While Max is in the upside down, she figured out how the Party can finally beat Vecna and she gets powers along with Will. She meets Holly and they form a plan. The Party ends up defeating Vecna while in the upside down and saving Holly and the other kids Vecna kidnapped. Max is able to return to her body and wake up from her coma. She is temporary blind and can't walk, but goes to physical therapy to get her strength back. Since Vecna is defeated, the party focuses on helping Max and her new temporary disabilities, while also dealing with their own trauma. Max is having bad nightmares. The whole party is having bad nightmares. Steve decides to buy her a guide dog. Steve and Max start out as friends, but they realize there's something more between them. Max builds very strong connections with the party. I also really want it to focus on Max and all the girls friendships. Susan Hargrove dies in the "earthquake". Joyce becomes a mother figure for Max and Hopper, the father figure she never really had. Eddie Munson becomes the older brother she always wanted. I want my boy Lucas to be happy too so if someone can make up an amazing original female character for him to be with that would be cool.
It doesn't have to be exactly like this but something like it.
I love Lucas and Max together and they better be together in the series finale because I'm rooting for them.
I just love strange pairings on fanfiction and Max and Steve are my strange pairing obsession.
The party is only 2 years younger than Steve, I decided to age them up because it would be weird having Max be so much younger than Steve. So they are/were seniors in season 4.
Also if you could mention that Neil was also physically abusive to Max, but she never told anyone about it, but El sees it in Max's memories when El is looking for Max.
I'm sorry I know this story idea is all over the place.
So here's to hoping someone can create a story with this idea.
