Work Text:

Izuku collapsed to the ground as was his wont after a particularly hard workout; the grass was only a little itchy on his legs. Despite his boyfriend of two years being in an absolutely perfect, tiptop, chiseled abs, bulging pectorals, and hulking arms shape, Kacchan had asked Izuku to put together an intensive training routine for him. And as his personal trainer, Izuku couldn’t let him do it alone.

Katsuki loomed over him, dripping sweat and smiling like the devil. “Weak shit, nerd.”

Izuku scoffed then quickly changed into a pout. “Mean, Kacchan! You know I had three other clients today!”

“That should mean you’re perfectly warmed up then.”

Warmed up!? We ju-just did a 5-kilometer run after working abs, glutes, and biceps! After my other clients, and you want to do MORE ?” Izuku was shocked. He pulled an arm over his eyes to block out his bully of a boyfriend.

And though he couldn’t actually see Kacchan, he could hear him rolling his eyes. When he spoke his voice was thick with euphemism, “You sure you don’t want to get a little more cardio in?”

Izuku just groaned, his arm flinging itself back to his side on the grass so he could see Kacchan. No matter how vexed he was at him, he still thought Kacchan was pretty. The evening sun was coloring his hair a light orange, his face was flushed and sweaty, and his eyes were practically glowing.

“We’re in a public park, Kacchan.”

“I don’t see anyone around, Deku.”

Izuku laughed at him. He reached up an arm for Kacchan to grab, but they were at all the wrong angles so their clasped sweaty hands lingered in the air.

“Come lie down with me,” Izuku politely ordered. He knew he couldn’t get Kacchan to do anything he didn’t actually want to.

“What’s in it for me?” Kacchan asked, squeezing his hand.

Izuku pulled his arm a little. “I will give you…” he paused, thinking, “one kiss.”

“That’s the shittiest deal I’ve ever heard,” Katsuki fired back.

“With tongue?”

Kacchan let go of his hands and threw his arms up like he was making some big sacrifice. “Fine, I guess.”

“Yay! Kisses for Kacchan!”

Although Katsuki was already lying on the ground next to him, he made it seem like he was going to get up before Deku reached out to him again.

“You know I hate when you say that shit,” Katsuki said, blowing a piece of hair out of his eyes, “I’m not some fucking kiddy show.”

“No, but you are cute like one.”

“Why the hell do I put up with you?”

“Because you love me!” Izuku reminded him.

Katsuki leaned in for his one kiss with tongue, his bare chest meeting Deku’s clothed one. “Hell yeah, I do, nerd.”

Izuku giggled like it was his first time hearing Katsuki say he loved him, even though that had been years ago. He also gave him an extra kiss on the nose for being so sweet.

They broke apart and laid back on the grass. The evening was warm with a slight breeze, it smelled like freshly mowed grass and a wood fire somewhere, and the sun was creating a beautiful river of color in the clouds. Izuku took his first really deep breath since finishing his run. He truly was blessed.

He pushed himself up to his elbows and looked over at Katsuki. His chest was moving with his breath, his sweat glistened, his eyes were closed and he had a small smile playing on his lips. Fuck, he was so beautiful. Izuku was glad he was allowed to stare so brazenly. His eyes roved over the dip by Kacchan’s collar bones, the pink and twisted skin of his piercing scars, and the tautness of his abs.

“Kacchan?” Izuku started, hesitantly.

“Mm?”

“You still never told me how you got your scars.”

Kacchan cracked his eyes and looked at Izuku.

“Bear attack. Big one. I won.”

“Kacchan,” Izuku pleaded. He was so curious. He’d been curious since the first time he saw Kacchan take his shirt off when they were making out in his room after becoming official boyfriends. It felt like forever ago, it felt like yesterday.

“Ya really wanna know?” Kacchan asked him. He’d closed his eyes again but Izuku nodded anyway.

“I wanna know everything about you, Kacchan.”

“Tch. Alright, nerd. I fell,” Katsuki said, “Dad took me out hiking, it was our first climb of the season. I slipped on loose gravel, fell down the side of the incline and got struck through by some shit old steel framing that used to be up.”

Izuku tried to hold in his emotions, matching his reaction to the delivery of the news but he couldn’t. Tears were rolling down his face and he was blubbering into the crook of his boyfriend's neck.

“Oh my god, Kacchan. That’s horrible! I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have made you tell me, or relive that. Oh my god, Kacchan.”

Katsuki reached up the arm that wasn’t currently pinned by Deku’s body, and let it find a home in the green curls. He soothed Izuku with soft words and promised that it was okay. “I wouldn’t have told you if I didn’t want you to know.”

Izuku clasped tighter around Kacchan’s broad neck and shoulders, nodding into him. He peppered small kisses where his lips could reach and sniffled. He pulled back, giving Katsuki some room, then said, “I got snot on your shoulder.”

Kacchan just huffed a laugh and pulled Izuku into him again, “Not like you haven’t covered me in worse, Deku.”

“Public. Park. Kacchan!”

“Cum, Deku. I was talking about you getting cum all-”

Izuku covered his boyfriend's mouth with his hands before he could continue and gave him a stern look. Katsuki bit the fleshy part of Izuku’s palm, making him yelp and pull away.

“Mean, Kacchan!” Izuku scolded again. He softened when he saw Katsuki’s smile, even if it didn’t reach up to his eyes.

Quietly, Izuku asked him another question. “How old were you?”

Katsuki fixed him a look, raising his chin slightly. “15.”

“Oh, Kacchan!” And Izuku was crying again. His hands reaching up to cover his face.

“Oi, Deku,” Kacchan said softly, pulling his hands away and wiping his tears for him. “Public park, cut it out. People are gonna think I’m breaking your heart over here or something.”

“No! We love each other very much!” Izuku said to the zero people in the park with them. He looked down at Kacchan again, “I love you very much.”

“I love you too, idiot. Stop your crying, it was years ago. Plus I got kickass scars to go along with your kickass scars.”

Izuku laughed at the attempt to cheer him up. He felt bad that he was making Kacchan comfort him over something that didn’t even happen to him. He let his arms wander from Katsuki’s hands to his biceps, then shoulders, then the scar that sat above his heart. He traced it with his fingers, and Katsuki hummed at the featherlight touch. “Your kickass scars make you look very hot, Kacchan.”

“Damn right they do,” Kacchan said, looking at him with a smirk.

“So hot, I almost could do another round of cardio.”

Katsuki’s eyes darkened just like Izuku hoped they would. The smirk shifted to a wicked grin that played on Katsuki’s lips.

“Home?” was all he asked.

Izuku nodded with fervor. “Yes, please,” he said, pushing up to his feet at the same time as Katsuki.
