The devil in disguise

Summary:

When Ciel Phantomhive presented as an Omega, a dark creature rose from the depth of hell.

Of course the young boy didn't know about it, he didn't know anything of what his future had in store for him.

His servants brought him far, far away from his home since as an Omega, it was too dangerous for him to stay there. He shouldn't have presented as an Omega. The entirety of the Aristocracy was already making plans about how to destroy the Phatomhive family, now that a "weak, useless" Omega was at their top. A shame. Embarrassing. Humiliating for the whole Aristocracy.

Ciel had to leave as fast as possible right after his first heat, his loyal servants bringing him to a boarding school where he would be safe for the time being.

An Alpha with pitch black hair greeted him right at the front gates, wearing a dark cloak, a perfectly fitting suit and a neat tie.

Who would have thought that Ciel was greeted by the devil in disguise ?

His fated mate.
Sebastian Michaelis.

Chapter 1: Welcome to Weston College

Chapter Text

It came suddenly and without any warning.
Ciel's first heat.

The fifteen year old boy was already a late bloomer, he thought something was wrong with him. No doctors could tell him why he was so late with his presentation. Ciel already expected that he would present as an Omega, even though everyone else wished for a different outcome. But he didn't really grow during the past two years, he was still short and rather lean with little to no visible muscles. Nothing like an Alpha.

The fever started during the night of the first October. The dark blue haired boy was sweating all over and his whole body started to ache. He became wet between his legs, slick running down his thighs nonstop and he was confused at first what was happening to him.
The servants brought him water and made sure that no outsider would take notice of what the Earl of Phantomhive was going through. He was hidden away from everyone's sight. For his own safety. He was the last living heir of the Phantomhive family, he needed to be protected at all costs.

But there was something else….
Something buried deeper inside of him that seemed to want to claw its way out of his body. A strange sensation he had never heard of before, something that didn't make sense if it was also caused by his heat. It wasn't anything physical, it felt as if it was in the depths of his soul.

Ciel should have been an Alpha. As the only family member left of the Phantomhives, the sole Heir to their title and what came with it, the companies, the relationships with other aristocratic families, the money and the responsibility. Ciel Phantomhive owned it all, and for someone as powerful as him, he should have been an Alpha.

His servants however had expected him to present differently, just like Ciel himself.
They swore to protect their Lord, no matter what.
He was still their young Master, even as an Omega. They would never lose their admiration or respect for him.

That's why they had to protect him.
The backlash of the other aristocratic families would be loud and Ciel was going to be the talk of the whole town of London, if not the entirety of England. An Omega at the top of the Phantomhives, a shame.
So the dark haired boy had to disappear for a little while after his presentation.
His servants had everything prepared already when it finally happened.

What his servants didn't know, however, was that not all of Ciel’s symptoms were caused by his heat. His soul had been shattered to its core and someone else took notice of it far, far away.

It didn't matter though, the boy needed to leave his estate for a while. He wasn't safe here anymore as an Omega.

********

In a different dimension, a place where no human could ever survive, someone felt Ciels pain.

A dark creature that was neither human nor devil, it was something in between. The presentation of the small boy with deep blue eyes awoke the creature from its deep sleep, and it felt that it was time.
His mate was ready for him.
His time had finally come.

The dark creature stepped out of the shadows that surrounded him, ready to claim what was destined to be his, wrapping himself in a disguise no human would be able to see through.

*********

The day after Ciels heat was over, he was brought to a boarding school by his servants in a carriage that was completely shielded from the outside view.
No one should be able to tell who was inside the carriage, no one should know that Ciel Phantomhive, the freshly presented Omega, was sent to a boarding school somewhere hidden in England.

The boy with the bluish-dark hair wasn't very fond of this idea, he didn't want to leave his home and his servants behind, they were the only family he had left, but he knew deep down that it was the right thing to do.
He couldn't help as what he presented, he didn't choose this. But now he had to live with the consequences nonetheless and try to make the best out of his situation.

It was only for a while. He wouldn't stay at the boarding school forever. Just until the situation had calmed down a little and the other aristocrats got used to the thought that an Omega was now at the top of the Phantomhive Earldom. And there was nothing that they could do about it.

The servants chose this boarding school for him as a place to hide not only because he was safe there. It should also teach Ciel some manners, since that was a hopeless case for the servants. Tanaka had given up on that years ago, Ciel simply wasn't listening to him.

But he would hopefully listen to his teachers, as they were known for punishing students for disobedience and their overall very famous strictness.
Every problem child that ever set foot into this school came out as a different human being.
Polite, kind, humble and well mannered.
Weston College made the impossible possible, and that's what Ciel's servants also hoped for their young master. Until now, nobody had managed to tame their fierce boss.

As soon as they arrived, the servants were greeted by a tall man in a black coat.
He bowed his head when he saw the carriage arriving at the front gates of Weston College, welcoming his new student and his fellowship.

“Welcome to Weston College. My name is Sebastian Michaelis and I am the future head teacher and dorm supervisor of Lord Phantomhive. I wanted to greet him personally and make sure he arrives without any issues. It's a pleasure to meet you all.”

Sebastian couldn't wait to see his mate for the first time. He had waited a long time for this moment, so he decided to step right in when he arrived. Multiple centuries had passed ever since it was revealed that he had a fated mate, but he wasn't ready for him yet.
He lived his life in complete darkness, waiting for the moment when fate decided it had found the perfect partner for him. The demon accepted however long it would take, waiting for his chosen mate and preparing himself in the meantime. If he was perfect for him, Sebastian didn't mind the time.

It was raining when Tanaka opened the carriage for Ciel to step out into the night. They decided to come during the late hours, so they had not expected for someone to greet them here, even less Ciels future teacher.
But the man with the frameless glasses and golden eyes looked nice enough that the servants didn't dare to ask questions.
They were happy that they could give their young master into safe hands and drive back to the manor without needing to worry.

Ciel still had this strange symptom that couldn't belong to his heat, it would really confuse him if it did when the door of his carriage opened.
Why was it still there when his heat was already over? A slight headache paired with this strange sense of longing that came from deep within his soul. The boy had never felt it before his heat, but ever since then it was there. And there wasn't a second where Ciel hadn't felt this longing since it was over. As if there was a hole in his soul that desperately craved to be filled. Wanted to be whole again.
He had no idea where it was coming from, but he just wanted it to stop. It was weird to feel that way, to know that there seemed to be something that was missing. And Ciel had no idea what it was.

He took Tanaka's hand who helped him out of the carriage, looking up at the tall man with the pitch black hair who stood now right in front of him, smiling down at the short, young Omega.

“Hello, Lord Phantomhive. I am Professor Michaelis. Your teacher and dorm supervisor. I was informed by the school that you would arrive today. I heard from your special situation and I can assure you that you will be safe here. I will take care of that personally. If anyone threatens you, gets too close or bothers you in any other way, please report to me. Alright?
Weston College is a safe place for everyone.”
The teacher greeted his new student, reaching out his hand to the Omega.

Sebastian’s heart beat faster when he was finally able to take a look at him. He had dreamed of this moment many nights, imagining the second their eyes met and their skin touched.

His chosen mate was young and belonged to the Aristocracy, he was well dressed and surrounded by a couple of servants. His big blue eyes stared up at him and Sebastian was immediately smitten with him. He was cute, adorable even and Sebastian loved the scent that belonged to him. Sweet, like him, but with a slight spicy note to it.
He was indeed made for him.

Ciel immediately smelled that he was an Alpha. He wasn't very fond of Alphas since he didn't present as one himself and now had to hide in such a ridiculous boarding school, but he took his hand and nodded. The teacher wasn't at fault for his own failing biology, and what he said was nice enough. He came all the way out here in the rain to welcome him in the middle of the night, Ciel had no reason to mistrust him. Not yet at least.

“Thank you, Professor Michaelis. That's very kind of you.”
Ciel had nothing else to say to him. He was tired and exhausted from the long ride and his first heat had taken a great toll on his body.

“Not a problem at all. It's very important to me that all of my students are well and can focus entirely on their studies. Then let me take your luggage and guide you to your new room. Servants are unfortunately not allowed on our grounds.”
The dark haired Alpha took all of Ciels luggage from Tanaka and helped him place it into a secluded area of the entrance hall of the school where employees of Weston College would pick it up from and follow them to the new students quarters.

Ciel had a few moments to say his servants goodbye, giving them some last orders what to do while he was gone. He knew they would take good care of the manor, they always had. It was their home too.
There was no reason for Ciel to doubt them.

He followed the Alpha through the wide halls of Weston College that were quiet and dark since it was still night, their steps echoing off the stone walls.

Ciel already missed his own mansion that he lived in his entire life, it was hard to imagine that he should live here now with so many other people he didn't even know. He liked being by himself, he liked being alone. It would be hard for him to get used to this.

The teacher guided him to the first floor where he saw a blue crest with a white owl hanging above a big hall that they were walking inside of.
“This will be your new house. Sapphire Owl. I will tell you more about everything tomorrow, I know it's late and you are tired. I am also the dorm supervisor of Sapphire Owl, not only your teacher. So if you have any problems of any kind, private or considering your school work, you can come to me. I also have my private quarters here, I am never far away.”
The dark haired Alpha told him, walking through the big hall where it seemed that the students were eating all together. Wooden tables and benches were standing around and Ciel asked himself if he would ever have a minute to himself.

He followed the teacher further down another hallway where he finally came to stand in front of a dark wooden door.
“And this is your room. Usually, all students sleep in double rooms with a roommate. But due to your extraordinary personal situation that you just presented, we decided to make an exception. Please don't tell anyone this, I am sure there will be some talk about it. Only the Prefects are allowed single rooms here. So this is a special honour, you could say.”
Sebastian opened the door for his student and walked inside.

The room was small, but Ciel had everything that he needed. A bed that was a reasonable size for a teenager, a bathroom that was only for himself, a wardrobe where already three school uniforms were waiting for him and a desk with a chair and lamp where he could do his schoolwork.

It was nowhere near his bedroom back home at his mansion, but it wasn't that bad for a boarding school. Most importantly, he didn't have to share this room with a stranger.

“Thank you, that's very considerate of you. I promise I won't tell anyone.”
Ciel thanked his teacher, meaning every word. He was indeed grateful for this privilege, he had no idea what he would have done if he was forced to share a room with someone else. That would have been his end.

“Great. I wish you a good rest of the night then.
Class starts at 8 am, breakfast is at 7. Please be at the dining hall we just walked through by then. I will introduce you to the rest of the lot and you will get all your books and stuff that you need for class. Your luggage will also be here shortly. See you tomorrow. And rule number one at Weston College. Don't be late.”
The dark haired man wished the younger student goodnight, giving him an easy smile and went out through the door.

Ciel broke down on his bed immediately, burying his face in the surprisingly fluffy pillow. He was so tired, he had just four hours left until the breakfast started and he had to be ready for the day, showered, combed and clothed and everything.
The day would be terribly exhausting. But he had done worse things and survived, so he would be fine.

When all of his suitcases were delivered to his room, Ciel started to get ready for bed. He changed his clothes, brushed his teeth and slipped under the covers of his new bed. He had to use every minute of sleep that he still had, but it would be hard to fully relax in this brand new environment.

That's when something inside the young Omega klicked.
Could it be…
These weird symptoms he still had…
They were gone. He was sure he still had them when he was sitting in the carriage on his way here, but right now, the headache was gone. And also this strange sense of longing that came from deep inside of him. It was gone as well.
Ciel felt like a normal teenager again.

How could that be ?

**************

The Omegas joy however didn't last that long.
When he woke up a few hours later without getting proper rest, the symptoms were back again.
Shit.

Ciel probably only imagined they were gone because he was tired as fuck, of course they didn't magically disappear.
He wasn't that lucky.

The boy took a shower and made himself ready for his first day at Weston College. His uniform fitted him perfectly in every way, Ciel was surprised. As if someone knew his size and sewed it by hand.

At 7 am sharp, the Omega arrived at the dining hall just as his teacher told him. He saw many other boys wearing the same uniform as him, a black suit with a white dress shirt underneath and a sapphire blue and black striped tie. The colours of their house, sapphire owl.

Ciel sat down at the far end of one of those wooden benches, trying to keep his distance from the other students. He didn't like attention and he didn't want to draw any of it onto himself. Being the new one was already as bad as it was, he would be forced to introduce himself to his new class and answer enough questions. He just woke up from a bad and stressful night, he didn't want to talk to anyone so early.

He saw how Professor Michaelis walked into the dining hall, wearing the same attire as when he greeted him at the front of the school gate when he arrived. Over his fitted suit, consisting of a buttoned vest, shirt, and tie, he wore a long flowing cloak. A silver chain with a cross pendant hung around his neck, adding a touch of formality and authority. In his hand, he held something that looked like a cane or a riding crop that only added to the strict impression he made on Ciel.
Why was he carrying such a thing around with him?

The Omega had heard the things that were said about this College. It was very strict. And the teachers didn't hesitate to use punishments, even physical ones, whenever the students misbehaved. So maybe that was the reason why Professor Michaelis carried a riding crop around with him?
Ciel swallowed thickly. So the teachers were beating the students here at this school?
This wasn't very good news.

“Students. Please listen to me.”
The dark haired Alpha teacher raised his voice to silence the boys who were talking to each other over breakfast, clapping into his hands twice to gain their attention.

“I have something very important to announce. We, the sapphire Owls, have a new member. A new student arrived yesterday. Please welcome him warmly and show him some love. Sapphire Owls support each other, so I expect you to share your knowledge with him and help him settle in. It's never easy to arrive in the middle of the school year, let's make it as easy as possible for him.”
The Alpha spoke to his students, telling them what he expected of them.
Everyone nodded in understanding of what their teacher was saying.

“Ciel, do you want to come here and introduce yourself to your new housemates ? I bet all of them are excited to meet you.”
Sebastian smiled at the Omega with the deep blue eyes, motioned him to come forwards to where he was standing in front of all the tables and benches.

Ciel gritted his teeth, grunting quietly to himself. No, he didn't want to introduce himself. But what choice did he have ? He couldn't say no in front of everyone. He had to at least try and get along with the other students, he would see them every day from now on until he could leave again. And only the devil knew when that might be.

So Ciel stood up and walked to the front next to Sebastian, taking a deep breath before he introduced himself reluctantly. He was very experienced at putting up an act, so he just had to put on his fake smile and pretend that he wanted to be here.
“Good morning. My name is Ciel Phantomhive and I'm fifteen years old. I hope that we will all get along and I'm thankful for everyone who is willing to help me settle in here as quickly as possible.”
He hoped that this was good enough to satisfy Professor Michaelis and make him stop putting him into the spotlight.

The dark haired Alpha nodded and let him go back to his place at the far end of the dining hall. Ciel hated how all eyes were on him now, some even starting to whisper to each other and point at him.

Yes, he was a Phantomhive. Yes, THE Phantomhive who lost his entire family in a tragic fire two years ago. THE Phantomhive who was now sole heir to the legacy of his family and everyone thought he wasn't fit for the title nor the position. He was the mockery of the entire aristocracy, and the looks of his classmates only prove it.
Ciel hated how they stared at him, he wanted to run away and lock himself in his room if he could.

“Alright, that was it for now. Eat up and we see each other for the first lesson today in the classroom. Enjoy your breakfast.”
Sebastian smiled at his students and then walked away, leaving the boys to themselves.

Ciel immediately stood up and left the dining hall, not wanting to draw any more attention to himself and avoid the other students until he had face them again in the classroom.
But just when he was about to leave the big hall, he heard someone calling after him.

“Hey! Wait for me!”
Ciel heard fast steps coming closer and he balls his fists at the sides of his body.
No, he didn't want to wait for anyone. He wanted to leave. Now.

“Hey. Is it true? Are you really Ciel Phantomhive? What are you doing at Weston College?”
The boy who came after him had caught up to Ciel now, coming to stand next to him. Breathless.

He was even a little shorter than Ciel with freckles along the bridge of his nose, a pair of small glasses decorating his face. He was a little flushed from running after the new student, staring up at him expectantly.

Ciel wanted to ignore him and go along his way, he wasn't interested in speaking with anyone. But something told him that this boy wasn't here to mock him. He seemed genuinely interested in him, his brown eyes warm and spiked with honest curiosity in his new classmate.

“Yes, I am the real heir of Phantomhive. Why should I lie in my own introduction?”
The dark haired aristocrat answered him reluctantly, hoping that that was enough for the boy to leave him alone again.

“Oh, wow. I only ever heard of the Phantomhive family, but I was never able to meet anyone unfortunately. I'm sorry for what happened to your family, it's really tragic and it must have been hard to lose everyone you love.
My name is McMillan, by the way. I am a first year student as well. Nice to meet you.”
McMillan took Ciels hand and shook it, without waiting for his consent.

Ciel allowed it, unable to tell him off.
McMillans words about his family felt honest and kind, he only meant well. The dark haired boy saw that and heard it in his voice. He wasn't mocking him. This boy with hazel eyes wore his heart on his sleeve and there was probably not one bad bone in his entire body.
Ciel had gained pretty good knowledge about all types of people ever since his parents died and he was all by himself. He knew their motives, he saw through their intentions and could practically feel when someone wanted to fuck him over.

It had been a painful time and experience while he gained all this knowledge that brought him here to this point, but now he was thankful to have developed this skill of seeing right through people. It protected him from only more pain.

But McMillan, this freckled student right before him, had a pure heart and wasn't a threat for Ciel that he needed to be aware of.
He was probably only too curious for his own good.

“Nice to meet you too, McMillain. So, why are you here ? I was just about to go back to my room to prepare for class.”
Ciel decided to just continue walking to his room, McMillain following him or not. He didn't care about the other student, it was just good to know that he didn't have any bad intentions. Now Ciel didn't have to be wary of him anymore, but he surely didn't look for a friend here either.

“Oh, what room are you staying in? Maybe we are neighbours and can go to class together.”
And yes, the boy who looked a little bit like a squirrel, followed Ciel like an obedient dog.

Great.

Ciel should have just ignored him when he had the chance.

“My room number is 1506. Right here around the corner, at the end of the hallway.”
The dark haired boy continued to walk towards his room with quick steps, the shorter student still hurrying after him.

“Oh, that's right next to Professor Michaelis bedroom. That room has been empty until now, I thought it would never be occupied by a student for the Professors privacy. Guess you are lucky to have him all to yourself after school. All of the other students have their room at the other side of the hallway. Mine is 1481.”
McMillain informed his new classmate, pointing behind them where his room was.

Ciel just shrugged at that. Probably all other rooms were already taken by the other students, he was the last one to arrive already two months late after the school year started. It was just the only room that was still available for him, so he had to take the one right next to their teacher and dorm supervisor. Ciel didn't chose this, this room had been assigned to him by Mr. Michaelis himself.

“Alright. Then I guess I see you in the classroom. I have to get ready now.”
The dark haired boy with the deep blue eyes came to stand right in front of his door, hoping McMillain wouldn't follow him inside. He promised their teacher to keep it a secret that it was a single room, and he intended to keep it.

“Do you know where the classroom is ?”
McMillan asked, and Ciel felt caught. He was right, he didn't know where he had to go.
Shit.

“N-No, I don't.”
The hazel eyed boy smiled at Ciels grunted answer, nodding his head as if he already knew.
“I will pick you up in ten minutes then and show you.”

Ciel agreed and finally, McMillian left him alone.

Back in his room he sat down on his bed and took a deep breath. He had no idea how he should survive multiple weeks in this hell. He preferred being by himself and he hated unnecessary talk. But he had no other choice now, he was here, and he had to try to pass the time as inconspicuously as possible. Even some squirrel like McMillain knew who he was, and Ciel had no clue what aristocratic family he belonged to.

He washed his face and brushed his teeth, grabbing an empty leather bag he brought to get his school books from his teacher like he mentioned yesterday evening.

And then he already heard a knock on his door. Did ten minutes already pass?

His headache was back stronger than ever, stinging in his forehead and temples. Ciel had tried everything to get rid of it. Drinking enough, sleeping enough, dimming the light around him if possible, sleeping enough. But nothing worked. The headache was always there with him, day and night. Ciel was becoming desperate to find a solution to finally get rid of it, just like this feeling of not being whole that was buried deep within his soul.

“Ciel, are you coming ? Class is about to start.”
McMillan called him from the other side of the door, knocking against the dark wood.

Shit. He had no time to pity himself any longer, he had to get going. He didn't want to be late and pull any more attention onto himself than there already was.

“Coming!”
Ciel called out to McMillan, opening the door, slipping out of it quickly to give the other student no time to peek into his room.

“The teachers are very strict here. If we are too late, we will get punished. And I tell you, that's no fun. The more often you are late, the more severe the punishments. And Professor Michaelis is especially strict when it comes to being on time, it's very important to him. He is never late to class, so he expects us to do the same. He says it has something to do with respect. And if we don't respect him, he needs to correct our behaviour.”
The hazel eyed boy explained to the new guy, his voice very serious and urgent. It was obvious that McMillan really didn't want to be late. The punishments of the teacher must be really harsh if only mentioning them brought fear into the students eyes.

“What are those punishments? I mean, do you have to write an essay or clean the classroom or something?”
Ciel got curious by the reaction of the other student. What punishment could be so bad that McMillan was reacting that way. The dark haired boy had never visited a public school so he didn't really know the methods that teachers used on their students in order to keep their behaviour in check. But could it really be so bad that the students were so afraid of it?

Before he could get an answer, they reached the classroom. Many students were already there and talked to each other, many eyes were immediately focusing on Ciel as soon as he stepped inside.

“Ha! Look at him! I heard he presented as an Omega, isn't that pathetic. An Omega as the top of the Aristocracy. Completely ridiculous.”
A student spat out as Ciel walked past him to the only available chair in the classroom.

“He has to be stripped of his title. Or marry an Alpha and give him all his titles and legacy if he wants to keep his name. Only an Alpha is worthy of such power.”

Ciel rolled his eyes. Of course he couldn't escape the shit talk even in this school.
And of course the one who made the shit talk was an Alpha.

He had blonde hair, green eyes and looked extremely arrogant. He was one of the students who had already whispered to someone else while Ciel introduced himself in the dining hall.
He decided not to say anything to that, the dark haired boy knew people like him.
They only wanted to taunt, to provoke, to hurt. They wanted attention. If Ciel ignored him and didn't give him what he wanted, he would stop sooner or later because it was no fun for him.

Some other classmates joined in and cheered him on, desperate attempts to suck up to him. The blonde guy seemed to be someone who belonged to the popular guys in this class from what Ciel could tell by the situation, someone who had influence and was admired by most.
But surely not by him.

“Don't listen to him, Ciel. He does that all the time, I was one of his victims as well when the school started this summer. He will stop eventually when you ignore him long enough, but the first few days are gonna be brutal for you. I remember how I cried the first night here and just wanted to go back home. I had no one back then, but you have me now. So if you need someone, I will be here for you.”
McMillan smiled, trying to reassure Ciel and give him the feeling that he wasn't alone. Something that he would have needed when he was the popular bully’s newest victim, so he wanted to be that for Ciel now.

“I know. I’m just gonna pretend I didn't hear anything. I won't cry because of some mean words, don't worry about me. I'm used to this kind of attention. That's why I'm here.”
The dark haired boy shrugged, not really impressed by the blonde’s show. He wouldn't crumble so easily like people like McMillan did. To get through to someone like Ciel Phantomhive, it needed a little more than school bullying.

“Come on now, you know I am right, Phantomhive. How should someone who regularly gets into heat, cries for an Alpha's knot, leaks slick like a bitch and spreads their legs for everyone around them lead an aristocratic family and business as big as yours. It's sheer impossible.”
The blonde guy spat towards Ciel and all the other students around him started to laugh.

Ciel gritted his teeth, curled his hands into fists in his lap and forced himself to stay calm.
He couldn't punch him in his ugly face in front of everyone. He couldn't. He would get thrown out of this College without being here even one whole day.

And then, the teacher stormed inside the classroom. Everyone immediately shut up when Sebastian Michaelis entered the classroom, the students who were already sitting stood up again to show their respect.
The tall Alpha with the pitch black hair walked towards Ciels bully, coming to stand right in front of him.

“Who is leaking slick like a bitch, Mr. Scott ? Care to explain?”
Sebastian asked with an innocent voice, leaning close to the student who shut his mouth and shook his head, almost trembling in fear of the teacher. He acted as if he didn't know exactly what his student said word for word, wanting to hear it out of his mouth again. But surprisingly, Scott didn't dare to in front of the adult who always carried a riding crop with him.

“Oh, suddenly your voice is failing you? Too bad that my ears are working perfectly fine and I heard every last dirty word that came out of your mouth. Didn't I say only an hour ago to be nice to your new classmate, hm? Is your memory failing you too?”
Sebastian straightened his back again, grabbing his student by the collar and forcing him to walk with him to the front of the class.

Ciel hadn't expected their teacher to do anything about this. He thought that he would just pretend he didn't hear anything and start the lesson. But no, not this teacher as it seemed. And he didn't hesitate to touch his students either.
He still held Scott by the collar after dragging him to the front where his big desk with many books was standing, not letting go of him. As if he was afraid that the boy would try to escape as soon as he did.

“So, please, Scott. Try and think for me for a second. Think really hard. What did I say about the new student who just arrived here and what did you do instead ? Tell the entire class please.”
Sebastian urged the student on, Scott's face flushing bright red out of embarrassment.

Ciel's eyes switched between their teacher and Scott, the slightest smirk flashing over the teachers lips when he told Scott what to do. Was he actually enjoying this? As a teacher ?
Ciel couldn't believe it. He must have seen it wrong. Or he just hates the blonde boy and was glad that he had found a reason to punish him. Teachers were only human too.

“I… uh …. You told us to be nice and help him settle in. And I…”
Scott stuttered, his voice shaking and his face gaining a deeper shade of red with every word.

“And I… I said not so nice things to him. I'm really sorry, Professor Michaelis. I promise I won't do it again. I swear. It was a mistake.”

Sebastian hummed and nodded, satisfied with the answer. Or not ?

“Yes, yes you did. But that wasn't the first time today you said bad things about our new student. I heard you in the dining hall as well. You were grinning and laughing with your neighbour, telling him things I won't repeat now. But I heard just right. I can't accept such behaviour here in Sapphire Owl. You know the rules, Mr. Scott. I'm very disappointed in you. As an Alpha and a student of Sapphire Owl. I think I taught you different values and morals.”
The teacher grabbed his riding crop, slapping it into his gloved palm with a loud snap.

Ciel swallowed thickly from only watching this display of authority and power. He wouldn't really use it on a student of his, would he ?
This would go a little far, even for a punishment.

“N-No, Professor Michaelis, I won't ever do it again. Please don't do this.”
But Sebastian didn't listen.

He wouldn't tolerate any ill behaviour towards Ciel. Towards his mate. His fated mate.
Ciel might not know that they were fated yet, but that didn't matter to the Alpha. He would protect his Omega whenever and however he could.
What this little cockroach of a human did to his future mate was disgusting and Sebastian wouldn't tolerate it. Not one bit. He had to suffer.

“Yes, I will Mr. Scott. You brought this upon yourself. And you aren't sorry for what you did, you are only sorry that I caught you. So now, strip, you know how this is going.”
The Alpha was merciless, and the whole mood in the classroom shifted.

Ciel was shocked by how cold the teacher seemed to be all of a sudden, his voice was hard and unforgiving.

So that's why McMillan didn't want to be punished under any circumstances. Now Ciel understood. He never thought that it was possible for a teacher to be like that.

Ciel watched in a mix of shock and horror how Scott opened his belt and pushed his pants down to his ankles, leaning over the desk of the teacher. As if he already knew what he wanted from him. As if this wasn't the first time this happened.
Ciel still couldn't believe it.

“Good boy. At least you are capable of doing that. I think 10 is a fair amount for what you have done. And when it's over, I expect you to apologize to Ciel personally.”
Sebastian got behind his student, aiming his riding crop towards his ass.

A cold shudder ran down Ciels spine when the first hit landed on Scott's butt, at least he was allowed to keep on his underwear. The boy screamed when the cold, hard leather connected with his body, begging the teacher to stop.
But Sebastian wasn't thinking about it.

This little brat hurt his future mates feelings, talked badly about him in front of the whole class. The demon would humiliate the boy just as badly as he had humiliated Ciel. And eye for an eye. That's the only way brats like him would learn.

Sebastian made sure the spanking was hard and the boy would feel it for days every time he was sitting down on his sorry ass. Scott cried out loud every time the teacher lifted his hand and let the crop rain down on his ass, his knees trembling by the fifth and Sebastian was sure the boy was sobbing.
Not so cocky now, huh?

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Ciels shocked face. His lips were parted and his beautiful blue eyes wide open as he watched what Sebastian did to his classmate, his light sour scent telling the Alpha how disturbed and scared he was. He looked like a deer in the headlights. A very cute deer, Sebastian had to say. The mate the universe had chosen out for him was just to Sebastian’s taste. He couldn't wait until Ciel understood their connection as well.
But until then, he wanted to have a little fun with him and his role as his teacher….

“Ten! Ten! Professor Michaelis, please…. It's enough! It hurts!”
Scott sobbed with a thick, tear streaked voice, begging his teacher to stop.
Sebastian must have continued spanking the boy while being entirely focused on his mate.

It wasn't his fault though, Ciel was just too adorable how he watched his teacher spanking his classmate in front of the entire class. Punishing him for daring to speak ill of his Omega. Sebastian will never allow any of these stupid humans, Alpha, Beta or Omega to soil the honour of his mate like that.

“Alright, Scott. Now go and apologize to Mr. Phantomhive. I’ll wait.”
The dark haired Alpha took a step back, allowing his student to lift his torso off his desk and pulling his pants back on. You could see a bit of reddened skin beneath his underwear and in the way he moved it was obvious that the boy was in pain.

His face was flushed and tear tracks covered his cheeks as he slowly walked towards Ciel who sat at the back of the class. Scott lowered his head when he arrived at the heir of the Phantomhive family's place, clearing his throat.
“I… I’m sorry for what I said. I will never say such things about you and your family again. I apologize.”
Scott's voice was cracking and a little rough but the whole class understood what he was saying.

For Ciel, he didn't really know how to handle this. On one hand, he was glad that this bully got what he deserved. He loved watching people who hurt him suffer. On the other hand, he was still in shock of how cruel their teacher and dorm supervisor was acting with these still pretty young students. But he guessed that these were just the ways the college decided to handle ill behaviour. They were famous for their strictness, the strictness Ciel just got to witness first hand.

He prayed he would never be the one on the receiving end of such punishments and cross Professor Michaelis in any way.

“Yes, I accept your apology. It's okay.”
Ciel mumbled, unable to look Scott in his teary, green eyes.

Instead he looked at Professor Michaelis who had a barely noticeable, satisfied smirk on his face.

And at this second, when their eyes met, Sebastian catching Ciel staring at him, Ciel noticed something else.

His headache.
It was gone.

Completely gone.
