Chapter Text
Vi sat slumped on her sofa, boneless after a good fucking, listening to the most beautiful girl she had ever met tell her that she doesn’t know if she prefers getting eaten out or fucked with some fingers.
“No it’s not- I’ve never- no one’s ever touched me- like that- before.”
“Wait what?” She splutters uselessly. “But you’re so good at this?” She very eloquently questioned.
“No I mean- I’ve fucked plenty of women. They just haven’t reciprocated.”
Vi gapes again, “Why the hell not?”
“They never wanted to.”
“What? Why would they not want to? Thats insane!”
Caitlyn’s voice takes on a harsher tone, her eyebrows drawing together, “I don’t know Vi, funnily enough I didnt quite fancy asking why they all found me so unbearably unattractive.”
“You’re not unattractive!”
“Vi, it’s fine, just drop it.”
“No, but thats just-“
“Vi please. Just- I need to get going anyway, I’ll see you, text me if you need me again.”
Vi frowned at Caitlyn’s wording. That Vi should text her if she ‘needed’ her. How many others had texted the same thing and never thought about repaying the favour? Maybe Vi was thinking too deeply about someone she was hooking up with but Caitlyn just seemed so…lonely. She never saw her with anyone else around campus, always on her own, walking quickly and head down. She can’t pretend to know the other woman well, couldn’t even tell you where she lives, but she still knows how to read people and Caitlyn just seems like she could use a friend, not just another girl to fuck and walk away from.
As Caitlyn put her shoes on and straightened out her long navy hair, Vi had the sudden urge to hug her. She didn’t, of course, because she thought Caitlyn probably would not want that from her, but she imagined it anyway. The way that she would feel, the smell of her perfume that lingers in Vi’s bed, the softness of her jumper. The sound of the front door opening tore Vi out of her thoughts and she heard a lovely accented, “See you next time, Vi,” and caught a swish of blue hair escaping through the door, which closed with a quiet determined click.
Vi let out a breath, wondering whether she was being unfair to Caitlyn by having her come over so often, if she was taking advantage of the woman, but fuck she was so hot and Vi was so horny all the goddamn time now that she knew what those fingers could do. But Caitlyn’s reveal was an absolute shock, she had assumed that Cait was a stone top, and that’s why she never asked for reciprocation, but thinking on it further, maybe Caitlyn just wasn’t used to someone wanting to return the favour.
That thought definitely left a bad taste in Vi’s mouth. Caitlyn was drop dead gorgeous. Like otherworldly hot. And she thought she was unattractive? Literally what the fuck were those other women thinking! Guilt burnt up through her gut as she realised that she had surely solidified that idea by not touching her either, even after she had come multiple times at her touch. She thought it was like a sexy dominant don’t touch me unless I say so kind of vibe but it seems she was very very sorely mistaken. Fuck. She was so fucking selfish, looking back on all their encounters, sending a quick text and receiving a one world affirmation and then getting fucked within an inch if her life, just to have the other woman leave soon after. Fuuuuck. She had fucked this up big time. Not only because she had made the most beautiful woman she had ever seen feel undesirable, but because she actually really enjoyed spending time together and she was building the courage to ask her on a proper date, not just a quick fuck.
Mind made up, she decided to try and woo Caitlyn, to the best of her ability, and not just use her for her fingers… and tongue… and strap… and- no, not going there. She was going to do better. She had to. She needed Caitlyn to know that she wanted her, like really really bad.
After a couple of days, Vi made her first move. Sitting in a coffee shop on campus, she sent over a text.
meet at last drop, 10 mins?
Bit risky, I’ll be there.
Vi decided not to correct her assumption, as it was based on all of their other encounters. But it still made her frown into her drink a little. After a few minutes of sitting and psyching herself up, she got up to order a drink for Caitlyn, hopefully one that she would like, and on a whim bought her a little pink cupcake from the stand. She shifted with nerves while staring out the window waiting to see Caitlyn, and exactly 10 minutes after she sent her text she saw her briskly walk past the window and open the door. Vi half stood, with a little wave to grab her attention and relaxed a bit when Caitlyn smiled a little upon seeing the pink haired girl.
She looked at the set up of the table a with a cute little scrunch of her eyebrows as she came closer and started, “So, bathroom or-“ Vi cut her off with an entirely awkward and too loud “Take a seat! I bought you a drink, I hope it’s alright.” Caitlyn stopped in front of the table and looked shocked, she sat down almost without thinking and just said, “What?”
Vi cleared her throat, trying to get herself together, and said, quieter and far more normally, “Sorry- I mean, I bought you a coffee. And a cupcake! I don’t know if you have any dietary requirements or anything but…” she trailed off after realising that this is far from what Caitlyn had in mind.
“Um, thank you Vi, that wasn’t at all necessary but- Yes thank you.” She looked so fucking confused, bless her. “Did you not want…?”
“I just thought we could… um, get to know each other a little.” Jesus she sounded pathetic. Absolutely no game whatsoever.
“Right…”
Vi squirmed internally at how badly this was already going. Why was she rendered absolutely useless in the face of a pretty girl. A pretty girl who had literally railed her on numerous occasions.
“I mean- you don’t have to, obviously, I just thought it might be.. uh-nice..” Vi finished pretty lamely.
“Um. Sure. Yes, thank you.” Caitlyn reached for her drink with her strong, long fingers and brought the mug to her nose, inhaling deeply. She still looked confused, but took a small sip of the drink anyway. “Green tea?” She finally asked.
“Yeah! Wasn’t sure if you were a coffee drinker or anything so I just- uh- yeah, green tea.” Vi groaned internally. Why was it suddenly so hard to make small talk.
Caitlyn smirked, just a corner of her mouth lifting and shot back, “Is it because I’m from piltover? The tea?”
“No! Well not purposefully anyway. I just like it is all, thought you might too.” Vi tried a disarming smile, hoping she was giving off charming instead of bumbling fool. Caitlyn laughed, only slightly, but it felt like a win for Vi.
“I love it, Vi, thank you again.”
“Yeah no prob. So…what do you study?”
“What do I study?” She repeated, a tilt to her head.
“Yeah, I mean we don’t really- ahh- talk much, yanno? Since we met I mean. So I thought I could get to know you a bit better,” Vi hoped she didn’t sound as pitiful as she felt like she did in her head. Caitlyn seemed to be thinking on this for a bit, her left thumb rubbing over the fingers on her right hand repeatedly. She looked nervous, Vi realised.
“Um. Well- okay, if you want. Im taking Law and Forensics. And yourself?” She spoke slowly, as if testing the words out before committing to speaking them. Her eyes were cast down at her mug while she spoke and Vi clung to the pieces of information she was given.
“Law and Forensics, that’s cool. I’m doing social work and I’m on the boxing team. Which, yanno, is a bit of a funny mix but, hey- can’t help what you’re good at!” Vi was happy to take on the brunt of the conversation since she was the one to set up this date. Not that it was a date. She hoped it could be, one day.
Caitlyn nodded her head along with Vi as she spoke, eyes lifted to hers, and finally seemed a bit more at ease in the conversation. “That would explain the muscles,” She replied, nodding her head down at Vi’s figure. Vi couldn’t stop the blush as her bright blue gaze raked over her body, despite having seen her in the nude more times than she can count. She flexed her arms and threw back, “That’s not all they’re for, Sweetheart.” Vi winked.
Caitlyn leaned into the flirting, eyes narrowing a bit as she asked, “Oh?”
Vi desperately wanted to keep this going, for Caitlyn to look at her like that, speaking to her like she wanted her. But that was not what she came here for. Dialling herself back a bit, she tried to carry on her attempts at normal conversation, “Nah I’m just kiddin. Anyway, Law? Whatcha planning on doing with that? Big fancy lawyer somewhere?”
Caitlyn seemed shocked to have the questioning return back to her, blue eyes widening a little before she gave her response, ” Oh! I wanted to help people. I’m sure you’re aware that I come from a wealthy background,” Vi snorted a little at the obvious statement, “ So I wanted to be able to help people without the means to defend themselves. The city’s justice system is appalling for anyone who cannot afford the legal fees that come with a good lawyer, and I just- well- yes, I suppose I just want to help.” She finished a bit meekly, tilting her head down again. Vi hated seeing her so unsure of herself, knowing that she usually exudes confidence during their meet ups. She doesn’t know why she feels so strongly towards Caitlyn, why she wants to remove the small frown on her face as if she wishes she hadn’t spoke, but the desire sits in her either way.
“That sounds great! God knows I could have used someone like you before I got locked up.” At Caitlyn’s sudden wide eyes boring into her, she realised that Caitlyn probably didn’t know that about her. Unsurprising, since the only times they speak are during and after hooking up. “Oh yeah, a couple years in stillwater, false charges, I was released after the last Sheriff was found out to be a rat.” She shrugs, not going into the gritty details of how traumatising it was- a 15 year old put into an adult prison. That was more of a second date type thing.
At Caitlyn’s look of disbelief, Vi shrugged again, “That’s really cool that you want to do that though. Not a lot of Pilties would go that far for us. Especially ones from money.” That made Caitlyn snap her mouth shut, darting her eyes away she said, “Yes. Well. It’s just whats right.”
They continued to chat for what felt like hours to Vi, but was probably only about 40 minutes, sipping their drinks and splitting the cupcake between them. Caitlyn definitely loosened up after a bit of prodding from Vi, althought she couldn’t help but notice the way that Caitlyn was always quick to turn the conversation around back on Vi, never dwelling on herself. It was like pulling teeth to learn her favourite food (sushi) or where she is living (her own apartment!?) but eventually, she began to relax and let herself speak more freely. Though she smiled politely, nodded her head when necessary, and covered her mouth when Vi occasionally got her to laugh, Vi still felt like she was holding herself back, like she was playing a part of a conversation partner rather than just chatting. Maybe she’s just overthinking everything, but Vi just really likes her, wants to be able to break through her walls a bit. Not just because of the sheer amount of orgasms she has had by her hand, but because she sees a really genuine person in front of her and wants to know more.
After finishing up, they left the coffee shop slowly, taking their time to gather their belongings and walk to the door. It was maybe a little awkward, Vi swinging her jacket around instead of putting it on, but she wanted to keep this going for as long as she could. Eventually they got to the door, Vi pulling it open for Caitlyn to exit first.
“Oh- Thank you!” Caitlyn said, seemingly shocked at what was pretty common decency. “No, no worries,” Vi smiled back.
“So… do you wanna maybe-“
“Thank you for-“
They spoke over each other, both letting out nervous giggles like it really was a first date. At Vi’s motion to continue, Caitlyn finished, “Thank you. For the tea- and the company I suppose.” She smiled so prettily that Vi was having a hard time keeping her cool. “No no, it’s all good. I’ve been thinking of asking you out for a while but we always, ah get a bit carried away, heh.”
Caitlyn’s usually hard to read face suddenly became an open book, she looked like a mix of confused and maybe shy . God she hoped she hadn’t messed it up by saying that.
“Really? I thought… well I don’t know what I thought, but this was nice. I-um, I do have to go to class though.” Caitlyn glanced away and fiddled with her jacket, pulling a loose thread between her fingers.
“Yeah, no worries. Did you wanna do this again? Not the tea- I mean unless you want that. I liked getting to know you, you know? Away from my bed,” Vi added with a slight smirk- it was still Caitlyn Kiramman after all, she couldn’t not flirt a bit.
“If you want to, yes, that would be lovely,” She replied with a soft smile. Vi counted today as a win, having seen Caitlyn smile genuinely more times than she had in the weeks she had known her. She hoped that she hadn’t made too much of a fool of herself, stammering and babbling like she’d never talked to a pretty girl before. But Caitlyn seemed to be at least a little interested in meeting up again so she gave herself a mental high five. “Cool cool, I’ll text you?” At Caitlyn’s nod, she found herself nodding back, “Okay sweet, have a good class then.”
Caitlyn left with a, “Bye, Vi,” and walked towards what Vi assumed was her next class. Setting her shoulders, Vi pushed off from the wall she had been leaning on and took off in the direction of her dorm, as today was a rare half day of classes. Smiling a little on the short walk home, she thought about what her next date could be. If it could be a date.
