Chapter Text
The sun beamed down through the clear blue sky, the ocean reflecting some of the sun's light off as it's waves wash away any remains that may linger on it's surface. A small glass bottle floats among it's currents as a shadow passes over it. Icy blue eyes stared down on the ocean in curiosity and awe, her mouth agape as she pressed her face against the plane's window. A giggled rang out from behind her.
"Yukiko, you shouldn't squish your face against the window" Izuku told his daughter with a warm a smile, not really angry but just amused at his youngest child.
Midoirya Yukiko, spun her head back to look at her father with a smile of her own "Sorry dad! But I'm excited! We're going to go and live with grandma Inko!" The girl exclaimed, her excitement seeming to overwhelm the older man who is her father "And I get to go to a new school! New people!"
Before Izuku could reply to his daughter's enthusiasm, another voice rang out from behind them, hands coming from above and over the seat to ruffle up Yukiko's dark highlighted hair, causing the young girl to give a startled yelp "Ah!"
"Calm down will ya sis!" A rougher voice sounded out from behind them, Izuku looked up to see his eldest daughter, Katsuko standing and leaning over the airplane seat with a smile as she ruffles her twin's hair up "We're not even in Japan yet!" She exclaimed, her own eyes shining with excitement.
He chuckled at this "Now now, Katsuko, you should calm down too and get back to your seat. You're just as excited to arrive in Japan as your sister"
Katsuko merely giggled and went back to her seat.
Ever since they all came to terms to the fact that Katsuko was going to be transferred to U.A, the family was beyond ecstatic, so ecstatic that even Inko herself could feel their enthusiasm and happiness all the way in Japan when they were all still in America. Either that or it was her maternal instincts acting up way past what should be human, then again this world filled with quirks is the norm, maybe it was an extra quirk she was never aware off. Who really knows.
Granted, even though Katsuko was originally trying to get into the hero course, she's going to end up in General Education while her sister transfers into another a different high school, one where Izuku himself will soon be teaching at.
While Yukiko goes back to staring through the window and Katsuko probably taking out a book to study, yes in the plane, Izuku took out his phone and begin to stroll through the news.
In all honesty, he didn't think that he'd be moving back to Japan after he had the twins. Having to support two little girls on his own did take a certain toll on him in trying to make time for them in between his job and trying to find a babysitter who is actually qualified to take care of them whenever he needs to be away. It didn't help much that he lived in, what was used to be known as New York City, Hellsalem's Lot. He couldn't trust just anybody to be his girls's babysitter.
Because of this, Yukiko and Katsuko have become more independent more quickly early on, somehow balancing school work and house chores, even learning how to cook rather quickly then Izuku had expected them to when he decided to show them how to cook when they were around 11 years old and somehow ended up surpassing him that department as well.
His 12 year old daughters could cook better then he could and that just makes him feel proud and undeniably pathetic at the same time. He merely smiles in the end, he was quite glad that the girls managed to grow up this quite but at the same time disappointed in himself that he couldn't do any better to provide for them so that they didn't have resort to cooking themselves.
But with all of the chaos that he had now gotten used to in the city and the fact that he barely found time to find a different place to move too. He never would have expected to move at all.
Of course, that is until his daughter passes the exams necessary to transfer to U.A's General Studies.
His finger stopped moving as Izuku's eyes suddenly landed on a familiar face that just appeared on his screen, halting his previous thoughts almost immediately as crimson red eyes and blonde spiky hair entered his view.
Ground Zero saving many people from a devastated apartment building that was leveled down by a villain attack.
Izuku continued to stare at the face of his old childhood friend until his phone's screen blacked out from the lack of activity. He blinked.
He put his phone down and suddenly had the urge to look out the window himself, but turning around he could see Yukiko still hogging the window for herself to gawk at, Izuku went back to his phone.
Other then the news, Izuku hasn't seen his childhood friend since the two have parted ways after graduating middle school. He can tell by just looking at the blonde that he has changed during his training to become a hero which lead to his debut as the hero Ground Zero.
Izuku let out a small quiet sigh, his mind wondering deeper into his thoughts as he thought about the pro hero who was making his way up the ranks to becoming the next number one hero. He wonders to himself if he will ever meet him again.
"Dad? Dad hey"
Izuku snapped out of his thoughts and noticed the flight attended beside him and his daughter shaking his arm.
"H-huh?"
How long was he lost in thought?
"Dad? Are you alright? You've been staring at the phone for a long while now, the nice lady over there kept telling you to put away your phone for landing" Izuku looked at his phone, the screen seemed to have blacked out again. How long was he staring at his phone for?
He turned to his daughter, a reassuring smile coming to his face "I'm fine Yuki, I just got lost in thought" He said putting his phone away.
He could here the flight attendant sigh in relief before leaving and Izuku looked back to Yukiko's concerned face, he raised his hand to give her a reassuring pat on the head.
Yukiko always liked pats on the head. He knows this makes her feel appreciated.
