Take My Hand And Show Me Yourself

Summary:

Dear King Leyton Nuvare of Gentin,
I am King Philza of Levre and I am writing to you about a war we might be facing. King Sourchire of Caitalin has challenged my views and wishes to meet with me. Knowing how he feels, and based on his past actions, I am afraid that this meeting will turn into a declaration of war.
Despite my adopted sons’ help building up our army, I’m afraid that we are no match for King Sourchire’s army.
Even if you will not support us during the war, or even during our meeting, I am hoping to strengthen our Countries’ relationship as to create safer spaces for beings of all species.
I wish you and your children the best in what comes for your country, and I thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
King Philza of Levre.

Chapter 1: Prologue - It Begins

Chapter Text

King Philza of Levre,

In response to your letter I will say this: myself, my children, and a few others will be there for the meeting.
However, having been able to stay out of war for the past 50 years, I can not give you any confirmation on where I shall stand if your fears become reality. I will fight King Sourchire with brains and debates, persuading him to let go of his foolish beliefs.
We shall leave in a few days time.
Thank you for bringing this problem to my attention.
King Leyton of Gentin

“We are leaving shortly children,” King Leyton announced to his children, having already asked the maids to pack the required clothes, “You may add whatever you want to your bags.”
“Where we goin’ Pops?” Jonathon asks, feet slung over the armrest of his chair as he lazed about. Katherine wasn’t much better, she was in loose pants and a shirt, legs pulled up unto the seat of her chair.
“We are visiting King Philza of Levre. King Sourchire is challenging the beliefs of equal rights. We are going to support King Philza in his debate. Bring your weapons but we are not to reveal them as we wish to remain peaceful,” the king commands, smiling down at his children as they both nod, neither making any sudden moves to get up.
Katherine then speaks up, “How short is shortly? Is this like in a few hours or a couple of days?”
“About a day. So no rush to pack, but don’t put it off until the last minute. I’m looking at you Furi.”
“Yeah yeah. I’ll do that now.” Jonathon peels himself off of the chair, stretching his arms over his head as his joints pop and crack. With a quick wave, Jonathon had exited the room leaving Katherine and her father alone.
“Just to let you know, I want to use this opportunity to let Furi get better at arguing. Figure out his speciality. So please help me in backing him up if he says anything wrong.”
“Of course Father. I should probably go pack as well, but before I go, is Lee coming along with us?”
King Leyton nods, “Lee, Vernia, and Markus are coming along with us. No one else which is why I said pack your weapons.” Katherine nods along to her father’s words before following her brother’s suit, standing up and exiting the room, preparing herself for what is to come.
