Work Header

Waking to Longing.

Summary:

Kim Dokja wakes up and he finds himself not able to remember anything, no, Rover, wakes up and finds himself not able to remember anything. He does remember bits and bits, there and there. But he feels like he’s missing something. Like there’s a gap that itches his mind little by little. He feels the need to find that piece he’s missing in his current body.

Notes:

I may or may not have derived this from the continuous comments of ‘Male Rover looks like Kim Dokja’.

Forgive me if it’s short or it looks like it was written by a beginner. Probably because it is written by a beginner. Please go easy on me.
(╥﹏╥)

Chapter Text

"Tell me, you fool. If I continue to regress, will I ever get to meet you again?"

__________________________________________________

Fool…

Is he the fool…?

Why did he remember this specific sentence..?

There was a sharp pain in his head. He couldn’t remember anything.
Is he supposed to remember something?

This woman in front of him…His mother?
Probably not.

He glanced around sleepily.

…is he in space perhaps? It didn’t look like space.

A pressuring eye gazed upon him. Like a shaded, black, ripped star. A black hole, staring so intensely at him as if expecting something repaid, something to be remembered. Debris floated behind him, some filled with glowing violet substance, while others looked like broken statues.

His head aches. It rang ever so loudly. He winced and closed his eyes. Perhaps the ‘eye’ is not set for him to see.

The woman in front of him opened her optics, and he floated ever so closely to her.

Suddenly she plunged her hand into his chest.
But it doesn’t hurt. Like she ripped another dimension to get something.
He wished to see what had happened, but something refused him to open his eyelids. His body feels like a blob of solid slime. He can’t control it.

She moved her delicate hand, so that it intertwined with his own, new one. A burning sensation scorched its way through his palm. She held his hand tight and lifted it up.

He wanted to see her face.

She let his hand fall, and she pushed him away.

He felt himself fall slowly. He weakly opened his eyes, at least wanting to grasp what had just happened. Why did she push him? Did he do something wrong? What are the intense emotions of sadness and concern behind her eyes? Why does she have them?

The eye dispersed quickly, as if collapsing on itself. Shards of lookalike ice build up behind the woman block by block, making the area look ever so cold. She looked at him as he fell, a sad smile softly etched onto her face.

He reached up towards her. A mark of a frequency on his hand, it glows bright gold; the core of the burning feeling, the mark, shines. So brightly it almost blurs the view.
She seemed surprised that he reached his hand out towards her, she smiled softly at him, this time, holding a bit of fondness.

Then his falling speed increased drastically. He was forced to shut his eyes.

He felt himself warp into another space. A list of frequencies pierced his mind as he fell. It rang loudly in his ear, he felt like he was getting his mind ripped apart.

Freezing water clogged his breathing. He felt himself need to go up to the surface.

So he did. He swam up on instinct, strings of golden light guided him.

The entire world was upside down. It looked so beautiful, so serene.
So familiar, yet so strange.

His head was once pierced again by concurring ringing. He could feel himself black out from the pressure.

Fool… Kim…ja…

Kim Dokja. Wake up.
