Summary
“I don’t know,” He finds himself staring at another picture. Max is laughing brightly, to the point where his eyes are crinkled, and his mother is smiling too. There is a navy cap on her head: it is a Red Bull cap. Max’s Red Bull cap. “It’s just hard to imagine, I think.”
Pascale looks at him. For a moment it is an odd look. But that quickly melts into a smile. One that is gentle around the eyes, and soft on the mouth. Somehow, it makes Charles feel young again — younger than how he already feels; twenty-one in a world where he is twenty-five.
“You don’t have to imagine it, mon garçon,” she says quietly. “It has already happened.”
Or,
The last thing Charles remembers is the 2019 Austrian Grand Prix.

Summary
This was the part where he was supposed to walk away. Shut it all down. Delete the alt account, torch the Twitter, chuck the phone in the minibar freezer, and go take another cold shower. Again. But instead, he accepted the request. Like a complete idiot. Like he didn’t have the impulse control of a wet napkin.
Christ. He was definitely thinking with his dick. There was absolutely no way this was going to end well.
OR The only thing faster than Oscar on track is the speed at which he gets folded in half once Lando finds out his secret.

Summary
It all started with a crash.
Well, technically, it started with a blue-eyed boy with blonde hair getting screamed at in a language he couldn’t understand when he was only 8 years old. He remembered looking at the boy, who couldn’t be much older than himself - (two weeks older, to be exact, he’d learn later) - and watching the spark disappear right out of those icy blue eyes.
That was the first memory Charles Leclerc had of Max Verstappen: Watching Jos Verstappen, Max’s own father, scream at this 8 year old child with an intensity that turned his face red and made every blood vessel in his neck look dangerously close to bursting.
But if anyone ever were to ask Charles when he started to realize that his feelings towards that same Max Verstappen he had known since childhood had begun to change into something else, something bigger, something terrifying he couldn’t - or wouldn’t - quite put his finger on, he would say that it all started with a crash.
Because of fucking course it did.

Being too close with your boss is never a good thing, but George Russell couldn't complain -- after all, being able to wake up in a luxurious bed in the Monacan morning sun was a delightful experience. Waking up to your boss cooking you breakfast was also sweet, but having to learn about news from work was certainly not.
A depiction of an average day with George Russell and being the mistress of your boss. The best part was all the perks, the money, the sweet talk -- how about the worst? Well, having to spend time in his own mind.

Summary
“Max just bulldozes his way through everyone,” George said with a shrug. “Like we’re all just there for him to crush. He’s not even racing—he’s on some kind of mission, like he’s got a point to prove.”
Lando nodded, rolling his eyes. “He’s always driving like it’s life or death. I mean, what’s he so desperate about?”
Charles clenched his fists, his jaw tightening as he listened to them. They had no idea what Max had been through to get here—what it had cost him just to be himself on the track. The other drivers laughed, the reporters scribbled notes, and Charles walked away, feeling a simmering anger rise in his chest.
Or: AU if Max wasn’t friends with the other drivers, how mean would they get?
