Work Text:

“Are you streaming today?”

Shouto’s already by the door when he calls out for him. The half and half bastard has been pestering Katsuki non-stop to go with him to that cat café which recently opened two streets away from their apartment, and now that he finally managed to convince Momo and Kyoka to go with him, he suddenly needs Katsuki to be there too.

“Yeah, why? I thought you were going with ponytail and her girlfriend to pet ‘cute fur balls’ and drown yourself in diabetes inducing drinks. What, they bailed on you?”

Katsuki asks back from where he’s tinkering around with his set-up, getting everything ready for his stream.

“No, I just thought you might want to come with us.”

He goes out into the entryway and gives Shouto a look which he hopes screams ‘not gonna happen’ when Shouto sees him. Naturally, the idiot doesn’t catch on.

“Maybe next time.” Shouto says with a small smile as his keys jingle in the door.

“Spare me.”

Shouto huffs out a laugh through his nose. He always does that when Bakugou refuses to have it his way, and halfie thinks he’ll manage to convince Katsuki one way or the other. Pretty boy thinks this time is just the same.

“I’ll see you later. Bye, Katsuki!”

He follows Shouto out the door and yells at him in the apartment building staircase, one hand holding onto their front door.

“Yeah yeah, don’t eat the shitty food there, I’m making dinner!”

With the apartment now effectively barren of one of its occupants, Katsuki pads his way to his room to start his stream. There’s days where his and Shouto’s work hours overlap, even though they’re the ones who make their own schedules.

Playing games on livestream wasn’t Bakugou’s first ‘job’ that he had in mind when he graduated university, but after breaking his leg in an accident, staying at home doing nothing turned out to be unbearable. So, after sending his busted motorcycle to the workshop, he picked up streaming.

As much as he likes to deny it, Kirishima and Kaminari were the two goons who egged him on to start live streaming himself while playing, tacking on the praise and compliments regarding his ‘skills’ in first person shooter games. Katsuki thinks they just found a new way to cope with losing to him for so many rounds in a row.

“You know, Kacchan, there’s a lotta streamers who yell and punch their computer, I think you’d fit right in!”

Was what Kaminari voiced during one of their calls while Bakugou was beating his team’s ass in a game.

“Oh shut up, you damn spark plug! Unless you wanna roleplay as my keyboard, you’d better shut your trap and do your job. S’too easy to defeat you.”

“No, seriously, bro! Kami’s right, you’re really good at a lot of games, and you understand the mechanics and strategies more than we do.” Kirishima adds, sounds of rustling in the background from him moving around on his chair.

“I’d watch your streams, I think it would be cool. And it’ll take up some of your free time, cause y’know, you got a broken leg.”

“Thanks for reminding me, I could have totally missed the cast that’s around my foot.”

Kirishima laughs a little too loud in his headphones, though he already resented to having his hearing permanently damaged due to the idiot brigade.

It didn’t take long for him to grow curious about it, look up a few tutorials on how to set up a stream, since he already had most of the necessary equipment. And now, a few months later, he’s juggling his main job and streaming for fun – which steadily turned into his second source of income.

Now back to his idiot half and half roommate. He’s known the pretty bastard since high school and, after graduating and getting into the same college, the decision to move in together was more than convenient. He’s quiet and tidy, does his chores and doesn’t pester Katsuki at every hour of the day – and night – with useless crap.

Besides the fact that he’s not as handy in the kitchen as he is with other things, he’s been teaching Shouto how to cook for himself on the days he doesn’t get home in time to make something for them to eat and just, as a general survival skill. Idiot didn’t know how to properly fry and egg when they first moved in together.

What’s a little more peculiar – not in the weird way, just in the Katsuki hasn’t met someone with his job before – is his job as a voice actor. Along with this, Shouto has his own YouTube channel where he posts short ASMR videos, which Bakugou found to be a little embarrassing in the beginning, but most of them consist of encouraging and comforting letter-type of recordings. The ones where Shouto pretends to be the listener’s friend and talk to them about his day or try to provide some sort of comfort to them.

Katsuki’s first thought about it was ‘who the hell would listen to that shit?’ and he almost said it out loud, only to be reminded of Shouto’s own sheltered and lonely childhood, so he thought better of it. Everyone’s got their own thing, and most parents are so fucked up in the head that they won’t care if they neglect their kids. At least Shouto is providing a space for those people, and not only them, but whoever finds the sound of his deep and soothing voice calming and nice to listen to.

Yeah, he’s listened to a handful of his recordings, it would have been weird not to. Since they’re somewhat friends – they are, Katsuki’s just a prick – and live together. And Shouto’s good at what he does, course he is. He has experience from his career in voice acting, so it would only make sense for him to be good at talking into a mic and making whoever’s listening to him get tingles all over their bodies.

Or maybe that’s just Katsuki, since he has an insanely gay crush on Shouto.

But that’s beside the point.

As soon as he starts the stream, his chat is flooded with greeting and emotes. In the beginning it had been difficult to keep up with the influx of people and hold back from cursing out everyone who left a stupid message. It got better, after Katsuki resigned with himself that there’s always going to be stupid people and getting a few chat moderators to get rid of the pests.

“You idiots are as chatty as ever!”

He drawls with a put on sneer, but his gaze flicks from his main screen to his chat so he can reply to people as the messages come in.

@Treeline879: AAAA another Dynamight stream, I’m so excited!

@l_tumann: Dynamight looks so hot today, just like every other day

@witchling48: How’s it going? Finally managed to catch your stream

@dynawife: Dynamight pls marry me!

@Quiet_Maria: What game are you playing today? your last stream was so much fun

The personality he puts on for his streams is usually how he acts in public, since the people who decided to subscribe to him don’t mind how much he curses or yells, although he tries to keep it down with the screaming since their neighbors love to complain.

What he found to be a pleasant surprise was the amount of people who genuinely enjoyed watching him play games and tuned in to add to his commentaries, and weren’t just a bunch of easily impressed kids who destroy their brains watching games all day.

“I’m good. Had a bowl of miso with grilled fish this morning, my idiot roommate hassled me to make him a traditional breakfast.”

He rolls his eyes at that, but a fond grin tugs at the corner of his mouth. It’s always good to share a meal with Shouto, no matter how many times he has to listen to his roommate’s ludicrous theories about his work colleagues and watch endless cat videos. Shouto’s endearing, in his own unique way, and Katsuki can’t help himself when they’re together.

Indulging into Shouto’s cravings turned into Bakugou’s most dreaded (read, favorite) past time. It only takes a unintentional bating of mismatched eyelashes and that cute tilt of his head that makes long tresses fall into his eyes and Katsuki’s hooked.

Good thing Shouto’s dense enough to not catch onto it.

@cell_uru: the roommate is back! I missed him

@TheBoudicca: that sounds delicious, will you share your recipe?

@DamDawson09: yeah, when are you going to bring Shouto on stream, Dynamight?

@idiotzdream2: is your roommate handsome? can we see him?

@Sanchez20Anyeli: everyone please respect his privacy!

“No fucking way am I getting Shouto back here! You’re just gonna flock over him like vultures, like you did with Red Riot.”

Katsuki quips as he recalls the last time he had Kirishima on the stream and everyone started flooding the chat with messages ‘simping’ for him. He doesn’t bring his friends on stream so his fans can eye-fuck them, no way is he bringing Shouto’s stupid pretty face on camera again for these extras.

So what if he’s a little possessive over his roommate slash not-so-secret-crush since even Kaminari and Sero figured out how he feels about Shouto, he has the right to it.

“Besides, I thought you came here for me?”

Personally, Bakugou’s not used to openly flirting with someone, let alone with the people behind his screen who tuned in to watch him obliterate extras in shooting games, but it works each time. All he has to do is raise his hands until they rest on his desk, showing off the muscles on his arms he worked his ass off for at the gym, get a little closer to the camera and allow his eyes to fall halfway-shut.

He knows he’s hot, and he’s gonna use it to his advantage, even if that means having people tag him in clipped videos of him titled ‘flirty Dynamight caught on stream’ and other weird shit.

@sasuke_inurarea: omg dynamight is flirting with me idk how to react!!!

@_snowfallsin: is Dynamight getting jealous? I didn’t peg you for that type haha

@kurosakigrimmj1: don’t worry, we enjoy watching your handsome face, too!

“You guys are a bunch of sappy idiots, damn.”

No matter how many times people in the chat compliment, flirt or downright attempt to sext him, Katsuki isn’t fazed. Not when he has Shouto, the oblivious bastard, tucking his legs in his lap and falling asleep on his shoulder after a long day of work, only to wake up and apologize to Katsuki for missing the movie they were supposed to watch together.

He sets on loading up the game he played on his last stream, when one of his monthly subscribers sends in a link in the chat.

@tdrkbkgo: have you checked out this game?

@tdrkbkgo: Shouto voices one of the characters

@tdrkbkgo: *link*

Shouto didn’t tell him he was voicing in a game. Most of his gigs include side characters in anime series or manhwa to movie adaptation ones. It’s what suits his voice the most, so when Katsuki learns that Shouto took up a character in a game, he’s immediately intrigued. Though, he tries to not look the part.

“What the hell is this?”

Red eyes squint at the screen title “Triad – The Love Story of Three Kingdoms”. What makes his face twist even more is the cover image right under, which depicts the three main love interests, Katsuki assumes, with the map of the kingdoms at the back. He immediately skips the two generic looking ones and his gaze falls onto the character on the right, who looks strikingly similar to Shouto.

The character is wearing a royal blue vest with a white button up shirt with ruffles at the sleeves, gold embellishments around the waist and seams. A high collar hides the line of his jaw and the neutral purse of his lips, reaching the ends of his white hair. Fully white hair. A long patch of fringe falls over his left eye, leaving only one grey eye visible.

He’s ridiculously alluring, in the way all animated male love interests are made, in the pretty boy kind of way. The character isn’t an exact carbon copy of Shouto, but with how much Katsuki studied his face when the other wasn’t looking, the creators did a pretty good job at matching Shouto’s looks to the prince on the screen.

At the bottom of the character silhouette, a name box says “Shou”, as if his face wasn’t enough, they went ahead and named him after Shouto.

“This game looks like shit. You guys know I hate these dialogue-heavy ones.”

He’s done mystery-murder type games before, and the horror ones, but he tries to stay away from these RPG ones since a lot of them focus more on the story than the battles themselves. And Katsuki came here for the action, not for the talking, otherwise he would have got on stream with a book and started reading out loud to his viewers.

@tdrkbkgo: it’s really good, trust me! I played through all the routes and it has plenty of action.

@tdrkbkgo: you can duel other characters in battle

@_snowfallsin: ooo that sounds like a good time! I might play it myself

@TheBoudicca: the artwork is amazing, Shouto’s character looks beautiful!

@highlands2716: I played it too, it’s a lot of fun. C’mon Dynamight, you can choose to be a Barbarian King and fight Prince Shouto in tournament!

The mention of fighting and challenging characters piques back his interest, making him debate giving this game a chance. He’s already installing the game and interacting with chat when he notices a chain of texts from Shouto. Quickly checking them and deeming their nature not urgent – it’s a bunch of cat photos from the cat café, halfie can survive a few more minutes without his reply – Katsuki looks back to his screen.

Would it be weird for him to play a game his roommate voices in? It wouldn’t be, if the game weren’t essentially a dating sim.

It’s fine, Katsuki tells himself. He’ll check out the game, play for a little while until he gets to the combat part, and then quietly move onto a different one.

It’s a dating sim, how good can it be?

______________

Later that day, after he played the game and ignored the better part of the teasing messages in his chat, he asked Shouto if he knew the developers designed his character to look so much like him.

“Ah, yes, they asked me if I wanted to work on making my own character since my popularity increased. I didn’t have ideas for a new character, so I based him off me for the most part. Does it look bad? They told me they’ll polish it a little bit before they release the game.”

Does it look bad? He fucking asks, as if Katsuki wasn’t having his second gay awakening looking at Prince Shou and listening to Shouto voice out the flirtatious lines.

“Nah, just curious about it. Thought those idiots did it without your knowledge, you know how some people can be.”

Is what Katsuki muttered under his breath, trying to hide how much the game got to him.

“I’m happy you’re concerned about me, Katsuki.”

“I’m not fucking concerned, check your brain, idiot.”

They ate dinner in comfortable silence after that, but still, Katsuki could not get Shouto’s voice out of his head.

______________

Insanely good, that’s how a dating sim can be, if you ask Bakugou.

It’s been a couple of days since his last stream and all he’s been thinking about has been Shouto’s stupid character. It wasn’t enough that Shouto’s voice alone, the standard deep one, is enough to get Katsuki’s knees weak. But the added charm of the character’s voice lines was the nail in the coffin for him.

He’s spread out in his bed, heels of his palms digging into his eyes to try and physically get rid of the ridiculous drawing – drawing, it’s a drawing, Katsuki, that’s not real Shouto! – of prince Shou bathing in the river from one of his heart events.

The game started out pretty normal; you choose which class you want to belong to and a few traits for your own character and then pick one of the kingdoms to start your journey in. Just as his chatters claimed, there was an option to be a member of the Barbarian Royalty, which has been at war with the kingdom Prince Shou lives in and is soon-to-be-heir to the throne of. Thinking the opposite classes would clash and make good for duel fuel, Katsuki picked to be the Barbarian King.

Only for his wishes at a bloody carnage to be swiped away when his character met Prince Shou.

They dueled in the tournament, and Katsuki has to give it to the production studio, they did really good at making the gaming mechanics and the fighting animations for a game that was first and foremost targeted as a dating simulator and a fantasy adventure RPG.

And then Prince Shou to defeat him in battle. Ivory hair flowed besides the sharpness of his face, revealing a glowing blue eye. With the tip of his sword digging into Bakugou’s character neck, he thought this was it. Only for the prince to retract his blade and extend a hand towards him.

“You fought well, warrior. I’m impressed.”

Of course, Katsuki should have expected the lack of blood and murder in a dating sim. After the tournament ended, Prince Shou approached him again, sword sheathed and a relaxed look on his face.

“You don’t look like someone who gives up easily. I can duel you again, if you wish to take revenge.”

Katsuki immediately took him up on the offer, picking the appropriate dialogue option for a second battle, but the prince informed him that they would have to take that somewhere else, as his royal duties were waiting for him.

Until he had to meet with the prince, Katsuki blacked out the side quests he had to do around the kingdom town and soon after the set time came and he went to the meeting spot they agreed upon.

Instead of a proper training ground, Bakugou found himself crossing a small forest until he was met with the crystal like sight of a waterfall. Prince Shou was seated on the grass, sword set aside as the man was overlooking the pour of sparkling water.

“Oh, you’re here. I have been waiting for you.”

Katsuki thinks that he could take only the visual of the character who looks eerily similar to Shouto, but the addition of his voice makes it all the more difficult to keep his composure and not imagine that he’s actually taking to the real Shouto.

“Let’s get this over with. I only came here to get my revenge.” Was the least sappy dialogue option, so that’s what Katsuki chose.

What he quickly came to learn was the game’s ability to twist even the snarky comments around, and spit them in the player’s face like the nasty kiss of a rival turned lover.

“Is that all? Are you sure you weren’t looking forward to see me?”

Prince Shou then walks closer to him, sword in one hand, moving his hand closer to the screen in a motion made to look like he was stroking the player’s face.

“Because I did. I wanted to see you again, my King.”

It’s hard to imagine Shouto being this smooth in real life, because Katsuki knows for a fact if someone ever did this to Shouto, he either wouldn’t have caught onto the flirty undertones of it or would call them out for not knowing what ‘personal space’ means.

But the character’s design and Shouto’s voice do a good job at solidifying the image of courteous and lovesick prince, who seeks for a lover to break him free from the chains of his royal duties.

And duel they did, only for Katsuki’s character to end up pinning Prince Shou to the ground, his button up shirt falling open. The developers must have done that shit on purpose, introduce the fact that the player ‘grazed Prince Shou’s shirt’ so they could show some skin so early on.

What he can’t get the fuck out of his head is the image of the prince with rosey cheeks, blown out surprised eyes and white hair framing his face like a halo, with his back on the grass as Katsuki’s character was holding him down. His shirt had fallen open to reveal pale and unblemished skin, with the faintest hint of red freckles on his chest.

And that’s what drives him insane, how crazily accurate Prince Shou is to the real Shouto. At least, visual-wise. How fucking delicious Prince Shou looked after the Barbarian King tossed him to the ground and climbed on top of him, pinned him down with his thighs and directed the blade of his great sword to his neck.

“Looks like I’m the winner this time, your highness.”

“It seems so, indeed.”

Prince Shou shakes the hair out of his face, and spots of dirt peek out from when they brawled earlier.

“I don’t have a prize to give you right now, but maybe I’ll have something for you on our next meeting.”

The prince pushes him off and starts combing fingers through his tangled hair. There’s grass stains and dirt clinging to his clothes, and when Prince Shou reached to unbutton his vest, Katsuki panicked. No fucking way is he seeing the prince’s naked ass this early.

Not that he wants to, he’s been thinking about getting Shouto naked with him in bed for years, this seems like the knock-off version of what he could have if he would just ‘man up and confess’, as Kirishima loves to tell him.

Fortunately, the screen cuts to Prince Shou halfway submerged in the river water, body visible from the waist up. Wet hair falls over his shoulders, skin glowing under the sunlight. And was it necessary for them to make Shouto record himself half-heartedly moaning along with sounds of water splashing to mimic the prince bathing?

“The water feels good. Do you want to join me?”

Despite picking the choice of not joining the prince in the river, the game twists his answer once again and the Barbarian King ends up getting dragged by a naked prince into the water. The screen turns black as the sound of water can be heard in the background, along with the soft notes of medieval music the creators chose for the game, and then Bakugou’s character is back on the grass, fully dressed.

Prince Shou, much to Katsuki’s misery, is only halfway dressed, caught in the middle of buttoning up his shirt. It’s still ruined, so it hangs open despite the clasped buttons, but the prince only smiles at him after he checks the rip in the fabric.

“You’ll have to pay me back for this, my King.”

The single choice dialogue options drive Katsuki up the wall, as there’s no way to go but straight into the prince’s hands.

“I’d argue I did you a favor. You look better without it, anyway.”

Though, the embarrassed sprite of Prince Shou is terribly adorable, his character doing a poor job at hiding the blush on his face with his hair. And Katsuki knows for a fact he can get Shouto to react the exact same. Though, under different circumstances.

_____________

“I saw your stream.”

Shit, why does Katsuki feel like he got caught doing something he shouldn’t?

“You watch almost all of my streams. Tell me something I don’t know.”

Play it cool, he says to himself. It’s not weird, not weird at fucking all. He’s just playing a game in which Shouto voice one of the prettiest characters, and he’s that pretty because he’s a more princely and neutral image of Shouto himself.

“I’m happy you picked my character first. The recording sessions were quite entertaining.”

Quite entertaining his ass. Katsuki was on the verge of popping a boner on stream just because of Shouto’s stupid sultry voice-

“The idiots in chat insisted I play your route first. Don’t get a big head about it, halfie.”

“I think your head is bigger than mine, though. Your hair is poofier.” He sees Shouto gesture with his hands behind him, moving both palms around his hair in an encompassing manner.

“Oi, you makin’ fun of my hair, halfie?”

Lifting one leg, he reaches behind him to poke Shouto’s thigh with his foot in a weak attempt at kicking him. There’s a significant silence before Shouto speaks up again, and Katsuki can practically hear the smile in his voice.

“No need to when it looks like that.”

Bakugou’s mouth wobbles a little as he tries to keep his laughter in. It’s not often that he hears Shouto’s meaner commentaries, and for some reason none of their friends will believe him when the tells them how much of an asshole Shouto is.

“Fuck you, you look like a peppermint stick.”

Katsuki bites back, but he still reaches to the side and extend a spoonful of the broth he’s been stirring in for the past few minutes to Shouto, who’s hovering like an idiot behind him while he’s cooking for some reason.

“Careful, it’s hot.”

Shouto blows on the spoon before eating the broth and the small piece of chicken Katsuki scooped up specially for him. Shouto likes tasting everything, and if Bakugou offers him just broth, he’ll ask for a second spoon with either the meat or the vegetables in it, depending on what he’s cooking that day.

“Delicious. Like it always is.” Shouto turns to look at him. “Have I told you how much I admire your cooking skills?”

Katsuki snorts and hip checks Shouto, only for the half and half bastard to bounce back and bump into him.

“Only when you want me to make you cold soba from scratch.”

“Now that you mention it…”

“Don’t even think about it, Shouto.”

Shouto drapes himself over his back, putting as much weight into it as he can, loving to be a pestering brat to Katsuki.

“Oh, no insulting nickname this time. Are you growing soft on me, Katsuki?”

The bastard’s talking right in his ear, and the low baritone of his voice reminds Bakugou of his stupid prince character, the one he can’t fucking shake out of his brain. Just like he can’t shake Shouto out of his heart.

“I’m charitable like that, be damn grateful.”

Shouto allows his head to fall on Katsuki’s shoulder so he can peek down at the pot of soup. Shouto’s lips brush against the fabric stretched over his arm.

“Mm, I am.”

And this, this shit right here, is why Katsuki can’t get away no matter how much he runs. No matter how much he tries to get rid of these stupid feelings, ones he never chose to have, but chose to keep and tend to from time to time, but ones he can’t seem to make himself pursue.

Because as much confidence as he has in himself, Shouto’s too fucking good for him.

Stupid pretty boy and his pretty smile and his pretty eyes and-

Yeah, Katsuki is royally fucked.

_____________

Unfortunately for his sanity, Katsuki gets on stream and continues playing the damn game. It’s a very popular request, given his initial reaction to Shouto’s character and how much fun everyone in chat had watching him lose his shit on live.

@highlands2716: please please continue the game! I miss Prince Shou!

@icyhot_dynamy: do you guys remember how much Dynamight blushed on his last stream lmao

@ratatoeskr2: omg yess, somebody has a crush on Prince Shouuu

@EmiODelPaso: I agree, Dynamight HAS to finish the game

“Alright, alright. Fucking hell, you guys go crazy for this shit.”

Katsuki thanks all the gods he knows and doesn’t believe in that he only films himself from the sternum and above, and his chatters can’t see the way his leg bounces up and down under the desk. No matter how much he sneers and scowls at the loading screen, an attempt to glare at the ‘dreamy’ rendition of Prince Shou, Bakugou’s burning inside.

He still feels like he’s somehow hiding and doing something he shouldn’t, like that one time when he found his mother’s model catalogue with men modeling underwear and hid in the walk-in closet to flick through the pages. Just that now, he’s playing a dating simulator adventure game on live for the thousands of people watching.

The following scene after the sweet torture that was the river one looks simple enough in the beginning. Bakugou’s character walks into the local tavern while exploring the kingdom and it triggers one of Prince Shou’s heart events.

“Ah fuck, not again.”

He groans, and prays that he’ll keep it together when Shouto’s voice will inevitably come through his earphones, sounding all too sensual for a stupid game. Turned with his back to the door is a cloaked figure, silky navy fabric falling over the slope of his wide shoulders. Said figure turns around at the sound of the door opening and Prince Shou’s face is revealed along with curly snowy locks spilling from under the hood.

“My king, we meet again.”

Katsuki knows the characters calls him ‘my king’ because of the class he chose for his own character, but this is getting ridiculous. Who knew, that imagining yourself in a fantasy world and having your crush – more like the guy you’ve been in love with for years now – who’s also a prince, fawn all over you and call you ‘my king’. It’s overwhelming, to say the least, and not in the silly way one gets over their favorite character appearing on screen.

Oh no, this is much worse.

Because Katsuki lives with this man. Cooks for him. Carries him back to his bed because the idiot falls asleep in the weirdest places ever at any time.

And on the occasional lonely night, touches himself while watching the door, because their apartment walls are crazy thin and no matter how many of those foam noise canceling things he tapes to his walls, they don’t work.

Katsuki knows that for a fact, as he can sometimes hear Shouto recording videos for his ASMR channel. Can hear him whisper into his mic ‘I’m so proud of you’ ‘You’re doing such a good job’ ‘You make me so happy, baby’ ‘I’ll never leave you alone, you deserve the world’. And frankly, Katsuki’s had it up until his ears.

Despite that, he still chooses to sit on his ass and do nothing about it, like the idiot he is.

Once again, Bakugou choses the most neutral dialogue out of the presented options.

“I only came to get a drink.”

Prince Shou chuckles and hides the laugh behind his hand- what the fuck, Shouto does that too. Or used to, until Katsuki ripped his hand away and told Shouto that he doesn’t have to hide how he feels anymore, tacking on a grumbled ‘it gets on my nerves, so stop hiding your face’.

@shoutokats: don’t be so cold to him, Dynamight!

@sasuke_inurarea: prince Shou just wants to get to know you better, Dynamight ;)

“I’m playing the damn game and I’ll act however I want. They made these characters way too horny for no reason.”

It’s no doubt that this kind of content sells, the kind of game where all the pretty love interests fall to their knees for the player, but Bakugou’s always liked a little bit of challenge. That’s also why he grew to l(ove)ike Shouto so much. He’s brutally honest and wouldn’t entertain or try to please Katsuki just to avoid conflict. They butt heads and bicker most of the time, but that’s just how they work.

Talking to Shouto is like a breath of fresh fucking air compared to most people he interacts on a daily basis. Like that one glass of water you down in the middle of the night and it hits you right in the core.

Turning back to the game, the screen changes to a shot of Prince Shou leaning back on the bar island, the parting of his arms revealing the tight black dress pants and button up shirt he’s wearing. There’s a leather body harness secured to the collar of his shirt, coming down in two stripes to the sides of the prince’s torso, low to his waist. Double leather straps hug his waist, giving the illusion of an hourglass shaped waist, continuing down over his pants.

No fucking way those things wrap around his thighs.

They do, and the way they hug the thick muscle of his thighs should be illegal.

No fucking way Katsuki is thirsting over some pixels on his screen.

Naturally, his chat goes crazy.

@_snowfallsin: PRINCE SHOU LOOKS SO GOOD USDFNGW

@shoutokats: HE’S SO FINE OMG

@tdrkbkgo: told you guys this game is fun :)

@cell_uru: I want to do unholy things to this man

@naolettres: PRINCE SHOU, ONE CHANCE, PLS JUST ONE

Coming up with a snarky comment for this seems impossible, with the way Katsuki feels absolutely winded imagining how Shouto would look wearing that. Or just the harness and skipping the clothes- no, fuck no, he’s not doing this. He’s not getting hard during a stream.

“Calm down, you guys are like rabid dogs. No, don’t fucking start barking in the chat!”

The sight of his chat filled with barking and dog emotes does ease his situation a little bit, and he’s reminded why the presence of the idiots watching is actually not a terrible one.

“And here I was, under the impression that you missed me, my King.”

Katsuki scoffs out loud, a memory of Shouto saying something very similar to this coming to mind.

It was during the winter holidays when Shouto flew to visit his mom’s new house and Katsuki had to stay back at their apartment since the workload at his physical job increased and a little extra money on the side wasn’t unwelcomed.

When Shouto came back one week later he waited at the door with his arms outstretched.

“The fuck are you doing, halfie?”

“Waiting for my ‘welcome home’ hug. Isn’t that what you do with your friends after coming back from a holiday?”

Katsuki clicked his tongue in light annoyance, but still got up from their couch.

“You didn’t go on vacation, you went to visit your mom.”

“It doesn’t matter, you’re supposed to welcome me home with a hug.”

With a put on glare, Katsuki gathers Shouto in his arms, smelling the cold from outside clinging to his clothes and the hint of Shouto’s own cologne.

“I missed you, Katsuki.”

“Shut up, I told you to stop being so goddam sappy.”

“You’re supposed to tell me you missed me back.”

There’s an audible pout in Shouto’s voice.

“Not gonna happen, shortcake.”

“So stubborn,” He said, but he still nuzzled his cold nose into Katsuki’s warm neck and tightened his hold on him.

-

“You wish I missed you, princeling”

Prince Shou walks closer to his character and his eyes rake over the player’s body. Bakugou almost feels too exposed, looking at mismatched eyes that look so fucking close to Shouto’s actual eyes watching him so intensely.

“You’re right. I wish.”

Backing away, the prince orders two glasses of their finest wine, handing one to Katsuki’s character.

“Drink up, it’ll ease that attitude of yours.”

The cynical tone of Shouto’s voice sends shivers down his spine, skin almost growing goosebumps. Either his headset is that fucking good that he can practically hear Prince Shou’s voice in his skull, or it’s just Shouto’s otherworldly talent at getting Katsuki all hot and bothered with just his voice.

Skipping the dialogue options, Katsuki picks the option to drink the wine, asking for a second cup after.

A melodic tone spills in through his headset signaling the local band playing at the tavern. Bakugou gets an option box in the corner to ‘Leave Tavern’ ‘Stay and drink’ or ‘Ask someone to dance’. He remains seated at the bar, the navy cloak of Prince Shou coming into view as his character took the seat on his right.

After getting reprimanded by his chat for ignoring them, Katsuki tells them they can choose the next option, since he’s so ‘nice’ to them. And that’s how Bakugou ends up accepting a dance offer from one of the maidens in the tavern. The rhythm game matching the dance moves was a nice surprise after 15 minutes of dialogue.

Only for his dance to get interrupted by Prince Shou who apologizes to the woman and extends one hand in Katsuki’s character direction.

“May I have this dance, my King?”

“Fuck this half and half bastard…”

He grumbles under his breath, quiet enough so his mic won’t pick up his words. Katsuki is already hovering the cursor over the ‘Refuse dance offer’ option when his chat yells at him to accept it. Someone even donates money for him to dance with Prince Shou, and that seals it.

It’s not that he doesn’t want to properly play this game, the problem is that Bakugou is more affected than he should be, by a dumb 2D character who slightly looks like Shouto and actually sounds like him.

“You’re really good at this. I never took you for the graceful type.”

“What the hell, I’m not graceful!”

He gets pretty immersed into the game, talking smack back to Prince Shou and reprimanding his chatter for thirsting after the majority of the characters. It’s a great time, and Katsuki almost forgets about the rapid beating of his heart until Prince Shou tugs him out of the tavern for some ‘fresh air’ and they end up behind the building

The prince is leaning on the outside wall of the tavern, keeping one hand extended as if he was holding the player’s hand.

“You know, I wanted to get you alone all night.”

Shit- why does Shouto have to sound like that? Like he’s whispering honey and milk in Katsuki’s ear and pulling onto his heartstrings until they both end up knotted in the mess of love and feelings he’s been trying to untangle for years.

“You’re just so stubborn sometimes, though I can’t help but feel drawn to you.”

@iheartrosariaa: AAHHH Prince Shou is so dreamy!

@Todocokkie1: Dynamight if you don’t want him I’ll take Prince Shou!

@shoumelody: I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!

@dynawife: don’t fall for his tricks, I’ll take care of you Dynamight!!

“Do you feel it too?”

Prince Shou gets closer to the screen- or rather, Katsuki’s character gets closer to him.

@shoulvsbinnie_: oh my are we about TO KISS??

@oya1an: YES YES DYNAMIGHT KISS HIM KISS HIM!!!

@ZlonaAlbion: nooo Dynamight was supposed to kiss ME! get in line Shou!

@dku74: this game is so realistic, Shouto did a good job voice acting his character

@Quiet_Maria: ikr? Shouto was perfect for this role, and it looks like Dynamight is enjoying it too :)

“There’s no need to feel shy, my King.”

Bakugou doesn’t feel shy, but he does feel like his head is going to explode. Shouto’s deep voice roils thunderously in his chest and echoes in his ears, almost as if he’s speaking directly to Katsuki.

“I want this.”

Fuck, he’s gonna get a lot of shit for this. It’s almost like he can’t see the chat anymore, almost like he’s completely alone and all he can hear is Shouto’s dulcet voice, rich like dark chocolate dripping down rose petal lips-

“And I know you want me too.”

“Hey, I’m ordering food from that place you like, do you want the spicy noodles…sorry, are you streaming?”

Shouto’s voice comes over the sound of the game and light from their hallway spill into his room. Katsuki looks up immediately towards the door and sees his roommate there, phone in one hand, clad in what looks to be one of Bakugou’s old merch hoodies. It’s black with an embroidered explosion on the chest, with matching drawstrings.

“I can go if you’re busy-“

“Nah, come in, I was just playing.” Katsuki welcomes the distraction, nevertheless if it’s from his primary source of distress. He takes off his headset to hear Shouto better and not have to hear the chat ping every other second.

“You were quiet so I thought you might be doing something else. I didn’t want to interrupt you.”

Shit, was he really that fucking captivated by the game that he went quiet for that long? At least Shouto didn’t figure it out.

“Don’t sweat it, half and half.” Katsuki jerks his head in the direction of his phone. “Put in an order of spicy noodles for me. And those pork buns they have, get some of those too. With the sauce, you know which one.

Shouto hums as he puts in their order, a small smile growing on his lips. Katsuki can’t even lie when he says this is the Shouto he likes to see the most. This one, who has his hair in a half undone braid, wearing Bakugou’s old clothes and a pair of worn out shorts, content and relaxed in their home.

@HAow__: Dynamight is ignoring chat again!

@sasuke_inurarea: he’s been really captivated by the game in the last few minutes lmao

@highlands2716: he likes it, he just doesn’t want to admit it!

@TheBoudicca: guys he’s talking to Shouto!

@EmiODelPaso: the way he gives Shouto his undivided attention and abandoned us here

@shoulvsbinnie_: he took off his headphones to listen to Shouto awww

@RedRiot: he doesn’t even do that for us!

@Chargebolt: he always keeps his earplugs in when we try to talk to him and tunes out whatever we say :’(

@Chargebolt: this is favoritism *hmph*

@tdrkbkgo: he’s so whipped

@ZlonaAlbion: omg redriot and chargebolt?!?!

The chat moves along with Katsuki not paying any attention at all, eyes set on Shouto’s face.

“Do you want something to drink? My sister gave me a bottle of wine last time I visited her, we can open that and see if we like it.”

“Hell yea, we’ll grab those fancy ass glasses from my old hag.”

Getting whisked away by Shouto’s pretty boy charm is as easy as learning how to ride a bike. The moment you figure out how to do it without scraping your knees or falling head first to the ground, you can’t forget it. Just like Katsuki can’t forget how damn much he cares for his excuse of a candy cane.

@ratatoeskr2: look at the way Dynamight looks at Shouto

@icyhot_dynamy: someone’s in looove

@_snowfallsin: ahhh he’s so gone for Shouto

@pea_shake: you guys are delusional, Dynamight doesn’t f*ck with that shit

@class1akids: they’re so cute, look at how attentive Dynamight is to him

@dynawife: NOOO DYNAMIGHT IS MINE

@shoutokats: HIS PUPILS ARE DILATED OMFG ARE YOU GUYS SEEING THIS SHIT!!

@highlands2716: you’re so right, but also who wouldn’t fall for Shouto? Have you seen how pretty he is?!

@tdrkbkgo: Dynashou new ship name! Spread the word!

Shouto turns to look at his screen, taking Katsuki’s gaze with him.

“I think your chat is upset you’re ignoring them.” He chuckles as he reads over some of the messages, but then his eyes move to his other screen where he has the game opened up.

“Oh, I thought you didn’t like the game. What changed your mind?”

Your pretty boy voice, what the fuck else?!

But he doesn’t say that out loud, lest he makes a royal fool out of himself.

Argh fuck him, really. Shouto’s now looking almost taken aback at Katsuki’s screen where Prince Shou is staring right ahead through the screen at them, a lopsided smirk stretching the side of his mouth, creating the faintest dimple in his blush dusted cheek, alabaster hair falling into his face.

Red eyes flicker between Prince Shou’s smug expression and Shouto’s own curious face, and the parallel of the two makes his head dizzy. The thought of two Shouto’s causes his mouth to go dry – god what he’d do if he had two Shoutos – and his palms to sweat like crazy.

“The idiots in chat demanded me to finish the game. And your character is pretty popular, half and half. You don’t want the free advertisement from Dynamight?”

Quickly recovering himself, Katsuki almost falls on his side when he leans his elbow to prop it against his table and almost misses the edge of it, having miscalculated the distance between him and his desk. He tells himself it’s fine, Shouto’s seen him in more incriminating instances, like that time Shouto walked in on him jerking off-

“I would be honored to have my work judged by Dynamight himself.” The bastard fucking giggles behind his hand, thinking this is all a laughing matter.

It’s no laughing matter when Katsuki gets hard the second he hears Shouto’s raspy voice in his headphones while flirting up a storm with him. Who the hell knew the half and half bastard could be that seductive?

Deciding to placate the attention seekers in his chat, Katsuki turns back to his screen and puts on his headset, only over one ear, leaving the one facing Shouto uncovered. What he’s faced with almost causes his soul to leave his body.

@tdrkbkgo: get Shouto to join the stream!

@naolettres: YES DYNAMIGHT PLEASE GET SHOUTO TO PLAY WITH YOU

@highlands2716: Shouto looks so pretty with his hair in a braid!

@class1akids: Dynashou stans are thriving right now

@TheBoudicca: get Shouto on the stream, we want to see his reaction!

“I’m not getting Shouto here just so you idiot can harass him-“

“I don’t mind.” Shouto butts in, leaning forward to read chat, taking the mouse out of Katsuki’s hand to scroll further up.

“Hah?”

“I haven’t seen how the game ends. I did voice the dialogue lines, but I didn’t stay long enough to see the finished product.” Shouto turns to him “The developers wanted us to experience the game in our own time.”

“You don’t have to join just cause some extras are telling you to,”

“I want to. I enjoy watching your streams, and you’ve had me before. I’d want to join you and play the game. Or maybe you don’t want me to? That’s okay, I can just-“

Katsuki shakes his head and grabs his arm, even though Shouto didn’t make any move to leave.

“No, you can join. Just-“ He checks the time “maybe on my next stream, it’s getting late and food’s about to be here, right?”

Shouto nods before turning back to look at the chat.

“What’s Dynashou? It sounds good, oh, it’s our ship name.” He looks back at Katsuki. “You know, like a friendship joint name of our names.”

Friendship- Bakugou almost chokes. No fucking way-

@ratatoeskr2: FRIENDSHIP NAME DID YOU HEAR HIM

@shoumelody: DID SHOUTO JUST FRIENDZONE DYNAMIGHT??

@starfirekatsuki: nooo I’ve been shipping them since the first time Dynamight introduced Shouto to us

@dynawife: yes Dynamight will be all mine!

@Todocokkie1: no guys guys, Shouto’s just joking I think. Right? Right?!

Shouto laughs lightly as he reads chat, the ringing sound of it not giving Katsuki any sort of clue about how he feels about the knowledge that his chat ships them. They’ve made ship names for almost everyone Katsuki interacted with or talked about from his personal life. Although the favorite one has to be ‘Dynamight x roomate’, because some people just can’t mind their fucking business sometime.

And he doesn’t need more people to fuel his most likely unreciprocated romantic feelings towards Shouto, thank you very fucking much.

“I have to go now. Everyone, please be gentle with Dynamight on tonight’s stream. He’s been having trouble sleeping and he’s been tired lately, but he always does his best to entertain you on his streams. Thank you and have a good night!”

He waves at the chat, like the idiot he is and flashes his small tight lipped smile at the camera, before straightening his back and making his way to the door.

“I’ll call you when dinner is here.”

Bakugou watches him leave and nods, feeling his ears burn.

@aissasnapped_01: omg Dynamight’s ears are red!!

@PCrowx: He got shy from Shouto complimenting him <3

“Oi, I don’t get fucking shy- that’s it.” Katsuki looks at the time again, and while he could continue the stream for one more hour, the promise of a delicious dinner and good wine with Shouto gets him a little impatient, so he ends the stream. “Sorry or whatever for ending this early, but I’ll make up for it on the next stream. And yes, I’ll get Shouto on the stream, too.”

He shuts off his computer and leans back on his chair, the wheels swiveling around until the backrest bumps into the wall.

He’s not gonna live down the next stream, not when he’s going to be metaphorically – unfortunately – sandwiched between Shouto and his flirtier look-alike.

________________

“Before I start the stream, we’re gonna go over what I told you last time one more time.”

Shouto rolls his eyes, looking effectively done with Katsuki’s overly protective rules. It’s not like he has a choice, some people are absolute assholes, more than he is.

“Don’t interact with negative comments or trolls, a reaction from us is exactly what they’re looking for.”

“I know-“

“If anyone’s comment makes you uncomfortable, just jab me or something and I’ll take care of ‘em.”

“You don’t have to-“

“And do not indulge them, don’t let them coerce you into meowing or doing one of those cringey poses with your hands or some shit. Or at least ask them to pay up before, if it’s a harmless request.”

“Katsuki!”

He shuts up immediately, a little startled by how Shouto raises his voice.

“I appreciate you fretting over me, but I’m gonna be okay. I’ve been on stream before, and I post videos on the internet, remember? I know how to act, we don’t have to go over this again.”

Katsuki blows air through his nose and lets his shoulders slump.

“It’s not you who’s the problem, it’s them.” He juts out his thumb to point at his computer screen. “Well, not all of ‘em, but some are real creeps, or just bad fucking people.” Averting his eyes, he continues, although a lot quieter this time. “I don’t want you to feel fucking uncomfortable on my stream or some shit.”

Out of the corner of his eye he catches Shouto’s appreciative smile. A hand touches his.

“I always have fun when I’m with you, and this isn’t any different. And just like you said, if anyone makes me uncomfortable, you’ll take care of them for me, won’t you?”

Being humanly impossible to take his eyes off Shouto, Katsuki holds his gaze as he nods earnestly, grabbing halfie’s hand and squeezing it.

“Fuck yeah.”

“What would I do without my hero, Dynamight?” Shouto exclaims, albeit teasingly, and he scoots his chair closer to Katsuki to press a fleeting peck on his cheek.

“Are you starting the stream now?”

Katsuki almost can’t remember how to properly function after that.

“Yeah- just, gimme a minute.”

@moxnxyes: Shouto is here! hi Shouto!!

@aissasnapped_01: dynamight is such a cute mouse omg

@class1akids: YES WE WON DYNASHOU DYNASHOU

@tdrkbkgo: this is going to be so much fun

@grape_punch: ew gays? where’s the women?

@HAow__: you came to the wrong place, buddy

@RedRiot: someone take out the trash

@Chargebolt: omg buuurn

@dynawife: Dynamight pls marry me!

@shoumelody: Shouto and Dynamight look so good together

The stream starts off as any stream with Shouto did in the past – there weren’t a lot, for the exact same reason, the second people lay their eyes on his pretty boy face they’re mesmerized. And even if Shouto’s also a pretty popular online figure, here on his streams, Katsuki can choose to keep Shouto all to himself or share him with his audience. While he sometimes does have a lot more fun when he’s with someone else on stream, with Shouto even more so than anyone else really, there’s an innate possessiveness in him that won’t let Katsuki share him with others.

Even if the sharing in this case stops at others looking at Shouto and sending in messages talking about how ‘pretty’ and ‘handsome’ he looks.

They get through a couple of scenes in the game, focusing on exploring the map – Shouto insisted he wanted to see the surrounding areas and look for stray cats – and searching for possible duel targets – Katsuki’s idea since he’s been craving some damn action around here.

Getting sidetracked by minor quests and commissions lasted them only so long, due to the fact that Katsuki specifically chose Prince Shou’s route. He blames his chat for that, but let’s be real, if he played this game in his own time, he would have chosen Shouto’s character first either way.

“Oh, I remember this. I’ll try to refrain from spoiling the scene.”

Shouto speaks up in a hushed voice, adjusting to sit more comfortable in his seat, watching the screen with a way too pleased smile on his face.

“We’re gonna see what happens anyway, stop trying to be mysterious, shortcake.”

@tdrkbkgo: I know what scene comes up :)

@ratatoeskr2: grab the popcorn, I’m about to have the time of my life

@cel_urru: omg is this the you know what scene?!

@oya1an: yes, yes it is

Prince Shou’s next heart event is triggered when Bakugou’s character receives a letter telling him to come to the location specified in the letter for another duel. “Winner takes it all” Is read out in Shouto’s voice. Katsuki hopes Shouto can’t feel the way shivers racked through him.

The game doesn’t give him an option to refuse the invitation, and with Shouto next to him and his chat yelling at him because they can’t wait to see Prince Shou, not going is out of the question. Katsuki follows the directions in the letter and finds himself in the middle of a sunlit meadow, fenced by thick foliage and greenery.

On a patch of grass, sits Prince Shou. This time, his hood isn’t covering his head anymore, in change the prince let the cloak hang around his shoulders, opened enough for the player to see his clothes. He’s back to wearing his trademark dark pants and blue vest with white button up underneath, Katsuki doesn’t think he would have lived down to see the prince in a body harness again.

“I really like how much work they put into this scene, the rendering of the grass make it look almost real.”

Shouto’s been providing commentary regarding the animation and design of the game since the start of the stream. It’s always a pleasant experience to hear what Shouto’s opinion is, now that he’s more comfortable with sharing his thoughts with Katsuki, unlike how he used to be back when they started high school.

“It looks better than other games I’ve played, that’s for sure.”

“My King, you actually came.”

Prince Shou greets his character, getting up from the ground and bowing reverently before him.

What the hell is going on?

“I came to duel. Unsheathe your sword, princeling! I’ve got no time to waste.”

Prince Shou laughs almost condescendingly, such a stark difference from Shouto’s tiny giggles he lets out when he watches funny cat videos on his phone.

“Why the hurry? We’ve got plenty of time. Why don’t you join me on the grass?”

He pats the spot next to him and even goes as far as taking off his cloak and laying it on the ground, gesturing for Katsuki’s character to sit on it.

“I wouldn’t want you to get your clothes dirty, my King.”

Katsuki angles his head towards Shouto’s, but keeps his eyes on the screen and whispers “What the hell’s going on, halfie?”

Shouto laughs under his breath and clicks on the mouse before Katsuki can pick an option.

His character sits down next to the prince on his cloak.

“You’ll see.”

Prince Shou turns to look at him, knees digging into the ground and takes the hands of Bakugou’s character in his. A pair of scarred hands appear on the screen, cradled by Prince Shou’s pale ones.

“I admit, I deceived you into coming here. I lied about the duel. I wanted you to come here for my own selfish reasons.”

The prince looks to the side, jerking his head so white locks fall over his face in a poor attempt at hiding the dark red blush creeping up his face. Katsuki feels himself squeezing the plastic mouse in his hand a little too hard. He wiggles his fingers a little in fear of breaking it, and pretends he can’t feel the smug look on Shouto’s face.

“I’ve grown terribly fond of you, my King. No matter how much I try, thoughts of you invade my mind at night. I feel strongly for you, my King.”

Prince Shou looks up at him then, causing Katsuki’s breath to get stuck in his throat.

@moxnxyes: Prince Shou is the standard now! This man stole my heart and he’s not even real

@shoutokats: where can I get myself a Prince Shou? asking for a friend

@fuyumisglasses: look at Dynamight, he’s so gone for Prince Shou

@shoulvsbinnie_: get my boy a glass of water, Dynamight’s heating up over here

@icyhot_dynamy: Shouto’s enjoying the chaos

“I wish to call you mine, my King. Will you allow me the honor of courting you?”

He turns to Shouto, no doubt looking like he’s been standing around in the sun with the way his face starts to burn.

“Oi, you didn’t tell me this was a damn confession-“

Shouto pushes his head back, and shushes him.

“Pay attention to the game, my King.”

Fuck

Holy fuck

Did Shouto just-

Much to the chat’s delight and Shouto’s newly discovered masochistic tendencies, there’s only one option which Katsuki can choose.

“Say yes”

Katsuki picks that one and fights the urge to grimace and close his eyes, so his misery will end quicker. His pulse quickens when Prince Shou smiles at him, obviously pleased and starts rubbing circles into the backs of his hands. Oh yeah, they’re still supposedly holding hands.

“I suspected you felt the same, my King. I just didn’t dare jump to conclusions.”

Prince Shou lets go of one of his hands and shuffles even closer, this time angling his hand upwards- oh, he’s holding his face, well, the player’s face. Not like Katsuki could actually imagine how Shouto’s hand would feel on his face, not at fucking all.

“May I kiss you, my King? I’ve been craving the taste of your lips from our first meeting.”

And fuck if Katsuki isn’t going to melt on his seat right then and there. Hearing Shouto’s voice asking him for a kiss, asking Katsuki to allow him to kiss him- his free hand starts to clench and unclench impatiently.

How is it that all of the extras playing this game get to hear Shouto asking them for a kiss while Katsuki isn’t getting any? How is that fair?

There isn’t even an option for Katsuki to pick from, the scene continuing the moment he presses space, and the camera angle moves. This time, Katsuki’s character comes into the scene, and because he made his character actually look like him – just like most people would do let’s be fucking real, Katsuki can’t be blamed – it looks like he and Shouto are about to kiss. For real.

Prince Shou’s even angled so his right side is showing, the side where Shouto has only white hair.

@highlands2716: they’re about to kiss somebody hold my hand pls

@tdrkbkgo: I’ll hold it for you!

@_snowfallsin: this has got to be my fave heart event omg

With a bleeding and raw heart, Katsuki watches Prince Shou kiss his character, Barbarian King Katsuki, just like he named it, and craves the same for himself. He can’t believe this, he’s actually jealous of his stupid character in this stupid game-

Right before their lips touch, Prince Shou opens one eye and looks at the camera, before lifting the side of his cloak and hiding their faces and meeting Katsuki’s character into a kiss.

And Shouto’s sitting next to him, no doubt having the fucking time of his life- yeah, idiot’s smiling like a fool, the same way he does when he forces Katsuki into watching those idiotic romance shows that most of the time depict impossible relationships between mostly straight couples.

When he turns his gaze back to his chat, he immensely regrets not putting his foot down when people started shipping him with Shouto.

@tdrkbkgo: now you guys recreate the scene, pretty please

@sasuke_inurarea: omg that’s such a good idea yes!!

@TheBoudicca: I’d love to see this happening

@shoulvsbinnie_: YES RECREATE THE KISS PLS PLS PLS

@dynawife: the only person who Dynamight will kiss is me

@Todocokkie1: let’s get you to bed, buddy

“Oi, don’t get any ideas about this, we’re not some fucking performers over here-“

“I don’t mind.”

Shouto’s voice brings him to a halt. Did he hear that right?

“What the fuck?!”

“I mean, it would only be appropriate, don’t you think?

“How is that- what the hell are you talking about, you half and half bastard?”

Katsuki’s going to die of a goddam heart attack during his stream. Because as it seems, Shouto’s out for his heart. He watches the two toned idiot take off the spare headset Bakugou lent him earlier and lean forward.

“It’s okay, it’s just a kiss. Or are you afraid, Dynamight?”

How dare Shouto insult him like that- the smile on halfie’s face is enough for Katsuki to realize the trap he just fell into willingly. Alright, if pretty boy wants to play like that, Katsuki’ll meet him right in the middle.

“I’ll show you, you pretty boy bastard-“

With a strong grip on the back of Shouto’s seat, Katsuki pulls him in and leans close until their foreheads touch.

“Tell me if you want to back out now, it’s no problem, Shouto-“

“Just kiss me already, Katsuki.”

Eyes flickering to his screen, to the ongoing stream, Katsuki thinks of a better way to go about this. So he quickly unzips his hoodie and lifts the side of it to cover their faces before he kisses Shouto. Although, he purposefully misses his mouth, planting a kiss on the corner of his mouth.

Shouto looks at him confused, rightfully so, but Katsuki ignores him for now.

“You stalkers got what you wanted. Keep in mind I won’t be as generous as I was tonight on my next stream.”

And with that, he ends the stream with his face on fire.

“What was that about?”

Shouto asks and touches the corner of his mouth with his hand, as if checking to see if what Katsuki did earlier really did happen. Bakugou slumps back on his chair and wheels himself closer to Shouto once more, bringing both hands to cup Shouto’s pretty face.

“Didn’t want our kiss to be on a fucking live stream.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah, oh. Now c’mere so I can kiss you, Shouto.”

He leans in before Shouto can comply, and Katsuki parts his lips to trap his bottom one in between his, lightly sucking on it. Tilting his head, Bakugou deepens their kiss and the resulting sound of Shouto’s keen spurs him on to kiss the pretty boy in his arms until his lips turn cherry red.

Katsuki almost can’t believe that this damn game earned him a kiss from Shouto- hold the phone-

“Did you fucking plan this?” He pulls back, with an aching heart at the way Shouto follows him for another kiss.

“Huh? Oh, no. I didn’t know how much of the game you’ve completed, but when I saw what scene was about to play…you could say I took advantage of it.”

Shouto pecks him on the lips, short and sweet, and Katsuki’s already craving for more.

“So, did you like the game?

Katsuki scoffs and gathers Shouto into his arms, effortlessly lifting him and plopping the pretty boy into his lap.

“Do you even need to ask? My boyfriend’s voicing my favorite character. Course I fucking like it.”

“Your boyfriend- oh, I like that.” Shouto confesses, mouth curling up into a shy smile, cheeks blossoming like pink roses.

“Yeah? Then you’re not getting rid of me, pretty boy.”

“Why would I want to get rid of my boyfriend?”

Shouto leans in and kisses him again, and this time it tastes like fucking victory. After this, Katsuki might actually start enjoying those stupid dating sims.

Notes:

I'm here to apologize for all the terms that I might have gotten wrong, or the lack of terms actually, because I don't often watch streams, and the only games I play now are Genshin, Stardew Valley and the Sims 4.

Also, fun fact, the game that I made up for this fic is actually a very old fantasy au fic of mine that I never got to writing, so I thought of using some of the plot elements for this.

I know that Prince Shou fell in love with the player a little too fast but I wasn't gonna take us through the whole process of them getting to know each other and all that, and yeah an actual dating simulator would have negative dialogue options but I took them away for this fic to make it more fun.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read! Sending lots of love to everyone!🧡💙
