“Well, it was a pleasure spending this fine evening with you Ms Furina.”
Arlecchino spoke in her usual proper tone. Gently she would take Furina's hand in her own, rubbing the shorter woman's knuckles with her thumb while a look of contemplation fell across her face.
“Thank you again for taking me out. It was a very lovely evening!” Furina spoke with a genuine smile on her face.
As the pair stood there Furina saw what appeared to be a look of hesitation on her date's face. Taking a second before deciding she would be brave and try something new. Standing on the tips of her toes she'd lean in, kissing Arlecchino on the cheek.
“I hope there will be more like it in the future.” Furina whispered right next to Arlecchino's ear before pulling away.
A furious blush appeared on Furina’s face as she lost all confidence and realized she may have gone too far. Before she could even move to apologize, Arlecchino started doing something weird.
Taking a step back Furina would watch as her date started to, as best as she could describe it, glitch out. Turing red and black as one second she appeared with raised arms as if celebrating, then the next bent over with her hands on her head looking distraught. Then she returned to normal, caressing her own palm as she looked at Furina.
“I-I should be going. Have a good rest of your night, Ms. Furina.” Arlecchino spoke in her usual tone but it was more rushed.
Before Furina could even say a word Arlecchino had already taken off down the road.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
Navia groaned at the sounds coming from the door. Rolling out of bed and flopping onto the floor, she'd slowly get up. Looking at her sleeping lover Navia would just chuckle.
“Master duelist yet could sleep through an earthquake..” Navia whispered to herself before hearing more banging at the door.
Before even opening the abused door she could hear a panicked Furina on the other side. “Clorinde! Clorinde are you awake? Clorinde please!”
Opening the door Navia would look at the ex-Archon. “Sorry, she's asleep right now. It's the middle of the night Furina, what's going on?” She asked before letting out a yawn.
“W-Well I went on a date today a-and at the end I don't know what came over me. Was I confident? Did I make a mistake? Oh gods what if I-” Furina's rambling was stopped by Navia's outstretched hand.
“Furina, please just tell me what happened.”
“R-Right, so I kissed her on the cheek as a thank you. B-But then she started glitching in and out of reality! She turned all red and black, it made the strangest sounds but only lasted a few seconds before she returned to normal. Is that normal? What does that mean??” Furina panic explained before turning to panic questioning.
Navia just stared at Furina for a moment. “...I think it means she likes you.”
“W-What!? Are you sure?! In all the romance novels I've read no one did that!” Furina panic rambled, everything was still so new to her.
Navia placed her hand on Furina's head, gently caressing her while the panicking girl slowly calmed herself. “Maybe it would be a good idea to talk to your date about it tomorrow? Who knows, maybe it'll earn you a second date.” She calmly explained to her friend before removing her hand from the blue and white hair.
“Y-Yeah… I'll give it a try. Thank you Navia.” Furina gave a soft smile before giving a small wave goodbye.
Navia would watch her leave, heading back inside once Furina had disappeared throughout the city. As she made it back to her room she'd see a very tired Clorinde sitting up in bed. Hair so messy Navia would be killed if she even talked about it.
“Wha was zat about..?” The still half asleep duelist asked, rubbing her eyes.
“Oh, Furina came by with a question for you. But I think I handled it well for you.” Navia spoke with a proud smile on her face.
Clorinde would give the blonde a sleepy smile before sleepily wrapping her arms around Navia's shoulders. “Mmm well that's good to hear my sweet, now lay back down it's cold without you.” Clorinde complained which earned her a soft kiss on the cheek from her lover.
“Hey Clorinde, one quick question.” Clorinde would let out a questioning hmm before Navia continued. “How come you don't glitch out of reality when I kiss you?”
A moment of silence passed as Clorinde just blinked at her.
“I'm sorry what?!”
