“... Iizuna-san. I heard he got the Best Setter award in last year’s Junior Olympic Cup!”
“Ah.”
Tsukasa’s ears perk up at the sound of his name, and he looks up to see two middle school kids hovering near him.
It’s Sakusa Kiyoomi... Should he try to talk to him? He’s heard Coach and Captain talk about recruiting him. He tries to catch his eye only to find him staring at the lint roller in his hand.
“Do you, uh… want to use this?”
“No. I have my own.” Sakusa whips out his own lint roller, eyes sparkling with something that wasn’t there a moment ago.
Tsukasa doesn’t know what to say after that. What he doesn’t realize is that there is no need for words — he’s already extended an offer more appealing than one any team in the prefecture could’ve made.
