Tommy looks ahead, glances back at his footsteps in the snow to make sure he’s keeping direction. He stares at the snow for a bit longer than usual, his breath coming out in puffs of smoke as he feels his throat grow tight. He keeps moving, trying to think. Trying to form some sort of plan.
“Don’t you see what’s happening here?! Don’t you see history repeating itself?!” Techno’s voice rings in his head, and Tommy closes his eyes, grits his teeth and feels them chatter together. He pulls at the cloth over his shoulders, even though it doesn’t do shit against the wind.

Hey yall, following so much of everything revealed about certain content creators involved in the lore of these characters, I no longer feel comfortable continuing this fic until further notice. I don't know if my mind may change in the future, but I will keep this story up for the sake of those who enjoyed this story in the past. There's magic on his tongue, he's in his childhood home, and his family is still dysfunctional but they are at least together. He can prevent their destruction if he can just get past his own grown fears of them. He can do this by himself, it's what is best for them all. He can keep them from breaking apart, keep Wilbur and Tubbo from all the pain they've experienced. Tommy can do this for them, even if he's a little bit cracked now. If they get suspicious, well, what was that play Wilbur mentioned once? Hamlet? Tommy can just do what that guy did.
(Tommy time travels into the past and begins to disguise his traumatic responses as the same kind of Chat Madness his older brother Techno is known for. But madness begets madness, and how far can Tommy go with a lie that begins to bleed at the edges?)
