Work Text:

Izuku loved his friends, truly, he did. He would do anything for them, such as go to jail for them. Wait... he would do that for free— not a good example, but that's not the point. Izuku would kill someone for them... but, that is also a freebie depending on the situation. But, who's asking?

And currently, Izuku is ready to go to war for his friend, Todoroki.

Seriously, it was a nice outing before the number-fucking-one hero and former number one hero had to come skipping over to the small reclusive cafe him and Todoroki chose to chill at.

Endeavor was shouting things towards Todoroki—something about missing a family meeting, which, Izuku didn't blame Todoroki. He was only around the Flame Hero for a few seconds and he was already reaching for his knife to cut out the man's voice box.

And no, Izuku wasn't joking. Izuku is seriously considering doing so.

"God, would you shut the fuck up? Man, you have the personality of a stale hot Cheeto that soaked in fucking piss and garbage. Shut up, no one cares," Izuku, once he had enough of Endeavor's voice (and he was sure that his friend did too), spoke up tiredly.

"Boy—" All Might placed a hand on top of Endeavor's shoulder, as he shook his head—speaking up for the Flame Hero,

"Young Midoriya! You shouldn't speak to your elder hero like that!" Of course, All-fucking-Might had to speak when he doesn't need to be speaking,

"And you should have said something when this jackass was being a dick, not when I defended my friend—sho, love, be a dear and get the fucking phone out and start to dial 119 because I can sense the bullshit from a mile away. Anyway," Izuku took a pause as he saw All Might try to open his mouth to interject himself once again.

Izuku rose a single hand, cutting off the former hero, as he gave a smile that was too sweet for his words,

"Sir, say anything and I will actually hit you," Izuku warned but do people take the warnings? No. No they do not.

"That is no way you should— augh!" In a flying motion, Izuku was up from his seat, and his fist was connecting to the former hero's nose—earning the sickening and pleasurable crack.

"I fucking warned you. You want some too, Endeavor!?" Izuku grinned wildly, as he challenged the number one hero,

"You disrespectful brat! You don't know who you're playing with!" Roared the hero before he jumped in action and attacked the teen who swung out his knife, also pouncing towards the older male.

Farther in the background, Todoroki held a phone up to his ear, talking to the police while the fight went on,

"Uh, All Might is down and hurt... and no, Izuku didn't stab him. Can't say the same for my father though, he pulled a knife on him right away," Todoroki informed the detective who could be heard groaning from the other end of the call.

...

Izuku's dad allowed him to spend the full day at U.A., which, of course, Izuku took full advantage of and enjoyed. At the moment, Izuku is currently sitting on top of Tokoyami's desk, talking to his favorite person (well favorite next to his mom and dad, but they don't count), when he saw it.

And it being some General Ed student trying to harass and touch all of the girls in the class. Izuku, he swore that the General Ed student used to be part of Class 1-A for a single hour before his dad kicked him out for trying to touch Yaoyorozu.

Izuku definitely remembered his father coming home upset and complaining about a teen with purple balls on top of his head not being 'hero material' and if he doesn't get expelled, the best he had going for him was assault charges.

Izuku zeroed in on the scene, stopping his mindless chatter with Tokoyami in favor of his other friends. How did he even get into the classroom? Izuku, he doesn't know nor does he care, instead, Izuku found himself rising from his seat with his knife already twirling between his fingers as he casually strolled over to the uncomfortable girls.

Izuku easily crept behind Mineta as he forced the teen boy back away from the girls. And in a swift motion, Izuku had twirled his sharpened blade against his throat—lightly pressing against Mineta, to prove a silent, threatening, point.

"How about you go back to your class, and leave this one alone. If you don't, it won't be pretty," Izuku sweetly told the bald-haired teen who was shaking in the spot he stood,

"A- are you guys just gonna let him do this!?" Mineta cried out, which, earned a deeper press against his throat. The teen, rightfully froze and shut up to the action.

"He's a wild card, but we love 'em like that," Uraraka said, waving off Izuku, whose eyes sparkled ferally and gave a wide wild toothy Cheshire grin that sent tumbling shivers down others' spine,

"Anymore questions, grape head?" A rapid head shake was received and Izuku shoved Mineta away with great force that sent the teen stumbling to catch his balance once again.

"Good. Now get the fuck away from my friends," Izuku growled like a wild dog, as he glowered at the scurrying teen.

An impressed whistle could be heard from Kaminari as he placed down his phone from recording the whole thing,

"Damn man, boy do be respecting his women," Kaminari muttered to himself almost in an awestruck tone.

...

Izuku was going to be good today, he told himself, he promised his mom that he wouldn't hurt anyone too bad. Izuku also promised his dad that he wouldn't do anything jail worthy. And, he, Izuku made a promise to Keigo to at least not to stab anyone— but in fairness Izuku, he doesn't go around stabbing anyone for fun! But he reassured his brother that he wouldn't stab anyone.

Izuku promised and he tried to keep the promises, but it was incredibly hard to do so when so many people needed to be hurt to get the bigger picture.

The situation Izuku is in currently isn't helping him either. He just wanted to get some chips with Sero and Bakugou. He just wanted some fucking chips. But no, of course he couldn't even do that in peace.

There was a fucking robbery because of course there's one! But to make matters worse, the criminals seem to be new to what they are doing, and have no clue on how to rob a freaking 7-Eleven.

Izuku, he was about to kill someone, he just wasn't sure who just yet.

"Mido, dude, you good—?" Sero quietly asked the literally vibrating teen. No, he wasn't 'good'! He was far from it. He could feel the twitching in his hands as his eyes burned from staring intensely at the criminals who actually had tired people waiting in line to pay for their things. They weren't even intimidating.

"No. Someone is going to die," Izuku told Sero, who nodded and whispered 'cool, cool,' while backing away from Izuku.

"Nerd, don't do that. You're supposed to be good," Bakugou warned, and Izuku watched as the criminals dropped the whole wanting to rob the store.

"..." Izuku didn't say a word, as his eyes trained onto the two men in front of him.

"Izuku, I swear to god—" Bakugou started, while Izuku watched as the criminals started to make friendly chatter with the cashier when they found out they had enough money to pay for the one item they had wanted.

"Don't you dare—" Bakugou didn't get a chance to say another word before a green blur flashed in front of him. Before Bakugou and Sero knew it, the two sort of criminals were both taken down in an instant with Izuku, a bit brutally, sat on the chest of one of the men, constantly beating down punches to the already poor comatose man.

"Oh for fuck's sake! Soy sauce—" Bakugou jerked his head around to address Sero, who already whipped out his phone.

"I know bro, already calling Tsukauchi."

...

"Dad, who is this bitch?" Izuku bluntly asked, his eyes never leaving the green-haired, weird pirate-like clown fusion dressed, laughing girl who seemed to put on a strained smile at being addressed so aggressively.

"Izuku..." Shouta's tone was low, and it was a warning. It was the tone that Izuku took as 'tread lightly' and be careful of what he says next. Usually, Izuku shuts his mouth when he hears his dad speak that way. But Izuku ignored it—seeing another woman wrap her arms around him in a not-so-platonic way and the clear uncomfortable state it left his dad in.

Instead, Izuku tilted his head, as he walked up to the woman and forced her arms off his dad, while, he once again asked,

"Who the fuck are you and why are you touching my dad?" Izuku demanded. If this woman didn't answer, there would be problems—and Izuku didn't mind having to hurt a hero. He did it once, and he will do it again.

"Your son is charming, Shou!" The girl ignored him and jumped back onto his dad's side, earning a twisted expression from Shouta.

"Joke, get off," Shouta said, his tone flat to most who heard it, but Izuku could hear the icy edge to it.

"Oh come on, Shouta! Live a little... like, marrying me is living life!" She giggled like a high school girl who was asking her crush out and Izuku didn't like that at all. Izuku, he already has a perfectly good mom at home and Izuku's dad is happily married to her. This bitch was trying to ruin that—

"I told you I'm married, Joke—Izuku put your gun away—and for the last time, get off," Shouta shoved off Joke with a lot more force than needed, earning a soft omph from the woman as she took a stumble.

"Ehh... so rude! But I like them feisty!.. Wait, did you say your son had a gun?" She paused, turning her attention onto him, and Izuku smiled brightly and gave a bob of his head.

"Yeah! Wanna meet her? She's a nice shooter," Izuku winked, taking pleasure at the horrified expression Joke pulled and the sigh his dad gave as he replied tiredly,

"Izuku, no."

...

Let it be known, Izuku loves his friends and if anyone messes with them, hell will reign on this earth for daring even thinking about it. And currently, he was ready to commit murder for hurting his best friend.

Izuku held a crying Ochako in his arms as he shushed her, trying to soothe the girl's pain but, it didn't seem to work. He glanced at Ashido, who was by Ochako's other side, holding her too, while trying her best to bring comfort to the girl—

"Oh love, look at me," Izuku said in a coo as he raised the girl's head by her chin and in a gentle motion, swiped away her tears with his thumb,

"I can absolutely get rid of those idiots for betting on you to be your friend and taking advantage of your kindness. You are a goddess, a queen, no one should have to bet to be your friend only for money or materialistic givings. You are amazing, baby," Izuku told Ochako who sniffled lightly, while Ashido spoke up happily,

"Yeah! Midori is correct! Fuck 'em! You don't need them! You're stronger than them, and could send them to a whole new world," Ashido agreed and gave a bright smile. Ochako cracked her own smile, while wiping away her own stray tears and nodded lightly,

"Yeah.. Yeah you're right. I don't need him," she muttered, before sitting up from Izuku's chest with a newfound confidence that shined within her chocolate eyes,

"I have you guys and the entire class. My tears aren't worth them," she said with a huff, and Ashido gave a slap on her shoulder, grinning boldly,

"Atta girl!" She proudly cheered, and Izuku watched on as Ochako sniffled and grinned just as proudly too..

.. and if later on within the week, three U.A. students went missing off the face of the earth, no one said a word.

...

"Oh! Hi! Kei nii! It's rare that you pick me up!" Izuku chirped happily seeing his brother from another mother (or, well, brother from another set of parents but who's correcting), drag himself down to the temporary holding cell, which, is where Izuku currently was at while he played Uno with Tokoyami who also, got sent to jail with him.

"Yeah, and it's also rare having to come pick up your brother and his friend at three am for doing a fucking demonic ritual in a Chick-fil-A parking lot." Oh. Keigo did not sound impressed at all.

"Mr. Hawks, but is it not amusing? They thought we were possessed and threw the 'holy' extra spicy barbecue packets at us," Tokoyami told the bird hero who paused, and stared at Tokoyami before at Izuku who was in his own puddle of tears with laughter remembering how terrified the workers were,

".. Know what Tsukauchi, I'll come back in the morning. I'll leave these little shits to rot," Keigo promptly turned his heel and left before either Tokoyami or Izuku could sputter out an apology.

...

"But mamaaaa!" Izuku whined, as he held tightly onto his favorite collection of weapons. Inko placed a hand on her hip, as she raised a brow at the display,

"Izuku, don't force me to take them," she warned the teen who pouted further and defiantly, turned his back away,

Inko sighed to this, and with a simple wave of her hand—knives, guns, tasers, swords, and many more, were floating in the air and away from Izuku.

"I told you sweetie, if you went to jail more than twenty times this month, I'd take everything. And how many times did you go?" Inko questioned the now sulking boy who muttered,

"Twenty-nine..." Inko sighed harshly as she used her free hand to pinch the bridge of her nose,

"No, thirty. Thirty," she stressed, and Izuku pouted further and muttered once again,

"The thirtieth time wasn't even my fault!"

"The fact you were even involved, Izuku, is enough," true disappointment and true exhaustion and exasperation leaked in Inko's tone while she carried off Izuku's weapons—leaving the pouting teen in the living room.

...

"Toko," Izuku called out to his bird-headed friend who gave a silent hum as a small acknowledgment.

Izuku grinned, rolling over onto his stomach and staring up at his friend with what could only be described as chaotic mischief,

"I wanna do something,"

"Alright..." Tokoyami warily said, now fully paying attention to what Izuku has to say. When the green-haired teen wants to do something, it's usually big and it usually could end with a couple of days in jail or life in prison—which both aren't fun.

"Let's go ask Kacchan, Kirichan, Ashibae, Hanta, and Urabae, if they all want to go to a random store in Chiba to buy some bread before we sneak into the zoo and feed the animals. I'm bored," Izuku said with a grin and a small kick of his legs while Tokoyami sighed heavily,

".. It's ten at night, Izuku."

"And your point is?"

"It takes two hours to get there."

"So?" Izuku tilted his head, with a shrug, and Tokoyami just shook his head and chuckled lightly.

"Fair answer. Let's go."

...

"How in the hell did you all get locked up for trespassing and illegally feeding zoo animals? In Chiba no less!" Shouta asked, tired and so done with his class,

"I was bored, dad," Izuku said with a shrug, and hums and mutters of low agreement came from behind him.

"Izu bro wanted to do it so..." Kirishima said sheepishly, while Sero also agreed,

"Yeah. I was interested so," he muttered with a meek neck rub.

"Someone had to be there to make sure the dumbasses were in check," Bakugou grumbled, rolling his eyes, and Shouta stared at them with a deadpan,

"But did that work out?"

"Well is anyone murdered, stabbed, or anything burned up?" Bakugou asked as if it was the most obvious thing and, his dad, could only sigh..

"I fucking need a raise."

...

"Izuku-kun, what exactly do you do?"

"Huh?" Izuku looked up at Yaoyorozu who asked a question one morning while he was visiting U.A.,

"I mean.. you don't go to U.A., and you get into trouble a lot that causes you to get arrested.. so I assume you don't go to any hero schools right?" she asked, with a head tilt, and Izuku slowly nodded his head. It was true, he didn't go to a hero school—but it wasn't as if he didn't try. Being quirkless didn't freaking help him.

It's funny really, Izuku tried out for U.A. first, knowing they dropped the whole 'you need a quirk to get in' yet, him not having a quirk was for that reason he didn't pass. And other hero schools didn't even allow him to try to get in once they found out he had no quirk.

"So, really, it wasn't as if Izuku didn't want to be a hero. It's just heroes didn't want him—which, wow, that hurts to think about."

"I suppose I'm a weird vigilante that is protected by the quirked law because I'm quirkless. I wanted to be a hero legally but..." Izuku allowed the air to speak for him as he looked back down at the desk and fiddled with his fingers. Suddenly, they were very interesting.

Though, Izuku found himself looking up when he felt the gentle and welcoming touch of Yaoyorozu on his shoulder as she gave him a kind smile,

"Ah. I see. If anything, you still are a hero, at least to me. And I'm sure class 1-A agrees, after all, we are a family and you are a part of it," she told him, and God—he felt the stinging in the corner of his eyes as his throat burned from holding back the sudden emotions that took over him.

"I..." Izuku could only say, as he smiled a watery smile and blinked away the tears that stubbornly clung to his lashes as he spoke genuinely,

"Thank you, Momo," Izuku softly said as the girl nodded her head and backed away with a softer smile.

"Of course, Izuku."
