Chapter Text
“I can’t believe you!” Traci used her powers to drag Kon into her and Natasha’s apartment that was inside Natasha’s workshop lab building and slam the door behind him. Kon wisely kept tight rein of the take out bags as he was flung into their apartment. A chair slamming into the back of his legs. “I told you the city had a surge of strong magical energy from across the veil! That the city was surging from a sudden influx! You told me it was nothing. You said all the conflicts were unrelated! That you were sure the surges were just a coincidence! It was just Weather Wizard! It was just some missing kids. It was just a gas leak! You filthy liar you!” the furious magician screamed at him, eyes and hands glowing.
Natasha for her part slurped her iced coffee loudly from the couch to cut the tension. “Hun, you forgot this was a double date.” A knock sounded at their door. Traci’s shoulders rising and falling as she took deep breaths.
“I’m feeling a little attacked right now, and set up.” Kon said. Traci took a few more breaths, rolled her shoulders and flexed out her arms to disperse her magic. She stomped over to the door and flung it open, not entirely calmed down.
“Maybe you shouldn’t gaslight your friends?” Natasha countered with a pointed look, but not any heat.
“In Conner's defense. He was doing it for me and also it was the League's highest level of classified mission. And for young Justice it is also classified. More young Justice members had information than the Justice League.” Tim said when the door was slammed behind him. “I’m very grateful for your design choices right now Natasha.” she smiled at him.
“Can I set these on the table or am I not allowed to get up till my verbal lashing is complete?” Conner asked. Natasha pointed with her cup. Conner carefully got up eyes on Traci till he got to the table and set down the bags. Once he was done unpacking everything he was hit in the back of the legs with the chair again to sit. “I’m sorry. But it was top secret.”
“Maybe you should learn to say I can't help you with this investigation and I'd like you to drop it because it’s in conflict with my current classified case.” Natasha said coming to sit down across from him. Tim taking the seat next to his boyfriend. Traci sat down hard across from tim.
“Like that works.” Tim scoffed. “That just makes the people who aren’t in the know dig deeper and get more involved.”
“I hate to tell ya, but most of the world ain’t you baby doll.” Natasha said, platting up herself some of the Indian curry the boys had brought. “Not everyone disrespects boundaries around here.”
“In Tim's defense, his lived experience with you know everyone else in Gotham, says otherwise.” Kon pointed out.
“That’s a them problem.” Natasha took the rice from her girlfriend who had plated up hers. “Need to learn different houses different rules. And it sure as hell doesn’t excuse you.” she pointed at the wrapped naan in front of Kon. Who diligently passed it. She smiled at the scent of garlic when she unwrapped it.
“Kon gave the accounting he was given. That matched what superman was told to address the issues with.” Tim pointed out. “For security sake at the time, it was best everyone kept to the same story.”
“Right.” Natasha said judgmentally. “So are you going to explain what is actually happening or are you leaving us with the official press releases and the current news cycle?”
“Like seriously? Why are you guys more in the know in what obviously should be a Justice League dark case? And the only apology I am accepting from you, is a hook up to meet king Phantom at the next Justice League meeting they are attending. John has been blowing me off since his call for the portals and psychopomp assist. And Zee aint much better. It’s so not fair they had such a big deity meeting with the Justice League and not dark first.” Traci added.
“John, I can't say is ghosting you.” Natasha scoffed a sound of amusement. “He is on a mission. That’s…”
“Top secret.” the girls said at the same time as Tim. Conner and Tim started to plate their own food only when the girls stopped platting. Traci had a rice mountain with a ring of stews.
“Traci’s immediate response to John’s request has brokered a sense of faith. Zee has vouched for your standing, however…” Tim continued unphased.
“We’re still too young for League business.” Natasha mocked to her plate.
“No younger is better currently.” Kon countered.
“Varification on standing of Natasha is required first.”
“Excuse me?” Natasha’s attention snapped to Tim.
“It’s not personal, but I can't hack your systems to verify. And I'm not letting anyone touch this case without thorough vetting.”
“Why the hell do you get to vet for a League case?” Natasha snapped at him.
“Because it’s not just a League case or even primarily. You’ll understand after.” Tim argued.
“You’re accusing me of being what here?” she glared at tim.
“That’s some bullshit and you know it.” Traci stood up for her girlfriend.
“I’m not accusing you of anything. I just have to double check some things." Tim defended himself.
“Natasha, it's important. Steelworks did some work for another company that raises some red flags. It doesn’t mean you did something intentional but Tim has to check.” Conner stood up for Tim but gave the ladies a little to understand.
“Also what is your opinion on what happened?” Tim asked. Traci and Natasha looked at him confused.
“My opinion?” Natasha repeated. Tim nodded.
“Are you kidding? It’s obvious…”
“Traci stop. I need to hear from Natasha how she feels about the situation just from the news and what little bit she does know about the situation." Tim cut her off.
Natasha raised an eyebrow at him but set down her fork to give him her full attention. “My opinion is the government is trying to cover their ass on this. Saying those kids were non-sentient and non-sapient, while claiming the broadcast was to manipulate people and garner sympathy. And personally something fucking reaks here. Because those anti-ecto acts should not be on the books and the League should have made a stink about them before things got to this point. And now the League is making a show of it? They look like idiots.”
“There is a mole in the Justice League.” Conner said, his shoulders dropping at her statement.
“Excuse me?” Traci asked. “You’re joking?”
Natasha however was silently staring at Tim. “Go.” she gave him a nod. Tim was out of his seat and headed back out to her workspace to the nearest terminal he could find. “You two couldn’t lead with that? How the fuck is their a mole in the League? How long were they there?”
“They haven’t caught all of them yet. They got some lower level staff who were manipulating and intercepting call logs from the hotline.” Conner answered her. “And Traci it’s not personal you were left out. Constantine was in charge of verifying and bringing in people from their roster. He’s being slow about it because apparently he and Zee knew this was going to cause a divide. Dr. Fate is no longer working with the Justice League or Justice League dark at this time. He is not privy to any information about this case or Phantom and Phantasma.”
“Fate is blacklisted? Fate? Are you kidding me? What the hell is going on here? Why is he blacklisted? If anyone should be in contact with the king of the infinite realms I would think dr. Fate would be Naboo is a child of the realms, he has an understanding…”
“He has too much understanding, he’s unwilling to share and intended to kidnap crown prince Phantom to use as a political pawn in the infinite realms court. Where a partial goal was to wipe out this living realm.” Conner said. "At least that’s the understanding Batman and Superman got from the meeting with Dr. Fate.”
“Holy shit. That is bad.” Traci said gobsmacked with that news.
“What was the red flag?” Natasha asked.
“Steelworks did some work for Vladco.” Conner said.
She nodded. “We did. Uncle John and I worked on it personally. They provide us with a novel ore, the properties would have been categorized as a new metal. Vladco contracted us to work out a processing method. It had slightly different characteristics that made manipulating it challenging for manufacturing purposes. Contract had very specific conditions. Some I couldn't believe uncle John agreed to, he couldn’t either but he signed it. Said he didn’t notice them when reading through the contract till after. It including nda for anyone working on it or with it. And sole proprietary usage of the material and processes would belong to Vladco alone.”
“If you signed nda’s doesn't that mean you shouldn’t talk about it?” Traci asked.
“Not if that’s what’s got Tim to concerned to come talk to me like a normal fucking person. No.” Natasha said. “How is Vladco tied up in all this? Is Clark going to talk to uncle John about blacklisting them?”
“I’d say yes, but Tim is going to have to get you both some tech first from Danny before you do that.”
“Who’s Danny? And why do we need his tech?” Natasha asked. “What kind of tech?”
“Danny is one of my newest siblings.” Tim let himself back in. “and he makes anti-ghost tech that is safe to use against ghosts and around people.”
“Excuse me, but why would your sibling be making magi-tech to use against ghosts who as we now know are under attack by our government? Is that why your dad adopted him?” Traci snapped at him.
“Danny is not adopted. He’s Bruce’s bio kid. And you wanted to meet him a minute ago.” Tim sat down at the table. “So it’s clear according to my gifted code, but… don’t kill me. I need to know if you get hacked later. So far pharohtech has only hacked into systems who have tried to hacked him first. But i don’t know if he has a tag in this key or trace. To the best of my prechecking it didn’t but you are now my guinea pig. But he is harmless. Just curious.”
“Excuse me? You let some rando in my system?” Natasha turned on Tim.
“I wanted to meet him?” Traci asked herself as much as the others.
“He’s not a rando. He’s Phantom’s computer expert. And close friend. And sadly considering the code can be invisible and move around or in a language we don’t know, he’s our best bet in finding the unique technology and coding used by government and companies working with them on harming citizens from the infinite realms in a quick manner. And gave me what he calls his skeleton key. I didn’t have to waste time breaking into your security system. It unlocked for me.”
“A skeleton key? That works? On everything?”
“Everything I've tested it on so far yeah.”
“Have you used it on the watch tower yet?” Natasha asked.
“No, because B would lose his shit if Pharohtech hacked it. So again you are my test subject. He has already breached Oracles. And could theoretically breach he Batcompter from there.”
“He breached Oracle's system?” Natasha asked, surprised.
Tim nodded. “And Damian used a similar program to this that Pharohtech made him on the batcomputer. But hasn’t done anything we’ve noticed or found. Your system is insulated. And I sacrificed Waynetech for this key, so. . . i can’t test my theory there.”
“Sacrificed how?” Natasha asked. She knew Tim wouldn’t throw waynetech under the bus for something like that.
“I gave him a login to dig around to see projects we're working on. He’s a tech junkie. And what information we just recently received part of that because they were physically behind by like a decade till recently. He just wants to see what’s coming down the pipeline for the public projects. And now I get e-mailed reports of suggestions for improvements.”
“So he’s not snooping?” Traci asked.confused by their conversation.
“If he is. I can’t tell yet. But it’s practice for me and Oracle to find his digital fingerprints if he is.”
“Or a goose chase if he’s behaving.” Natasha pointed out.
“Curiosity killed the cat though.” Conner said, leaning away from the fork his boyfriend pointed at him. “He’s probably gonna peak.”
“He could have hacked it at any point prior if he really wanted to. His lack of interest before was he couldn't get any of our products anyway. Now he can. BecauseIi will supply him. Gradually. Personally, what the kid has managed with a 3 decade old pda from computer corp is impressive enough.”
Natasha choked. Traci patted her on the back to clear her airway. After she got a drink for her throat she spoke up. “Are you kidding me? Oracle got hacked by an ancient pda?”
“Its 25 years old not 3 decades.” Conner rolled his eyes.
"That's the same thing!" Tim and Natasha snapped at the super.
“Tim, you give this Pharohtech anything modern, you realise no system will be safe right? Might as well give him the keys to the watch tower.”
“Yes,i realise that. That's why I'm intercepting the rebate recycling program for items to provide.”
“Why is this kid using such old tech? Even my phone is only 10 years old and the age helps protect it a little from magic.”
“Their hometown has so much magic saturation they just got flip phones 10 years ago. Thanks to what you guys call magitech upgrades.”
Traci and Natasha both gaped at Tim. “The case is very messy and complicated.” Conner repeated taking a slow bite of his food.
“Is Vladco working on magitech?” Natasha asked.
“They call it ectotech but yes.” Tim answered, “and though i need to know what you can tell me about your work with them. I need you to not bring up where you got the information or technology. We need to come up with a cover on why you have it if my brother asks when you meet him. And I'd like him to go over whatever information or items you have.”
“Why? And why is your kid brother need to give over magi tech instead of me or someone from dark?” Traci asked annoyed.
“Because Danny is the greatest expert as a child of the pioneers of the technology. All the information we or dark have is primarily sourced from Danny. And we have a strong suspicion that Vlad masters is my siblings stalker and assailant also known as the ghost Plasmuis, and or the wisconsin ghost. And the creator and progenitor of my youngest sibling Ellie. Who will be known to the League only as Phantom and Phantasma.”
Traci smacked her hands down next to her plate. “Thats why you are covered in magic? Not because you met just met them?” She leaned dangerously far over the table and her plate. Con reached over and slid her plate out from under her.
“Assaulted how? Tim masters is in his 50s.” Natasha asked. “Knew that man gave me the creeps. Felt like my skin was crawling around him.”
“But how is he a ghost? He's alive?” Traci asked. “Or is this like mystery incs kind of ghost?”
“John calls them polarteira. They call…”
Traci sat up with a snort. “Thats hilarious, John's pulling your leg. Politera dont exist. Probably used that so the League wouldn't use folklore as fact for what kind of ghost they are.”
“Actually, no, they do, and Danny and Ellie have verified it. But they prefer halfas.”
“They are ghosts… so did masters kill Bruce's kid? Is… did Danny…”
“Ellie is a cloning attempt turned test tube baby.” Tim didn't let her train of thought continue.”
“Cloned before becoming a politera?” Traci asked.
“No after.” Traci gaped at him. “He didn't kill Danny. Danny died in an accident in his adoptive parents basement lab. And you cannot under any circumstances ask them about it.”
“Uh duh. You don't bring up a ghosts death.” Traci scoffed.
“Well it's been an issue so i feel like stating it.” Tim said.
“He’s been the issue.” Conner pointed out.
“Shut up. It was an accident and it got us answers.”
Traci glared at Tim. “Are you serious? Was it actually an accident, Kon?” she got a hand shimmy from Kon who got a glare from Tim.
“I didn’t ask outright! I asked why he was so terrified of b and b’s actions were tangent to his death! So he told me to explain why!” Tim defended himself.
“Excuse me?!” Traci said, climbing to her feet.
“It’s fine now! It’s fine. Everything is better. Not the best. But better. This has been a year long struggle to get them here where they will even be in the same room as anyone from League, or b. We are moving on, do not electrocute Danny. That’s what we learned.” Traci slowly sat down at Tim's continuing reassurance. Natasha’s hand came up to her mouth at his ending declaration.
“God, Tim…” Natasha said, reaching over to take his hand and give it a squeeze.
“It’s fine, it’s… what’s done is done. And we can’t change it. But we can and are moving forward with the new status quo.” Tim said, going back to his plate.
“So we’ve had a mole in the League for a year?” Natasha asked.
“No, longer.”
“Much longer”
“How long?” Traci asked.
“It’s looking like we might have had one since around the time young Justice sprung Greta from the deo. Or even before that.” Tim said with a tired sigh. “And for the record I didn't think you’d do that willingly Natasha. But Masters can overshadow people and from what my siblings have dropped on occasion is more than willing to do that for business dealings. It’s probably what happened to your uncle John to get him to sign the contract. And i was worried more was done during that time”
“Can we prove that?” Natasha asked.
“I’m not sure. That would have to be a question for the kids and magic users.” Tim answered, looking to Traci.
“I guess,it depends, possession leaves damage if the host lives. Most don't." Traci gave her educated answer to the unspoken question.
“Kids are adamant possession and over-shadowing is not the same. Host isn't harmed by overshadowing. Like deadman does.”
“Well… you can recognize deadman's energy during his … over shadowing. We just took it as a lower powered possession, and shortly after there are magical markers. But they fade quickly.”
“Shit.” Natasha sighed heavily. “So when can we expect you with your siblings in tow?”
“Hopefully never before they are adults." Con chuffed. “You have to bring stuff to Tim's place.”
“Why? Wouldn't it be easier to have them look over things here?” Natasha asked.
“Not unless you want to risk frying everything here, and you'd have be willing to let us babyproof the place.”
“Baby proof? They are tweens.”
“Phsyically, but as ghosts they are under 3. And some of their behavior matches that. So unless you want to risk things being eaten just see what they taste like or your privacy completely destroyed I do not recommend it.” Tim clarified.
“Anything radioactive has to go. Things will be modified or taken apart before you notice to stop it, they are worse pranksters than the bats and young Justice combined.”
“They like glitter.” Tim tacked on.
“So those boundary issues are hereditary and learned.” Natasha looked unamused.
“Probably, some of it is a cultural issue.”
Traci nodded, “considering general realms knowledge is avoid or give space as best you can. They can be very confrontational or violent."
“Danny and Ellie sub violence with pranks with humans. What they did to Brainiac was because they were mad he wasn't playing by realms rules properly and seriously hurt Jon. But that level of fighting is generally considered normal to them till that point. And it has been noted by several people that they were holding back considerably.”
“Thats holding back?” Natasha looked him in shock.
“They didn't even change into their ghost forms to fight consciously. Its was they got to much power not too.”
“They can cause emps when they get to excited, thats why the power went out where the fight was and coms were down.” Con added.
“ the Guys in white have methods of tracking them if they get too excited. They also hate superman.”
“That is a hilarious nickname.” Traci laughed.
“And they can't control that?” Natasha asked, a bit skeptical.
“No, they are still learning and developing. It's like expecting a baby to stop crying because you told them to. They were struggling with changing back and an ancient or endless? Named Desire had to do something to physically change them back to human. And b’s report indicated Danny and Ellie didn't understand desire when they told them how to change.”
“Ok, so learning their powers I guess makes sense, why do they hate supes though?”
Tim huffed and Conner sighed heavily, “so there was a misunderstanding of how sensitive their hearing was at first."
“That’s not a good excuse and you know it.” Tim grumbled.
“I’m not saying it is either, but he didn’t mean for them to hear.”
“Hear what?” Natasha asked, wildly concerned.
“There is no way superman sides with the giw in white here does he?” Traci asked with even more horrified concern.
“no, didn't stop Danny from thinking he did. But he has had a lot of negative things to say about the kittens' upbringing and closest family members. Including their mom.” Conner clarified.
“Which wasn’t his place, and he knew we were trying to build trust at the time. He also has ignored direct boundaries with them. Including trying to touch them without asking, and they very obviously didn’t want him to.”
“Why? Who’s his mom?”
“Touch how?”
“His normal shoulder pats. But we think they have trauma related to it. They flinch hard if an adult male does it, more so if they aren’t expecting it or trust them. And they not only don’t trust him they actively dislike him. Clark got bit. And it took a couple days to heal.”
“Heal, what do you mean heal?”
“He’s vulnerable to magic, that’s not that shocking. Blood or bone?” Traci asked.
“Blood. Ellie held back. It’s part of why they called in Biz. They didn’t want Superman anywhere near them. It’s also why we had trouble finding them. They cut communication so he couldn’t hear them. Including their own biometrics. I got some good data from their suits though.”
“Mom, who’s mom, that has got Clark being catty?” Natasha reiterated.
“Funny you should say that…” Conner said coyly.
“Catwoman. Who is currently romantically patterned with poison ivy and harley. Which isn’t bad. All of them had been working with us and keeping out of too much trouble until Danny’s situation was brought to their attention.” Tim answered. “With the added help of Jason, his gang, croc, and grundy primarily. With the penguin, and the riddler regularly involving themselves in their family life. With a growing list of Gotham rogues regularly assisting and participating in their care or well being. Wildcat and huntress atleast are close. But Danny and Ellie have a feud going with Huntress' girlfriend.”
“They do like Lois though.” Conner decided to add. “She’s been helping the sirens and gained the kittens trust.
Traci had a hand over her mouth watching Tim in shock at his dry delivery of the information. Kon looked sheepish, Natasha set down her fork, locking her fingers with elbows rested on the table. “So… your dad is loosing his absolute shit right now? This… this is why Dick suddenly quit his job and started the community center? And the reports of Nightwing possibly moving to Gotham in the news?”
“How do you know about the community center?” Tim asked.
“Who do you think he hit up for some speciality equipment builds? Steelworks? I mean it’s uncle John's side hobby project, not on the books but still. He’s hiring locals for a lot. But his circus gear he is specific about. He said he wanted to teach classes in a few years. See why he wasn’t starting with his class. How's his and b’s relationship right now? Yours?”
“I mean…”
“Bruce has been taking parenting classes and seeing the League therapist for techniques to talk to them with an open dialogue." Conner pointed out before Tim could answer.
Traci started hysterically laughing. “Oh god, the man’s desperate, it’s worse than I thought.” Natasha got out covering her mouth.
Which brought laughter out of Tim and Conner. “Yeah a little. We, we were really struggling to gain their trust and understanding. Their empath powers actually turned into a bit of a handicap for Bruce to overcome, he low key or not so low key is just always angry to them and it mutes or smothers whatever else he is feeling. And they want nothing to do with him when he’s mad. And b has no idea how to respond in good faith when they call him out on what he’s feeling. Duke and Dick seemed to have a pretty easy time of working around it.”
“Is Damian having a hard time?” Traci asked.
“No, actually Dami is closest with them. And has been from early on. If not for him I don't think we’d have made as much progress as we did.”
“Tim will never tell him that though.”
Tim scoffed. “No way. He doesn’t need his ego inflated more. His head might float away.”
“Damian? Damian Wayne? Mr. I am the blood son, will tear your head if you insinuate he has feelings besides pride in a job well down, or the well being of his team and burning hatred for anyone who can’t perform up to his standards on his demand? That Damian?”
“His team work skills have improved since the last training session you had with him when he was…”
“12. Not that long ago my man.”
“Well, a lot changes in 3 years. He has civilian friends and he is really bossy with the kittens, they don’t seem to mind. Their empath skills work better on Dami. And Damian really cares about them and is very protective.”
“Unhealthily protective.” Conner cut in. “there have been some complaints of overbearing. But, do not upset the kittens in front of Damian. If they can get him on a teen titans mission during a meeting that would probably be better. They will follow Damian's lead if he is suspicious of you at all. And rao help you if Damian thinks you upset them, at all.”
“How bad?” Natasha asked.
“He threatened to gut one of his friends for kissing Danny. tries to gate keep them making friends. Which I don't 100% disagree with…”
“Tim…” Conner said in warning.
“What? You agree they do not always choose the best character. They keep befriending rogues.” Tim argued. “But Damian takes it too far when it comes to other kids. And don’t know if anything will save Billy if Damian finds out he kissed Ellie. Luckily there was enough other drama at their own dance. Pretty sure Damian has plans to hide a few bodies from that event alone. I know Bruce and batwoman have intercepted him 3 times from trying to confront his classmates in League costume”
“Took the heat off Freddy at least. But I mean it’s not like you aren’t doing something about it.”
“Building a case for the fbi against their family for their illegal dealings is arguably better. I’ve been working on it since Damian had issues with the bullying. I just didn’t tell him till this last one. I had started feeding informants after Danny started getting bullied. This last incident was just the final straw. Danny shouldn’t have been forced to use his powers because the asshole can’t keep his hands to himself.”
“What civilian is crazy enough to bully Damian? No offense, but your brother has mastered his murderous glare.” Traci pointed out. “He is a scary looking teenager. And I'm surprised anyone who still has their fingers and teeth.”
“Not scary enough for Gotham. If you don’t know he’s killed people with his bare hands. He just looks like a regular rich moody entitled teen. He has surprisingly only threatened his classmate as of date.”
“Might change.”
“But it probably comes off as wanna be tough and scary. Damian is pretty low on the social totem due to a lack of compatible social skills. Their friend group is not much better. Their social circle is pretty unique, nerdy, and socially challenged.”
“Is it mean to say I'm surprised he has friends?” Traci asked.
“That’s not really fair. He and Jon have been friends for a while.” con pointed out.
“Yeah, but that’s Jon. Who can befriend anybody.” Natasha counter pointed. “Who doesnt love Jon?”
“The same bully.” Con said.
“So when do we get to meet?” Traci said excitedly.
“Lois has some heat on her, so the plan is for me to try and do an interview, and i’m bringing Jimmy to meet them and try to build a report.” Conner answered.
“Danny is also going to show me how to develop pictures so you can see ghosts in them from traditional film. Hopefully we can convince him to show Jimmy too. And convince him to hand over a camera to Danny to modify to take digital pictures of ghosts.”
“Yeah right.” Traci scoffed. Tim and Conner just looked at her. “Wait… he can do that? For real? Does it work on other magical creatures? Like glamored ones?”
“No idea on the other magic, but yes.” Tim answered
“Can he do mine?” Traci asked.
“We can ask. And if you ask nicely he can even make you a magitech phone, that is untraceable, unhackable, and John and Zee says it can make calls from hell.”
“No way!” Traci said excitedly.
“Wait, an interdimensional phone?” Natasha asked Tim to clarify for her understanding of some of Dark's travels from her girlfriend.
“Yeah, invented by 2 12 year olds. Built from refurbished nokia’s. B made calls home from the watch tower. So when we get a set date here, you two coming over to join the party?”
“Yes! Why is that even a question? Can we see his other work?” Natasha asked. “Uncle John will be stoked.”
“John can’t come.” Tim cut her off. “Bringing Jimmy Olsen is kind of pushing Danny and Ellie outside their comfort zone already, with bringing an adult man around they don’t know. Lois giving him a vouch is doing a lot of heavy lifting. And Jimmy’s disposition, I don't think is going to be a negative. Maybe another time if this time goes well. Three strangers is a lot for them to handle. The lanterns went surprisingly well, but from the report that has more to do with uh sue backing them up and them liking Guy’s and simon.”
“I’m sorry, who the hell likes Guy?” Traci asked with a laugh.
“Again my siblings are friends with rogues. And if you make fun of Bruce or Clark, you will win their trust.”
“Oh, that’s not hard.” Natasha said, forking her food.
“Can see why John would be favored if that’s all it takes.” Traci noted.
“No, Danny liked him with little effort because of John's music career. They are all big fans of his former band.”
“Constantine was in a band?” Natasha asked, then looked at her girlfriend. “Why didn’t you tell me this? What kind of music did he make? Was it any good?”
“Don’t look at me, I didn't know he was in a band either. Or could play an instrument?”
“Punk rock band. And he was the lead singer and played guitar.”
“John can sing?” the ladies asked.
“I’m sure Danny will love to share John’s music with you.”
