Chapter 1
The moment the air balloon touched down on the soil of Elbaf, Vivi could hardly wait to step out. A gust of cold wind rushed through her blue hair as she descended, her heart pounding in anticipation.
She had followed every rumor, every scrap of information, just to reach this moment. The Navy had unwittingly tipped her off—Luffy and his crew had escaped Egghead, aided by giants. That meant one thing: they were heading to Elbaf. And if the Straw Hats were here… so was she.
Nami.
Vivi bit her lip, steadying herself. It had been so long. Too long.
Morgans, still perched inside the balloon, cackled. “Go on, Princess! Make it a story worth printing!”
Ignoring him, Vivi pushed forward. The land of giants was vast, filled with towering trees, broad roads, and homes carved into mountains. It was breathtaking, but her focus remained singular.
Then she saw them.
The Straw Hat Pirates were gathered in an open clearing, campfires crackling and laughter ringing in the air. Luffy sat cross-legged, devouring a massive chunk of meat. Zoro leaned against a barrel with a bottle in hand. Usopp animatedly spoke to a group of young giants, no doubt spinning a tall tale. Sanji was setting a lavish table of food, Brook played his violin, Chopper danced, and Robin watched them all with an amused smile.
And in the middle of them—Nami.
The navigator stood with her arms crossed, hair catching the firelight appearing golden, her expression both exasperated and fond as she scolded Luffy for something. She looked beautiful, just as Vivi remembered.
Vivi’s breath caught.
Then, as if sensing her gaze, Nami turned. Their eyes met.
For a second, the noise of Elbaf faded.
Then Nami’s lips parted in shock. “Vivi?”
Before Vivi could respond, she found herself tackled into a tight embrace, Nami’s arms wrapping around her in an instant. Vivi gasped, her hands instinctively holding onto Nami’s waist.
“You idiot,” Nami’s voice was thick with emotion, muffled against Vivi’s shoulder. “Where the hell have you been?”
A breathless laugh escaped Vivi. “I—”
“Never mind, I don’t care,” Nami cut her off, gripping her tighter. “You’re here. That’s all that matters.”
Vivi felt her heart stutter. Nami’s warmth, her scent, the way she clung to her—it was overwhelming.
She had made it.

Chapter 2
The moment Nami pulled away, Vivi barely had a second to breathe before another impact hit her.
“Vivi!”
Luffy crashed into her, arms wrapping tightly around her waist. “You’re here! You’re really here!” His face pressed against her shoulder, laughing as if this was the best surprise of his life. “I missed you!”
Vivi let out a small laugh, warmth spreading through her chest. “I missed you too, Luffy.”
Before she could say anything else, a blur of brown fur rushed in—Chopper, who latched onto her leg with a happy cry. “Vivi! You’re alive! I was so worried!”
“Of course I’m alive!” She crouched down, cupping his tiny face with both hands. “And look how much you’ve grown!”
“Obviously!” Chopper sniffled, puffing out his chest, only for tears to spill from his eyes. “I thought I’d never see you again!”
“Vivi-chan, my love!”
Sanji whirled in, dropping to one knee and taking her hand in both of his. Hearts practically burst from his eyes as he gazed up at her. “I’ve dreamed of this moment! To once again bask in your beauty—”
Usopp shoved him aside. “Hey, we missed her too, Sanji!” He grinned, arms crossing.
Zoro, leaning casually against a nearby barrel, gave a simple nod. “Took you long enough.” But despite his usual stoicism, Vivi caught the unmistakable relief in his expression.
Vivi smiled, placing a hand on her hip. “Well, you all certainly didn’t make it easy, running all over the world.”
Usopp laughed, rubbing the back of his head. “Can’t argue with that.”
“Everyone…” Her throat tightened as she looked at them, all the warmth and familiarity hitting her at once. These people—this crew—they were her home more than anywhere else.
Luffy grinned widely. “So? What brings you here? You’re not just visiting, right?”
At that, the lightness in Vivi’s expression dimmed. She inhaled sharply, her hands clenching at her sides. “No. I’m not just visiting.”
The others stilled, sensing the shift in her tone.
Vivi took a steadying breath. “I escaped from Mariejoa during the Reverie.”
Silence.
Nami’s eyes widened. “Escaped?”
Vivi nodded. “My father…” Her voice wavered, but she pushed through. “King Cobra was killed there.”
Luffy’s face darkened, his hands balling into fists. “…The World Government.”
Vivi swallowed hard. “Yes. And if they could do that to him, they won’t stop. It’s not safe to return to Alabasta—not yet.” She met each of their gazes, her voice firm. “That’s why I came here. I want to stay with you. I want to fight with you.”
Nami’s breath hitched.
“I won’t just sit back while the people responsible for my father’s death go unpunished,” Vivi continued. “Until the World Government is defeated, I won’t be safe. Alabasta won’t be safe.” Her hands trembled, but her resolve didn’t waver. “So, if you’ll have me… I want to be an official member of the Straw Hat Pirates.”
For a moment, no one moved.
Then Luffy grinned, stretching his arms out toward her. “Vivi… you were always one of us!”
And just like that, he pulled her into another crushing hug. The others erupted into cheers, voices overlapping as they welcomed her—really welcomed her—back into their crew.

Chapter 3
The moment Luffy pulled away, a new voice rang out.
“Yohohoho! So this is the famous Princess Vivi! A pleasure to meet you, young lady!”
Vivi turned to see the living skeleton bowing deeply, a cane in one hand and a violin in the other. “Oh! You must be… Brook?”
“The very same! And might I say, you are just as radiant as they say! Ah, but I must ask—” He leaned in slightly. “Would you permit me to see your—”
Sanji’s foot connected with Brook’s skull before he could finish. “Don’t you dare finish that sentence, bonehead!”
Vivi stifled a giggle.
A large figure stepped forward next, clad in a Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses, arms crossed with a confident grin. “And I’m Franky, the shipwright of this fine crew! Welcome aboard, Princess!” He struck a dramatic pose. “And let me tell you—joining the Straw Hats? That’s super!”
Vivi smiled warmly. “It’s wonderful to meet you, Franky.”
Lastly, a broad, blue-skinned fishman approached, his expression calm yet kind. “I am Jinbei. Helmsman of the Straw Hats.” He gave her a small nod. “I’ve heard much about you.”
“I’ve heard of your strength and honor,” she said sincerely. “It’s an honor to meet you.”
“The honor is mine,” Jinbei replied, a note of approval in his voice.
The night soon gave way to celebration. Food, drinks, music—Elbaf rang with laughter and joy as the Straw Hats welcomed Vivi back in the only way they knew how.
During the celebrations Vivi turned to see Robin standing nearby, arms folded, her usual calm smile in place.
“I must say, this is quite the turn of events.”
Robin’s smile didn’t falter. “There are a few thinks I should clarify. I had my reasons for working with Crocodile, just as I had my reasons for leaving him. But the truth is, this crew saved me, just as they did you. And I am truly sorry for all the suffering my work caused you and your people.”
Vivi studied her for a moment before slowly nodding. “Then I’m glad you’re here too.”
Robin’s smile softened. “Likewise, Princess.”
As the celebration wound down and the fire dimmed, most of the crew had already drifted off to sleep, scattered around the camp. Luffy was sprawled out on the grass, snoring loudly. Usopp and Chopper were huddled under a blanket, and Sanji had passed out against a barrel after one too many drinks. Even Robin had turned in for the night, leaving only the quiet crackling of the embers and the distant sound of waves against the shore.
Vivi found herself alone by the dieing embers—until a familiar presence joined her.
The navigator sat beside her without a word, the embers illuminating her face just enough to make out the uncertainty in her expression.
For a while, neither of them spoke. The air between them was thick with unspoken words, so much time lost between them.
Finally, Vivi broke the silence. “I missed you.”
Nami let out a breath, hugging her knees. “Yeah.” A pause. “Me too.”
“I knew you’d find us,” Nami murmured. “I don’t know how, but… I knew.”
Vivi smiled faintly. “Was it because of the newspaper?”
“Not just that.” Nami turned her head slightly, studying her. “It was because you always come back to the people who matter to you.”
Vivi’s heart skipped.
Nami exhaled softly, glancing up at the stars. “I understand why you stayed in Alabasta back then. It’s your home, your people. But…” Her voice dropped just a little. “Are you really staying with us now?”
Vivi knew it wasn’t really a question. Nami had seen the way she looked at them—at her—when she said the words ‘I want to stay with you’.
But even so, Vivi wanted to say it again.
“Yes,” she said, voice steady. “I am.”
Nami closed her eyes for a moment, as if letting the words settle into her bones. Then she smiled—small, barely noticeable, but warm.
“Good,” she murmured. “Then I won’t let you go this time.”
Vivi’s breath caught. She turned to face her fully, but Nami was already looking back at the ocean, a quiet contentment in her expression.
Vivi smiled to herself, the last of her uncertainties melting away.
She was home.

Chapter 4
Vivi let the silence stretch between them for a moment longer before shifting slightly, leaning her weight against Nami’s side. Nami didn’t move away—if anything, Vivi could feel her body relax under the touch.
Slowly, Vivi reached out, placing her hand over Nami’s. Her fingers rested lightly at first, hesitant, but when Nami didn’t pull away, she let them settle more firmly.
Nami glanced down at their hands, then back up at Vivi, her expression unreadable. “…You’re really staying,” she murmured, as if saying it out loud made it more real.
Vivi gave a small nod, her thumb brushing over Nami’s knuckles. “I am.”
For a while, they just sat there, hands touching, bodies close. The warmth between them was subtle but steady, like the embers of the dying fire behind them.
“…I worried about you,” Nami admitted, her voice quieter now. “After Alabasta. I knew you’d be okay—you’re strong. But still…” Her fingers curled slightly under Vivi’s. “I kept wondering if you were happy.”
Vivi’s grip on her hand tightened for a second. “I tried to be.”
Nami turned her head slightly, her sharp eyes scanning Vivi’s face. “But?”
Vivi sighed, tilting her head back toward the sky. “But I missed this. All of you. You.” Her voice softened. “More than I ever thought I could.”
Nami swallowed, glancing away toward the stars. “…You have a habit of saying things like that so easily.”
Vivi tilted her head toward her. “Does it bother you?”
Nami let out a breath that was almost a laugh. “No.” She squeezed Vivi’s hand slightly. “Just catches me off guard.”
Vivi smiled. “Then I’ll keep doing it.”
Nami finally turned back to her, lips quirking into something small but undeniably fond. “…You better.”
Vivi shifted slightly, turning so she could see Nami’s face more clearly. The fire’s dying embers cast a soft glow over her, but it was the moonlight that caught in her hair, tracing silver over orange. She looked peaceful like this, but there was something else, too. A quiet kind of longing.
Vivi felt it mirrored in herself. Her fingers tightened gently around Nami’s.
Vivi’s gaze flickered to her lips—just for a second—but Nami caught it. A flicker of something crossed her expression, a silent question that Vivi answered by leaning in.
She moved slowly, giving Nami the chance to stop her. But Nami didn’t pull away.
Instead, she met her halfway.
Their lips brushed, barely a whisper of contact at first. A soft warmth, hesitant but real. When neither of them moved away, Vivi pressed in just a little more, deepening the kiss into something surer, something that tasted like the salt of the sea and the warmth of a long-awaited return.
Nami’s fingers curled against Vivi’s, her other hand ghosting up to rest lightly against Vivi’s arm. It was simple, quiet—no rush, no urgency. Just the two of them, beneath the stars, beneath the endless sky.
When they finally parted, Vivi stayed close, their foreheads nearly touching.
Nami let out a small, breathy laugh. “That was overdue.”
Vivi smiled. “A little.”
Nami gave her hand one last squeeze before tugging her gently down to the blanket-covered ground. “Come on. Get some sleep.”
Vivi let herself be pulled in, curling up beside Nami, their fingers still loosely intertwined.
As she closed her eyes, the sound of the waves filled her ears, steady and constant, like a promise.
