THE WORLD
Four Becomes One is a dungeons and dragons fifth edition campaign set in an urban fantasy world where there are four kingdoms, on four islands; The Kingdom of Heat, The Kingdom of Crisp Leaves, The Kingdom of Regrowth, and The Kingdom of Snow. The four islands are connected by large bridges that were constructed before the industrial era, but have been updated to be a lot safer. Despite the fantasy setting, there's no dragons destroying towns, and no dungeons to kill goblins in. The campaign starts in the Kingdom of Heat.
The Characters
Ava (Player Character)

Class: Ranger (Gloomstalker Subclass)

Age: 27
Backstory: She is an absolute disaster. Orphaned at a young age, she met Vola in a small town in the Kingdom of Crisp Leaves, where they became fast friends, and eventually part of the same adventuring party. When Ava first started adventuring, they were a warlock who held a pact with the Archfey, but this changed some time after Ava fell in love with Vola. Being the dumbass she is, they decided to not tell Vola about this until after a fight gone wrong, when she felt herself slipping away, and with her last breath she confessed their love for Vola. Fortunately, the party's cleric had revivify, but now Ava had to go through the horrifying ordeal of dealing with the consequences of her actions and talking about her emotions like an adult. So understandably instead of doing all that, she broke off her pact, fled the country, and spent about half a year living in the forest before the events of the campaign. She's so stupid, they're lucky she's cute.

Class: Fighter (Cavalier Subclass)

Skin: Dark Green
Age: 28
Born and raised in the same village they met Ava in, Vola spent most of their life as a smith's apprentice before taking on adventuring, mostly taking jobs with low pay that could really help people, quickly earning her party a status as folk heroes. Almost every other person in the Kingdom of Crisp Leaves seems to know Vola, which will hopefully help them track down where Ava has fled to. You'd think that making a weapon for someone would make her realise you like them, especially when you've never done it for anyone else, but Ava always has been dense as bricks...
Aster Blackthorn (Player Character)
Pronouns: She/Her [I think, might be wrong but also it's like 3:30 am in this player's timezone as of writing this]
Race: Human
Class: Druid (Circle of the Forest Subclass)
The newest addition to the FBO party, Aster is a biologist who specialises in flora. Incredibly kind and incredibly smart, she unfortunately looks like she may already be well on her way to becoming both the party's single braincell and its impulse control.
Dhonos "Donny" Keslath

Race: Triton
Class: Rogue (Arcane Trickster Subclass)
Hair: White
Eyes: Green
Skin: Green
Donny is the heir to a crime family, one of many siblings in the Keslath family. While the Keslaths have been one of the biggest mob presences in the Kingdom of Snow for decades, they are currently working on switching over to the (relatively) straight and narrow. Donny is a prolific prankster, often enlisting the help of his chameleon familiar Hyde.
Spade

Race: Human
Class: Wizard (School of Evocation subclass)
Hair: Brown
Eye: Green
Skin: Pale
Spade (formerly Detective Spade) is a middle aged man who is really going through it. An absolute dad. Despite being a cop until recently he's a pretty good guy, and while he might not know how, he's trying his best to be there for his daughter Riley, which is more than can be said about other fathers.
