We meet at Wars and again as Spirits

Chapter 1: Leaving the battle field and Returning to station

Chapter Text

There is a forest in Hyrule. Untouched by battles for centuries until now. Blades crashed into the claws of monsters, blood tainted by the shadows, exchanging their freedom for strength, with their blood forever stained black. Heroes across eras fight to defend Hyrule from these monsters. They all know the dangers of these monsters, knowing that one mistake, and they won't come home to their loved ones who wait for them. That fear forever now lives inside of them, because the hero bathed in shadows almost died. And the shadows now focus their eyes on the hero's true fear.
Losing one of their own.
But of course, the hero bathed in shadows will be more prepared, he will be expecting another attack, and they are not all easy targets. The Tri-force collector is a threat simply by being able to push around the Gods. The God killer is a pain in the ass with that blasted sword that seals the darkness. The Time breaker is out of the question, it would be annihilated immediately. The forgetful one is protected by that stupid mutt and those dead spirits. The minish boy would outnumber him with that pesky Four Sword and that traitorous Shadow. The God Awakener has too many powerful items to deal with. The fairy would be behind the Awakener. But of course, the easiest would be the one they trust to be able to handle himself. The Shadow grinned, The Time Connector wouldn't expect it to attack him, after all, Shadow is Link and Link is the Shadow they are one of the same people.
Their fears are what they all hold close in their hearts where no one will know but they aren't anyone, they are them, so Malladus's killer won't expect it.

Warriors hated Wild's monsters.
He can take them when they're normal, but this is just a nuisance. An ice elemental Lizolfo jumped him after he cut down some Blue Bokoblins that pushed him back near a lake, and he had to kill them fast, he does not want to be an ice sculpture thank you very much! The Lizolfo falls and. One of his brothers screams his name.

" Wars!"

Claws tear some of the skin on his face as the monster's weight causes him to fall into the lake. He doesn't care what the vet might think but, damn it why did it have to be his face? The monster is a black Lizolfo that did it. And he pulls the stupid Lizolfo down with him. It wasn't the shadow the Chain was chasing, it was one of fucking Wild's weird-colored monsters. ( The Portal that Lizolfo drags him through is familiar to the one that was opened in the War of Eras. It was her magic-)
The Portal from the lake spats him out onto wooden floors. He falls down right in front of the Lizolfo. The screams of civilians around him, tell him of the location. A place full of people. There are familiar screams in the panic crowd, voices he once knew at twelve years old.
It is hard to remember what happened next, Lizolfo is dead, his face is still bleeding, and there is one person other than him in the room, he still looks the same as when he last saw him at thirteen years old, with that same hat and outfit. Colors and shapes blur into each other. How deep did those Lizolfo claws cut his face? His neck feels empty without his scarf. His eyelids start to become heavy.
He shot out a guess into the dark to the familiar blurs of colors of childhood, " Mr. Linebeck?"
" Link?!" Linebeck shouts.
Oh, he recognizes him, he's glad Mr. Linebeck still remembers him. His legs give out, as his eyes close.

( Wild looks at the lake horrified. The battle is over in their victory but at what cost? Warriors is gone.
And it's all his fault. It may have not been directly his fault, but it was his Hyrule's monsters that caused them to lose a brother. So it's still his fault. He couldn't warn him in time. Just like a hundred years ago. If only-
" -ub, hey Cub!"
" Sorry Twilight, what is it?"
"Another Portal is waiting for us," He puts his hand on his shoulder to comfort him, " It wasn't your fault Wild."
" I know, but still." He mumbles. He wasn't fast enough. It was like the Calamity, he wasn't strong enough he wasn't fast enough to save them. To save Zelda from those tears-
Twilight flicks him on the head.
" Ow- Fu. Twi! What was that for?" He groaned.
" Not more of those thoughts, it wasn't your fault. It was Ganon." Twilight says. It reminds him of Zelda's words when he broke down in front of her after the defeat of the Calamity.
" Come on then, let's get going," Twilight says.
Twilight's left eye looked familiar. Liked he'd seen it before, not on himself in the memories of him being a Knight of Hyrule.
Something flashed.
A memory.
" Come on then." A familiar voice said. " Show me the strength of the future Knights of Hyrule."
" Something wrong Wild?" Twilight asked.
Who was that? Something was wrong. When he turned to his brother to respond. His mouth shuts. Strange memories crash with his perception of reality. Shouldn't both of his eyes should be full of grief? No, it shouldn't that hasn't- his right eye is supposed to be red- No it's not he has two blue eyes. The right side of his face is supposed to be rotted away, and his wolf pelt is supposed to be bigger. No, it's not.
" I'm fine Sh- Twi." He stumbled over words.
Who did he remember? Why did he confuse him for Twi?
" If you say so Cub." Twilight answers.
On his journey, he traveled with an older Wolfie. An older version of his brother. When Twilight eventually found out they were family he tried teaching him the Hidden Skills that he learned from his mentor, it came to him so easily. That memory, even if it was just a flash.
Could this be the very fate that awaited his brother after this journey? Had Twi waited so long to pass on the Hidden Skills he tried to teach him before the Calamity? He turns around to shake that out of his thoughts, that couldn't happen to Twi. He spots Time clutching Warrior's abandoned scarf, Time was always close to Wars when he wasn't with Twilight. Behind Time in the shadows, he spots Heterochromia eyes, one familiar blue one red, and a wolf head with glowing white eyes.
He turns around quickly.
What terrible fate awaited his brother? He pondered in fear for his brother. )

Warriors wake up on a warm bed. Are they at Lon Lon Ranch? His face feels numb, and his eyelids want to fall again.
" Glad you're awake Link." A voice that was not Time. He nearly shoots up from the bed to turn towards the voice.
" Nuh Mr.! You are going to lie down and stay there till you get better!" His sister yelled at him while shoving him down back on the bed. He obliges for now.
Holy shit. That's his twin sister Linkle. When did she?
No wait, when did he get back to his Hyrule?
" Are you even paying attention to me, little brother?!" Linkle yelled.
" Please be nice to your brother, his fever just broke a few minutes ago." He heard Linebeck or was it Alfonzo? His mind was spinning.
" Sorry, " He murmured, he turned his head towards Linebeck. Words finally registered in his head. " Wait what do you mean my fever just broke."
" You were delirious the few times you woke up Link," Alfonzo answered.
" Yeah you all like, ' the Sky is friends with his sword, the little people don't know I know they are four little people, the Time is a Mask, and the Wind hasn't found out, and Epona has been munching on the Wilds hair,' You get it?" His Sister finishes her rant.
He stares at his sister. How delirious was he if he claimed Epona was munching on Wild's hair?
" This is too much to deal with I'm napping." He responds and turns to his side closing his eyes.
" Don't you go to sleep on me!"
They eventually leave and he falls asleep and dreams.
He dreams of when he was thirteen. The Conductor of the Spirit train a Royal Engineer of the kingdom of Hyrule before the beginning effects of the Guardian of Times chaos. When he was a timid child because of the spirits that lingered, and afraid of being judged because of his heritage. Just months before he pulled the sword of evil's bane from the final resting place in the Great Sea, unknowing with Triforce, only to hide it in the Lost Woods. He was in uniform when he found a portal. A portal he would then find again at twenty-four years old. He poked his head through, but he was pushed through the strange portal away from the tracks. Away from the Forest realm of Hyrule which was his home, to a forest overgrown and wild with plants and huge trees for a child, no he's a young adult, he has a job and he saved the Kingdom and Princess Zelda. He can do this. He gets up from his spot and Lighting strikes near him.
The Lokomo Sword continues to pulse with electricity. Link quickly discards his sword to the floor. He hears a stick crack behind him and he turns to see a big wolfos spirit, with blue eyes staring at him, with a chain on his left wrist. He steps back a bit and the wolfos steps toward him. Fear seeps through him, he shouldn't be scared of a wolfos. Heroes aren't supposed to be scared of anything especially dead things. But damn it, he was scared, and the only way of fighting a wolfos was getting his sword he discarded because of the strange environment.
Lighting strikes again, and the wolf turns away, he runs to grab his sword and runs deeper into the woods. The deeper he gets the more his sword sparks. So the best thing he does is shove it deeper into his bag and keep wandering. There got to be a way out of this forest he grumbles.
" You're going the wrong way Kiddo." A voice said.
He shrieks and turns around to see a man in green, he wears a wolf pelt, and chain mail carries a sword, and has a strange marking on his forehead. He kind of looks ridiculous. The red glowing eye from the Armored Skeleton behind him keeps him shut.
And he dares to call him a kiddo?! Just who does this man think he is? His dad? No, Link, you can't be rude to a passenger, just answer nicely.
" O-oh, uh thank you for the information s-sir?" He asks. Ugh, that sounds terrible. Has his social skills plunged into nonexistent since he's become a train conductor?
" None of that fancy 'Sir' stuff kid, just call me Twilight," Twilight responded.
Twilight was a weird name, but then again who is he to judge his name is Link.
" Um, where are we exactly?" He asked. It's good to get information from people who probably lived here.
" Faron Woods, kid," Twilight tells him.
Link has never heard of Faron Woods before.
Is he even in New Hyrule anymore?
" You seem a bit young to be traveling by yourself," Twilight starts, " Where are your folks' kid."
" Dead." He answers bluntly. " They've been dead for a long time, and I ain't from here."
Twilight looks at him with pity, " You said you're not from here? Where are you from?"
" The Forest Realm in New Hyrule," He answers, Twilight raises his eyebrow " You probably won't believe it but, I kind of got spat out of a portal here."
The man chuckles, " Well ain't that a story, and let me guess your name is Link right?"
He reaches for his sword, " Yes." He slightly hissed, " How do you know?" Is he one of Malladus's followers?
" Well, my real name is Link too, and I ain't from this Hyrule either." Twilight chuckled.
Link pauses. " You're joking right?" He lowers his arm, "There is no way time travel could have happened for us to meet."
" Nope!" Twilight pops the p sound. " But would you like to meet the rest?"
"There's more!" He nearly screams.
" And they're all named Link too." He says as he walks away.
He runs after him, " What do you mean?! How are we meeting? Why are we meeting?"
" We don't know?" Twilight answers.
" Twili!" A scratchy voice calls out.
A man with scars all over the left side of his body wears a blue tunic. He's being haunted by a Goron, a strange-looking Rito, a redfish lady, and a tall imposing woman with red hair. Behind them, there is a Hylian with a green wolfos head that matches the beast from earlier, his armor has holes around vital organs and vines growing over it.
' A poor soul who hasn't passed on yet.' He thinks to himself.
" Wild, good to see you," Twilight says fondly. " Shouldn't you stay with the camp Cub?"
" Well," Wild starts, " I just started wandering around you know cuz camp is boring and then I found you and that kid you picked up."
" I ain't a-," He paused, the castle town folks don't really like his accent so why would it change for them? " I'm not a child."
" Yeah, yeah, and I'm a bad cook," Wild said jokingly(?) and grabbed his collar from his uniform.
" Hey! Let me go!" He growled.
" Cub he can walk on his own," He could hear Twilight come to his defense.
" Nope, the 'adult' will run off again into Faron woods," Wild said sarcastically at the term' adult.
Link did not pout. He didn't pout at all when he was dragged along by Wild and Twilight back to wherever they were going.
" I found Twili!" Wild shouts.
He turns his head to where Wild is shouting.
Around a camp, were three other travelers. A boy with a multi-colored tunic, long blond hair with a headband, a man with a scar and war paint? marking on his face with a rather boring color tunic, and a man with a cape with a green tunic with...
His jaw dropped.
The Master sword, the same legendary sword the Hero of Time and the Hero of Winds weld. The sacred Sword that was lost to the Great Sea when the Hero of Winds fought Ganondorf.
" Wild who's that." The boy in the multi-colored tunic asked. He's haunted by a black tunic version of himself, with purple hair.
The man with the one eye, mumbled something while staring at him. He's being haunted by a woman stroking his hair, and there are tree branches around his leg, there are other races around him along with an ancient Zora a little wooden plant, and a God who stands by his side.
" A new Link!" Wild shouts.
" So he's from the same era as you Wild?" The cape one asked. He's being haunted by a being with firey hair and black skin, but the sword keeps pulling the being back.
" Nope," Twilight answered, " He was dropped from another portal from his Hyrule."
Wild ended up letting him go of his collar.
The cape boy is suddenly in front of him and he hands him the Master sword.
" Here, " He says, " This is Fi, she gives us our Hero title, it's our nickname." He chuckled.
He hesitates in fear of the fiery man behind him, but he then reaches his hand out to the sword, and he holds the sword. A small chime told him.
He was the Hero of Spirits.
" Welcome along, Spirit." The man says. he then points around to the people around them, " You already know Twilight and Wild, that Four, the one-eyed man is Time, and I'm Sky."

The dream fades away when he wakes up again. He feels much better than before and it's nighttime in his Hyrule. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, he then touched the bandages on his face. That Lizolfo's claws must have cut deep into his skin if they'd insisted on not touching his face earlier. These scars going to be permanent after the bandages come off. Heh, he's going to have face scars like Time and Wild. He sighs, I miss them, he removes the blankets and tip-toes out of bed to see the sky. Sometimes he can't sleep under a roof, the adventures got him used to sleeping outside... and the war. Impa was furious when she found him sleeping on the roof of Hyrule Castle. He sat on the bench outside of the station.
" So this is where you've been Link." An old voice called out.
He had never spun his head so quick in his entire life. When he turned he saw
" Grandma?" He asked. " What are you doing here? I thought-"
" Oh hush, you'd think I wouldn't come as quick as my old bones can take me to see my Grandson after he mysteriously vanished no?" An oddly familiar glint in his Grandma's eyes reminded him so much of Wind.
" Sorry Grandma, I didn't think I would have gotten swept on an adventure." He apologized.
" An adventure aye?" She sat down beside him, " Tell me about them, I know what an adventure does to someone."
So he talks, about meeting the chain, their antics, and what happening on their journey so far.
" To be honest I think Wind hasn't realized Time is Mask from the War, I wonder why though?"
" That's because my brother ain't really trying hard enough to see it." His Grandma chuckled. " Brings back old memories of when I was a young lass."
He chuckled.
Wait. WHAT!
" Wait, wait wait. You're actually his sister!" He ( Didn't yell, no matter what everyone said, he did not yell in surprise.) said in shock.
" Of course Warriors." She giggled. " Did you really not put it together yet?"
" I mean," He blushed, " I didn't think you be, ya know."
" A gremlin?" His Grandma asked. " You forget that bit was probably my brother's fault."
He laughs, " I hope the Chain is going to be alright without me."
" They will my Grandson, they'll be fine. Now go back to sleep."
" Alright, I'll get going." He chuckled.

Patient.
He's told Wind and Mask many times in the War to be patient and wait instead of running off to the battlefield. But now he has to be patient waiting for a Portal, Whoever is controlling the portals just PLEASE open them right here so he can go back to the other Links. He sighed again. His patience was running thin, it's been three days already.
" You're moping again aren't you?" His sister asked.
" I ain't moping," He huft. " Just waitin."
She sits down next to him.
" Ain't that what you said after the War?" Linkle answers.
He doesn't answer, they both know it's true.
"Being a soldier, you know you said you were going to do it for a bit until you can drive the train again, then," She waves her hand around, " That. You can quit now I'm sure her Majesty-"
" No, she wouldn't," He interrupts, " I'm one of the few people she trusts in the castle, I can't, not yet Hyrule-"
" Fuck what's going on," Linkle interrupts, " If you're one of the few people she trusts, then she would respect your choices, not try and keep you in a cage like an animal." She turns towards him, " Live your life little brother, not what Princess Zelda wants, not what Hyrule wants, not what the Goddess wants, it's what you want."
" You've somehow become wise." He said lightheartedly.
" Things change you," Linkle answered. " But not always for the better."
" I know." He says. " I know, but Hyrule still needs its hero doesn't it?" He feels pathetic asking this question, " All the turncoats they're still here, they're a threat still aren't they?"
" They are, but the Sheikah can handle them," He puts her hand on his shoulder, " You don't have to bear the weight of Hyrule on your own Link, go drive your train like you've always wanted."
" I don't know if I should though," He answers, " Everyone expects me to stay by Zelda's side, and stay being the Hero."
" Like I said fuck them," Linkle answered. " You don't need their approval to be yourself, Link, you tell them 'Fuck off' alright?"
He laughs, " You remind me of Legend. Same attitude"
" You've found a good crew." Linkles chuckles, " I'd just wish I could have met them, they sound fun."
" Yeah, they are." He says fondly.
" Then," Linkle slaps him on the back, " While you're waitin' for them, go get your train back! It won't be that long till you reunite with them."
He smiles, " Thank you, Linkel."
" Aw, shucks, you don't need to thank me, that's what older siblings are for!" Linkle says as he messes up his hair.
" Hey! Stop that!" He giggles.

Weeks become months and while waiting for the chain to pick him up, he finds himself reviewing how to take care of a Train, chatting with some old friends who aren't from the war, writing a resignation letter so he can quit the Hyrulean Army, he wore the green Hero tunic less, and less, he wore his engineer clothes once again, and his sister is his self-appointed therapist, which is working out with him very well since she accidentally walked into a class to become a therapist five years before. He had just gotten the bandages off his face and now he was going to get his permit (again) back with Aflonzo, which means he is going to talk to Queen Zelda and General Impa since he got back to his Hyrule. Goddess this is going to be awkward. He really hopes Linkle delivers his resignation letter to them.
" Link!" Linkle calls out. " Wait up!"
He turns around, and his sister is holding something.
" Grandma got you something!" She said as she was catching her breath.
She hands him a present, and he opens the box to a blue bandanna.
" Did Grandma make this?" He asked.
" Yep! Grandma wanted to give this to you went you first got it but..." Linkle trailed off.
" Yeah, Grandpa's anniversary." He says.
He isn't sure which one is it, if it's Grandpa's, or it's Wind's death date, she never told him or Linkle.
Wind he thinks silently, he thinks back to that dead Pirate captain who watched over the Master Sword when it was still underneath the Great Sea, he still can't compare that to the boy he knew as his little brother to the dead captain.
" Link I hope you didn't forget again," Aflonzo said behind him.
Aflonzo's words snapped him out of his thoughts, " Oh yeah, um I'm ready."
" Can I hitch a ride?" Linkle asked, " The Queen says she wants to talk to me."
" You have to buy a ticket Linkle, just because I'm a conductor doesn't mean you get a free ride." He teased.
" You might as well come along," Alfonzo said. " Link do you remember the controls for a train, You're driving to Castle Town in"
" In three hundred seconds, I know Alfonzo." He interrupted. " I remember the routes."
He ties the bandanna around his neck, "Let's get this show on the road!"

The tracks haven't changed, they are the same as he remembered them as a child when he got to Castle Town ( under three hundred seconds just because he grew up doesn't mean he'll be slower Aflonzo.)
The people of Castle Town are nice, too nice. ( Do they not recognize it's him? Does he really look that different when he's not in guard uniform)
When they get to the Castle walls, Linkle interrupts the guards before they can say anything.
" They're with me." She told them.
When they entered the Castle, it was weird to see it all again after months of traveling to different Hyrules.
When they entered the throne room, Queen Zelda was talking to Impa and Lana was standing around.
Why was Lana here? I thought she returned to her duties? He wonders.
The Queen turned around and his face lit up like back then (He wonders if Linkle is her therapist too), " Link, Linkle, Mr. Alfonzo! It's so good to see you three again!"
" Captain." Lmpa greeted. " I've seen you come back from wherever you went. Can you give us a report on what you saw?"
" Impa you don't have to call me Captain, didn't Linkle give you my resignation letter?" He asked.
" What resignation letter?" Queen Zelda asked.
He slowly turned towards Linkle, " You gave them my resignation letter right?"
His sister refused to look him in the eye.
" You gave them my resignation letter right?"
" Um oops?"
" You don't oops a mistake like!"
He hears Aflonzo sigh, and his and Linkle's collars are pulled and their collars are being held by Aflonzo like a cat.
" Children please remember what we came for," Aflonzo said, and then he dropped them back on the ground.
" Apologize Mr. Aflonzo."
" Sorry Mr. Aflonzo."
After the complicated discussion on where the portal and the strange monsters come from, and where he went. Queen Zelda gave back his permit so now, he can drive the Spirit Train legally again. Linkle was giving Impa her report on the traitors that are still around in Hyrule. Aflonzo left the castle, and it was just him and Zelda, Lana was still standing around.
" So, um." He starts, "How's it been?"
" Hyrule has been well cousin, how was your adventure?" She asked.
" Good, it was good, I got to see Toon, and Mask again." He replied.
" Oh?" She questioned, " How's the little terrors?"
He laughs, " Well there's only one now, Mask grew up and became a responsible adult."
" You're joking, Mask, the little terror on the battlefield and the bases, become responsible."
" He's married too."
" No way. Is it that farm girl he mentioned or is it that one princess?"
" The farm girl's name is Malon, and yes he's married to her."
" Midna owes me fifty rupees then."
" You bet on that? Since when?"
" Since Midna thought she could beat me in the War of Eras."
They laugh together, and Lana comes towards them.
" Apologize your Majesty, but can I talk to Ca- Conductor Link for a bit."
" Of course, Lana, and we're friends there's no need for titles," She loudly whispers to her, " except when Impa is in earshot." Zelda giggled
Lana laughed and then pulled him away to talk on the other side of the room.
" So," He starts. Gosh, this is so awkward. "What so important you needed to talk to me alone?"
" Link, do you know what you are fighting?" Lana ignored his question.
" A shadow and monsters with black blood." He answered, " Why? Did you find something?"
" No not exactly, but it is ripping through the time flow, and as the Guardian of Time, it should have been dealt with easily, but the separation between Cia and I, and her death in the war, doesn't let me have the exact complete powers yet."
" Uh-huh, you're telling me because why now?" He asks.
" Because, when you and the other Heros of courage left their timelines, I couldn't find them or you, until you returned alone in this Era. Whatever manipulating the timeline, it's only in that Shadow's control."
" So there's a chance it isn't the Goddess sending us across time then." He concluded.
She nodded.
" So there's a chance they won't enter this Era until the Shadow chooses so." He concludes.
" And you don't want Zelda and Impa to know."
" You're correct," Lana says.
There's a chance this was his end on that journey.
"Thank you, Lana." He says.
She offers him a smile of pity.
He turns his back towards her and walks back, all the regret seeps in. He could have made more meaningful bonds with his brothers. He could have done better with his friendship with Legend, instead of purposely acting in vain to get him to laugh from time to time. He could have told Wind about him being his ancestor and predecessor. Linkle walks up to him.
" So what did Lana need to tell you alone?" She asked.
" It's nothing," He lies, " I'll tell you eventually."
" It ain't nothing if you say you'll tell me later." She says, eyeing him.
The train ride is quiet, they aren't taking the route to visit Linebeck. He sighs, he wonders what his brothers are doing and if will he see them again. And his thoughts spiral down on what if, and what he could have done better.

( Time continues to clutch Warrior's scarf as they pass through the portal. He let that monster take his brother. That thing took one of his boys away.
He should have been faster.
The Ocarina of Time hums in his bag. It whispers like the Fierce Deity mask, instead of having great power to protect everyone, it whispers power to travel through time, it whispers that with its power it can save his brother.
And it knows he can't, he promised Malon that he wouldn't do it again, he won't break-
" Time, are you alright?" Chosen asks. " I asked you three times if I could have Warriors scarf. So I can clean it, and when he ya know."
" Apologizes Sky, I was thinking about something." He gives Sky the scarf, " I'm sure he'll appreciate it."
When we find him was left unsaid.
When Sky left, it continued to whisper to him. Just like all his other items from Termina. Whispering promises that he knows if he goes through, will harm him or even harm his boys.)

" Alright Link, talk." His sister said.
Twilight and his sister will get along like a house on fire for all the over-protectiveness they have for their little siblings.
" Lana just told me something important, that-"
His sister interrupts him, " Do I have to punt someone in the face?"
He chuckles, " No, not yet," Maybe the Shadow if it shows its ugly noggin here.
" It's just," He sighs, " Lana said there's a chance I won't reunite with my friends, that's all." He says.
'That's all', such a blatant lie. " Friends" is a lie too, they're family.
" I call that a bunch of goat shit. It obviously affected you way more than your showing." Linkle points out the obvious lie.
" Fine, it's -"

( They sat around the camp. Wild said it looked like his era, so they are going to head out tomorrow. Wind sighs in the bed, he can't fall asleep. His mind drifts off to the lies he's let them believe. He's less innocent than he let them believe. Sure he makes immature jokes at random times to get them to laugh, Wars helped too when he was here. He likes to help people and get them to smile. But he isn't sure how to do it this time. Members of the chain all have quirks that they never share, but their fellow fallen crew mention them.
Wild's friends(?) mention Wild's old behavior before his amnesia, and Wind can see how that affects Wild without those memories. His recklessness is because of his first battle before the calamity and his friend Mipha's gift to let him protect those he cares about.
Legend's Uncle often apologizes for his behavior and rude comments. Marin often waved at him and the captain, or she became a seagull in his Hyrule. It's pitiful seeing a friend like that.
Four was strange, he was being haunted by a purple-haired version of himself, he didn't share anything, he just ruffled his hair and laughed at his attempts at figuring out Four.
He wasn't going near Sky's haunter with an 8-foot pole. Sky killed a God, and that God is a petty bitch.
Surprisingly Hyrule had the most ghosts, all of them cheering him on. He had more than the captain.
Twilight had a skeleton Soldier following. He didn't talk like fours spirit. Just the occasional laugh from time to time. The spirit seemed like it was reminiscing the days he was alive.
The captain had-
A twig snapped and Wind sat up.
" You alright sailor?" Time asked him.
" Yeah, Time. I just thought I heard something." He says. It is the truth technically.
" Hmm. I can scout ahead, usually, there's something if you want me to." Time says.
" You don't have to, it was silly anyway." He panics.
He lays back down. Well, that was silly, being scared of a little branch. He turns his back towards Time and faces Wild, who is lying down next to Hyrule. His eyes widened, someone was standing over him. It's a man with a wolf head, and a pair of heterochromia eyes, one red, one blue. He looks closely, and half of his face is rotted away, with his armor punctured at places, with vines overgrown, a dead man then. Family of Wild's perhaps?
" Go back to sleep Sailor." The man says.
He sounds like Twilight.
Oh gods he sounds like Twilight.
" Don't worry about me, sailor, I've been dead for a long time." The spirit of his brother says as he gives a pitiful smile to him with his half-rotted face.

" Find your ś̶̡̡̞̭̤̝̠̠̹̹́̓͗̀͒ͅù̴͕̼̠̞̱̰̮̱̌̑͜͝ç̷̨͖̣̥̱̜͚̹̦͍͈̇̾̍͗̄̈̒́͌͝͝͝c̸̢̛̻̞̘̿̋̇̾̀̾̿̏ë̷̡̡͇̠̗̹̫̲̻̻̖̬̻͓́̍̎̍̈s̷̨̛̍̎̍̎s̸̛͙̟̪͚̞̈́̽̅̈̿̚͝ǫ̵̮͖̯̼̖̤̆́̾̇̑͐̔͗͘͝r̷̸̺̝̟̲͍͓͉̮̗̺͔̙̳̜̗̦̊̄̈́̀͐͊̈́͊̈̅̏̾͆͋̕ pirate Captain." He tells him.

What?)

" So there's a chance you won't see your friends again because Lana has no idea how this 'Shadow' is jumping through time, and she doesn't want Impa or Zelda to know right?" Linkle says.
" Pretty much the whole conversation." He said.
" Well that sucks, I was hoping to meet Wind and Mask again." She mutters.
I want to be able to save Wind from his fate, he thinks to himself.
" But!" She says as she sits up, "There's still hope they'll come here right?"
Hope.
He smiles, " Yeah, there is still a chance."

That chance just took three years.
Where he stands in front of a portal just like he did three years ago. With most of his equipment ( plus Legend's fire rod), he can't help but smile. He'll see his brothers soon. When he heard some of the Mailmen were traveling through the portals, he took his chances and asked some of them where the portals might be appearing. Ironically it appeared where he first found that portal. A lot has happened in these three years, but now, he can't help but smile as he can see his brothers again. He steps through the portal to the woods of an Era of Hyrule from the future.
