Mothers Day

Summary:

Short one-shots of the Buckzo, Millie, and Goetia families on how they’re celebrating Mother’s Day.

Notes:

This idea just popped in my head this afternoon and decided to write it down.

I didn’t wanna make this too long cause I didn’t want to drag.

For this chapter, I decided to have Blitz and his family go visit his mother at her grave.

This will take place sometime after he’s been forgiven and talk to you bye Barbie and Cash.

I also added Oliver and decided to give a hint of what he has now.
Tbh, I can see him having a special kind of hearing aid thanks to his parents, so it’ll be easier for him to communicate with others.
And I’ll be doing a chapter on that in my Oliver story in the future.

The next two chapters will be after Mother’s Day, but I’ll get them going when I can.

I’m sorry if it looks rushed, but again, I didn’t wanna take too much time on this.

Thanks go to thecat1987 for her help with thisz

Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Visiting Tilla’s Grave

Chapter Text

Blitz drove himself and Loona down a road and he was a little anxious about this particular trip.

Not cause of the location but who would be there; he’s being doing this all alone for years and never even told his daughter about it. But now, he’s not gonna be alone anymore and Loona even asked to come alone so she could support her father.

“Dad?” Loona asked after Blitz made a quick stop, “Are you okay?”

“Hm?” He looked over at her, “Y-Yeah, I’m alright, Loonie. It’s just…you know.”

“Yeah…I get it. You wanna talk about it?”

After a brief moment of silence, Blitz gave Lonna a small smile.

“It’s okay, honey. I promise that I’ll be fine. Okay?”

Looks smiled back and gave a nod as Blitz continued with the drive. He often told Loona he was going to visit that particular place alone and she would ask if he’d be okay.
She felt bad for not accompanying him any of those other times but she’s gonna try and make time now.

It didn’t take long for them to each the location: it's located in a graveyard outside of Imp City. It was quiet and away from the noise of the city.

There, where the gates are, stood a young imp woman looking similar to Blitz only with curled horns, a skirt, and a short sleeved jacket.

“Who’s that?” asked Loona.

“My twin sister.” Blitz said as he unbuckled his seatbelt, “Come on, I’ll introduce you.”

They got out and walked towards the woman, who opened her arms for her brother.

“Good to see you, bro.” Barbie hugged him.

“Me too, Barb.” He hugged back before letting go, “I even brought my daughter, Loona. Sweetie, this is my sister, Barbie Wire.”

Loona knelt down in front of her and they looked at each other for a moment before smiling.

“So, you’re Loona huh?” Barbie said first, “Your dad told me a lot about you.”

“Likewise. Glad I could meet you, Aunt Barb.”

“Me too.”

The two shared a hug which made Blitz tear up a bit seeing his sister and adopted daughter getting along.

“The others are waiting for us.” Barbie pulled away and helped her hand out for Blitz, “Ready?”

“Yeah. I am.”

Blitz took her hand and the three went through the gates. After a brief search, they spotted Ozzie with three imps at a gravestone; one imp was old with very large horns, one was a young boy with hearing aids & broken horns, and the other was a jester with mechanical prosthetic limbs.

“Hey! Over here!” Fizz waved his hand for them.

They picked up their walking a bit and once reaching the two, Blitz and Fizz shared a hand clasp before hugging each other.

“Good to see you, buddy.” Fizz said softly.

“You too, Fizz.” Blitz hugged him close, “Glad you all could make it.”

“Of course we would.” Ozzie patted his back, “We wanted to be here with Froggy on Mothers Day. Right Oliver?”

Oliver nodded and said, “I heard so many stories of Grandma Tilla and I wanted to say a few words even if she’s not here.”

Blitz smiled at his little nephew and patted his head.

“I’m sure she would’ve loved you too, kiddo.”

Loona came over and knelt down in front of the boy. She was calm so not to scare him but Oliver wasn’t afraid in the slightest.

“Hi.” Loona gave a small wave.

Oliver gave a small smile back and when Loona offered him a handshake, he wrapped his arms around her in a hug. She didn’t even hesitate to smile and hug him back.
Both of their fathers smiled seeing their kids being so nice to each other and then, Cash went to hug his kids.

“Good to see you goobers again.” Cash held them close, “I brought some good booze.”

“Thanks boss. I had Ozzie bring some juice for Oliver and some sweets. I offered to do some baking, but he won’t let me near the oven anymore.”

“Typical Fizz.” Barbie snarked playfully as it earned her a soft punch from Fizz, “I brought the chips including your gross guacamole flavored one. I still can’t understand how you like these.”

“Don’t hate but appreciate, honey.” Cash stuck her tongue at her.

“Loonie and I brought some snacks too. Took me a while to remember everyone’s favorite but I managed to splurge.” Blitz said as Loona brought over the bags.

“Good.”

They all gathered around the grave and Ozzie summoned some pillows that everyone could sit on.

It was a regular grave with a picture of Cash’s wife and it read:

Tilla Buckzo
Beloved Wife, Mother, Performer
A Bright Light In A World Of Darkness

“We’re here, Tilla.” Cash spoke up first, “We’re all together again. Just like in the good old days.”

“Hey mama.” Blitz sets his flowers on the grave, “Happy Mother’s Day. I’m doing great with my own business and I even have a daughter now. I wish you could meet her. Things have been so great over the years, but I’m doing okay now and I even have a boyfriend. You probably knew this ever since we were kids, but it’s actually Prince Stolas. He’s really fun and sweet and the best one I could ever ask for. He’s sorry I couldn’t make it, but he said he had to go somewhere with Octavia. But I promise I’ll bring him by more often.”

“I’m doing okay too, Miss Tilla.” Fizz said next, “I have a wonderful boyfriend too and he’s a deadly sin named Asmodeus. You’ve been together ever since I got these new prosthetic limbs from the accident and he’s been so sweet. And what’s more is that we both adopted a son.”

”Pleasure to meet you, ma’am.” Ozzie politely tipped his hat, “I’ve heard a lot about you too, and you are the sweetest mother I have ever heard.I promise to take good care of your family the best I can.I promise.”

Oliver smiled as he placed a couple of roses on the grave and Loona placed some lily’s on there too.

“Hey grandma.” Loona spoke softly, “It’s nice to meet you. I know you can’t hear me and I’m probably not the best granddaughter or daughter in general but I promise to keep Blitz safe and out of trouble the best I can.”

Oliver cleared his throat before he talked next.

“Hi grandma. Dad told me so many things about you and you sound so sweet. I’m so glad I’m with him and papa now and it’s all thanks to you raising my dad, aunt, and uncle. Wherever you are, I promise to make you as proud as my family.”

Everyone smiled and his fathers nearly teared up hearing the boys speech.

“Well said, kiddo.” Cash patted his back.

“You hear that, mama?” Barbie said, “Both your grandkids love you just as much as we all did. And I know you’re disappointed that I was addicted and push my brother away, but I am trying my very best to change myself now. If we ever do see each other again, I hope you forgive me.”

Cash gave his daughter a one-armed hug and held her close.

“I’m sure your mama would’ve forgiven you either way, honey.” He said in a comforting voice, “I know in my life, I have said and done things to you kids that I can never forgive myself for. But your mother would always reassure me that everybody makes mistakes and it’s not too late to fix them. And the first thing I’m trying to do is be more involved in your lives and become a better dad than I used to be. If you’ll let me.”

Blitzo hugged his father as his sister and best friend did the same.

“Of course we will, papa.” Blitz said as he teared up, “I have regretted things too, but I never want us to be apart again.”

“We will keep going for mama and our family”. Barbie said softly.

“Always”. Fizz added.

Cash felt his eyes water as he hugged his three kids while Ozzie, Oliver, and Loona decided to join in.

For the rest of the day, they spent Mother’s Day having snacks, telling stories about Tilla and talking to each other.
They made this their yearly tradition and Blitz even promised to bring Stolas with him next time.

Later as they got ready to leave, Oliver stayed behind for a moment longer to do one last thing as a kind gesture for his late adoptive grandmother.
He took out a heart shaped stone and placed it on her grave; he made it out of clay at school and make sure it was ready for the special occasion.

“Happy Mother’s Day, grandma.” Oliver said softly before leaving, “I promise I’ll be back.”

Somewhere out there, the boy could feel that someone was watching over him and giving him a loving, proud smile.

Tilla may be gone but her memory will never die as long as her family continues on.
