Chan refuses to take no for an answer, so what happens when they voyage out back to the city of vampires and Chan strays away from the group? Did he have a well thought out plan?....possibly. But what he didn't expect was to be captured within the first few minutes of his search and rescue mission, and he sure as hell didn't expect to wake up in a facility dressed in baby clothes with a vampire cooing down at him.

Chapter Text

Vampires have always lived in the shadows, hidden away from the human eye. There are a lot of them, and they've been around for centuries just observing. Soon enough, they get tired of it, tired of hiding amongst the humans, especially when these humans are ruining the earth. Sure enough, they step up and decide to take over.

It was a quick and easy war against the humans, though they would not discredit the humans, for they did put up a valiant effort but were no match for the vampires. After the war, the vampires rebuilt the cities up and exiled the humans out. They were pushed to the outskirts of the city but they weren’t left with anything. The vampires had built the humans their own town and provided facilities within this town. For example, humans could sell their blood to earn money or any other kind of goods to live off of. It was up to these humans to upkeep this town and whether or not they chose to do that was on them.

It had been years since the war had ended and the town for the humans was in shambles, of course, there was a select group of humans that had decided that they wanted to be in charge. These humans have decided to place strict laws for the townspeople, like an extreme tax that required humans to give those in charge half of their earnings after giving blood, leaving people with little to nothing to live off of.

Bang Chan is a 19-year-old boy scraping by day to day. Chan was an orphan, his father died in the war and his mother had never been in his life. A group of rebels had taken Chan and his younger brother under their wings, they raised and mentored them. The rebels believed that vampires had no right to exile humans and leave them with little to nothing. They believed that humans should fight and take back what was originally theirs.

The rebels would select a group of people every 3 months to journey to the city. The main goal was to gather intel, though sometimes things could get out of hand and some of the rebels would get violent, trying to fight these vampires and in turn giving away their cover,

This unfortunately is what happened to the last group that had ventured out, much to Chan’s horror. Chan’s younger brother had been chosen to venture out with the group. Chan had begged and pleaded with the leader to let him go instead of his brother. Alas, Chan’s brother was 18 and of age so there wasn’t much room for argument.

Once news had gotten back that the voyaging group had been caught, Chan lashed out at their leader and tried to get physical with him. That had earned him a few new bruises and a few days of starvation as punishment.

After a month or so Chan had begged their leader to let him go on the next voyage to the city which he had been denied much to his disliking, The next group had left on their voyage and Chan knew they weren't going to look for his brother, they never looked for the people who went missing on these voyages. These nights Chan lays in bed restless, hoping to whatever being above that his brother is still alive.

Today was the day Chan had finally been picked to go to the city with a group. He had been waiting for this day since his brother went missing. As Chan packed his bag on the ground, putting his essential things into it, he knew he wouldn’t be coming back tonight. He planned on separating from the group once he got to the city.

A pair of boots trudge through the room before stopping in front of him. The blonde looks up at his leader, acknowledging him “Chris when you get into the city I expect you not to do anything to jeopardize my team” Juwon, his leader, says knowingly “Your brother is gone and I don’t need you out here playing hero do you hear me?”

Chan grits his teeth and refrains himself from snapping at the other “Of course sir, I understand” he says softly as he goes back to packing his bag. With that Juwon walks away and Chan zips up his backpack. The leader didn’t need to know that he didn’t plan on listening to him, he didn’t need to know that the moment the brunette stepped foot in the city he would be going to split from the group.

Split from the group he did indeed. The moment Chan stepped into the city, he waited for the perfect opportunity to take off. When the group had started arguing about the plan of action, he had slipped away into the shadows and pulled his hood over his head. The boy walked along the wall of the dark, wet, and abandoned alleyway. Apparently, it was a frequent checkpoint that the resistance visited. This piece of information should have raised alarms in Chan's mind because what idiots would continue to frequent the same spot in enemy territory….then again if they’ve got away with it for so long maybe there isn’t any danger right?

Wrong

As soon as the brunette stepped out of the alleyway and into the city, he was met face to face…well face to chest with what Chan can only assume to be some kind of officer or some type of security guard. Chan takes a step back and looks up to make eye contact with the officer.

The brunette felt his breath catch in his throat, he had heard stories of how some vampires held certain beauty to them but those stories didn’t do them any justice. In front of him was a tall brunette who had his long brunette hair tied back into a ponytail. His face could belong to one of a model and his beauty marks only added to his beauty. Chan snapped out of his stupor and took another step away, ready to run.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you, this whole alleyway is surrounded, we’ve been waiting for the next time your group decided to show your faces. The officer said.

Chan could feel his heart pounding in his chest and his breath quicken, this wasn’t fair, he hadn’t even had the chance to search for his brother. If he was caught now he probably would never see Changbin again. With this thought in mind, Chan manages to take the officer by surprise run right past the officer, and take off down the street. He could faintly hear the officer let out an exasperated sigh but he didn’t hear footsteps following his so he chanced a glance behind him and saw him standing there with his arms crossed. This confused him but that was before he ran into what felt like a brick wall, as he fell backward he caught a glimpse of what he ran into, or well, another officer. That was the last this he saw before the back of his head unfortunately made contact with concrete.

The world went black.
