Can't Wait To Get You Back To My Place

Summary:

With Ken and Momo now together, finding time for themselves is hard to come by.

OR

The different times and meanings behind "I can't wait to get you back to my place."

A continuation of When It Rains, set before Ken and Momo move in together.

Notes:

As promised, I'm back on my bullshit, lol. Because of the overwhelmingly positive comments I received from Rains, I got to finishing the first of a few one-shots set in the Rains-verse. I will go back and link this fic at the end of chapter twelve of Rains but you should be able to click next work in the series.

Thanks again to the Mokarun server for helping me brainstorm this one! I hope to get the next one up sometime next week. Happy Sunday!

Work Text:

Apartment 3B in the Westside of Kamigoe city is full of life once again. Ken enjoys having a nice night in with his parents on their first day back at their newly remodeled apartment. It's so new, it still has that freshly painted smell to it.

As much as he loves his parents and spending time eating together for once, he's feeling homesick despite being actually home. Who is he kidding? His home is with Momo. Is it too early to say that? They've only been dating for a few weeks now. He continues to pick at his food, half-listening to his parents' conversation.

“Earth to Ken? You there, bud?” Tadashi waves his hand in front of Ken's eyes.

“Oh, sorry. I spaced out. I'm just tired.” Ken lied quickly, cheeks turning pink.

“Anyway, as I was saying, space cadet, your mother and I will be heading to the airport Saturday night for a conference in Berlin. You're in charge while we're gone. No wild house parties, got it?” Tadashi ruffled Ken's hair.

“Wait, already?! But we just moved back in!” Ken replied incredulously.

“Duty calls, kiddo. If you're feeling lonely, why not invite someone over?” Tadashi suggested. “I'm surprised you didn't invite your girlfriend over for dinner tonight.”

“She has work and is very sorry she couldn't be here. Maybe when you guys get back, we can.”

“Oh, we'd love to have her over sometime,” Hanako gushes.

Ken doesn’t even remember the last time Momo visited before the remodel nor does he want to go back to living in a semi-empty apartment again. He got too used to the beautiful chaos that is the Ayase residence. “Hey Dad, is it okay if I have some company over while you guys are gone?”

“Yeah, just as long as you guys clean up after yourselves and aren't too loud. Gotta ask the boss lady if she's fine with it first.”

Hanako playfully shoves her husband. “Of course, I am! Ken's a good boy. Who are you thinking of having over while we're gone?”

“Mostly Momo and Jiji. Maybe Sakata. He got some new models he's been meaning to show me. I'll ask when everyone's free and we'll get pizza or something.”

“I see no problem with that.” His mother smiled brightly. “Ken, sweetie, you better hurry up, Momo gets out of work soon.”

Ken picks up the pace and shoves his dinner in his mouth. Once he's done, he brushes his teeth, then heads out.

“Bye! I'll be back in about an hour!” He texts Momo on his way to the cafe.

Ken shoved his phone back in his pocket, face burning red hot from embarrassment. It's not his fault that he isn't caught up on texting etiquette! Over a year ago, he never had anyone to talk to except for his parents! Thank God for Momo. He'd be lost without her, although he hates making a fool out of himself in front of her. It would have been worse if they weren't dating.

It's not long until Momo walks out of the cafe, smiling as she wraps her arms around Ken and kisses him. He still gets bashful any time they engage in any public displays of affection that aren't hand holding. Momo peppers him with additional kisses, making his face and neck burn brighter than a stoplight.

“M-Miss Ayase! Stop! We're in public!” Ken stammered weakly.

“What, embarrassed to be seen with me or something?” Momo pouts.

“O-of course not! I’ve never been in a relationship before. I'm not used to doing couple stuff like being overly affectionate. I'm sorry, I'm just an awkward—”

“I know you're an awkward guy. That's one of the many things I love about you.” Momo interrupts to kiss him again. “You're so cute when you're all shy like that.”

 “You're incorrigible.”

“I know I'm incredible.” She replied cheekily.

“That’s not what I said and you know it!” Ken huffed before a small smile spread to his lips. “I guess you're pretty cute, though.”

“Great, I’m glad you agree!” Momo beams, taking his hand. “Let’s go!” The bright city lights give way to sparse country roads as they walk back to Momo’s house. They talk about everything and nothing all at once, enjoying each other’s company.

“Hey, so how’s it been being back at your apartment?” Momo asks, turning her head to look at Ken in the eye.

“Honestly, weird. Not only is it completely different now, it’s too quiet, even with my parents. I guess I got so used to living at your place. I kind of miss it.” Ken says earnestly, eyes shining with warmth. “Most of all, I miss living with you, Miss Ayase.” Momo’s cheeks turn pink.

“I miss it, too.” Momo twirls her hair with her free hand before adding, teasingly. “I thought you said you were gonna do a better job of calling me by my first name?”

“Sorry, old habits die hard. You’re one to talk, though,” Ken side-eyed Momo playfully. “You still call me Okarun.”

“If I remember correctly, I thought you said that you like it when I moaned your name,” Momo says seductively as Ken’s face became blood red. Even in the dark, Momo can tell that his whole body is flushed. She can also see the blood flow to his southern head too. She smirked in triumph. Her boyfriend is too easy to tease.

“I-I d-do.” Ken squeaked. “B-but that’s besides the point. I want you to call me Ken more often. You can still call me Okarun too, especially in front of our friends, but when we’re alone like this, I don’t know, it feels more intimate.”

“Speaking of intimacy, that’s another thing I miss about living with you, too,” Momo said suggestively, quirking an eyebrow and biting her lip. She can practically see Ken struggling with walking straight as his pants strained at his crotch. If they weren’t in the middle of the boonies, Momo would love to show how much she really missed her sweet, adorable boyfriend. Since they’ve started dating, finding time to engage in certain activities has been difficult, to say the least. Her house is unfortunately now off-limits, even if she were to spiritually cleanse it the next time her grandmother left her home alone.

“I swear, you like to rile me up for your own sick satisfaction. You’re a sadist, Mi–Momo.” Ken groused.

Momo smiles brightly at Ken. “Guilty as charged. You love it, though.” Momo says with a teasing lilt.

“You’ll be the death of me, I swear.” All Ken hears is Momo's snickering.

They arrive at the torii gate, saddened that they have to part. They hold each other's hands, staring into each other's eyes, not wanting to let go. “Hey, before I forget, I'll see if I can switch my Saturday with Ririna or maybe get out earlier so I can have dinner with your parents.”

“Oh, about that, they'll be on a flight to Berlin by then,” Ken uttered softly.

“Aw, that was the only day I wasn’t closing, though,” Momo whined. “Welp, can’t be helped.”

“I mean, you can still come over if you want on Saturday. You haven’t seen what it looks like after the remodel. I can’t wait to get you back to my place.” Ken says bashfully.

“First, the texts now inviting me over when your parents aren’t home? Wow, whatever are you insinuating, Okarun?” Momo said incredulously, taking in pure delight the way her boyfriend’s face turns scarlet under the outside porch light.

“JUST TO VISIT! I DON’T HAVE ANY ULTERIOR MOTIVES, I SWEAR!!” He screeched as Momo howled with laughter.

“Relax! I’m just messin’ with ya! You’re too easy, sometimes, I swear!” Momo wheezes. “Goodnight, Ken. I love you.” Momo kisses him sweetly, practically making him melt.

“I love you too, you tease,” Ken muttered under his breath before giving her a smirk, earning him a half-hearted shove.

“Shut up, you’re the tease.” Momo sticks her tongue out at Ken as he chuckles. “See you tomorrow!” She waved at him, smiling as radiant as ever.

Ken waves back, utterly and hopelessly, lovestruck. “See you tomorrow, Momo.” He doesn’t stop waving until she’s inside. God, he loves that girl.

Saturday rolls around quickly as Ken finishes up an early shift at the convenience store. He has a few hours to spare before he has to pick up Momo from work, so he might use the time to clean up a bit. Maybe they can have a nice quiet night in, either order takeout or cook dinner. He gets home and gets to work scrubbing down the counters, washing the floors, and dusting like a madman. He’s so preoccupied that he doesn’t even hear the knock at the door at first. It becomes louder the second time around, now followed by a resounding, “Okarun!” from his girlfriend. Ken flies to the door, swinging it open.

“Miss Ayase?! What are you doing here? I thought I was supposed to get you in three hours? I didn’t forget, did I?!” Ken blurts out, panicked.

“Oh, I got out early and wanted to surprise ya! I brought over food!” Momo offered a large takeout bag.

“Aw, thanks. I wish you had told me. I would at least have showered before you came over. Wanna come inside?” Ken takes the bag and kisses his girlfriend hello.

“Never thought you’d ask.” Momo kicks off her shoes, leaving them by the door. She’s impressed with what she sees so far. Ken was right, the place does look different. “Well, what are you standing around for? Give me the grand tour!”

“O-Okay.” Ken leads her to the kitchen first, setting their food on the new kitchen island with a marble countertop and dark kitchen cabinet drawers. Everything’s been replaced with brand-new stainless steel appliances and fixtures, giving the kitchen a sleek, modern feel. Momo lets out a low whistle.

“Wow, this looks great! Did you guys get new floors too?”

“Yeah, we did! My parents hated the carpet and went with a nice hardwood finish. If you thought the kitchen was nice, you should see the bathroom! They did a really good job in there, too! My parents wanted a jacuzzi bathtub and we added a separate shower.”

“I’d kill for lighting like that! I’m so jealous!” Momo complimented. “What about your room? Did you have anything done to it?

“Besides getting rid of the carpet? Oh, I wanted it painted, but other than that, it’s still the same.”

“Can I see?” Momo pleads with him, eyes sparkling.

“Sure, right this way.” Ken gently guides her to his room. Her fingers graze along with hallway walls, nails lightly scraping against them. Looks like he got a newer bed, much larger than what she previously remembered. Just enough space for two. Momo tells herself. A devilish idea comes to her mind.

“Wow, they really fixed it up really nice! Your place looks great!” Momo beams.

“Yeah, thanks—”

“Why don’t we see how sturdy the new walls and floor are?” Momo says while leaning against the wall in his room.

“Why would we—”

“I don’t think you heard me right, Ken.” Momo saunters her way to him, moving him closer to his bed, the back of his legs hitting it. “I want to christen every room in this apartment.” She pushes him to his mattress, his pupils blown out.  “Now strip.”

“Y–yes ma’am.” Ken sputters, hastily getting out of his clothes while Momo looms over him, giving him a strip tease. Once she’s completely bare, she crawls toward him, straddling him to take off his glasses, folding them, and putting them on his nightstand.

“I’ve been thinking about you all day.” She purred into his ear, sending shivers down his spine as she marked his neck with searing hickies. Ken rolls his head back, moaning, allowing Momo for better access as she continues down his chest.

“Momo….” He whines, gripping her hips tight.

“Shhh. You look so good like this. Let me take care of you, baby.” Momo whispered teasingly the lower she scooted down. She gets to his shaft and licks her lips before placing a kiss on his leaking head. Ken’s hips buckle as he whimpers from contact before she drags her tongue along his head, and Ken violently shudders. He fists his fingers through her hair, trying his best not to pull too hard, the more Momo’s heavenly lips pleasure him. He swears his soul will leave his body at any moment.

“B-babe…” Ken breathed, struggling not to explode at that moment as his eyes flashed red. “L-let me take care of you too.”

Momo stops and looks up at him, seeing how unraveled he's become. She's proud of her handiwork. “You good? Need a moment or something?”

“I-I'll be b-better if you sit on my face.” Ken pants, half-transformed, making Momo nearly yelp in shock. Once her brain finished rebooting, she obliged as Ken lay flat on his back, staring up at her with the sweetest eyes, making Momo melt.

Momo positions herself, using the wall above his headboard for support. “Okay, ready when you—” Ken dives in, full of fervor, making Momo scream. God she missed how good he makes her feel. Momo shakes like a leaf on top of him, moaning his name while he devours her. She comes for him quickly, thighs shaking violently around his head. Ken sinks his fingers into her smooth thighs, humming in bliss. He refuses to stop until he makes her scream like that again. Seriously, how is it fair that this boy can make her lose her mind like this and be an absolute dork at the same time?

She'll have to save that thought for another day. If she doesn't ride him into oblivion soon, she'll lose it. “K-Ken…” She groans. “Go inside me…” Ken taps on her thigh, signaling for her to scoot off him so he can readjust himself. He sits up and gladly takes Momo to his lap, sheathing himself in her wet heat, both mewling in pleasure.

Momo rocks her hips, picking up speed as Ken nips at her collarbone and breasts greedily, leaving a trail of love bites on her pale skin. She pulls on his hair and drags his face to kiss him deeply, his heady moans music to her ears. He drags his nails into her back, trying to hold on the more Momo rides him like a stallion. The pressure builds and Ken feels himself ready to burst, despite wanting to hang on a little longer. His whole body quivers as Momo whispers the raunchiest sweet nothings in his ear, spurring him on. He's so close. He knows Momo feels it too.

“Ken, be a good boy and cum for me,” Momo says in a seductive whisper. Like the good boy he is, he does so, screaming in pleasure as he fills her up. He buries his head into Momo's chest and she plays with his hair, making him nuzzle into her more like a cat.

Momo cups his face in her hands and gently tips his head to look up at her, espresso-brown eyes staring right back at her with nothing but complete devotion. Ken kisses her sweetly, savoring the way her lips meld to his, tasting each other. God, did he need this . He missed her so much. Ken slowly lowers himself back to the mattress, taking Momo with him, all without breaking the kiss. Momo snuggles up to the crook of his neck, humming in satisfaction.

“Let me know when you’re ready to go again. I sure as shit didn’t have my fill with you yet. It’s been too long.” Momo huffs.

“You’re insatiable, I swear.” Ken chuckles. “It’s only been three weeks since we last had sex!”

“Too damn long if you ask me,” Momo grumbles into his shoulder. “I wish we could live together again. I miss you.”

“I do too. While we save, we can always come back here whenever my parents are away. At least don’t have to worry about leaving traces behind.” Ken teases while Momo light-heartedly slapped him.

“S-shut up! How was I supposed to know granny could do that?! It’s your fault too, ya know!”

“Whatever you say, babe.” Ken kisses the crown of her head, rubbing small circles into her back with his thumb. The moment doesn’t last long once a loud pounding echoes in the apartment. “Maybe if we pretend no one’s home, they’ll go away,” Ken mutters.

“Tell them to fuck off.”

“Nope. I’m not getting up any time soon.” The banging gets louder, further annoying the couple.

“Persistent motherfucker,” Momo gripes.

“Police! Open up!” A commanding voice boomed from behind the front door. That quickly got Ken’s attention as he lightly pushed Momo off him as she whined in protest, throwing on a pair of boxers and his discarded t-shirt.

“Why are the cops here?!” Momo hissed, covering herself up in a blanket.

“I don’t know! Just stay here. “I’ll see what they want.” Ken nervously opened the door and was surprised to see Officer Bega at his doorstep. “H-hi officer. How can I help you?”

“Got a call about a possible disturbance coming from this apartment, reports of a woman screaming,” Bega replied cooly, taking note of how red Ken’s face was and seeing the array of hickies dotted along Ken’s neck and collarbone.

“O-oh really now?” Ken answered, his voice going up a few octaves. “I-I wouldn’t know anything about that.”

“Ken, who is that?” Momo appeared behind him, dressed in one of his shirts, looking just as disheveled as he is, face the same bright red as Ken’s. “Oh, h-hi Mr. Bega.”

Unamused, Bega pulls out his ticket book and quickly jots down a citation, handing it to Ken. “I’m issuing the two of you a fine for disturbing the peace. Don’t have me come down here ever again due to your activities, got it? Now, have a good rest of your night.”

A roller coaster of emotions crosses Ken’s face as he processes what just happened while Momo cackles like a hyena. It’s not long before Ken does the same. He can’t help but laugh at the pure absurdity of the situation along with her.

When Momo wakes up in Ken’s arms, she takes a moment to take in his features. He looks even more handsome as the morning light peaks through his blinds, highlighting his face. She brushes his bangs away from his eyes, looking at him adoringly. God, he’s perfect, Momo thinks as she leans in to kiss his forehead. She wiggles herself free, feet padding her way to the kitchen to start making them breakfast. Guess it’ll be scrambled eggs instead of omelets. Oh well, it’s the thought that counts. She fries up slices of ham in the pan. She then assembles breakfast sandwiches for both of them and gasps when she feels a strong arm wrap around her waist, spinning her off her feet, squealing.

“I thought you were asleep!”

“Well, you weren’t in bed, so I went looking for you.” Ken kisses her neck as he wraps both his arms around her. “Thanks for making breakfast, but I’d rather have you for breakfast.”

“Mhmm, really now?” Momo growled, turning around to wrap her arms around his neck to kiss him back. Breakfast gets easily forgotten the moment Ken hoists Momo up, with her wrapping her legs around his waist, kissing, and picking up speed. He walks them to the living room and sets her down on the couch. By the time they finish wishing each other a very good morning, their breakfast turns cold.

Two days after Ken’s parents return, Ken invites Momo to have dinner with his family.

“So, how were things while we were gone?” Tadashi asked. “You kids behaved yourselves?”

“Oh, we just hung out with friends, nothing too crazy,” Ken lied smoothly as Momo quirked an eyebrow.

“Then how come one of the neighbors said they heard something a few days ago?” Tadashi stares down his son as Ken does his best not to sweat bullets.

“Ken, sweetie, why were we told that they heard a girl’s scream coming from the apartment… is everything okay?” Hanako added.

Oh shit oh shit oh shit. The fuck do I say?! Ken internally panics. “Y-yeah, everything is totally fine! Actually, the apartment may be haunted! Yep, that’s it! Haunted!” Ken stammered out.

“I-It’s true!” Momo blurted out. “I put some wards up and everything to dispel whatever was trapped in here! It’s pretty common for apartment complexes to be haunted, ya know!”

“I did hear rumors that apartment 4E may be haunted. There was an old lady who lived there previously who died there a few years ago.” Hanako says thoughtfully.

“Uh huh, I heard the ghost was wailing ‘OoOooOh Kennnn,” Tadashi teased, earning him a kick from under the table from his wife. Ken and Momo shrink in their seats, embarrassed.

Later on, after Ken gets back from dropping Momo off at home, Tadashi approaches his son, patting his shoulder, looking him directly in the eye. “I’m so proud of you, kiddo.”

“Why?” Ken looks at the elder Takakura, puzzled.

“Let’s just say you take after your old man, not just in looks but in other ways too.”

“I don’t follow.”

Tadashi leans in, voice low, “Your mother’s a screamer too. Why do you think we’re out on business half the time? Didn’t want you to hear us.”

It takes a moment for the gears in Ken’s head to turn before he comes to a horrifying realization. “DAD!”

“Goodnight, buddy.” Tadashi snickers as he turns in for the night. Ken goes to bed absolutely mortified and hoping there’s a way to bleach his brain.

The next time Ken has the apartment to himself, the first semester of their freshman year is well underway. As a little treat for surviving midterms, Ken takes Momo out at an upscale restaurant in the heart of the city. Ken can’t keep his eyes off Momo. She looks stunning in a tight red cold shoulder sweater and a black faux leather body con skirt and thigh-high black boots.

“Okarun, you’re ready to order? Found something that caught your eye?” Momo says innocuously, batting her lashes.

Absolutely .” Ken breathes dreamily, not taking his eyes off the vision before him. “Oh, wait, you meant food.” Momo rolls her eyes, giggling at his antics. Ken loves the way the soft candlelight makes her wine-colored eyes glow. He can get drunk just by looking into them.

“You’re such a flirt, I swear.” Momo drags her foot along Ken’s leg underneath the table, and whatever blood that would have flowed to his brain turns course to his second head. “Maybe after dinner we can get dessert and have it at your place.” Momo looks at him with a teasing mirth. The insinuation isn’t lost on Ken for once, making his mouth water with want.

He leans in over the table and in a husky whisper tells her, “I can’t wait to get you back to my place. We can skip dinner and go straight for dessert."

“Thought you weren’t a sweets guy?” Momo remarked incredulously, eyes shining with desire

“Not unless it’s made with peaches.” Ken winked at her playfully. Momo can already feel herself getting wet instantly. Fuck dinner. She wants dessert, now.

“Wanna get out of here?” Momo jerks her head towards the door.

“Never thought you'd ask.” In the low light, Ken's eyes smolder with hints of red. He takes her hand and they dash out.

The waitress finally arrives at their table, profusely apologizing. “I'm so sorry for the wait! We're really busy tonight —wait, where did they go?!”

Once they're in a semi-private area, Ken hands his shoes to Momo, transforming. He hunches over for her to mount him, exhilaration vibrating through her veins as she presses herself against him. She feels him shudder underneath her, his fingers digging into her thighs.

The wind whips around her face as they race through the streets together only coming to a screeching halt once they arrive at Ken's apartment complex. Checking to see the coast is clear, Momo pushes him against the wall of the elevator, attacking his face with kisses, undoing the top two buttons of his shirt.

“Someone's eager.” Ken purred into her ear.

“S-shut up,” Momo uttered under her breath, dragging him to his front door the moment the elevator doors opened. She digs in her purse and pulls out the key.

“How did you get a key?! I don't remember giving you one!” Ken stammered.

“Oh, I found it in the drawer by the door the last time I was here,” Momo replied cheekily.

“That key's for emergencies only.”

“Well, it is an emergency. I need you inside me now. ” Well, he can't argue with that. They fumble their way through the door, slamming it shut. Bodies pressed together, panting, lips kissing each other frantically. Ken pins her against the wall, peeling off her thigh-high boots, running his fingers along her smooth, long legs that he loves so much as Momo undoes his belt. Ken grumbles to himself as he tries to get the zipper on the back of Momo's skirt.

“I think it's caught on something.”

“Just rip it off and buy me a new one.”

Instead, he hikes up her skirt all the way up and pulls her panties down, sending waves of pleasure to Momo's core. She screams as he puts her fingers into her soaking wet heat. Momo whines as she chants his name, the more she trembles against him, slick coating his fingers. She pushed him off for a moment, pulling her shirt over her head and unclasping her bra, dropping it to the floor. Ken licks the swell of her breasts, sighing in bliss while continuing to tease her with his tongue.

“Y-you're wearing too many clothes.” She said, panting. “Take them off.”

Ken furiously kicks his pants and boxers off as Momo strips off his shirt. He picks her up again as she wraps her legs around his waist, burying his needy cock inside her, shuddering as he sinks himself into her while Momo wails in ecstacy. She sinks her teeth into his neck the harder he fucks her. Her nails drag along his sweat-slick back, leaving pink tiger-marks in its wake.

The pressure builds between them, moans echoing throughout the empty apartment along with hot gasps for air. Momo doesn't know how much longer she can hold on for. Her legs feel dangerously close to giving out on her right there and then. She doesn't want to cum until he does. She can feel how close he is too, as his hips sputter and he growls, trying to hold back from transforming mid-fuck.

“D-don’t hold back.” Momo mewls, digging her nails deeper into his back.

“Y-you sure?” Ken looks at her with concern, slowing down to a stop. “I-I don’t wanna hurt you.”

Momo looks him straight in the eye, wanton with lust and determination. “Ken, I want you to fuck my aura out of me. Give me everything you got.”

He blinks back at her dumbly. “Remember, you asked for this,” He warned with a teasing lilt. He transforms, looming over her. Whatever Momo wants, is whatever she gets. He'll even become a monster for her, for her sake. “Strap in, babe.” He murmurs into her ear before he mercilessly pistons in her.

His freezing body offers her some relief from her blazing hot skin. What she didn't expect was how different he felt inside her. He clearly is a lot longer like this in more ways than one as he rearranges her guts. Maybe she bit off a little more than she can chew this time around. Momo feels herself crashing hard, her body feeling like jelly as she screams Ken's name. She swears she saw a blinding white light the moment she burst. Ken follows her soon after, shrinking back to his normal size. Red eyes and white ghostly flames give way to inky black tresses and cognac eyes.

“Dude, I don't think I can stand, let alone walk. Holy shit.” Momo wheezes. Ken smirked at her.

“Don't say I didn't warn you.” He presses a kiss to her sweaty forehead. He readjusts his grip on her to carry her bridal style to his room.

“How the hell do you even have the stamina to carry me after fucking the living shit out of me?!” Momo blurted out, flustered as he gently put her down on his bed.

“Never skipped leg day.” Ken quipped, earning him a playful smack to his chest. He finally manages to get the zipper on the back of Momo’s skirt unstuck, freeing her. They curl up in each other’s arms, basking in the afterglow.

The next morning, Moom wakes up to a grumpy Ken sitting on the edge of the bed, pouting. She crawls to him, wrapping her arms around him, planting kisses along his spine. “Morning, handsome…”

“Momo, I paid for reservations at that restaurant we were at last night, and we didn’t even get to eat there!” He sulked. “I was looking forward to it…”

Momo hugs him from behind and presses a kiss to his shoulder. “There’s always next time.”

“I can’t wait to get you back to my place,” Ken strained, feeling every ache in his body, leaning on Momo for support. “I need to check on your wounds.”

It’s not the worst beating the two of them ever took while fighting off aliens, hell, if Ken had to rank them, they got off pretty light this time around. Still, the fact of the matter is that he would love to sink himself into a hot bath with healing salts with Momo right now. It sounded like heaven.

“My wounds?! What about your wounds? You got the shit kicked out of you back there!.” Momo huffed. She’s doing her best trying to support his weight on her shoulder. At least she can walk. He’s hobbling along on what he’s pretty sure is a rolled ankle. Each step sends shooting pain, causing him to grind his teeth in agony, cursing under his breath. “Hang in there, Okarun. We’re almost there.”

After what felt like eons, Momo manages to drag both of them into his apartment. He’s grateful his parents aren’t home. He can’t deal with them bombarding him with a thousand questions and trying to drag him to the hospital. Momo leads him into the bathroom, having him lean against the wall, and pulls up his shirt, hissing in sympathy at the bruising around his ribs and chest. She places her palm on it, activating her powers to heal it. Ken feels himself relax as the pain slowly fades away into warmth.

“Thanks, babe. You’re the best.” Ken breathes, sighing in content, pulling Momo into a slow, gentle kiss. “I love you.” The way he looks at her, full of pure love and devotion, makes Momo melt.

“And I love you,” Momo says, kissing him back.”I’ll get the bath started. Do you need help getting inside?”

“Y-yes. Can you help me undress? Everything still hurts.” Ken whimpers.

Momo does so with pleasure. She takes note of the bruises, cuts, and scars that cross his body along with the birthmarks that pepper his skin, drinking him in. It’s a testament to how far he’s willing to go to protect her. She takes off his glasses dead last, focusing on his soft brown eyes and how the light makes them look almost like pools of melted chocolate. There’s always sincerity in the way he looks at her, as if his whole world is right in front of him. If you’d ask Ken, it’s because it is. Momo strips until she’s as bare as Ken. She tests the water before helping Ken step into the tub. They sink into the water together, letting out a long-drawn-out sigh. Momo leans her back against his chest, enjoying the moment. Hopefully someday they can have moments like this in a place of their own. The idea fills her with joy. She can’t wait.
