He forgot immediately what he'd said.
"Do it again," he commanded.
"Do what?" Paul asked, confused.
"Laugh."
Paul's eyebrows raised in disbelief before his expression smoothed out. "If you want to hear it again, you'll have to surprise me again."
"I can do that," Feyd promised.
And the next day, he did. Paul tried to stifle the noise this time by covering his mouth, but Feyd yanked his hand away with a murmured "Don't," and Paul laughed again. Paul smiled at him. Feyd couldn't remember anyone else ever smiling at him with such genuine warmth.
"Alright," Paul said. "Alright, Feyd."
