Theo had just seen something horrifying happen. Shilo, his new friend, just ripped someone's throat out. He had no idea what to do, so he did nothing.
"S-Shilo! Come on man what's wrong?" Theo had no idea what was happening or how to fix it. He only became more scared when Shilo's neck snapped towards him. Theo didn't see those kind eyes he was used to. He saw pure blood red in Shilo's eyes. Before he could react Shilo jumped at him and pinned him to the ground. Theo struggled to escape Shilo's grasp but was only a human. Shilo had inhuman strength only a vampire could have so he was powerless.
"Shilo come on! Snap out of it man! This isn't like you!" Theo's words fell on deaf ears. Shilo simply growled and bit into Theo's neck. Theo screamed as he felt Shilo's fangs stab into his neck. His vision started swimming and he couldn't tell if it was because he wasn't breathing right or because of the blood loss.
"HELP- FUCK EMIZEL ARE YOU THERE? ANY HEL-" Theo was cut off by Shilo ripping out part of his throat. Theo started choking on his blood. The last thing he saw before passing out was Shilo's Horrified face. Theo gave Shilo a shakey smile before passing out.
Emizel was talking to the doctor, trying to get him to help the people inside the building but as soon as he heard Theo's screams he stopped. He told the doctor to stay there before running inside. Nothing could've readied him for what he was about to see. Emizel ran in and saw Shilo kneeling over Theo's bleeding-out body, shaking him and telling him to wake up. All the gang members were huddled in the corner scared for their lives and a different gang member's dead body on the floor. Emizel rushes over to Shilo's side eyes wide.
"What the fuck happened?? What did you do??" Emizel glared at Shilo before looking at Theo's body with concern "He better not be dead Shilo! I fucking swear if he is!"
Shilo glances at Emizel before gently laying down Theo's body.
"I believe he is gone. I am sorry I don't know what happ-"
"OH YOU'RE 'SORRY'. WHAT THE FUCK!" Emizel glares at Shilo, baring his fangs. "MY BEST FRIEND IS FUCKING DEAD AND ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY IS SORRY??"
"Emizel I don't know what happened! It's all a blur" Shilo says before looking at his lap.
"of fucking course it is!" Emizel growls before grabbing Theo's body and standing up. "Fuck. Fuck this isn't good." Emizel wants to cry but can't. He hugs Theo's body tightly. "it wasn't supposed to be like this. We were supposed to be bros forever. I was going to make him a vampire. It wasn't supposed to go this way." Emizel wasn't saying this to anyone in particular, just airing out his thoughts.
After a few minutes of silence, Shilo stands up and looks at Emizel "Maybe we should bury his body and tell his other loved ones." Emizel just nods and starts walking out. Shilo follows him.
The two brothers make their way to Soda's house, Emizel leading the way while carrying Theo's body with Shilo lagging a few steps behind him.
They walk up the door of Theo's house and Emizel puts Theo's body down before knocking on the door.
A muffled voice yells "One moment!". A few seconds after that a man opens the door. He has a smile on his face before it falls as soon as he sees that it's Emizel at the door.
"oh, it's you. Emizel." The man sighs before speaking again "What is I-"
"Theo's dead." Emizel cuts off the man. The man's eyes go wide and it takes him a few seconds to reply
"What do you mean Theo's-" Before he can talk anymore Emizel picks up Theo's body and hands it to the man.
"what the fuck..." The man looks at the body before back at Emizel for answers but he's already gone. Tears fall down the man's face as he takes his son's body inside.
It's a silent walk back to the B&B. The two brothers have nothing to say to each other. Emizel isn't even mad at Shilo anymore. He just feels empty. He's lost the only truly good thing in his. His best friend. Fuck. They wanted to be more than best friends. Emizel Thinks about the life him and Theo could've had if wasn't such a coward. What if he kissed Theo all those times he wanted to? What if he told Theo his true feelings? Emizel will never know.
