Chapter 2: Songs in Bed

Chapter Text

Fourth Moon of 283 AC - King’s Landing

Lyanna POV

“What are you doing, husband?” Lyanna asked with suspicion and looked over her shoulder at him. Rhaegar’s hand stilled on her lower back as he returned her look.

“I am admiring the best of your attributes, wife,” he teased with a soft kiss to her spine.

“Hmm… yes, of course. As long as your admiration does not turn to worship. You have spent yourself twice tonight,” she reminded him teasingly. Lyanna’s nethers ached at the thought of their recent bouts of lovemaking. They had retired after early supper and had entertained themselves for many hours. She tightened her legs together to ease her slight discomfort before adding, “Any more, and you shall be useless in the morning.”

Rhaegar let out a laugh and ran his fingers through his hair.

“Steffon is more than capable of leading a council meeting in my steed,” he returned with a lazy smile. Lyanna let out a small noise as his free hand cupped a cheek of her toned bottom. “Besides, my admiration of your arse was rousing a song, not my loins.”

“Rhaegar!” She exclaimed with mock outrage.

“A poem, really—though one could form a song with ease,” he mused out loud and pulled her naked body closer to his own.

Withholding her mirth, she asked, “Oh, and how would such a poem go?”

“She had the fattest of bottoms—”

Rhaegar easily knocked away the feather-filled pillow she threw before bursting into laughter. Her husband’s joy was contagious, and they collapsed in a tangle of limbs.

Lyanna soon found herself on her back with Rhaegar’s hands lightly clasped around her wrists. As he nuzzled the length of her neck, she was unsurprised to feel his stiffening manhood against her thigh.

“Nay, simple words would do your bottom no justice, my love,” he murmured. He gave a kiss to both peaks of her breast before saying, “Your front is as beautiful as your backside, I’m afraid. I would need to write many verses. It may even take me years to finish.”

“You will need inspiration for such a task,” Lyanna said as she lifted her hips against his own.

Rhaegar answered with a hum and kissed her once more.

Notes:

Thanks for reading! Life got in the way the past few years. I sort of got hung up on how to combine "Vessels for Fate" from my initial draft to what I had for the end. Then Game of Thrones finished, and I was a bit depressed about how the story went. I also have *two* kids now! But I've been loving House of the Dragon and have been working on "Vessels for Fate" in Google Docs when I have time. I do plan on uploading more or re-submitting it again once I'm done.

But for now, please enjoy all these snippets.
