"I'm on half way there and I can't just give up this shit."
Renjun whisphered to himself while tapping his ballpen nonstop on the hardwood table. Then suddenly, someone hushed him from doing it because it's making a loud noise. Oops, he forgot he was in a library.
He's been staring at this crossword for almost half an hour trying to find these last 5 words that he can't find. He has time before his next class and instead of dozing off at one of the benches outside, he just decided to answer a crossword from a book that Donghyuck gave him because he gave up answering them. He's starting to get irritated but he keeps himself motivated for he's almost finished. Renjun bites his lower lip to help him concentrate a little bit more.
Someone sat on the opposite side of the table. Renjun is not minding him and just focusing on finding the words until the other guy spoke.
"Try rotating it to the left and you'll see the first word and the fourth one you're finding. Then rotate it to the right to see the last three."
"I don't need your help."
"You're welcome."
Renjun looked at him and gave him a cold glare. Who the hell is this guy and why he's trying to mess up his puzzle? The guy with glasses just smiled in return and put out his books of biology and chemistry.
'Oh, so he's a science major student. No wonder. They love to mess people around, mostly showing off their knowledge. Not in general but in my university, yes they all are,' Renjun thought.
"And why would I trust you? What if you're just kidding around and trying to make me a fool if I followed you?" He stops on flipping pages and looks at him. No, stares at him. He's staring deeply, like he's searching for Renjun's inner soul.
'Weird,' he thought.
"Try and let's see, Mr. Puzzle."
He then puts his arm above the table and rests his head on his right hand. He's smiling like an idiot and it's creeping the older out. Renjun snobs him as he gets back to his unsolved puzzle.
He really tried rotating it to the left and the guy's right, Renjun got the first and the fourth words. He crossed them out and looks at him. The guy nodded while still smiling. He rotated it to the right and got the final three words crossed out.
'How did he see that with just only looking on the opposite side of the paper?' Renjun thought.
"See? Sometimes you just have to trust." He said as he flips the pages of his book again. Renjun heaves a deep sigh and watches him read then take notes on his notepad. When the guy felt that he is being watched, he stopped and lifts his head to meet each other's eyes.
"What?" he asked.
"How did you found it? I've been looking at those words for almost 10 minutes and you just saw it after giving it a glance on the opposite direction of the puzzle."
"Mr. Puzzle, to find a solution on a problem doesn't mean you only have to see it on one side. Most of the times, seeing it on the different perspective can be a help." He flashes again his smile and Renjun thought he just gave him a life lesson.
"You're smart. Thank you for your help. I'll remember that." Renjun glanced at his watch and it's 15 minutes before his next class so, he immediately shelved his things in his bag and about to leave when the guy called him on that nickname.
"Wait, Mr. Puzzle"
"Yes?"
"Try smiling too, I, uh, think you look better when you smile." Renjun chuckled and nodded the guy's out of the blue suggestion.
"I will remember that.." as he flashes a smile and looks at the guy's uniform with his full name sewed on his left pocket, "...Jaemin."
