“Do I… know you from somewhere?”
Her red eyes blink at her. Red, where they should be blue. She tilts her head, clueless and cute, and Mikan feels like she may cry.
She wants to hold her hand, cream skin on her chocolate. She wants to carress her face, have her nuzzle into it like she used to. She wants to kiss her, tender and sweet and real, she wants to bite.
She does none of that.
“No,” she answers, she lies, “I don't think we've met.”
(It's better this way. Right?)
Ryouko only blinks once more. Completely, totally oblivious.
