For All Time Fixits

Summary:

A fix-it or missing scene from S2 E6 of Loki (TV) where Loki makes a jump back in time before his sacrifice to pass along an extra bit of information to Mobius.

(Possible spoilers for the last Ep of Loki S2,, you might want to wait to read this until after you've seen it...)

Notes:

This is only my second time writing a fanfic, and it probably shows, but apparently I can't plan/stage/outline anything and instead have to just mentally vomit my word salad out onto my PC at 3am instead of sleeping (even though I have to work tomorrow.). LOL

This is also my first time writing smut (gasp) so, um, yeah...

So I apologize that this isn't better written, and is also probably similar to a bunch of other works out here (I haven't read any S2 content yet),, but I just finished Loki S2 tonight and had to get this out into the world so I could sleep peacefully. My brain just Would. Not. Stop. ;)

Please don't repost without permission.

Thanks for all the love and understanding,

Tabby

Work Text:

Mobius didn’t know what to think. He had just suggested getting pie, while his co-workers geeked out together. Someone had to get the tech working, and it’s not like he would’ve been much help. But he’d just gotten a lecture. Sylvie had shouted at him, saying he didn’t care. How dare she? He’d devoted his entire life to the TVA, to helping others – how could she say that he was okay with people dying, that it made no difference to him? Didn’t she understand the sacrifices he’d made? That they’d all made? And then Loki had run after her. Leaving him behind. Not that he didn’t get it. After all, he’d never been Loki’s priority, and that was fine with him. Really. Okay, so not really, but he’d put up a good front so far. Anyway, it didn’t really matter what he thought about Loki, because Loki was... Suddenly right in the corridor in front of him.

“Wait a minute, didn’t you just run after Sylvie? What’s going on?”
“Mobius, listen – we don’t have a lot of time here, and there’s something I really want to talk to you about, before, well...”

“Well, what? Before what? Is there something wrong with the plan? Do you know something we don’t?“ Loki looked stricken, he looked so serious, he looked older all of a sudden. This couldn’t be good. “Listen I...” Loki stopped and looked at the clock on the wall. “Not enough time, just not enough. I must talk to you about -” Just then, Bea came around the corner looking for them. But before she could get closer, Loki pointed at her and she just – stopped. Literally stopped, as if frozen. Mobius turned to Loki, “Wait – did you just do what I - ” Loki quickly grabbed his arm and dragged him into an empty corridor. “Listen, Mobius” Loki interrupted, “I know things look bad right now, but I don’t have time to explain it all, and – it’s just that... I’ve got a plan to fix everything – well – sort of. More like, I’m about to try something. Something to save the TVA, all the timelines, and I don’t know if it will work, or if I'll be turned into spaghetti; and, and even if it does work, I might never get to see you again, so Bea will have to wait, because I’ve got to say this first, and I’ve got to say it now.”

Mobius took a second, to look at him again, but Loki still looked so serious, his eyes were burning with intent. “Well then, go ahead, say it.” Loki steadied himself, took a breath.

“Mobius, I care about you…” Wait, that was it? “I care about you too, Loki – we’re friends, aren’t we? So why don’t you slow down and tell all me about this, this dangerous plan that you’ve got cooked up, now that you can apparently freeze frame everything. Which, by the way – I’ve watched your whole life and never knew you could do that – so stop, take a breath and let’s put our heads together, let’s talk about it.”

“Wait, what? You just gloss over my being able stop time, but you want to go over war strategy? Mobius, that part isn’t important – what is important is that we talk –and” here he stopped again, lowering his voice, “that you know how I feel for you.”

“Well, I feel for you too, big guy, and hey – you’re smart – I’ve always known you can do amazing things, but I feel what we really need to talk about is your plan.” Wasn’t Loki getting how serious he was? Why was he rolling his eyes?

“Mobius, the plan is not what’s important right now”

“It is - if it’s going to get you hurt.” Mobius was really trying to get his point across here, but Loki just waved his hand dismissively. “That’s not what matters here - ” “No, see, I know that even though you like to think you’re this great strategist, you tend to be just a little too self-sacrificing when it comes down to it and I’m not going to let you put yourself in danger – even if it is to save the universe.” At this, Loki just stopped – staring at him. Mobius couldn’t decide if he looked surprised or exasperated, and decided it was probably a bit of both.

“Mobius, you’re not listening!” Uuugh, how could Loki be so smart, yet so frustrating? “Yes, I am. It’s just that” he replied, before Loki interrupted him again frantically “Listen, please, I’m trying to tell you that I love you!” There should have been a moment of silence, a mic drop of epic proportions, a stunned gasp felt the world over; but without waiting, without even thinking, the agent yelled back “I love you too, you idiot, that's why I’m telling you that you have to stay safe!!”

Suddenly Mobius found himself pushed up against the wall, Loki’s lips, soft, yet firm on his, kissing him over and over, entreating, begging for entrance. He opened his mouth and couldn’t help let out a small whine, letting him in. This is what he had secretly always wanted, what he’d dreamed of. Even before he met L1130 he’d had more than a passing interest in Lokis, but this Loki, his Loki,, he was always so full of emotions. Bursting to the seams with brilliance and energy and life – that oh so precious spark of mischief and heart that Mobius wanted to embrace, to pull into himself. The more they had worked together, the more he’d fallen, even though he knew Loki would never feel that way. Would never love him back, especially after Sylvie – wait... He pulled back “Wait - what about Sylvie?”

Loki looked at him strangely, “What about her?” “Well,,” Mobius could feel himself blushing, he couldn’t believe he was asking this now of all times, but he had to know. “I thought you two,, I mean, well, you ran after her at the Roxxcart, and then there was the nexus event, and you – you said she kissed you and...” Loki actually raised his eyebrow at that. “Mobius, you do know that we’re the same person, right?” “Well, yes, technically, but I thought...” “Really, I do care about Sylvie. She’s important to me, but we’re not like... I mean, I also care about my brother, but I’m not in love with him. I don’t love Sylvie like that.” At this, a slight smirk appeared on Loki’s face. Mobius knew it was a terrible thought, but it was the most attractive he’d seen the trickster yet. “It’s you, Mobius, it’s always been you. You’re the only one who has seen me – really seen me – for everything I am, and yet you still cared. You still believed in me. You had faith in me when I didn’t even have faith in myself. How could I not fall in love with you?” At this Loki leaned in again and kissed him again – gently this time. “I love you, Mobius... I love you.”

He kissed him over and over - on his eyelids, his cheeks, down his neck. “I just couldn’t bear not telling you, just in case. I needed you to know this now – know this forever.” He began kissing him with more urgency now. Mobius’ knees felt weak – the only thing holding him up was the weight of Loki pressed against him, warm and hard, the hallway walls cool on his back. “Loki, I...” He had to say this before he lost all coherent thought, “I really think we should talk about this plan you have” he tried to say more, but Loki used the opportunity to bite down on his collarbone – laving it with his tongue afterwards. “Not now, Mobius. This – right here” he kissed him on the mouth again, full and deep. “This is what’s important right now. You, you are what’s important.” Loki slotted his leg between Mobius’ pressing in even closer than before, loosening his tie and unbuttoning the top few buttons on his shirt so that he could taste the flesh there, kissing and licking and, god help him, moaning at the taste. Mobius couldn’t find it in him to reply. Everything was Loki, the way he smelled, the soft pants and moans he was making, the way his body was rocking against his. It was beautiful, it was glorious. “Loki, Loki, please” he panted out – although he didn’t even really know what he was asking for, except for more. More of this pleasure, this burning within. He didn’t know if this kind of ecstasy was normal or not – the TVA were against relationships between agents. Not that they were allowed outside relationships either. In general, they were kept to a routine, all work and little play. But now he knew that he had been missing this – for hundreds of years he had been missing this, he had been missing Loki.

He suddenly couldn’t stay upright anymore, but Loki followed him down to the cold marble floor, protecting his head from the fall with a large hand cupping it, caressing his hair with his fingertips. Loki ran his nose up his ear, huskily whispering in it, “What a sight you are Mobius, so wonderful.” And Mobius couldn’t help but think that it was so much the reverse that was true – he didn’t know how he looked there on the floor, but he could see Loki hovering above him. Those high cheekbones, flushed now, and those green, so green eyes were almost black, filled with intent, with longing. His lips were full from the kisses and his dark hair flowed like a curtain around his face. Mobius thought he might burst, his heart was beating so fast and his blood was rushing so quickly inside his body that he was dizzy. “My God,,” he breathed out. Loki chuckled slightly, “Yes, Mobius?” and a mischievous twinkle appeared in those eyes. He moved his hand down to cup Mobius’ length, and asked in a deep but oh so polite voice, “May I?” “Uuugh, please.” Mobius was able to gasp out. He’d never felt like this before, he was so hard it hurt, and the way Loki looked at him, stroked him through his slacks… He’d seen all of Loki’s life (many different ones, in fact) so he’d seen him nude before. Had seen him with various partners in different situations (and hadn’t that made for some fun dreams at night, when the TVA wasn’t watching.) But now he felt like he’d not learned enough, not had enough study – for now he had to know, really know what Loki tasted like, everywhere. He had to know what he felt like. How it would feel to have the trickster’s skin gliding against his own. How rough or soft were his fingertips, how silken were those curls? What would it feel like to have Loki deep inside him? He started to grab at the god’s tie, trying to pull at the knot, but he was struggling to coordinate his movements while Loki was so expertly sticking his pointed tongue in his ear; cradling his head with one hand and massaging his cock with the other. “Off, Loki, off, please. Have to feel you. N-now”. Was talking always this hard to manage? He was desperate at this point, but fortunately, Loki took pity on him. “Shhh, Mobius, I’ve got you” he murmured while waving his hand. Suddenly they were both bare, still in the hallway, but a green blanket had materialized underneath them.

The shock from the cold air was striking, but where their bodies touched was burning hot. So much so that Mobius couldn’t get enough of it, of the heat – running his hands over Loki’s back, down his sides, feeling him everywhere as he kissed him again, fiercely, trying to convey his need without words, and when that failed crying out to the god... “Loki, I need you inside of me, please, now!” He’d never been this wanton, tears running down his face. It would be embarrassing, mortifying, if he could only bring himself to care, but he couldn’t think of anything except getting closer, of becoming one with the man above him. “Mobi, we need to prepare you first, are you sure this is what you want?” “Yes, yes” it was all that he wanted. He was overloaded with the sensations, the air around them charged, Loki’s body lined up with his, still rocking, still teasing him, but not enough – not nearly enough. More tears fell, hot, rolling down the side of his face, past his ears and the trickster started chasing them with his mouth and tongue; his hands now busy lifting Mobius’ legs up around his sides as he knelt before him. “I’m going to use some magic now, love, don’t be afraid – it will just help to make things easier for you” he said before waving his hand. Suddenly, the agent felt a wetness at his entrance; and although it was strange, his muscles were relaxed - his body ready and tingling as if even his nerves knew that pleasure was coming. He felt Loki guiding himself in, also slick with some magic substance (although, to be honest, he didn’t really know how lube felt, so he really couldn’t say if it was magic...) “Mobius, focus, up here please, look at me, love. Are you ready?” He brought his eyes up from where they’d been on Loki’s hand (and in it the quite frankly, huge cock that was disappearing into him.) And any nervousness he had felt was immediately lost when he looked into those eyes again – those dark pools slightly watery, the way the green around the edges was almost glowing. The amount of desire, of passion and love in them – he hadn’t known it was possible for Loki to look at anyone the way he looked now. It made the agent inhale sharply, before nodding his consent.

Loki slowly pressed himself in, distracting him with one of those hungry kisses, nipping on his bottom lip so hard he thought it might bleed (and that actually sounded perfect.) Then the god began to move, slowly at first, carefully watching Mobius for any signs of pain, gradually building to a pace when he could hold back no more. He had grabbed Loki by the ass and was greedily massaging those perfect cheeks, trying to pull him in closer with every thrust. Together they moved faster still, the sounds now of the slapping of skin on skin and panting into each other’s mouths filled the empty hallway as if proclaiming their desire to the TVA – no, to the universe, that they had found each other despite it.

“Mobius, I love you, I love you, I love you so much” the god started chanting, as if his orgasm was dependent on the words, on the receiving of them. As if they could be branded into the very heart of the silver haired angel beneath him. And Mobius couldn’t help replying back with his own mantra – “I love you too, Loki. I’ll always love you; I’ve always loved you, Loki, Loki, Loki” Until that moment of bliss, of completeness, with Loki throwing his head back as he arched into him one last time. Mobius’ come shooting out so long and hard he thought he might black out from the sensation.

They laid there afterwards, both catching their breath, sticky and sweaty, but unable to stop clinging to each other. Loki had not pulled out, nor had he moved away, and Mobius was not going to let him anyway, it seemed. Now that the euphoria was passing, fear had started to creep in. Fear over what he had been told earlier, of the horrifying possibility of Loki leaving him, of dying, of doing something stupid and dangerous and oh so heroic that they’d never hold each other again and he couldn’t stand it. Couldn’t bear it. He shook with the fear, gripping tightly. It was just so unfair. He wanted not just passion with Loki, but life - the ability to care for Loki, to make sure he ate right and slept enough. He wanted to work with him, listen to him talk, watch him as he carved out this new path that had been refused to him. He wanted laugh with him and to dry his tears. He wanted to be with him. For all time, always. Funny how that saying never meant as much as it did right now.

He cleared his throat, somehow managing to find his voice, sitting up and replacing his tight grip with instead a warm embrace. His hands gently stroking Loki’s hair like he’d always secretly desired. “Loki, please. Please tell me what you have planned. Let me help you. Please, don’t leave me behind. Not after this, not after we’ve found each other, not after you know how much I love you. Let’s save the universe together – you and me. We’ve come this far together, haven’t we?” Loki didn’t move, but he thought he heard a sniffle before he spoke, his voice muffled against his shoulder. “What I have I mind… You can’t come, Mobius. You can’t. You wouldn’t even survive the journey, and there’s no way I’d ever endanger you trying. Besides, I’m not even sure what’s going to happen. I just know that only I can do this and that I swear I will do everything in my power to keep you and the TVA safe. I will make sure you survive, Mobius. You – you will be able to have a life. Whether it’s with the TVA or back on Earth, you will have a choice, you will have a chance. You deserve that chance.”

Mobius could feel his own tears starting now too – both of them crying, both so desperate. “And what kind of a life will that be without you, huh? You think I’ll just be able to forget you? To ever stop loving you? Nuh uh, ain’t gonna’ happen, Loki. You’ve got a responsibility now – you changed my life, hell, you’ve changed the entire universe – you can’t just walk away. I need you. I love you.” Loki straightened up, moved away and with a wave of his hand clothed them both. He then knelt before the agent, taking his hand. “I must do this Mobius; it is literally the only way. And you may find this hard to believe, but I’ve time jumped back and forth trying to find another answer, searching for another way, but there isn’t one. Not if we don’t want to be ruled by ‘He Who Remains’ and not if we don’t want to just end all existence. I’m so sorry I put this burden on you, it was unfair of me, I know.” “No, Loki, don’t – I’m glad you told me – I’m so grateful for it.” Loki held his hand in both of his now, pulling it towards his heart. “I will promise you this. I, Loki Laufesyon of Asgard, swear by the Norns that I will always love you.” He couldn’t help himself – this was too much “Loki, don’t – don’t swear that”, but he continued regardless. “And if I don’t die, if I do find a way to keep the TVA safe and the timelines protected, I also swear that I will come back to you. I will find you and I will come back to you. I swear it on my life, Mobius. I love you and I will be with you again one day. I’m sorry I can’t promise you more, but you can be sure that -” “Shut up and kiss me, Loki” Mobius couldn’t help grabbing him and kissing him deeply once more. It wasn’t the happy ending he wanted, it wasn’t the way that he felt things should go, but a sworn promise from a god? His god? That was mind blowing, it was unheard of, and it was more than enough to keep him going. Loki could do this; he had faith in him. Loki would fix it all. He could do anything he set his mind to. And if Loki said they’d be together again? Then he’d wait for him, and believe in him, however long it took. He’d love him and keep his own promise to him until they were together again. For all time, always.
