Work Text:
Wednesday had become accustomed to much following her relationship officially beginning with Enid Sinclair, some would say she had become accustomed to much regarding the werewolf even before they officially became an item.
Wednesday wouldn’t comment with a definitive yes or no answer, but some who had seen the beginning of their courtship definitely would argue that Wednesday was whipped long before they announced their relationship status.
Though they wouldn’t argue this around Wednesday herself, as they knew that was a definite way for the young Addams to issue a very detailed and evocative death threat.
Her attention was currently held on the book in her hands, yet her girlfriend was currently seated next to her. Enid’s legs wrapped around her as they both were on Wednesday’s bed, seemingly intent on claiming attention. Wednesday’s eyes were cantered dead onto the page she was up to, a well written if predictable and trope filled at times, mystery novel. Wednesday’s eyes travelled along the line she’d come to, when the arms that were wrapped around her shoulders tensed, a second later she felt Enid press her lips to her cheek, pulling the raven haired smaller girl (if by two inches) against her as the blonde draw out the kiss for several seconds before pulling back with a light but audible smack.
Wednesday could feel and smell the remnants of Enid’s garish lip-gloss on her cheek before she turned her attention back to her book.
It was only a few moments before she heard Enid huff lightly before she leaned forward again, this time unleashing a barrage of several kisses in rapid succession, running her hands up and down Wednesday’s arm she was still clutching.
“Enid, stop it.” Wednesday said firmly, glancing at her in her peripheral vision.
“But you’ve been reading for ages. Come on, let’s cuddle.” Enid said with a slight whine.
“You’re already clinging to me, isn’t that enough. Besides, if I keep reading at my current pace I can finish the rest of this book before midnight.” Wednesday said as she turned her attention back to the book.
This didn’t satisfy Enid, who proceeded to lean further onto Wednesday, resting her head on her shoulder. Wednesday’s cheek twitched slightly when she felt the slow gust of air that began to blow onto her left ear. That added with the scent of strawberries made it clear Enid had upped her bid for attention.
But Wednesday refused to give in, never breaking her gaze from the book as she turned the page, as her eyes began once again making their way down the text, she wasn't going to give into Enid’s bratty demands for attention right now. As much as she had grown to love the Werewolf, an act she never would have believed before meeting the girl herself, having spent years adamantly denying any intention of winding up like her parents.
And to this day, her use of the L world was kept primarily between herself and Enid. When others dared ask about their relationship status and tried to stick their noses into her personal life for gossip, or ‘wanting to know how you’re doing’, Wednesday either avoided the subject, gave them a generic answer, or threatened them.
And so, as much as she loved the Werewolf, Wednesday was still not as itching for physical affection as her girlfriend was by far.
That’s not to say she didn’t take small comforts and occasional intimate embraces were out of the questions. Some nights Enid would cuddle into Wednesday for hours, listening to music even if most of the time through headphones as Enid did not share the same musical tastes she did. Other nights or afternoons spent spooning in bed, or Enid sitting on Wednesday’s lap while she wrote her novel.
An act which was slightly uncomfortable and hard to work around, this being partially solved when Enid realized her heavier weight, something that became even more so after she fully wolfed out, her body while not changing much on the outside had done so on the inside. Her muscles and tissue are now denser and stronger, but also heavier.
Now it was always Wednesday sitting in her lap whenever they engaged in that act.
Even if Enid missed the feeling of being in hers.
Her body weight was distributed on the bed, but her strong arms were still clutching Wednesday to her, the blonde’s body heat which normally was a welcome night time accompaniment was now feeling close to making Wednesdays sweat.
Wednesday remained strong, keeping her focus trained on the ever flowing words. The occasional whines coming from the blonde did cause Wednesday’s left eye to twitch. She still refused to give her the attention she desired, there would be time for that later.
She was about to turn the page again when Enid again returned her lips to Wednesday’s cheek, which wasn’t anything remarkably surprising till she felt Enid suddenly run her tongue along her skin.
Wednesday paused at the feeling.
She didn’t freeze, Wednesday Addams didn’t freeze, she merely took measured calculative pauses.
Before she could begin to form a solid thought, she felt the feeling once again as Enid ran her tongue from the bottom of Wednesday’s jaw along to her earlobe. Nipping the bundle of sensitive skin lightly and causing Wednesday to shudder ever so slightly, goosebumps spread across her body.
Wednesday’s mouth opened slightly, her gaze now looking forward as she felt Enid continue to lick her repeatedly. She could feel and hear the blonde also sniffing her hair as she went up and down.
After several seconds Wednesday finally made a move, turning suddenly towards Enid. Which wasn’t the best course as Enid, still in mid lick, continued her course and ran her tongue up to Wednesday's forehead.
Enid’s eyes were wide, a matching expression of shock on both their faces before Wednesday’s eyes narrowed and she brought her hand up, using her sleeve to wipe Enid’s saliva off her face.
Another side effect of her fully awakened werewolf state, Enid produced a copious amount of viscous saliva.
Upon wiping herself clean, Wednesday levelled her girlfriend with a look of confused consternation. Enid had since sucked her tongue back in her mouth, and her cheeks were quickly reddening as she came to full realization of what she’d done.
“W-Willa….I…” Enid tried to say before Wednesday spoke up.
“What was that, Enid?”
Enid knew that tone, it was the serious tone, the ‘don’t play games with me’ tone, the ‘be honest with me’ tone.
And Enid wouldn’t lie if she said it didn’t get her inner submissive side, her Omega wolf mentality raring under her skin. Making her want to drop down and show her belly, to show her submission and love to the woman who claimed her heart completely, Wednesday Addams wasn’t a wolf, but she was Enid’s Alpha.
“I-I…Well…It’s uh..” Enid stumbled over herself, before gulping at Wednesday’s gaze, now sporting a raised brow.
“...It’s a wolf thing,” Enid said after several more seconds of silence. And it was almost like Wednesday’s raised brow got somehow stronger.
“It is!” Enid said, her voice rising in pitch as she nodded earnestly.
“An urge to, well…Lick and taste, and in some cases clean our mate’s, it mostly is something that comes out when we're in private.” she said, her tone lowering and taking on a shyer tone.
“And why didn’t you mention this….additional urge before.” Wednesday asked, noting the genuine look of remorse and embarrassment on Enid’s face.
“I thought…Well, I thought you’d think it was off putting, or gross, or-” Enid began to ramble before Wednesday shushed her with a finger to her lips.
The darker haired girl internally grimaced again at the feeling of Enid's lip-gloss, but didn’t let it stop her as she spoke up.
“Do not think to presume what I would find off putting or not. Have you seen me so much as cringe at any of your new traits, or old ones for that matter, since your first time Wolfing Out?” Wednesday asked firmly, causing Enid to slowly shake her head.
“No, because as long as you were open and upfront about these changes in their relation to me, and our relationship. I would listen to you and talk about it like a mature person, and not simply mock or persecute you for changes to your body or your urges, both primal and otherwise.” Wednesday said sternly.
“I love you, Enid Sinclair, I cannot express the depth, or weight of that love in words despite my usual affinity as a wordsmith, I know I would still not be able to interpret even a miniscule amount of the encompassing whole of my feelings for you.” Wednesday said as on the outside her expression was firm and unwavering.
But on the inside Wednesday cursed herself for having messed up.
She must have somehow misread another signal or not seen Enid’s desire to indulge her urge, especially when it was a safe, albeit messy, urge. Had Enid not felt like she could trust her with this? What had she done to make her think she couldn’t trust her with this information?
Had she said something?
Not said something?
As her mind went through rapid mental gymnastics of her obvious mistake, she was interrupted and brought back to the present as Enid let out a low whine, Wednesday saw Enid’s eyes welling up with tears and again was worried about what she’d done, until Enid barreled forward and hugging her tightly, Wednesday almost knocked off the bed and only saved from falling by Enid’s vice like grip, pulling her back up to a sitting position as she continued to embrace her.
“Oh Willa….” Enid exclaimed as she could feel Wednesday’s sleeves becoming wet with her tears, but she didn’t care, she was so happy.
“I love you too!”
She’d been foolish to hide this other additional change to herself, she’d been caught in thinking about the consequences, and mentally calculating if this would the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back, she knew Wednesday didn’t always agree or like going along with some of the things Enid wanted, but that she did anyway for the sake of their relationship.
But in the back of her mind there had been a growing feeling of doubt, how long would it take before she became too much for Wednesday. How long until she pushed her too far, or did something that caused her to break up with her.
But as she heard the impassioned words coming from her Mate’s mouth, she couldn’t help but feel all her worries and fears wash away, and a feeling of warmth taking their place, before engulfing her and releasing all her emotions.
Wednesday returned the gesture as she moved her arms up and around Enid, allowing her to cry on her shoulder for what felt like several minutes till Enid pulled back, sniffling slightly and wiping her eyes and nose on her sleeve, making sure to also clear away the tears and mucus from her scars.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner, I guess I was just worried it might be too much, like maybe this would be the final straw.” Enid said before her expression broke out again into a wide grin.
“But I should have told you, I know you love me and I love you, so much. I promise I’ll be more open about this kind of stuff when it concerns the two of us.” Enid said as she continued to smile at her girlfriend.
Wednesday was still looking at her with a look of concern and confusion before she replied.
“So…You’re ok. We’re ok?” she asked, looking at Enid’s expression and internally hoping what she thought she was picking up from Enid’s words, were correct.
“Of course, we’re ok.” Enid said as she ran a hand down Wednesday’s cheek, making her pale cheeks take on an ever so slight pink tinge that was nearly impossible to see, but visible to Enid’s Wolf enhanced sight.
Wednesday was the one to initiate the embrace this time, leaning her head under Enid’s chin as she nodded into her neck.
“Ok…I’m glad.” she said softly, causing Enid to smile as she leaned down and kissed the top of her head.
“I love you Wendy.”
As soon as those words left her mouth however, Enid was suddenly met with the gaze of Wednesday who looked up at her from her position.
“Never.Call.Me.Wendy!” she bit out, her lips snarling slightly as she enunciated causing Enid to nod, but a smile still present on her face as she did.
“Ok, Willa.” Enid said, causing Wednesday’s cheeks to twitch again, knowing it was the one nickname Wednesday allowed her to call her. Despite Wednesday herself having multiple pet-names for her in a number of languages. When Enid had realized the familiar trait carried on from her parents, she asked why she used multiple nicknames instead of one or two. Wednesday had declared such trivial numbers were insulting to her feelings for Enid, and swore to use an assortment of growing names of affection.
“I love you too, Mon Chiot.” she whispered into her ear, enjoying the feeling of Enid’s body intertwined with hers as she continued to hold her.
She didn’t even mind when Enid began licking her again.
