Work Text:

Stiles sighed heavily, hoping he wouldn't faint because of the blood, but it needed to be done.

It's the only way to save his boyfriend from bad omens.

“What are you doing?” Derek asked with concerned, noticing the knife in Stiles' hand.

“Stiles, why do you have a knife, and why are we near the Nemeton?”

“Do you trust me?” Stiles asked.

“I do. Now for the love of God, what’s going on Stiles?” Derek replied.

“Come closer, Der, and after the ritual, I’ll explain, I promise,” Stiles answered.

“Okay, I’ll hold you to it.”

Stiles spoke in Latin as he make a blood oath, their bloody hands held together as the knife fell on the floor, Derek could feel tingling in his body and then everything were blurry.

Derek woke up hazy on the grass, he felt funny, the alpha looked around, remembered that he wasn’t alone, seemed surprised to see Stiles watching him with concern in his gold-silver eyes.

“What are you?” Derek asked, standing slowly and walking toward his boyfriend, trying to see clearly after what happened.

“I’m special, more than you know it,” Stiles said, smiling wickedly toward his boyfriend.

“I know, you are my special boyfriend, but what are you?” Derek confirmed, and asked, not getting anything through his werewolf’s eyes.

“I don’t know, just feel special, everything is glowing, even you, having an halo now,” Stiles said, observing his boyfriend and added, “You are safe, no one can hurt you, not even raising a hand or shoot at you.”

“Stiles, what did you do?” Derek asked with concern marked his face.

“I did what needed to be done!”

“Which is?”

Stiles bent to collect the knife he dropped through the ritual and handed it to Derek, “With this knife, we bonded, have a blood oath, and you also mine forever, also with a black magic I did everything to keep your safe, I guess in return I gave myself power, and with great power comes great responsibility.”

Derek sighed heavily for the last line his boyfriend will also find light in dark situation.

“You used black magic? Do you know how dangerous this stuff is?” Derek asked as he realized what Stiles said.

“I know, and I’m okay with it, and so should you, I did it for you, Der, I just want you to be safe.” Stiles said, touching Dere’s face with his hand.

“I’m werewolf, I can take care of myself.”

“Yes, but seeing you so close to death after what the Argent did was unbearable. Your life meant everything, so I had to intervene for us. Your life must go on.”

“I love you, Derek.”

Derek let out a breath, watching his boyfriend, sacrificing this much for him, even using black magic, which he never think of it, all for him.

“I love you too, Stiles, just promise me you won’t use black magic again.”

“I promised,” Stiles said, and added, “Are we cool?”

“Yes, you all mine, forever.” Derek replied.

Derek looked at Stiles’ hand, searching for the blood, which seemed vanished, and so on his hand.

“Kiss me…” Stiles asked, his mouth partially opened.

“That was my next move,” Derek said, chuckling before kissing his boyfriend.

Derek felt tingling, and he was lightheaded, feeling afloat as he looked at Stiles as the kiss continue, noticing how glowing intensify and the heat that came from him.

Derek broke the kiss.

“Why did you stop?”

“Stiles, there’s something wrong, I felt like I’m burning.” Derek explained.

“Oh, maybe I need to check what was written in the book, cause I only focused on the part of blood oath and binding together, to keep a partner safe, I recite it.”

“I think I’ll come with you to Deaton, maybe he knows something about it.” Derek agreed.

“Let’s go home, I’m sure that the pack enjoyed with a few minutes of quiet.” Stiles suggested.

Derek check his watch, and then glanced at Stiles again with sheer of shock.

“Few minutes? Few minutes? It’s been two hours.”
