Ambrose is in class when he notices that nagging wrongness in his body. He had felt like shit when he woke up, but figured it was from pushing himself too hard or stress. He had ignored it and gotten ready for class. He originally wasn’t gonna wear his letterman jacket but something felt off today. Now he knows why. He nearly groans when he checks his phone and sees he’s got an hour before class ends.
Vincent woke up with acute awareness of his body. He noticed Quincy was already awake smiling at him.
“Hello love, how are you this morning?” Quincy asks.
Vincent replies “not great it’s gonna be a bad dysphoria day darling.”
Quincy frowns and says “I’ll make French toast for breakfast then.”
Vincent thanks them and heads to the bathroom to start his morning routine. He turns on the nightlight they use on bad days and leaves the lights off as he showers, brushes his teeth, and makes himself presentable. They wander into the kitchen where French toast awaits. Breakfast is a quiet affair before they head off to class.
Around noon the group chat labeled Ardess university tea spillers pings with Ambrose complaining about dysphoria Vincent commiserates.
Quicy gets an idea and asks everyone if they want to come over for a movie night. Once he gets affirmatives from everyone he heads toward the store since he only had a nine am class today. He grabs lemon drops for Vincent, Skittles for Ambrose, chocolate for Portia and Beatrix, and Smarties for himself. He gets the required popcorn and heads home to set up the living room. He grabs a bunch of blankets and pillows and turns the lights down so it will be cozy when everyone arrives. They lay out all the snacks and cut up some fruit for a healthier option.
Once everyone files in, they start the popcorn while the others bicker about what to watch. Eventually everyone agrees on Star Wars the original trilogy. As everyone settles in Quincy smiles as he notices Vincent is genuinely smiling.
Ambrose is relaxed and even took off his letterman jacket in favor of a blanket. Portia and Beatrix are cuddling on one end of the couch and Vincent is gripping Quincy’s free hand.
The peace is broken when Ambrose says
“Wow I’m really fifth wheeling aren’t I?”
Vincent shoots back
“Well if you would confess to Lucas you wouldn’t be fifth wheeling anymore.”
Beatrix adds “he’s got you there.”
