Heroes Are Remembered, But Legends Never Die

Summary:

With Yokohama having cut themselves off from the world of quirks and Heroes for so long, the Tripartite System thought it would be best to open up to the outside. And what better way than to garner alliances than to go to the place where future heroes are being trained. So, they decide to send the best of the best to forge this relationship… Soukoku.
With the task of teaching the famous class 1-A, the duo really has their work cut out for them with testing their view of the Hero's society.
Or
Married Soukoku traumatizes hero children.

(Previously titled 'Heroes Live Forever, But Legends Never Die' and was changed because that doesn't make sense as a sentence lol)

Chapter Text

Nedzu sipped his tea as he looked over the reports and emails of a potential alliance, if not, then a chance for understanding one of the most mysterious cities in the world.

Yokohama, the Quirkless City, the city that has no Heroes and strange morals.

And Nedzu had the opportunity to host two of its inhabitants. One Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya, more commonly known as Soukoku. Even outside of Yokohama’s protective border, word had spread about the twos’ destruction.

The mammal set his teacup down onto its saucer before smiling and sending a message.

This was going to be fun. And he always loved to test society's morals.

There was a knock on his door a few minutes later, just as he finished pouring a second cup of tea.

“Come in, Aizawa-kun!” He chirped.

The insomniac hero entered, sighing when he saw the manic grin on the principal's face.

“What is it now?”

“You will be getting two new assistant teachers for your Heroics class!”

“Wonderful.” Aizawa deadpanned. “Who?”

“Ah, you will see, Aizawa-kun! I think it’s best to leave it as a surprise!” Nedzu smiled and sipped his tea. “Though, I will tell you that they are from Yokohama and are members of the Tripartite System.”

Aizawa sighed and could already predict the chaos that Nedzu wished to cause.

“Do you have anything stronger than tea?”

“Nope!”

Another sigh could be heard.

“Chuuya, darling! Oh, how wonderful it is to see you, chibi!” Dazai opened his arms and ran towards his partner and was immediately put into a chokehold. “Your arms always… feel nice around… my neck.”

“Shut it, bastard.” The red-head muttered as he loosened the chokehold, spun Dazai around and pulled him into a kiss. Around them, the mafia members and government agents that were meant to escort them looked awkward, some confused. “We have work to do.”

With their arms still wrapped around each other, they bickered as they walked to the car, mafia grunts picking up their luggage.

The driver sighed as the two got into the back of the vehicle. Those two will make a three hour drive feel like a hundred hour one.

He just had to hope that Dazai would not try to jump out of the car.

They arrived with little to no issue, there only one being a murder attempt by Chuuya after Dazai would not stop opening and closing the window. A very uneventful car ride for Soukoku.

The car pulled up in front of UA, the driver showing a special pass that let them in. The gate rose, revealing the hero school in its full glory. Glass gleamed and students wandered around the grounds. Dazai and Chuuya watched with uninterested looks.

“I really don’t get why we have to babysit some hero brats.” Chuuya grumbled.

Dazai sighed and agreed. “But the Tripartite wants to slowly include Yokohama in the international world. And UA was the best bet at garnering good relations. Plus, the principal offered.”

“I hate heroes.”

“So does all of Yokohama.” Dazai turned from the window to look at his partner. “The hero worship will be interesting to deal with.”

“These brats are going to expect us to be heroes.” Chuuya scoffed. Combined, Soukoku had around 300 murders under its name, and that is only a rough estimate. “I fucking hate heroes.”

“You’ve already said that, chibi.”

“And I’ll say it again. I. Hate. Heroes.” Chuuya scoffed. “They act like they are better than anyone else, and most of them are in it for the money. They are treated like celebrities and it defeats the whole purpose of being a hero. And they mostly focus on fighting villains than actually saving people as heroes should.” The red-head ranted, gesturing wildly.

Dazai hummed, nodding. “The competitiveness does not help either.”

Chuuya grunted in agreement, obviously still angry.

“Err, Mister Dazai, Mister Nakahara? Would you like to get out now? I’m sure that the principal is waiting for you.” The driver called out from the front nervously.

The duo looked to him then each other, sighing in sync. Chuuya got out first, Dazai following moments after. They grabbed their luggage before the driver could even open his door to do so, then turned towards the school building.

“Time to face the lion’s den.” Chuuya muttered, hoisting a bag over his shoulder. Dazai chuckled, though any sort of amusement absent.

At the doors to the school, a tired looking man in a baggy black jumpsuit waited. “Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya?” He asked, voice monotone and uninterested. Chuuya nodded while Dazai looked off in the distance, finding something else that interested him more. “I’ll be showing you where you are staying. Tomorrow will be your first day of class, and you will only be teaching two times a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any of the other times All Might or I teach, but you are welcome to observe.”

Aizawa had started to walk towards a cluster of buildings next to the main highschool, though Chuuya hadn’t seen them until they had gotten out of the car.

“Where will we be staying exactly?” The red-head asked.

“There’s another teacher’s apartment in the 1-A dorms where you will stay. I’m sure that you are fine with staying together?” Aizawa drawled, and Dazai seemed to faze back into the conversation.

“Of course! Chibi and I get along just fine!” He said in a sing-song tone.

Chuuya sighed, fed up and not wanting to argue. “You better not call me that in front of these kids, asshole.”

They stopped at one of the dorms, a sign that said ‘1-A Alliance’ over the doorway.

“There will probably be some of the kids in the lounge area. Fair warning; they can smell fear.”

Chuuya rolled his eyes as the sleep-deprived teacher opened the door. Inside sat only a few of their new students. One had green hair, one red and white hair, another had engines on his legs, another was a girl with a short, brown bob. They were all sitting around a lounge area, and coming from one of the hallways was a floating t-shirt and shorts. Chuuya did a double take when he saw the girl, forgetting that some quirks are unable to be turned off.

“Oh, Aizawa-sensei! Are these the new teachers?” The invisible one asked excitedly, while bouncing around.

“Yes. This is Dazai and Nakahara. They will be teaching some days in place of regular hero training.” Aizawa said dryly.

“It’s nice to meet you, Dazai-sensei, Nakahara-sensei! I am Iida Tenya, Class 1-A’s president!” The blue boy with engines on his legs exclaimed and bowed at the waist.

“Er- there’s no need to bow kid.” Chuuya muttered awkwardly.

“Hello Dazai-sensei, Nakahara-sensei! I’m Midoriya Izuku!” The green one greeted excitedly. “I was just wondering… you both seem pretty young to be teachers, nevermind Pro-Heroes. Most Pro-Heroes start off as sidekicks for an agency, unless you have a very powerful quirk, and even then…”

He began to mutter off, and Chuuya was only able to catch a couple of words before he cut himself off and apologized.

Dazai waved the kid off. “Ah, it’s alright Midoriya-kun! Chuuya and I are both 22. And neither of us are Pro-Heroes, nor do we plan on being.”

The students in front of them proceed to look dumbfounded at the duo.

“Wha…”

“Anyway, we’re both exhausted from our journey. Aizawa, where did you say this room was?” Dazai feigned a yawn as Chuuya rolled his eyes. Like that paranoid insomniac bastard could sleep in a new place. He’ll probably stay up later hacking the UA database.

Aizawa led them down a hallway on the first floor. There were only four doors, only one of them labeled with Aizawa’s name.

“You can choose whichever dorm you want.”

Chuuya nodded at the man. “Thanks.”

The hero said nothing, only shuffling over to his own dorm.

‘He suspects us’ Chuuya taped in morse code.

‘I know’ Dazai relayed back, though not in morse, but their own code.

“Which room do you want, asshole?” Chuuya asked, breaking the silence. He was pretty sure that the kids were watching them around the corner.

“Wah! Chuuya is so mean~! And to your own husband!” Dazai put his hand over his forehead like a damsel in distress. Meanwhile, he subtly pointed to the door right across from Aizawa.

“I guess I’m not making crab tonight.” Chuuya said as he moved to the dorm.

“Noooo!”

“Put our clothes away and I’ll make it.”

“Okay!”

Dazai, of course, did not end up putting the clothes away, but still managed to get crab for dinner.

Notes:

Hope you enjoyed! I haven't really been apart of MHA for a while, so some things will definitely be off in the future, like with characterization and stuff. Also, I don't really know how to write Dazai, so I will probably be sticking to Chuuya.
