If one walks by the owl house, they will hear the sounds of screaming or objects being thrown or destroyed which believe or not is normal. But not today as everyone but one where off on their own. Leaving the once emperor who somehow survived his encounter with the titan human form of Luz.
But there was a price, his mind.
Not to mention the array of scars that covered his body. Along with his scars there were horns that look to have stood pound now only one did the other broken. His arms and legs were covered in a dark green sludge that ends in razor like claws. Truly a sight to see.
But now, he's waking up from an afternoon nap, letting out a large yawn displaying a set of pointed fangs.
Awake he looks to spot one of his many packmates that would be around when he usually wakes up. But seeing no hide or hair of them he grows annoyed. Huffing thinking great now he has to go and hunt them down. Which is never hard as they are usually in their dens(rooms) or the underground(basement), but it was so time consuming.
Not wanting to waste anymore time, Belos closes eyes stretching out his senses, listening for the more unruly members of his pack. Since the loud one (Luz) was always the easiest to find. Along with food giver (Eda) and tiny prey (King), if he found one, he would find the rest.
But he couldn't hear anything not even a heartbeat, it put him on edge. It was strange his pack never leaves him alone, there was always one of them nearby. Did something happen?
Hoping it just some game they decided to play, he made his way thru the entire dwelling. Instead every room, hiding spot he could think of was empty.
With every empty spot Belos mind would conjurer up images of what could have happened to them, none of them good. Then something occurred to him, did they get hunted down by those that use to hunt him from before (demon hunters). Then another idea enters his mind that made a small whimper slip from his throat.
Did...did they leave him behind? Shaking his head to get rid of those thought. No, don't, stupid they would never do that.
Trying to think where else to look a dark voice whisper 'well why would they keep you around, with all the trouble you cause.' Growling he snaps 'not true, he... he.' The voice is smug when it retunes ' admit it there gone, and your all alone again just like before.'
Not wanting to hear anymore or even think about it lets out an ear-piercing howl, trying to drown out the voice. To shut it up, to make it go away. Screaming in his mind 'shut up they wouldn't do that.' Desperate he thinks 'the-they must have been attacked and taken.'
Not giving the voice a chance to respond Belos races to find his pack at any cost.
His eyes burn from how bright it was outside, but he didn't care he was on a mission. Lifting his nose into the air hoping he could catch a hint of their scent. Lucky for him the winds pickup sending a scent he knew all too well but there was also another's he didn't.
Thinking this was the one responsible for everything lets out a low growl and leaps into the brush.
With how fast he was going it only takes a few minutes. What Belos sees is pup (Hunter) speaking with the other he smelled before. Not understanding why pup wasn't attacking the other instead of talking. Was pup pretending to be the like the other if so, pup didn't look very happy with the other from what Belos could tell. Seeing how pups force's a smile or the way the grip tightens on the tasty smelling wood.
Realizing he lost focused Belos forced his attention back to pup and not whatever pup was holding. When he does, he sees the other pulling back to strike pup. Not going to let that happen Belos launch's forward catching and slamming the other into a nearby tree.
And to make sure the other doesn't bother him or his pack. Incases their body in rotten green goo, cutting off their sight, hearing, and breath. But before he could completely end the threat, pup rushes him. Making that strange noise the others of his pack make that he can barely understand.
Tilting his head to the side showing his confusion to pup. It was good that pup was quick to understand making a motion with his hands. Understanding what his pup wanted Belos let's out a soft hiss ito show his displeasure at the thought of leaving a threat alive.
Like always pup didn't backs down. Letting out a huff, Belos did as he was told but not completely. Only leaving the others ability to breath.
With that done he turns towards pup to make sure he wasn't hurt. What he got was a head pat along with more of those strange sounds, he was tempted to lean in and enjoy for moment of not being alone. Then the sounds of others coming this way ruined it all.
Not taking the chance. he pulls away from pup and grips the back of his scruff (shirt collar) much like a mother cat with her kitten. But pup was very unhappy with this showing his dislike by making noise and fighting to get down. Belos was having none of it, growling before making his way back.
The journey takes bit longer than it did before, but they eventually did make it, also pup had fallen asleep. Being carefully not to wake pup, he made sure to gently lay pup in a spot that wasn't cove in shattered glass with broken bits of furniture.
Making sure that pup was sound asleep Belos patrols their dwells. With no one in sight he come back and curls around pup making sure if anyone trying anything. He could go in for the kill before anything could stop him. But those thought slowing faded into the back of his mind as his eyes grew heavy and the next thing Belos knew he was asleep.
But his nap didn't last long. Hearing the voice of his second favorite pack member musike (Raine) and their life mate food giver. Musike was always fun to pounce and bite but, right now he wasn't much in the mood to play fight.
Feeling a little petty he moves to hide in shadow of the door and just to show just how foul of a mood he was in. He was going teach them a lesson they would never forget.
In his eagerness he had almost jumped food giver by mistake. Holding himself back he waited. And he didn't half to wait long for musike and that's when he made his move.
Landing on the center of musike back he bites down hard go so far to hit the bone. Musike started yelling and cursing left and right, feeling satisfied he was about to let go. When he hears pup yelling at him, then food giver shows with her spray bottle that hates.
Not bother by the two. He walks off, hoping they learned their lesson.
A few hours later Belos was awaken by several members of his pack, baring looks of guilt. Not caring for this Belos turned his head away showing them that he had still not forgiven them. But to his surprise his favorite food and glowing liquid was placed in front of him. The food giver made those sound again, but he could made something out "sorry, try harder, eat up."
Looking to the food then to them several times wondering was their way of saying sorry? If so, should he forgive them. Afterall he was still mad, but he was hungry. Too tired to think about it anymore Belos digs into the meal, showing that all was forgiven for now.

Waking up was never Hunters favorite part of his routine but knowing this place. If someone doesn't get up fast enough, doesn't matter if someone well rested or not. Means one of two things, the first someone was going to barge into your room jumping on their bed till they get up. If that doesn't happen someone would sneak into the room to draw on your face, which he didn't want at all.
Getting up and dress, he headed downstairs passing the sleeping form of his uncle. It was kind of weird to see his uncle asleep, especially with all the chaos going on in the background.
Speaking of said chaos he had to bob, duck, and wave just to make to the table. Seeing the amount of really shouldn't surprise anymore, but it always throws for a loop. Especially how much goes to waste. Just thinking about gave him headache, really back in the emperor's coven you'd be consider luck to get extra reactions.
Everything was forgotten when Eda spoke up "alright kids, me and rainstorm have date night so..." she draws out that last part to make sure she got everyone's attention. "Which means one of you needs to stay here and watch ole horn head got it."
Luz was quick with "sorry Eda I would stay but me and Amitiy was going check some stuff." Hearing this King yells "NOOOO... I DON'T WHAT TO!" Turning to Eda babbling about not wanting to be eaten again but he could catch was King asking why Hunter couldn't do it. He chimed in "sorry King, but Dell said he needed help with replanting."
That didn't seem to satisfy the tiny terror who asked "then we can leave him alone for today. All he ever does is sleep so why not?" Eda rubbed her head like this wasn't the first time she'd been asked this, mostly likely won't be the last. "Look King, I get it, but we are talking about a half feral nut here."
All she got was a pout which didn't look to bother her too much.
So, with everything sorted Hunter finishes his meal and makes his way to work. On his way he remembers how this whole thing got started with Luz investigate some rumors about a large amount of beast and demon hunters going missing. He was with everyone that day when Luz out of nowhere, blazes thru ranting and raving about Belos somehow surviving.
Eda and Raine were skeptical about it, thinking Luz might have seen something else. But made several plans just in case. Low and behold Luz had been right. But what they dragged in wasn't the emperor everyone remembers but some deranged animal.
From the way his uncles acted hissing and growling at anyone that came near him, to the way he walked on all fours. It was like looking at one of those fun house mirrors he'd seen, wrapped and twisted.
Consumed with his thoughts Hunter almost crashed into Dell, realizing what had happened. Shoves everything into the back of his mind and apologies. While asking where he should start with replanting. Turns out it wasn't much since some former plant coven witches came by earlier to help.
Dissipated he sits down on nearby stump to gets some carving done, hoping to detract himself. Before his blade could even touch the wood, a smug voice rings out "well well well if it isn't the golden traitor."
Great it's one of those idiots. Sadly, when the emperor was "killed" there were some that didn't take that to well. Claiming that Eda was the one who ruined everything with her wild magic. Luz had tried her hardest to explain what was going on but it they made excuses for everything.
Eda's curse corrupted the day of unity. If memories can be changed, how do they know they were the ones telling the truth. His favorite was they were the ones who release the collector so why should they trust anything they say. It was pointless in the end, but there was some that loves to come by and bother him.
And this was one of them. Ignoring them was always hard saying things that he, himself thinks from time to time. But now was not the time for a pity party, plus the best way to deal with them was simple. Pretend they don't exist.
Like everything in his life, it was easier said than done. With the idiot behind him wouldn't shut up. Saying how he didn't love anyone. How if someone new came around they wonder how fast Hunter would abandon everyone he supposably loved. Afterall if he was able to drop the only person who cared for magicless witch, then he had to be the most selfish being in the world.
Gritting his teeth, Hunter had to tell himself it's not worth it. Closing his eyes to breath, missing the arm fly past him. Not missing the same voice scream.
Has Hunter snap to attention holding his carving knife like weapon, looking around to see if there was anyone around. Only to relax when he finds a long pillar of green and brown slime that belongs to his uncle, encasing the idiot to a tree. Seeing the slime start to cover the morons head, didn't bother him too much.
What was the problem was it didn't stop there; it nearly covers their mouth. His uncle was going to kill the moron.
Following the arm to a bush with glowing blues eyes, yelling for him to stop. Forgetting for a second his uncle couldn't understand him, but he was always quick of his feet. Making several motions with his hands hoping it was simple enough for his uncle to understand.
Just in case, Hunter turns to face the idiot ready to save him, but he didn't have to do that. Hearing a growl, the sludge stops before it could suffocate them.
Letting out a sigh of relief. He turns to his uncle telling him good job instead he was lifted up into the air by the back of his shirt. Yelling for his uncle to let him go used up what little energy he had. Plus, the swaying back and forth didn't help. Combine that with little to no sleep, had him slowly fallen asleep.
A scream jolts him awake and what greet him. Is Belos chopping down Raines leg. Well that usually normal, what wasn't was the amount of blood. Launching forward to pull him off of Raine was almost imposable but thankfully he wasn't alone in his efforts.
With the help of Eda, he was able to get Belos off of Raine. Hunter thought it would've taken longer but thanks to Eda grabbing the spray bottle. They were able to get him off Raine rather quickly though by the looks of it, Raine won't be able to use that leg for bit, even with healing magic.
What was worst the house was in complete shambles, well more than usual. Eda had seen his face shrugged with a "your guess is as good as mine."
Rubbing the back of his head he asked, "then what do we do now?"
This got him raised eyebrow along with "well... all we can do is wait for the others."
With that Hunter got to work clearing while Eda tended to Raine.
While he is was busy cleaning Luz and Amitiy deciding to waltz thru the door. You could almost see the question mark about her head. Explaining what was going Luz made a question sound before commenting that it didn't make since. Not understanding he asked what she meant.
"Well, Belos must be really mad about something." Trying not to yell "WHAT! What does that mean?" It came out louder then he intended.
Luz tilts her head in thought and goes on "well he doesn't really bite Raine anymore." Seeing the disbelief on his face Luz hurried her explanation. "Oh, come on guys. Think about, he hasn't really bitten Raine hard effort to break skin in months."
Amitiy pipes up "yeah now that you mention it, he doesn't really try to eat king anymore." Then adds "also he lets the collector bread his hair without so much as a growl."
Huh. now that they mention it, it all started to make sense. Still the question remand what made Belos so angary that he nearly took Raines Leg off?
The answer would soon come in the form of one tiny titan, who didn't see the trouble he cause. No, he just jumps on to the table ask Eda who was cooking. "Hey, Eda, whatcha makin?" Eda briefly looks to King saying, "oh not much just something for fluff ball out there." But Eda didn't end it there "so what did you get up to today?"
"Oh, nothing much just watched Belos." Eda didn't buy it "oh really, then how come the house was destroyed." Not understanding what was going on King scratches his head in confusion "isn't it always like that."
Stopping what she was doing with a sigh, she moves to sit down beside King. Looking at him making sure that he could see her somewhat disappointed gaze. "Look King, I get it, but we really don't ask much from you."
Seeing where this going King tried to find some way out of it giving "no really I did, it's just......" Having nothing to say his looks down in guilt uttering "sorry."
Eda nods in understanding, before smiling adds "well now that's over with. How about we get what really happen."
King still feeling guilty looks to the side, before he told his side. "Well, I was watching him, like you told me to but, then he fell asleep, and the collector came wanting to show me something. So, I thought since he was sleeping maybe I could go."
Finish King turns to Eda waiting for her to say anything. She instead smirks saying, " uh huh well just don't do it again." Not wanting to being trouble anymore King frantically nods before running from the room.
Hunter just watches this all transpire eyeing Eda with suspicion "really? You're not do anything?" She snorts "who do you take me for?" Eyes soften " he feels bad right now, so I'll just come up with something later. Now how about you help me with this."
He swears that dealing with her was like trying to contain the entire boiling sea into a small bottle. In other words, dangerous and possibly stupid but sometimes it wasn't so bad.
Getting he walks to the counter to grabs his uncle's potion that he would help with, by bring the shaving from his work. It wasn't much but it calmed Belos down a lot, he doesn't know how but it helps.
Hunter and Eda made their way to the living room, hoping uncle would be wake. It just so happed that was the case when Belos wakes up staring at them. The look he shot them remined him of the times he would come back from a mission, his uncle would command him with a simple look.
But it didn't bother the owl lady who takes the potion from Hunter. Sitting both the food and drink in front of Belos, speaking in a gentle tone. Saying they were sorry for leaving him alone and they'll try not to do it again.
Belos accepted it their apology to his and everyone else surprise. But they were just happy with not dealing with a wet angry cat. Or that's what Miss. Noceda's likes to compare Belos to.
Crisis averted the rest of the night was spent watching something Luz called anime. It was good but confusing he'll never understand, how humans come up magic like that. It even had his uncle attention. Oh well as long as everyone was happy, he supposes it doesn't matter.
