Severus Snape had always been captivated by Lily Evans' gorgeous green eyes. They were the only thing that he loved about her. He had always despised James Potter, Lily's eventual husband, for stealing her away from him. And he hated even more that James' son, Harry, had inherited Lily's eyes.
Severus had always secretly been jealous of Harry for possessing those eyes that he loved so much. He couldn't stand the idea of them being used in conjunction with James Potter's face. So, when Harry came to Hogwarts, he couldn't resist the urge to do something about it.
Snape spent months working on a potion that would change Harry's eye color. He put in countless hours, and finally, he had concocted the perfect mixture. All he had to do now was figure out how to make Harry take it.
Weeks later, Snape saw his chance. Harry had been sent to detention, and Snape had decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to administer his potion. He made an excuse to leave the room, then slipped a drop of the potion into Harry's drink. When he returned, Harry drank it, completely unaware of what had just happened.
The next day, Harry woke up to find that his eyes were no longer the same shade of green. They were now a deep shade of brown. Harry was completely bewildered. He had no idea what had happened to him. The color change was permanent, and nobody but Severus Snape knew who was to blame.
Harry was furious when he found out what had happened. He knew that Snape had done it on purpose, and he felt violated that someone would alter his body without his permission. But Harry knew that he couldn't do anything about it. Snape had always been allowed to bully students at Hogwarts, and nobody had ever stopped him before.
Harry knew that he couldn't count on anyone to help him regain what had been taken from him. He had no choice but to accept the color change and move on with his life. In the end, it didn't matter what color his eyes were - he knew that his mother had loved him no matter what.
