Work Text:

Valyrian steel twin swords Echo and Widow’s Eye Echo is unique her being a sentient weapon forged from the metal of a fallen star and Valyrian steel old Valyrian magic
Sword one:
Echo is unique for being a sentient weapon that gleams when in battle
If someone disapproves of attempts to wield it, spikes protrude from the handle to force them to release their grasp, at which point Echo will make efforts to return to its chosen owner.
Sensing and feeding off the stamina of others. The blade is happiest when it is draining energy. While it still feeds off its wielder's stamina, its most excellent "meal" is the energy from its opponent, which it absorbs. Echo can literally "cut through" a technique used by an opponent, preventing it from completing

While the ability to absorb stamina is instrumental in combat, it also benefits its wielder. Echo can transfer absorbed stamina directly to the wielder of the sword, so it can also be used to heal injuries or replenish stamina reserves
As a sensory weapon, Echo chooses its masters. If someone doesn't respond to it and
tries to use it, Echo attacks with spikes coming out of its handle. After Joffrey killed his former master, it came into his possession. From then on
, the sword possesses a unique power, its ability to reform itself using the iron harvested from the blood of its victims. This regenerative process takes place almost instantaneously and can bring the weapon back to its original condition, no matter how severe the damage is, from a simple chip or nick to a complete separation of over half the blade. The sword also possesses high durability and is quite strong, able to cut through almost anything
Echo as a Conduit for Battle Meditation

Echo could act as a magical or arcane conduit for Joffrey’s subconscious will.

When he grips the sword, it doesn’t just drain stamina—it also syncs with the minds of nearby allies and transmits Joffrey’s battlefield instincts directly into their bodies.

This would allow his soldiers to fight as if guided by his hand, similar to Battle Meditation.

Echo might even sense weaknesses in enemies, transmitting that information as a cold certainty to nearby troops, who exploit it without even knowing why.

2. Echo Awakens a Force-like Power in Joffrey

Echo, being sentient and semi-magical, could trigger an awakening in Joffrey’s latent metaphysical potential.

He might enter a trance while fighting and unknowingly begin exerting a form of battle meditation through the sword, coordinating movements across the battlefield.

The Praetorian Guard, Vanguard Action Squad, or 49th Howling Commandos might begin anticipating enemy movements with impossible precision, their strikes too synchronized to be normal.

---

3. Echo Amplifies Joffrey’s Commands Through Soul Resonance

Since Echo feeds on soul energy, perhaps it "echoes" Joffrey’s tactical mindset across the souls it touches.

The soldiers wielding the weapons made from Echo’s iron or marching under his banner might feel a shared clarity-no—fear, no doubt—just a burning, cold efficiency that mirrors Joffrey’s own mind.

This would make Echo a Battle Meditation amplifier, not a Force technique itself, but a battlefield-wide transmission tool powered by the blade’s arcane hunger.

Practical Effects of Echo-Based Battle Meditation

Ally Buff: Boosts stamina, sharpens reflexes, enhances coordination

Enemy Debuff: Instills dread, hesitation, coordination loss, hallucinations of Joffrey’s presence everywhere

Strategic Edge: Makes small units perform at elite levels, reduces friendly fire, improves initiative, and timing
Enhances Strategic Awareness

Grants the user heightened battlefield awareness, like a sixth sense for where and when to strike.

Allows them to see the “flow” of battle, predict enemy tactics, and adapt instantly.
Boosts Ally Morale and Coordination

Increases the courage, determination, and efficiency of allied forces.

Soldiers fight better, respond faster, and coordinate flawlessly—even without direct communication.

Removes hesitation and fear from the minds of allies.

Tactical Link: Allows Joffrey to “feel” his army’s movements as if they’re extensions of himself

Sword two:
Widow’s Eye or Sword of Souls was a mighty sword that could imprison souls. Its origin dates back centuries along the line of kings in Aegon the Conqueror. Can trap the souls and life force of its victims

The sword traps souls by merely striking them down, who are then presumably subjected entirely to the owner's command. Due to the blade's ancient origins, it can be safely assumed that thousands of souls are trapped within it.

Soul/Life Force Absorption/Trapping - The Blade was an ancient, powerful artifact that was able to absorb and imprison the souls/life force of its victims by striking them down
