Sighing, Henry Bowers was making his way to the local park, tired of his father it was a place he went to often. The dirty blonde looked around the entrance to the park, seeing if anyone was there, until he saw a shadow on the bench nearest to the gate semi-hid behind a tree. Henry was getting ready to turn back around til he saw who exactly it was, it was Bill Denbrough, a kid he ruthlessly bullied along with his friends. When he snapped out of his daze he was already walking towards the stuttering kid, making the kid turn to his direction as he realized it was too late to turn around and he continued. "B-bowers." The brunette stuttered once, he seemed to be controlling it better than before, how happy for him.
Henry took a seat next to Bill on the bench facing away from the kid, the kid immediately hiding something from the older. "Billy," The dirty blonde started, pausing. "What are you doing out this late?" The older sounded really worried, surprisingly. "None of your business." Bill replied with an angry tone, trying to hide whatever was in his hand better. Henry turned to look at the kid finally, seeing he looked like he was dazed, like he wasn't there. "Are you okay?" Henry said after a few minutes of silence, Bill's eyes quickly turned to him, wide-eyed he looked confused, shuffling something in his hidden hand. "What do you have, Billy?"
The brunette leaned away from him, clenching his fist that was in his lap. Henry sighed before grabbing Bill roughly, reaching to his hidden hand pulling whatever was in his hand out of his grasp. "Bill... You took health freaks painkillers?" The dirty blondes tone seemed serious as he read the label on the bottle, he pulled the bottle away as Bill tried to snatch it from him, Henry turned his gaze back to him. "How many did you take?" The kid looked like he was about to cry but he instead face planted into the older ones chest, going limp. "Billy?" The older one shook him, dropping the bottle on the floor as the kid started to foam out of the mouth.
Henry scoops the kid into his arms, cradling him as he runs to the closest house.
Everything else was a blur as Henry was now sitting in a hospital room with Bill's parents waiting for the kid to wake up, suddenly the door to the room opened. "Where is he!?" Richie Tozier yells, spotting Bill as he looks to his left, running to the side of the bed. "Is... is he okay?" Richie looks towards Bill's parents as they nod, Richie is now aware of his surroundings as he spots Henry Bowers sitting in a chair close to Bill's hospital bed. "Why are you here?" Bill's father replies almost instantly. "He saved Billy." Henry doesn't move or answer as he continues to stare at Bill laying in the bed with wide eyes, leaning back in the chair with his arms crossed. "I'm sorry."
"What?" Richie looks at the dirty blonde.
"I'm sorry." Tears are trying to escape his eyes as he stares at the unconscious kid that lays still. "About what, Bowers?" The kid in glasses says sternly, tears slightly falling from his eyes. "Everything, for being a dick to you, all of you. You guys don't deserve that. I ruined everything for you guys." Henry clenches his arms, digging his nails into his arms. "I can't forgive you now, maybe if you tried I might." Henry smiled at him as he stood, reaching to the other side of the bed to ruffle his hair. "I'm gonna get something to eat, anyone want anything?" The dirty blonde asks as he digs his wallet out of his back pocket. "Pizza." Richie adds, staring blankly at Bill. "We're good, thank you Henry." The couple smiles, Henry smiles back, why were they treating him so nice?
As Henry makes it back to the room the rest of the Losers are there, staring at him. "Bowers." Ben looks scared, he tenses. "Hey man, thanks for the pizza." Richie walks up to him and grabs his slice from his hand as the rest look confused.
Maybe he could be forgiven. Maybe he can be a better person.
