Luna had a bad day today, the only thing that could cheer her up was skating in the Jam & Roller. The only bad thing about skating on the rink was that she was going to see Matteo.
They have been on the outs for a while. Whenever they see each other and whenever they talk, they end up fighting. They just couldn't agree on anything, the last time they had a real conversation, she said she needed some distance. That's when they stopped talking.
It all started when he said that he wanted to go and train with another team. He said that they promised him to get further in his professional career in skating, Luna wasn't happy about it. She thought that he should stick with his usual team because they need him, he's one of the best on the rink. After that, they constantly started fighting.
When Luna entered the rink, she immediately spotted Matteo. She tries to stay away from him as much as possible. Matteo keeps looking at her whenever he thinks she's not looking but she notices him every time.
They both skate until the Jam & Roller closes. Luna was too focused on not noticing Matteo to realize it. While Matteo couldn't keeps his eyes off her. They were too wrapped up in one another to remember their surroundings.
It's not until Matteo looked away from her that he suspects something. He frowned his eyebrows in confusion. He skated to the locker room and put his skates back in his locker.
Just now, Luna noticed no one else is on the rink. She decided to go to the locker room to put her skates away. As soon as she noticed Matteo was there as well, she quickened her pace and tried to leave the room as soon as possible.
She didn't realize Matteo was following her until she reached the bar area. When she did, she only quickened her footsteps more.
When she tried to open the door to go outside, she couldn't open it. She pulled again and again, the door didn't budge at all.
"If you are going to pull harder, you're going to break that door," Matteo said teasingly, he was suddenly standing behind her. She jumped by the unexpected noise.
"Not funny, chico fresa." Luna said annoyed.
Matteo looked at his phone and said: "Oh."
Luna turned around and asked curiously: "What's wrong ?"
"It's past closing time of the Jam & Roller," he said casually.
"What ? How is that possible ?" She asked worried.
"I guess you were way too lost into skating just like me," he said with his typical chico fresa smile.
"I was lost in something alright," she muttered too quietly from him to hear.
After a moment of silence, she said: "This is not funny, Matteo. What are we going to do now ?"
"Well, we are locked up in here and Jam & Roller will be closed for the rest of the weekend since it's a holiday. So no one will be here until Monday."
"We have to call someone," Luna said as she looked through her pockets to get her phone out, "Oh no."
"What is it?" he asked, concerned as he saw her scared face.
"I forgot my phone at home," Luna said wide eyed.
"Relax, I have mine right here," he reassured her, "Oh no."
"What? What's going on?" she asked worriedly.
"My battery just died," he sighed, disappointed he forgot his charger at home.
"This is a disaster. What are we going to do all weekend ?" Luna looked down at the ground with her hands in her hair.
Matteo thought about it for a moment and then said: "Maybe we can take this opportunity to have a serious talk. It's long overdue anyway."
"I don't know, this is the last thing I expected to happen today," Luna said as she went back to the bar area to sit down on one of the couches.
Matteo followed her and sat down on a chair in front of her.
"I think it's time. We have nothing better to do anyway," he tried again.
"I guess you're right," she sighed.
"I'm sorry for wanting to leave the team, Luna. I really am. I know it hurt and I never meant for that to happen. I thought it was better for me, for my future."
"Do you still think that?" she asked carefully. For the first time in a long time, Luna looked into his eyes. He saw a spark of hope in her eyes.
"Going to that team would help me greatly in the professional world but my place is in this team. I don't care what it will bring to my future. Here are my friends and here are you. I know I can't just leave you. I love you, Luna. More than you could ever imagine. I want to be with you. I hate fighting with you like this, I missed you so much."
"I missed you too. Are you sure about this decision?" Luna asked, she couldn't keep her voice from trembling. She didn't want him to regret anything.
"Yes, I am. Being here with you is more important to me," Matteo took her hand and intertwined their fingers.
Luna couldn't stop herself from smiling and said: "I love you too, Matteo."
Matteo was also smiling now as he walked over towards her and hugged her tightly. He really missed being close to her.
"I missed you so much, chica delivery," he said as he hugged her tightly and gave her a kiss on the crown of her head.
"Me too, chico fresa. I don't ever want to fight again. I know I overreacted and I'm sorry too," she admitted.
"That's okay, we're okay now," Matteo smiled and she smiled back brightly.
That was an invitation for Matteo to kiss Luna.
