Scott was just going through a chest, when the click of a key turning in a lock, made its way into his ears.
The winged boy could feel his heart beating in his ears as he stared, in horror, at the door, not five feet away from him.
Just seconds before the handle turned, there was a hand slapped on his mouth as he was pulled into the closet.
He and Dex had set out to inspect the house of a weird wizard guy that seemingly had further information on interdimentional beings, like Tony, the goat.
Outside the house Clarissa and Preston had tried their very best (which was very good!) to make it increasingly hard for said wizard guy to get to his house. But seemingly not enough time had been able to be bought.
So now here Scott was; pressed into a tiny closet, together with Dex, his hand still clasping his mouth.
It was incredibly uncomfortable.
Dex and Scott were both tall and this closet was tiny. The blondes giant owl wings did not help with the spacing, either. It was actually so tight, that Scott could feel Dex‘s cat tail hitting his leg every two seconds.
After some rustling outside of the closet it got quiet once more. That is until the snoring started.
Dex breathed out a quiet sigh of relief and removed the hand from the others mouth, which Scott was very thankful for, considering he wasn’t sure Dex had washed his hands since the tavern they had woken up in that morning.
“Thank fuck…“
Now that they were temporarily, at least, out of danger Scott tried to shift so he could look out of the closet.
In a clumsy manner, he stepped around in the very limited space the two of them shared, which resulted in him stepping on Dex‘s tail.
“Mother of-!“,the dark haired boy let out a shriek as pain ripped through him.
Now it was Scott’s turn to frantically slap a hand over Dex’s mouth. He froze in his current position as they listened to the guy outside grunting and then seemingly standing up to look around.
Scott raised his eyes, from where they were resting on his hand, to look up at Dex’s eyes.
A mistake.
They had never been this close before.
His eyes were a warm brown color with specs of gold dancing in them, even in the dark of this closet and Scott’s breath hitched when he looked at them.
These eyes were the first thing to make Scott feel at home again after having being stuck in this weird ass fantasy world.
The overflow of emotions they made him feel where overwhelming.
Nothing else mattered when his blue eyes looked at the pair of brown ones and they looked back. His hand was shaking but he dropped it at his side anyway.
Now, suddenly, he was hyper aware of every little thing in this tiny closet.
His wings pressed against the sodden doors, the raggedy old coat hung next to them and touching his arm, Dex’s tail curling around his left leg, his hands on Dex’s chest fisting his hoodie, the feeling of their breaths mingling and most of all. Scott would never be able to forget the feeling of Dex’s beautiful brown eyes watching him and only him.
But then his eyes were no longer on Scott’s eyes. They flicked down to his lips and he could feel himself leaning in, his breathing getting quicker, his cheeks growing hotter-
The closet door flew open.
