The new sleeping arrangement delighted Wukong. Having all of his brothers pressing next to him every night. Their heartbeats pounding next to his ears *perfect* he thought.
They way all of his brothers started to accommodate for each other (including him) made him smile more than he ever has on this journey, Ao Lie even started to groom him and then eventually a "grooming circle" started. He LOVED it!!! The way Ao Lie and master brushed through his fur was nothing short of perfect. They de-tangled his knots with such ease and patience. He loved being with his brothers honest. The way Zhu Baije cooked and made sure his food was nice and cold before eating made him want to cuddle with Zhu Baije on the spot!! Wukong would never admit but he really cares for Zhu Baije. He knows he doesn't show it , his pride being to grand but whenever his brother gets hurt he gets half the nerve to sit him down and to protect and practically fawn over him. He also of course loves Sha Wujing as well his tea,hugs,and stories but most importantly how big and warm he is!!!! He always gets sleepy whenever sha grooms him. In other words his life right now is perfect.
He did miss his baby monkeys of course but he knew he trained them well and well half of them were immortal anyway. Thankfully he was give the opportunity to visit them a few years back and was able to add a magical barrier to flower fruit mountain. Making sure to protect his subjects.
"Zhu what are you making I'm hungry!!"
Wukong whined as he stood were Tang was (trying) to brush his fur.
"Wukong if you do not sit down and let me brush your fur so help me not even Guanyin will able to save you!"
Wukong sat down annoyed (not for long anyway he loved being groomed) Zhu Baije replied to wukong after a bit.
"it's almost done give me a second also it's rice and tea."
He continued to stir the pot of the mostly cooked rice.
"Sounds delicious Zhu"
Tang said as he continued to work on Wukongs fur.
"What kind of tea?"
Ao Lie asked Sha Wujing. He loved the tea his brother made
"Some exotic tea I found at the town we were just at."
"Do you know the name of the tea?"
"No....... Unfortunately."
"Well alright then hope it taste good."
Soon the food was done and everyone began to eat. As usual Wukong ate last his food last. His food having to be cooled down in order to not agitate his stomach , as his stomach was messed up from the molten copper and iron pills that were fed to him when he was under the mountain. Unlike the rest of Wukongs brothers Tang always stayed by his side untill he was done eating.
"The sun's setting"
Tang said with a slight smile.
"Soon it'll be time for rest.."
Tang paused quickly to take out something out of his cassock. A pair of mittens for.... Wukong?
"Are those for me??"
Wukong asked already knowing the answer. Instead of replying Tang simply gave them to Wukong and went away to the bedroom were his and Wukong brothers were already waiting for them. He smiled as he put the mittens on.
