Work Text:
It started with that damn song.
It was just a normal day. Mira was sitting on the couch sketching costume ideas for their comeback and Zoey was in the kitchen, music playing as she cooked. Rumi was more than content to just sprawl out on the other side of the couch and stare at the ceiling, one hand dangling down to absently run her fingers through Derpy’s fur.
Then she heard it, Zoey’s voice carrying through the high ceiling of the penthouse over the clacks of pans and kitchen utensils.
“I know you want my touch for life
If you love me right, then who knows?
I might let you make me Juno”
Rumi remembers Zoey making them watch that movie. It was on the long list of “American classics” that she demanded her and Mira to experience along with other movies like Mean Girls, High School Musical (one and two), and Burlesque.
“You know I just might
Let you lock me down tonight
One of me is cute, but two though?”
Something started sizzling in Rumi’s veins, a restlessness in her chest and abdomen that had her hand stilling atop Derpy’s head.
“Give it to me, baby
You make me wanna make you fall in love”
All of the sudden, Rumi was bombarded with thoughts of Zoey and her curves. She had always loved how Zoey had more cushioning than all of them, little white lines dancing across her ass and thighs, and how it was so easy to watch the skin dimple when they dug their fingers in. Rumi thought of those hips widening, Zoey’s breasts swelling, and her body softening and getting more of those mouthwatering stretch marks.
Especially on her stomach.
Jerking upright, Rumi loudly declared she was going to the gym to burn off some steam. She spent over an hour on the treadmill that day, as if trying to run from those intrusive thoughts.
***
The thoughts didn’t stop.
They evolved .
They were at a fansign event. It was lowkey, barely advertised. They were still technically on hiatus after all.
It wasn’t uncommon for fans to show up in their own versions of Huntr/x’s costumes. It wasn’t even the first time Rumi had seen this , but the thoughts weren’t lingering in her head before. All Rumi did was turn her head to the side to see what Zoey was squealing at and it hit her like a punch.
An older fan was holding a baby, probably not much older than a year, and the baby was wearing a onesie printed to look like Zoey’s Golden costume. The baby even had its wispy, thin hair in little pigtails to imitate Zoey’s buns.
And just when Rumi thought it couldn’t get worse, the fan let Zoey hold the baby. She cuddled it close, even planting a kiss on its chubby cheek so the fan could snap a picture of them. There were so many ways Rumi could react, whether it be taking a picture with them as well or quietly chiding Zoey for being unsanitary, but her mouth was too dry and her heart felt like it was in her throat.
One of me is cute, but two though?
The marker in Rumi’s hand shattered in her grip, getting ink everywhere.

“Dammit! I’m on my period!” Zoey practically wailed from the bathroom. Rumi was already cuddled in bed with Mira, waiting for Zoey to join them. Their maknae emerged, face twisted in a scowl.
“Are the cramps really that bad?” Mira asked, closing the book she was reading.
“No.” Zoey’s scowl deepened and she crossed her arms, looking like a toddler on the verge of a tantrum. “I’m upset! I’m not pregnant!”
The silence was almost comical.
“Why in the world would you be pregnant? We all have vaginas.” Mira deadpanned, tossing the book entirely to the side. Neither noticed Rumi completely rigid on the bed.
“I know, I just …” Zoey trudged over to the bed, flopping down next to her and Mira’s feet. “I really thought we had it this time. We even got that strap that looks a little too realistic.”
“That is definitively not how that works.”
“It’s fine. We’ll just have to try harder.”
Mira and Zoey laughed, succumbing to how ridiculous Zoey was being. Not Rumi, though. Rumi was dead silent, staring blankly at Zoey and where her shirt rode up to expose her soft stomach.

It was one of those nights where things were quiet and comfortable, all of them tangled up together on Rumi’s balcony talking about old memories and deep feelings. Mira had been talking about how she was actually engaged before Huntr/x and how much of a nightmare she was to her fiance specifically to make his family call off the engagement.
And the thoughts. Those damn thoughts were still haunting Rumi every second of the day. She couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“How do you guys feel about kids?” she practically blurted, both Zoey and Mira lazily turning their gazes towards her. She tried not to shrink in on herself, face warming up a bit.
“I mean, I wouldn’t mind having kids one day.” Mira said with a shrug. “I want no part in carrying them, though. Seems like a nightmare.”
“Awh, no Mira with a big tummy?” Zoey cooed, poking at Mira’s flat stomach and causing her to squirm away with a laugh. Rumi’s tongue felt heavy in her mouth, it feeling like effort to form words.
“What about you, Zoey?”
“Oh, I’ve always wanted kids.” Zoey answered with full enthusiasm. “Like, at least three. Imagine three little mini-mes!”
“You’d want to carry them?” Mira sounded genuinely curious, head cocked in interest.
“Definitely. I’ve always wanted to experience that and these child-bearing hips aren’t just for show!” Zoey wiggled her hips and gave her ass a playful swat and Rumi had to pretend she didn’t notice the slight jiggle after the impact.
“Child-bearing hips? You’re so weird.” Mira gave Zoey a playful shove and just as quickly as it was brought up, the conversation shifted to something else.
Rumi could barely follow along, the thoughts now turned up to max volume.
***
They never quieted down. It was driving Rumi insane.
And then Zoey just had to somehow make it even worse .
“God, you feel so big,” Zoey whined, arching her back to meet Rumi thrust for thrust. She was on her knees with her upper body sprawled over Mira’s. Rumi’s hips were moving at a punishing speed, sweat dripping down her neck and abs from the effort while Mira covered Zoey’s neck and shoulders with bites and hickies.
“She fucking you nice and good?” Mira’s voice was a low purr and Rumi could barely hear it over the pounding in her ears.
“ Yesssss. Feels like she’s actually gonna do it, like she’s gonna knock me up.”
It was probably just dirty talk. It shouldn’t have meant anything. And then Mira had to add to it.
“You got a thing for that, baby? Want Rumi to fill you up?” Mira looked at Rumi over Zoey’s shoulder, giving her a look full of nothing but impure intentions. “I think our precious little slut wants to be bred .”
That was all it took to shatter. The final blow to Rumi’s self control.
The snarl that left her throat could only be described as demonic, one very human hand and one suddenly clawed and purple gripping Zoey’s hips harder and yanking her back to make sure the strap hit fast and deep.
The cries and moans that left Zoey could only be described as pornographic, upping in pitch and volume tenfold. Paired with the slap of skin meeting skin, it was an obscene symphony echoing throughout Rumi’s bedroom. For some reason, the Honmoon responded to the intensity, ripples of iridescent color pulsing around them.
It wasn’t the first time the Honmoon responded to their emotions. Sometimes gold would dance across its lines when they were cuddled up and showering each other in love. Other times, it still pulsed rapid red and violet when one of them was upset.
They theorized that in making the new Honmoon, a part of their souls were weaved into it.
Having it act up like this during sex, though, was new.
It wasn’t just one color like usual either. There was green, teal, and purple interlaced with flickering gold, almost lighting up the dim bedroom as the Honmoon seemed to contour and danced around their rutting bodies.
“Yes, yes , you’d look so fucking good.” Rumi said through pants and grunts, her voice split and rumbling in demonic tritones. Lightning was shooting up her spine and she swore she could feel Zoey tightening around the fake cock as if it were her own. “So round, so beautiful, so perfect .”
Zoey nodded frantically, nearly knocking her head against Mira’s. “Pleasepleaseplease! I want it so bad!”
“Me, too. Oh god, me too.” Rumi shifted, planting one foot on the bed to get the leverage to thrust even harder, using her weight to hit as deep as possible. Zoey cried out in that way she only did when someone got a hand on her clit and Rumi could see Mira’s arm moving frantically under Zoey’s body.
When Rumi and Zoey came, the Honmoon shone brighter than it ever did before.

Zoey was sick.
They were actually supposed to be doing a variety show appearance to promote their comeback, but Zoey had been throwing up on and off all weekend. Bobby made a quick post on their socials that Zoey was down with a stomach flu and nobody thought anything of it when Mira and Rumi stayed home to take care of her.
Her usual energy was gone, having left her body when she emptied out the contents of her stomach right after eating lunch. Mira and Rumi wrapped her up in a blanket burrito, her hands poking out and cradling a mug of ginger tea.
“This sucks.” Zoey grumbled, wiggling further into the couch cushions. “I was really looking forward to that show.”
Variety shows were Zoey’s favorite, always putting 110% to try and win whatever silly game or challenge the hosts threw at her. Mira made a sympathetic noise, brushing her messy bangs back to give her a kiss on the forehead.
“We can reschedule as soon as you’re feeling better, I promise. I’ll even let them put a funny hat on me.”
“Yayyyyy,” Zoey cheered with next to no pep. If they didn’t already know she was just exhausted, it could have been mistaken for sarcasm. “Funny hats.”
“I’m going to go out and get some more ginger ale. Is there anything else we need?” Rumi called out, already donning a face mask and a bucket hat to conceal her identity.
“Get some stuff for budae-jjigae. I’ll make it for dinner tonight.” Mira responded. Zoey’s face immediately twisted up and she let out a displeased grunt, causing Mira to quirk one brow. “What? That’s your favorite when you’re sick.”
“I’m just not feeling it.”
“Okay, then what are you feeling?”
“... Doenjang-guk.”
Both Rumi and Mira looked at her like she had grown a second head.
“You hate doenjang, though.”
“Yeah, well,” Zoey huffed, staring down at her mug of tea like it personally wronged her. “I want it now. Really bad.”
Mira shot Rumi a withering look who only responded by shrugging and then slipping on her sneakers.
If that’s what Zoey wanted, that’s what Zoey gets.

They eventually rescheduled the variety show. The internet absolutely went nuts for the clips of Mira wearing a hat with a stupid propellor on top of it and Zoey won every single game they played. When the taping was over, Rumi’s cheeks hurt from how much she smiled watching her precious girls.
Truthfully, Zoey was still struggling with whatever stomach bug she caught and she was still … off. She went from vehemently hating anything with soybean in it to eating at least two bowls of doenjang-guk a day. It was the one thing she could always keep down when all other foods failed her.

The dresser in Zoey’s bedroom was entirely emptied out and she was standing in the middle of the wreckage, face full of anger and tears streaming down her cheeks. That’s how Rumi found her, wearing just her bra and a pair of jeans that wouldn’t quite button.
“Are you okay?” Rumi asked, approaching as one would a startled animal. Zoey immediately met her concerned gaze with one of fury.
“Nothing fits and I hate everything!” she shouted. The sounds of Mira’s cooking in the kitchen halted, meaning she likely heard the outburst, too. “My bras don’t fit and now I can’t even wear my jeans!”
“We can buy you new clothes–”
“That’s not the point!” Zoey cut her off, face getting splotchy now that the tears were coming faster. “I want my clothes to fit! I want budae-jjigae! I want to go 24 hours without feeling queasy!”
The more she yelled, the more her anger turned to despair and soon, she was sobbing instead of shouting. Heart feeling like it was shattering to pieces, Rumi gathered her up in her arms and led her to the bed. She helped Zoey out of the too tight jeans and reached around to unclasp her bra. Now that she looked closely, it did look a lot tighter and uncomfortable around Zoey’s breast. She could see the angry red indents on Zoey’s skin when she flung it away, rubbing soothing circles onto them.
“... I’m sorry for yelling at you.” Zoey said, once her sobs died down to sniffles.
“It’s okay. I know you’ve been getting frustrated lately. I’m sorry you’ve been dealing with so much.” Rumi replied, peppering kisses across Zoey’s cheeks.
“It’s not like it’s your fault I feel like shit.” she grumbled, burrowing further into Rumi’s embrace.
“I know. I just wish I could be more helpful. I love you and I hate seeing you hurting.”
Zoey murmured a quiet “I love you, too.” and the two held each other until Mira called them down for dinner, having made plenty of doenjang-guk so Zoey could eat as much as she wanted.

In some weird parallel to the day Rumi first heard Zoey sing that song, she was sprawled on the couch petting Derpy while Mira was sketching again, Sussy watching from his perch on her shoulder.
Holding an unopened box of tampons, Zoey padded into the living room looking rather dazed. They both noticed and sat up to give her attention, Mira setting her stylus and tablet to the side.
“What’s wrong?” Rumi asked, opening her arms for Zoey to cuddle into. Zoey stayed put in one place, expression hollow.
“I’m late.” she said, barely audible. Mira’s head cocked in confusion.
“Late?”
“My period.” Zoey clarified, finally looking up at them. “I haven’t had it for two months.”
They both just stared back, not sure what to say.
“And the smell of my favorite foods make me sick.” she continued, clearly full of anxiety. “None of my pants fit anymore, my tits hurt, and yesterday I cried after I saw someone step on a grocery bag because it had a cute picture on it.”
Mira scoffed, setting her tablet to the side and crossing her arms. “You can’t possibly be implying that you–”
“You’re pregnant.” Rumi interrupted, feeling like all of the air had been punched out of her body. The silence that fell was fueled by the reactions of all three of them.
Mira’s disbelief.
Zoey’s resignation.
Rumi’s shock.
“That’s – That’s not possible.” Mira said, barely able to form the words. “How would that even be possible?”
“That night. The Honmoon.” Rumi said. Zoey’s lips drew thin and she nodded.
“I did the math. It would have happened around that time.”
It made no sense. Then again, a lot of things they did wouldn’t make sense to the world. They fought demons using magic weapons made from music. An evil demon lord almost destroyed the world through a boyband concert. Rumi remembered how visceral the urge to see Zoey pregnant was that night, how it caused restless throbbing in her ears that matched the same pulsing of the Honmoon.
Sighing, Mira grabbed her phone, probably dialing the number for some secret chaebol contact that could handle things discretely. “I’ll get some tests delivered.”
Nodding, Zoey sat down on the couch, completely zoned out with the box of tampons loosely cradled in her hands. While Mira was on the phone, Rumi shimmied up next to Zoey, rubbing soothing circles on her back and trying to ignore the way her heart was fluttering in her chest.
They ended up getting five different test kits, ranging from dirt cheap to the most expensive possible.
All positive.

When Rumi and Mira got home from their TV interview, they were exhausted. Ever since Huntr/x announced Zoey would be taking an extended leave of absence, it felt like they had to work harder to make up for the empty spot at their sides.
The first few month of Zoey’s hiatus was fielding nonstop questions about where Huntr/x’s maknae was and what might be wrong with her. Any agency that dared insist on asking those questions was quickly threatened with being put on the industry’s blacklist. It shut all of them up rather quickly.
Little did they all know that Zoey had taken time off for “family reasons”.
“Did you get the gummy worms?” Zoey’s voice sounded from the couch, causing Mira to affectionately roll her eyes.
“We don’t have a death wish, so yes.”
Zoey reached out with grabby hands, Rumi plopping the bag of gummy worms into her awaiting grasp. Before she could move away, Zoey craned her neck and puckered her lips, Rumi easily giving into her demands and leaning down to give her a sweet kiss.
How could she ever deny her pregnant wife?
As soon as they confirmed the pregnancy, they took a quick vacation to the states to tell Zoey’s parents and hold a tiny ceremony, taking advantage of the US’s marriage laws. Legally, only Rumi was married to Zoey, but they held a ceremony for all three of them anyway. When they were deciding who would be the legal spouse, Mira quickly acquiesced, saying that being chaebol made her despise paperwork.
They all had their rings and each other, married in the ways that really mattered.
And a baby on the way.
Zoey looked just as beautifully ethereal as Rumi fantasized, sitting on the couch with a pile of plushies and a fuzzy blanket, her round, seven month belly exposed by her rucked up maternity shirt. The shirt itself fit just fine, but Zoey said her skin was sensitive from the stretching and sometimes it felt better to just have it bare.
Rumi was not complaining.
“How is our little kongnamul?” Mira rounded the couch, sitting on one side of Zoey while Rumi took the other.
“Sleeping after her afternoon boxing match with my bladder.” Zoey said, patting her stomach with one hand and popping a gummy worm in her mouth with the other.
Unable to help herself, Rumi leaned down and pressed her lips to Zoey’s bump, causing her to giggle at the ticklish sensation. The only thing that would be better than seeing Zoey like this would be when she would hold their precious daughter, Rumi wishing wholeheartedly that their baby would look just like Zoey.
While Mira and Zoey chatted about their respective days, Rumi was fully enamored in lavishing Zoey and her stomach in attention, humming softly to herself.
You make me wanna make you fall in love.
