Chapter Text
Omori laid on his back, staring at the endless "ceiling" of White Space.
The familiar tune played softly in the background, and Omori was enjoying the peace and quiet.
Ah, yes, this was one of those rare days when Sunny didn't need to escape into here or when his friends didn't want to—
BAM BAM BAM!
Ah. It appears he spoke too soon.
Omori groaned, a flicker of red surrounding him. Go away.
"Omoriii! It's me, Kel! Come out and play with me! Aubrey, Hero, and Mari are all busy at Basil's, and I'm booored."
Omori sighed. He could just ignore Kel, but there's a chance Kel would kick Omori's door down...again. That took a very long time to repair.
Omori got on his feet and picked up his steak knife. It was pretty dull...he oughtta resharpen it soon.
When he stepped out into his favorite room of all of Headspace, he saw a bright and grinning Kel.
"Hey, Omori! Sooo, whaddya wanna do?"
Omori blinked. Wasn't Kel the one who invited him?
"Haha, well, let's go to the park! We should have it all to ourselves today!" Kel took Omori's hand and lead him through the Vast Forest.
All the while, Omori's heart did somersaults in his chest. What is this feeling? Why am I...oh God no. No no no no no! SUNNY!
This must be why Sunny's been so...okay lately. He's in love yet again! This time, with KEL of all people!
Omori dug in his heels, trying to stop the Kel ride.
"Huh? What's wrong, Omori?" Kel looked back and tilted his head to the side. "Don't you want to hang out with me?"
Omori shook his head quickly, becoming AFRAID.
"Woah! Are you okay? Why are you so scared?"
Omori tried prying his arm out of Kel's grasp, but to no avail. In fact, Kel's grip got tighter.
God DARN it, Sunny! Why does it have to be true to life? Why couldn't you have given me muscles?? Also, why did you put a censor on in this world???
Buffmori. Definitely sounds cooler.
Omori forced himself to focus on the present situation, but found himself getting lost in Kel's eyes. He was watching curiously, not realizing what he was doing.
Omori swallowed, his cheeks warming. The Emotion Space around him flickered between gray, red, yellow, and dark gray. He struggled as hard as he could to get away from Kel, but Kel only pulled Omori closer.
"What's wrong?" Kel asked innocently.
Omori huffed, turning his head away while his cheeks burned. Kel snapped his fingers, lighting up.
"Oh yeah, right! I wanted to try something with you, if that's okay."
Omori opened and closed his mouth quickly, trying and failing to form words. Kel put his face really close to Omori's, and...
Well. Omori felt Kel's lips on his.
It was a soft kiss—not too short, not to long. When Kel pulled away, smiling, Omori saw a small blue blush on Kel's cheeks.
"I wanted to try kissing you," Kel admitted. "I like you, Omori. I hope you like me, too."
Shoot. Crud. Frap frap frap.
Omori sighed, looking at the ground. He might as well be honest.
He gave Kel a single nod, and Kel gasped. He threw his arms around Omori, laughing happily.
"I'm so glad!" Kel cheered. "Now we're boyfriend and...boyfriend! So...what do we do now that we're together? Do we, like...gotta be cheesy and stuff like Mari and Hero?"
Omori shrugged. He might know a bit more than any twelve-year-old should know (thanks, Sunny), but he hadn't the first clue how to do relationships.
"Hm...let's just play at the park!"
Omori nodded, and Kel finally let him go, running in the direction of the aforementioned place.
Suddenly, it hit him.
I kissed Kel.
Omori looked around quickly, then beamed, a strange yellowish green color filling his Emotion Space. His expression went to the MANIC one, which was why he waited until he was sure he was alone. (MANIC tended to scare child Sprout Moles and sometimes even his friends.)
LET'S FLUFFING GOOOOOOOOO!!!
