Chapter Text
Luffy and Law have been dating for about a year now, and somehow none of Luffy's friends or family have realized this yet. Sure, Law told Luffy to not scream it from the rooftops but they weren't exactly subtle about it.
They were basically glued to the hip since high school, especially now that they're together.
Perhaps people thought they were just strange friends due to their dynamic, that or everyone in Law's life was dumb.
Law isn't sure why he was thinking about this, perhaps out of boredom, or maybe he's just now realizing this. Either way, he doesn't bother thinking on it longer. Instead, he continues cooking breakfast, waiting for Luffy to get up.
It was a Saturday morning and Luffy, as always, has stayed over. They practically lived together at this point. As it was around 8 in the morning, Luffy was still fast asleep, and thus, per usual, deemed Law as the one doing chores.
Though, it's not like Luffy ever did chores. The most he did was set the table, and that's because Law would kill him if he didn't. Plus, the faster the table was set, the faster he could eat.
The thought of it brought Law a slight smile. While Luffy annoying the ever loving shit out of him, Law still loved that man to death.
Heck, Law, despite what he may say, has been hopelessly in love with Luffy since Luffy's sophomore year of high school (which was Law's junior year).
As he turned the stove off and grabbed two plates, he heard Luffy's phone go off from their room. Not wasting a moment of time, he quickly moved the food to a cool burner and made his way to the bedroom.
Of course, Luffy was still there sprawled out on the bed like a damned monkey, as next to him was his phone, ringing at full volume.
Sighing, Law made quietly walked over to the bed and took up Luffy's phone. Just a look at the caller ID made him want to hang up immediately.
It was Ace, Luffy's older brother, who had no clue the two were together and would definitely be upset that Luffy stayed the night.
Reluctantly, he accepted the call and pressed the phone onto his ear.
"Hello, Ace-ya."
There was some sputtering on the other side of the call before Ace finally responded with understandable words.
"Why do you have Luffy's phone???" Ace asked, "It's a little too early for you two to be hanging out."
"He stayed the night," Law sighed, before quickly coming up with some shitty excuse, "I was helping him study for his midterm last night and he got so bored that he fell asleep."
Hopefully that wounded reasonable. It wasn't a surprise to anyone that Luffy found studying the most boring thing ever.
"I see…" Ace muttered, not seeming to believe Law, "Well tell Luffy to call back when he can."
"Will do."
Law promptly hung up.
Shutting off the phone, he set it on the bedside table, glancing at Luffy. Despite expecting to see the other fast asleep, he was laying there looking at Law with a dumb smile.
"Ah, you're finally awake, Lu-ya."
Luffy snickered for a moment, before yawning.
"I'm tired…" Luffy complained, "And I can smell food!"
Of course that was the first thing that came to Luffy's mind upon waking up. Food, his favorite thing.
"Well you need to actually get up and wash your hands before I let you near any food."
Luffy groaned, yet had a smile plastered on his face.
"Only if you give me a kiss!" Luffy made grabby hands at Law, begging him to come over, "Please, Torao??"
Unable to resist Luffy's charm, Law came ovwer to Luffy and kissed his forehead. Before the other could complain further, Law smirked at him.
"If you get ready and brush your teeth, I'll give you an actual kiss."
Luffy frowned at this but sat up nonetheless. As Luffy started to get out of bed, Law made his way back to the kitchen to finish plating the food.
Meanwhile, Ace was practically fuming.
Not only did his call to Luffy get answered by Law, but that bastard hung up on him!
Ace never really liked Law. Since the day he met the man, he was filled with anger about how close he was with Luffy.
How did that creep become Luffy's friend, huh?! There's no way a rude prick like him became friends with his precious younger brother!
Yet, they continued to be close since they met, still being friends for over 4 years.
Whatever, Ace thought, he'll go and see Luffy himself. Besides, he has some news for him that was fairly important.
