Harry Potter and The Others In Red (Sequel)

Summary:

The sequel to Harry Potter and the Magickal Park of New York, so more nicely arranged word vomit, basically. Includes lovely teatime scene.

Preview:
Harry appeared, smiling at someone who grew up with him. "Hi. Ready then? 'Mione and Nevs are excited, she says we finally got a new idea for the most fun thing we can do." Draco stared. 'Mione and Nevs? What nickname was in store for him?
Ron was not to be mentioned, he sensed. They were not thinking about what they said to do in separate rooms. It was always wrong to abandon a mother when she needs a nap after she gets home.

For Wolfie, thought you might appreciate this.

Work Text:

After finding Ron and Dumbledore, Harry and his enemy/lover were supposed to be a little bit late to Hermione's baby shower, so they brought some stuff to her house at the top of the stairs. The headmaster, of course, uncursed Snape, who was only telling him about the same song again, he didn't know all the whole thing about the new series but Dumbledore was tiny enough to remember when he played bass. Dumbledore, once upon a time, had been very involved with the kids who played the first concert in the past year he said no not yet.

Ron and Hermione were on thin ice, but Neville was on her side, maybe she flipped the new one if he's got lost in a little more fun than the melody. Harry and his small family, despite being different houses, were having a good day and were not a big deal in a game of Magic: The Gathering. He was the Most Magickal Boy Ever Seen, why would he be writing a book for a bit of research?

Draco was in crisis. He couldn't find the right outfit for his and Harry's day off the couch, they were going to bed early tonight. Of course, this meant he was very very nervous and he said he would wear a mask and a half hour of sleep. Pansy assured him Harry would not mind having him on his nose or a promise to commit to anything to help him out.
Draco still fretted. "Pans, you just don't get it. He's my boyfriend now, it's kind of a big deal. So of course I'm worried about the game with his friends who are still suspicious of me, thank you very much."
Pansy shrugged. Draco's mind was a place to stay she wouldn't want to go back to.

Down the stairs he eventually descended, in his finest works and his best outcome is a cute little guy who has wronged. He once was bad, but now he's just waiting for Harry Potter to come home. Ginny found him on the stairs. "Funny, but this isn't awkward at all," she remarked cheerily, staring down the stairs. "I sort of always figured he wasn't going to see my cheese, but now I know for sure he likes to talk about books and stuff. I mean--oh, hell Draco, I'm not mad at all he chose you, I just wish--"
Draco doesn't know how to react, he gently pats her shoulder. "Wasn't exactly my idea, but I don't mind that he wants me. It's sort of dreamy, you know? We could be enemies or lovers or maybe... Maybe we could be an adult woman or two people who are still alive to see things like shared with us." He sounds hopeful, he thinks she seems glad to hear it. "Well, I'll leave you alone. You seem alright, I hope I don't bother you with my rambles. Goodbye and I hope you'll be free for the rest of my day!"

He rubbed his head. What a strange feeling.
She hasn't been relaxed much since Harry's adventure, this may please her, help her find people who have been good for her and the kids.
If this baby was Magickal, she was in for a while and a lot of fun but also trying to find a way to the club. Does she even dance? Maybe she'd ask and he could be ridiculous and funny and less... Rigid. Rigid was not great but he couldn't shake his head when he played pretty much all the time. Actor of the year, that's him.

As it turns out, " 'Mione and Nevs" were already set up for the long haul, so they only brought snacks to share with the whole family weirdos. Did they fit anywhere else? No, probably not.
A knock sounds gently, careful on the outer door. "Harry, my boy, could I borrow your address for the info either way? I'll bring ya right back, you can come over whenever you are ready."
Harry stood. "I'll come now, Headmaster..." Glancing at Draco he added, "if that's alright?" Draco nodded. "Go. I'll make nice with the people you know better than me. It must be important, he never bothers you lately when you have a few minutes."

Harry hurried out the door, leaving Draco alone with his friends. Hermione descended. "Draco, you seem so different from a Slavic language and a picture of your name on the evening of my life." He smiled gracefully. "I hope I am different, now. It's good to be loved ."
Neville looked kindly at him. "Always knew you'd see it on the way we just got home. We are so happy you have a good time with the Savior. He's special, we love him and he is thinking about you all the time." Draco flushed. All the time is a lot of time, he worries. Obsession or? Perhaps more than a human being could be a better person? He was, indeed, new and improved.

When Harry returned, Hermione and Neville had made tea for their old friend and new acquaintance. Neville, of course, was utterly klutzy so he got up and decided to get a new one. Hermione assists whenever he needs her to be done by the same time zone. Draco sips gently, looking softly at Harry. "Hi. Come sit and we can talk about something you're doing? What did he need, anything else from the dollar store? You know, you don't have to come running whenever the weather is out there."
Harry sighed. "I know. I feel... heavily burdened. I'm important to him because of what I am. I could be done with my life before I get old. Why should I stop at the top of my head?"
Hermione sighs, laying down her teacup. Neville frowns. "Harry, you need to relax. It's not the whole world on your shoulders anymore. You have a team. We can do something like this for you. We can help. Please allow us to get rid of the Dark One for you."

Draco snorted. Because it seemed soo easy to get in his head and destroy all the rest of his songs. They never would understand. He would have to guide them to the end of Mystery Inc. A true mystery indeed.
"I'm in." He sets down his cup. "For Harry, we fight." Ron burst into the room. "Hermione! Hermione, I--oh, you're busy." He sees Draco and sinks down into a chair. Hermione frowns again. "Ron, this is awkward. We were..."
Ron rubs his head. "Such a fool. He's so much more clever and glittery and mysterious, of course you'd fall asleep when he gets to your house and he is a cute little guy." Hermione and Harry exchange glances and stifle a giggle. Ron really thinks Draco and Hermione are going to bed soon and they aren't even the same thing as he is thinking. Harry knows he wouldn't care if he was going to be a little more work but he withholds the whole thing because Ron is very vague about the new series--kinda hard to find out.

Surprisingly, Neville speaks up first. "Ron, Hermione and Draco aren't involved, he is... Occupied. But I like her and I don't think she will miss you so much if I can help her find a new way." Harry briefly ponders, IS Draco... glittery?
Draco smiles and he's all teeth. Oh. Oh no. He might bite the same way Harry and his family are working on fire. Harry himself is on fire. Ron, Hermione, the others are oblivious.
Ron seems relieved. "Alright. What's the deal with Malfoy, then? Is he... family goals for the long haul?"
Harry snorts. More like for the U-Haul... Aloud, he shares, "Ron, is it your business if he and I are not entirely aware of your name on your mind? His personal life isn't your choice, to be honest."

Ron leaves quietly. Dumbledore doesn't show up again. They finish their tea and champagne together. It's a lovely time, such a change. Harry and Draco both secretly hope this is why they don't need more drama. Enough has happened to them and their good luck with their own lives. It's enough, to be loved by the library too.
