A Kacchako fanfiction where they along with U.A deal with the aftermath of the ultimate battle in a society where they're being viewed as the villains.

Notes:

Hello everyone! This is my first fanfiction and I'm hell nervous publishing this.
I don't know how much frequent the chapters are going to be. I'm already juggling between college and two internships, so please bear with me.
Also, English is my second language and I don't have a proofreader so there is a possibility for some errors. I'll try to edit as much as I can before uploading.
This is the prologue and I'll try my best to upload the next chapter as soon as possible.
Hope you guys like it!
Warning: Manga spoilers upto chapter 300.

Chapter 1: The Prologue

Chapter Text

Few years back when All For One and the League of Villains got away from that full out war between the Heroes of Musutafu and Shigaraki Tomura, all hell broke loose on the civilians and the heroes. Many long-standing heroes resigned and became the point of people’s fury and hatred. The Top-10 ranking heroes were defeated mercilessly--many who lost their lives at that battle were targeted for incompetence and were repeatedly abused for dying in vain. That time Hero ranked No. 1 Endeavor even after surviving that brutal war couldn’t take the guilt of causing such destruction at the hand of his eldest son Touya Todoroki (alias Dabi) and took his own life after only a few days. Hawks and Miruko couldn’t survive the life threatening injuries, and Best Jeanist, the No. 3 hero, couldn’t handle all the hate and retired in the light of giving young heroes new opportunities. Edgeshot was brutally murdered in the rampage by villains as revenge. Eraserhead and the remaining faculty of U.A. disappeared without a trace overnight. Some contemplated it was to mourn the loss of Midnight; however, when they didn’t resurface after months, they were stamped as cowards and cursed for their incompetence. The remaining heroes were either so maimed that they had to retire or took their own lives as the guilt for such mass destruction ate them from inside. All in all, the entire hero force was obliterated in merely a few months. As a result, the villains became rampant and civilians tried to take matter into their own hands which led to massacre after massacre.

In all this, a force of quirkless scientists called QX seized the whole country and having a quirk became an anomaly. Japan as a whole got cut-off from the rest of the world. They instated major laws where any quirked individual became a criminal and under all the politics were actually used as lab rats. The remaining heroes were used as political propaganda and puppets to show the civilians how having a quirk is the main problem, and with this they started marketing quirk-erasing serums. People brainwashed and helpless and trying to just fit into this new normal all started opting for such an “out”. Because according to all of them, having a quirk has always been solely beneficial for heroes and where has that led us all.

Japan now is segregated into zones not cities. There’s no natural beauty left; it can be referred to as having only buildings and new tech and illusions. The outer zones are the ones where the least privileged ones live, who refuse to reinstate themselves in this new society and accept having no quirk, the villains that live off the fear of remaining civilians and are used as mercenaries by the QX government. The middle zones are composed of the laboratories and military technology. They’re run by the psychopathic scientists and merciless military force whose mission is to eradicate or capture every quirked individual and that promise to protect the privileged population in the inner zones. People living in these shielded zones are the ones who gave up their quirks for glory, money, and safety. There’s a collective hatred for ex-heroes and quirked individuals. All the brainwashing and the war aftermath has left these people with only hatred, agony, jealousy, ruthlessness, and bloodthirst.

Now the question that’s been on everyone’s mind, “Where is Shigaraki Tomura? The League of Villains? All For One?” The people responsible for such mass destruction and this aftermath. There have been many theories as to where they’ve disappeared but no one has reached anywhere close to finding their whereabouts. Some say they all died as they were fleeing Japan, some say they’re just waiting to takeover once more, and some say they got bored so they went somewhere else. However, no one can deny the terror that still resides in the survivors.

In this Japan takeover and continuous reformations, where is the U. A.’s Class 1-A? The hero aspirants that fought tooth and nail at that battle of ultimatum. They survived the battle, they survived the reformations but where are they? Has anyone seen them in this renewed Japan? Have they also lost their quirks and joined the inner force? Are they still fighting? Or have they taken up a new path as villains to confirm the reports of terror they’ve been reported as?

Stay tuned with us for further revelations regarding our QX government and ex-heroes and where they are right now.
