"You've done something."
"Would you like to elaborate on that." Konro watched as Beni took off his shoes at the entrance of their fire station home. It was in the middle of the night the girls were already put down for sleep and Konro was a little more then pissed that he had (wanted) to wait up for Beni. However he didn't think that the wait would extend until 2am.
"Its 2 am."
"I can read the time"
"Can you explain why you were out this late what if an inferno sprouted."
"I believe in you and the rest of our troops, you guys could've handled it."Konro sneered with Beni's short and uncooperative answers. Meanwhile Beni had finally stripped off his boots and was about to take off his outer robes before he paused and pushed them back up on his shoulders shielding his flesh from the elder. A quick glimpse of guiltiness showed across Benimaru's face and he started the trudge to his room but Konro stopped him with his hand on Beni's shoulder.
"If your in any trouble you can tell me we're a family Benimaru, are you injured?" Beni shook his head.
"It's nothing honestly Konro, I'm okay goodnight."Benimaru shook Konro's hand off his shoulder then left for his room. Konro took a deep breath and stared at the spot where Beni had been standing, maybe he was being too over protective Beni can handle his own business and if he needed help Konro would be right there, ready to help.
However over the next two weeks Benimaru's behavior got too 'out of the normal' to ignore. Like how he started to wrap his neck in bandages or wore a turtle neck underneath his robes, and was a more frequent night owl leaving at 10:00 and not coming back before 2:00 am. In fact the twins now went around the whole town singing," Waka has a girlfriend, Waka has a girlfriend!". Benimaru swore to Konro that what they were singing was absolutely ridiculous but as Benimaru's behavior kept going Konro just couldn't be sure if his girls were lying.
So late on a Friday afternoon 2 weeks after the first incident Konro took the opportunity to finally stop Beni before he left the fire house grounds. He stood in from of his younger crew mate.
"Benimaru I hate to pull rank but I am your elder and I want to know where you go at these odd hours of the night." Benimaru just stared at him and an uncomfortable silence stretched through them both.
"I cant tell you."
"Why not?"
"I just cant." Konro crossed his arms.
"Is it illegal, gangs or drugs, please tell me it's not drugs you have such a bright future."
"Its not drugs or illegal stuff okay, its personal."
"How personal?"
"Very very personal."
"Why do you look guilty then every time you come back in at 2 am."
"I'm..not proud of what I am doing right now."
"IT IS DRUGS."
"IT'S NOT DRUGS."
Benimaru and Konro stared at each other for at least 3 minutes and the look on Konro's face said that he would not stop questioning until he got an answer. Benimaru took a deep breath and looked at a nearby wall clock, it was already 10:20 he was going to be late for his 'appointment' if the conversation kept going like this. He would have to tell Konro, he cringed at the idea but it would be the only way to get past his elder without fighting.
"I..I've been going to the 8th."
"The 8th fire force station, why are you training some of their recruits?"
"No I go to the captain." Konro's eyebrows raised.
"Does it have to do with something about the evangelist, what happened and why didn't you tell me."
"No no its nothing about the cult in fact they have kind of hit a dead end on that." Konro took a deep breath, his patience was beginning to dwindle down to its very last strings.
"Benimaru enough what is it that your actually trying to say, I've never known you to act this way and if I'm being honest you're worrying me, I just want to know that you're safe." Benimaru had a face of guilt and finally stood straight up.
"I go to 8th Fire Force station to see the captain because.. we have relations sir with no emotions." The air between the two fire soldiers was stiff and Konro took a deep breath.
"Relations, as in sex you're having sex with the captain of the 8th on a normal basis?"
"Yes exactly I didn't want to say anything before because I was a little ashamed but when the 8th was here the captain and my self shared some 'sexual moments' and now I go over there so we can have sexual moments more often." Konro nodded and all of a sudden all of Benimaru's hectic actions over the past 2 weeks suddenly made a lot of sense.
"Okay okay, well im glad you have someone and you must be happy if you keep on going, I mean you travel all the way to the 8th it must be good-"
"Konro!" Benimaru looked up and although he tried o suppress it he couldn't hide the built up blush on his face.
"But really I have to ask how god is the captain, I myself always though he would be packing but thats just my personal opinion." Benimaru threw his hands up over his ears and Konro couldn't help but laugh.
"Okay jokes aside,I know your embarrassed but I have some ground rules, just be back before 1:00 not 2am anymore and make sure to use condoms to stay safe, because I would hate for anything to happen to you and I just-"
"Enough, I'm leaving now." Benimaru pushed past Konro and took another glance at the clock. It was 10:44, damn it he was definitely going to be late now and with Konro's new rule they would definitely have to skip the foreplay.
"Be safe Beni, use lube too that's important in fact who gave you the bird and the bees talk, I know your old now but you should at least have the initial talk." Konro trailed off his sentence and laughed as Benimaru walked a little faster out the compound.
Bonus scene:
"ACHOOOO." Obi sniffed and the whole of the 8th excused him.
"ooh that means there's someone talking about you captain, or thats what ive always herd." Shinra commented and Arthur sneered.
"Thats not what that means you idiotic devil when you sneeze it means you have allergies." Arthur looked very proud of himself Shinra rolled his eyes.
"Drop it just be proud he knows that much Shinra." Vulcan laughed and Shinra hesitently agreed.
