Work Text:
"it's just pickle. it's just pickle you can do this” She whispered to herself, trying desperately to get herself into a good enough facde to walk into work and not be questioned.
She was dressed in her usual attire, a simple grey hoodie that she would put on when she left for work. She was also wearing jeans with the bottom rolled up.
. Her backpack was filled to the brim, with various supplies, books, clothes, blankets, food, and more. Everything she needed to get through the day.
As soon as she made it downstairs, she opened the front door, ready for anything life threw at her. She was expecting a cold greeting from her coworkers before beinging working, not to expecting to see pickle of all people standing there, seemlying being introduced to her other coworkers.
"fuck me" she mumbled to herself, knowing that she was one of the only manager who could train people without being incompetent about it.
there was no way she could avoid this dilemma, but at least they were in a public settting. meaning that pickle couldn't tell at her for what she did,but she also couldn't just say sorry either. a win and a loss.
she growled low as she took off her sweater reavling a taco bell uniform underneath, throwing it into her backpack with the rest of her things.
she let out a sigh as she put on her hat, tucking her blonde hair into it,making sure none came out of the sides.
she shivered "god it's cold in here" she mumbled as she walked towards where pickle was,not looking very forward to training him as she knew how stuipd he was. but if she wanted to keep her job,and possibly get promoted. she'd have to suck it up.
she heard him say something along the lines of "what are you doing here?". making her roll her eyes at his ignorance. she wasn't going to waste any time talking to him,it might take forever to make sure he could do his job.
"we're going to start with doing the cash register and drive thru." she stayed, grabbing his wrist and pulling the taller aside.
he looked d down in anger and slight laugheter. that fact that taco of all people was working at taco bell was one of the funniest fucking things he had ever seen in his life.
she pulled him away from the other workers "listen. I'm trying to teach you this so you don't fuck around, and i'll do my best to be professional with you too,so just get to the point already" she spat out, taking a deep breath, not wanting her patience to run thinner than it already was.
pickles face contorted for a second, not expecting her harsh tone. he gave her a small nod,and went straight into the cash register area.
as soon as she was sure she was alone with him,she began speaking, her voice low.
she pointed at some cash register numbers, then at a box on the side of the counter.
"if you want to make change and pay for drinks, this is the number that has to go in the till"
he nodded his head, not really following her.
she sighed, pulling out her notepad, ready to write this lesson down again.
