Work Text:

Damian had a dilemma. Father's day was approaching, which wasn't a problem, unless you had more than one father. Damian had three. There was his baba, his papa, and Bruce, although he wasn't really worried about the latter. His biological father had been back for some time now, but things were still the same. The man frequently disapproved of his methods on field, or habits he had. He'd probably buy him a mug. The real issue was with the other part of his family, how was he supposed to prepare something without help, and manage to hide it from two people who lived with him? He planned on cooking something appropriate, maybe a cake, and also make breakfast. His baba had an odd love for cereal, would cake go well with the colorful thing? He had to focus, to complete this mission he couldn't resort to his usual allies, so the first step was to find new ones.

He knocked on the door and waited patiently. Some noise was heard inside, and an old lady appeared at the door, smiling.
" Good morning, Mrs Hudson" He greeted politely.
" Oh, hey sweetie! I was just about to take the cookies out of the oven, come in!"
She led him inside and Damian was met with a quite familiar sight. Their neighbor's apartment was filled with portraits and lots of items that seemed to be right out of an antique shop. He sat on the stripped purple sofa, and Luke, one of her cats, nested himself on Damian's side with a content sigh. The old woman's apartment had a better view to the city, so the boy visited often, to draw, or simply play with her exuberant quantity of cats. Mrs Hudson came back with the cookies and sat in front of him on the, also purple, armchair.
"So, dear, it's always nice when you visit, but I must ask, what brings you here?" She asked.
" I'm on a very important mission and I need help, but you must promise to keep it a secret."
Her face turned serious.
" Oh, really? Okay, let's see if I can help."
He carried on
" As you must know, tomorrow is father's day, and I planned on cooking something for Richard and Wallace, but my cooking skills are not the best"
" Oh, that's a great idea! What were you thinking of cooking?"
He explained his idea to her.
" I like it. How about this, I help you with the cake today, and tomorrow, after making breakfast, you come pick it up. Do we have a deal?"
He nodded and shaked her hand. Later that day, when Wallace asked about the flour stain on his face, he simply smiled.
☆☆☆
The hardest part was to carry all of it to his parents room, but with Titus help he did it. It was all put away as he was engulfed in a bit of a suffocating hug, and he was pretty sure he saw his baba cry. It was sure a lot of work, but right now, stuck in the middle of a mess of arms and limbs, eating an admittedly good cake, with the best type of warmth inside, he knew it was worth it

Notes:

Damian may be a bit ooc, sorry but he's hard to write and I really like to explore this more childish side of his ( he's a child after all)
Also, about the father's day thing, I don't know how it is in other countries, but where I live today is father's day, so happy father's day!
