Peach Euphoria

Summary:

“Hi,” Chan speaks softly, voice tender and soft.

The omega looks up at him, clearly shocked and bewildered by the situation. But then a giggle bubbles up from their chest and to Chan’s surprise, the omega reaches up to caress his cheek. They gaze at Chan in wonder, taking all of the alpha in, as if they can’t believe this is happening. Chan still can’t believe it himself.

“Well, this is one hell of an introduction, I'm Felix.” Chan blinks in surprise, not expecting the deep and rich voice that leaves those pretty heartshapped lips, but he finds that it fits his mate perfectly. It’s lovely and soothing, the alpha is instantly enthralled.

“I’m Chan, and I guess we’re mates now, huh?” The alpha chuckles and Felix does the same.

“I guess so,” the omega snorts, but nudges Chan teasingly. “This is actually insane, both of us getting completely scent drunk and fucking in the woods before we even knew each other’s names. This is completely unheard of.”

Or, after accidentally mating, Chan and Felix learn to navigate their new roles as leaders of the Bahng pack. As well as finding unconventional ways to control Chan's erratic temperament through Felix's slick.

Work Text:

If Chan has to spend another moment listening to these pointless pack negotiations he’s sure to snap. He’s been sitting beside his sire, the pack alpha for far too long and his temper and patience is truly being tested. They were in the dining hall in the center of their village. Chan and his sire Yunseo sat at the head of the grand table. The pack luna Dalrae, Chan’s dam sat to the pack alpha’s left, quiet and docile like he always was. Short and wavy chin length dark hair framed his face, eyes trained to the table as his mate controlled the room. Taking up the rest of the seats on the left side are the rest of the Bahng Pack’s council. Chan sits to his sire’s right and next to him is the omega he’s promised to Hwayoung of the northern Cheong pack. With her are alpha Myungdae and his luna Dalrae, the heads of the Cheong pack. They’ve brought four members of their council with them.

Everyone is in the middle of discussing Chan and Hwayoung’s upcoming mating ceremony that will take place in a fortnight. The celebration will be in the center of the Bahng village. It will be grandiose, too over the top and Chan will hate every moment of it. Negotiations between the packs are being finalized. Chan sits silent and brooding, leg bouncing aggressively with his fists clenched tightly on his lap. His inner wolf has been on edge and furious ever since his sire announced to the pack a month ago that his son would soon become the next head alpha and the daughter of the Cheong pack leader was to be his mate and future Luna to the Bahng pack.

His parents hadn’t discussed the matter with him beforehand. Chan found out about his future the same time as the rest of his pack. Chan was so enraged that he’d rammed his fist straight through one of the benches at the gathering. Seungmin hadn’t been too happy with him wrecking his handywork. And Jeongin wasn’t pleased when he’d bandaged the alpha’s hand, making sure to give him a long lecture about his temper. Chan made sure the youngest two of his friends got the best cuts of meat at dinner that night to make up for it.

At the announcement his inner wolf had protested so profoundly against Hwayoung as his mate that Chan had almost shifted and gone feral in front of the entire pack. It wouldn't have been the first time he lost control like that. Chan was still furious that his sire had the audacity to choose his mate for him without any consideration for his feelings on the matter. The pack alpha had scoffed, stating that his mating with Hwayoung would be the best for the pack but Chan knew that was bullshit. The Bahng pack’s land was better and had more resources than the Cheong pack. They would gain nothing in return from this union as these negotiations only seemed to benefit the northern pack. But Chan knew his sire was willing to make sacrifices in order to try and tame his borderline feral son, assuming a mate that was docile and compliant would miraculously “fix” him. Chan rolled his eyes, Hwayoung was anything but docile, the alpha could easily see through her facade.

“I think the ceremony should be held in the morning,” the Cheong alpha states. “It would give plenty of time for festivities afterwards, a chance for your pack to become accustomed to their future pack Luna.” Myungdae’s voice is dripping with pride and a low growl escaped Chan’s lips at the smugness in his tone. Chan wasn’t mated to the man’s daughter yet, so he didn't get to act as if he’s moved up in the world. Not yet. The Cheong pack was only waiting in the wings to reap the benefits of something they never earned or worked for.

The smugness of this pack made rage simmer underneath his skin. He felt his wolf clawing at his ribcage as if trying to crack them open to break free. Chan could feel his canines start to elongate. His strong scent of patchouli and cedarwood began to spike, layered thick in agitation that was quickly noticed by everyone in the room. Chan’s dam, along with the Cheong pack, cowered back at the aggressive tension filling the space. His sire simply turns to him and simply raises an eyebrow.

“And what do you think, Chan?” Yunseo asks and his son snarls. “Would you prefer a morning or midday ceremony?”

“You already know what I think,” Chan snaps. “I don’t see why you’re asking for my opinion.” His sire growls low at his son’s disrespect.

“This is your mating ceremony, you’re supposed to take an active part in it,” Yunseo snaps and Chan simply rolls his eyes. The pack alpha’s rosewood scent thickens, turning smokey. Both alphas’ scents start to clog up the air but neither backs down. “You haven’t given your input on a single thing, since the announcement.”

“Funny,” Chan snorts. “You didn’t seem to give a fuck about that when you decided my future mate without my consent. Nor when I was the last to know.” He’s still bitter about it and refuses to hide it. He doesn’t give a fuck that his future mate is sitting right beside him. Chan did not care for Hwayoung and the omega knows he is mating her out of obligation. The alpha is extremely open about his disdain for his future mate and makes sure everyone knows he isn’t happy about this union. But Chan loves his pack too much to not go through with it.

“This union is for the greater good of the pack's future.”

“No, this is a way to control me because you think some random omega can tame my wolf.” He laughs cruelly, calling this union out for what it is, a scam. Myungdae’s hackles rise at the disrespect towards his daughter. One hiss from Chan makes him cower like the pathetic excuse for a pack leader that he is. “I don’t even know why I’m even here? Clearly my input doesn’t actually matter.” He stands up and pushes away from the table, ready to walk off.

“Sit down, Chan,” his sire orders, voice strong and commanding. Everyone else in the room bows their head in submission. Chan doesn’t yield, he doesn’t even flinch.

“Or what?” He challenges, crossing his arms across his chest and raising an eyebrow in defiance, daring his sire to do something. They both know the pack alpha won’t do anything. Yunseo knows he can’t go against his son without humiliating himself. “That’s what I thought.” He huffs before heading towards the door. “Do whatever the fuck you have to. I’ll show up for the ceremony. But make no mistake, I’m doing this for my pack. The people I care about that you’re using as a pawn to get what you want.” Chan stares his sire down before slamming the door shut behind him so hard that it breaks off the hinges.

The pack members in the vicinity flinch, the scent of burning cedarwood and patchouli almost suffocating. It makes the pack bow their heads in submission. Chan feels awful about it, the alpha never wants to lead his pack with dominance like his sire. But he’s too high strung and agitated to calm down. Right now, Chan needs to be alone. He stomps towards his cabin for some space, needing the peace and quiet. His pack members pull back and avoid him as he moves through the village square towards his home. Chan feels horrible. He hates seeing the pups cower away from him, hiding behind their parents as he passes. When he’s calm and his inner wolf isn’t in a rage trying to destroy everything in his path, the pups love to be around him. They follow him everywhere.

Chan is extremely protective of his pack, and he’s furious his sire is threatening their safety as a means to control him. When it came to the Bahng pack alpha and his son, their relationship has always been tense. Since birth, Chan has had a temperament that wasn’t easy to control. He’s never taken orders well and it’s been obvious from a young age that the commanding voice of alphas didn’t affect him. Chan had elderly pack members bowing their heads and bearing their necks in submission by his teenage years. In recent years, the pack alpha and his son have become more combative, going toe to toe on decisions regarding the pack. They butted heads constantly and now that Chan is older, he’s become more aggressive, sometimes almost feral. There were times when Chan’s alpha voice even affected his sire. He didn’t take orders from Yunseo easily, only bending to the pack leader’s wishes when his orders were directly about the good of the pack instead of his own selfish needs.

It wasn’t Chan’s fault that he was born with an unpredictable temperament. His wolf was unruly and Chan always felt unsettled, teetering on the edge of feral almost all the time. There had been plenty of times when his anger got the best of him and he’d snap. His wolf would take over, causing him to shift and lose all sense of self. It wasn’t easy to live with this constant underlying aggression, Chan hated feeling like this all the time. The smallest things could set him off and there was never any rhythm or reason to his outbursts. His sire seems to enjoy setting him off on purpose, like it’s some sick form of punishment because he can’t control his son. Chan doesn’t submit to him like the rest of the pack. Yunseo has always hated the fact that he can’t tame his son. So, he decided the best course of action is to force his son into submission by hanging the well-being of the pack over his head.

His sire considers Chan unruly and believes having a proper mate can tame him. He wants the pack completely under his control for as long as he remains pack alpha. It’s no secret that the members of the pack prefer Chan over Yunseo. Underneath all of Chan’s aggression, the alpha is kind and cares deeply about his pack members. Everyone feels his sincerity when he’s around. It’s genuine in a way that the pack alpha lacks and making his son mate with Hwayoung was his way of inserting his dominance and reminding the pack and his son of who’s truly in charge. Chan has bent the knee to his sire’s wishes but that doesn’t mean he isn’t blunt about his disdain for this entire situation.

The alpha is sensitive to certain smells and everyone’s scent in the Cheong pack irritates him. Hwayoung’s scent repulses Chan the most. It's a clear sign that they aren’t compatible but for the wellbeing of his pack, it doesn’t matter. As long as his family's safety is secure, he’ll have to tolerate her. The pack is divided on their views of this mating. It’s mainly the elders of the pack that think the mating between Hwayoung and Chan is a great idea. But the alpha’s closest friends and young adults around their age disapprove. In the end, it doesn’t matter because the pack alpha has gotten his way, leaving his son miserable with an omega he couldn’t stand.

Chan is almost to his cabin when he hears footsteps running behind him. The overpowering and nauseating scent of lemon and pine fills his nostrils and he snarls. It almost makes him gag, his inner wolf truly can’t stand it. A hand touches his shoulder one second and then the next, Chan is slamming a body against the nearest tree. Hwayoung moans when her back hits the bark, her long black hair falling in her face. Her smile is triumphant as she stares up at him, wide and bright hazel eyes gleaming with excitement.

“I certainly hope you’re this rough with me when you claim me as the next Luna of the Bahng pack.” He snarls at Hwayoung’s words and she whimpers, clearly affected by it but Chan can smell her arousal when she begins to squirm in his hold. He pushes her away in disgust and the omega giggles. “Oh, don’t be shy alpha, in just a week, we’ll be together for life. You’ll be the pack leader of the Bahng’s and I’ll be your Luna. Perfect match.”

Chan doesn’t bother to respond initially. He’s been dealing with her nonsense since their first meeting. The entire Cheong pack has become power hungry, so eager to reap the benefits of association with the Bahng’s. It makes Chan sick to his stomach, causing the resentment he has towards his sire grow even more for doing this to him.

“You will only have the title of Bahng Luna in name only. My pack will never accept you as my true mate.”

She shrugs at his words, completely unbothered by the lack of acceptance that will befall her in the future. “That doesn’t matter when I’ve got you as my mate and I’ll be the Luna of the strongest pack in the region. Being disliked doesn’t matter to me.”

“And this is exactly why you’re not fit to stand by my side,” Chan snaps, Hwayoung’s eyes widen before turning furious.

“What’s that supposed to mean? I was hand chosen by the pack alpha. I’m the perfect mate!”

“No, you’re not. In this pack, the leader is there to guide, not rule. In my pack, no one is above others. We live for each other. You’ve been here less than a month and you think you’re above them all. And if you think you’re above one member of my pack, that means you think you’re higher than me. I’d sooner mate you for the sake of my pack and then toss you out to rot. You don’t deserve to call yourself Luna, no matter what my sire says. Remember that,” Chan hisses before pushing away from her and stomping back to his cabin.

“If you value your life, you won’t follow me,” he growls over his shoulder. Hwayoung is smart enough to heed his warning.

When Chan gets to his cabin, the alpha slams his front door so hard he nearly takes it off its hinges. He begins to pace around his small living room, hands yanking at his long dark hair to prevent himself from tearing his home apart. Hyunjin has done a lovely job decorating, he’d hate to ruin all of his friend’s hard work. Chan still can’t believe his sire decided the rest of his life for him. Using the people Chan cares about the most as leverage is disgusting. Yunseo took advantage of the knowledge that his son would react to the smallest of threats towards his pack. It was cruel. Meanwhile, his dam Dalrae has done nothing to try and stop his mate. It was infuriating how the Bahng pack prided itself on equality amongst subgenders, yet Chan’s dam submitted to all of the pack alpha’s whims. Not once had Dalrae stuck up for his son.

It was infuriating! Chan feels like there’s no one on his side that can make his sire see reason. This is wrong, all of this isn’t right. He snarls, feeling the familiar sensation or rage tracing up the center of his spine and settling at his gums. He grits his teeth, palms clenching into fists as his claws start to elongate. Chan tries to remain in control but his wolf refuses to allow it. He quickly rushes through his cabin and stumbles out the back door. He hastily sheds his clothes, in order not to rip them apart. Chan is in the middle of taking off his shirt when he falls onto all fours, a howl loud enough to shake the trees escapes him. Claws dig into the dirt as he feels himself begin to change, his mind becoming lost to his wolf. He shifts completely, a large grey wolf taking the place of his human form.

Chan snarls again before he takes off into the forest behind his cabin. The feral creature has no sense of direction, he just lets his instincts guide him further into the thicket. The wolf lets himself get lost, it's still midday, yet the moon is high in the sky, and Chan allows it to guide him. He doesn’t know how long he sprints, getting further and further away from his village. Chan runs hard enough to overexert himself but it feels good. The ache in his muscles is the perfect distraction to ebb away his anger and to fuel his pace.

The alpha runs for so long that he ends up just outside of the Bahng’s territory. The alpha can’t explain why his body pulls him in this direction but the river banks and the moon are calling to him, telling Chan that this is his perfect escape from his circumstances. The alpha halts, almost toppling over his own legs from the sudden force with which he stops. The most intoxicating scent to ever grace his scenes crashes into him. An addicting blend of peaches, vanilla and jasmine fills the air. The pheromones cause him to shift back to human. Suddenly Chan feels ravenous and he’s up and running again, desperate to find the source of the intoxicating aroma. Chan’s canines begin to ache again, the urge to sink his teeth in and devour that delectable scent draws him in and chips away at the last threads of his sanity. He craves that rich and strong overtone of peaches, he needs it so viscerally that he’ll tear the entire forest down if he doesn’t find it soon.

It feels like time stops when he enters a clearing. Right at the edge of a river bank is the most beautiful wolf Chan has ever seen. Resting on top of a moss covered boulder is a wolf with fur that shines golden under the glow of the sun. They are sleeping peacefully, yet their scent wafts around them and floods Chan’s senses. The ripest smell of a summer’s peach courses through the alpha and he sighs in bliss. Never in his life has Chan experienced pheromones so soothing, and compelling. A mere sniff of this omega has the alpha’s head feeling fuzzy, like the first sip of sweet berry meade during pack celebrations. Chan can almost taste it on his tongue. It’s euphoric and becomes more intense the longer he stays in this omega’s presence.

He’s drawn in like a moth to a flame, body moving on its own. The alpha can feel his mind slipping and his wolf taking over again the closer he comes. The omega startles awake, snout tilting up to sniff the air. A twig cracks under Chan’s bare feet and the golden wolf’s face snaps towards him.

At that moment, it feels as if time freezes and the forest goes silent. Warm brown eyes lock onto Chan’s and suddenly, the wolf is shifting into their human form. Chan stumbles backwards, the most stunning creature standing naked in front of him. The sun shines brightly behind the omega and makes them appear ethereal, skin and golden hair glowing, freckles scattered over their skin like the stars in the sky. Chan is enraptured, cock stirring at sight in front of him. He feels hypnotized. The omega clearly feels the same. Their eyes sparkle with desire and yearning, almost like their minds have synchronized. Chan sees the exact moment his cedarwood and patchouli scent starts to affect them. The blending of their pheromones is perfect and nothing has ever felt as pleasant or more right than this moment.

The omega moves towards him and Chan matches his movements. The two of them slip deeper into a floaty headspace, letting their instincts take over. Both walk closer until they’re meeting in the middle of the clearing. By the time they’re face to face, Chan already feels drunk off the omega’s pheromones and it’s clear the omega is just as affected. They’re so close that they can feel each other’s breath as they take each other in. Their eyes dilate, breathing becoming labored and when their gazes lock again, something clicks and then they’re pouncing on each other.

Lips connect and it sparks a fire in Chan’s veins, he snarls while the omega whimpers against him, wrapping his arms tight around the alpha’s neck to get him as close as possible. Their connection is desperate and greedy as they lock lips, tongues clashing. The omega gasps, head tilting back and exposing their throat to Chan in submission. Their lithe body begins to rut against his, their pussy rubbing against his thigh, causing Chan’s nostrils to flare and his inner wolf to howl with lust. His omega is already so wet, slick trickling down the alpha’s thigh as the beautiful creature takes what they need and humps his leg. Chan cups their ass and squeezes hard, moving his hands to guide his hips. He’s already addicted to the omega’s scent, and can taste peaches and vanilla on his tongue, thick like syrup.

The omega nips at his throat, Chan’s cock twitches in between them, heavy and aching. They look down in between them, glassy eyes staring at his length in awe. They bite their lip in obvious desire and begin to purr with need. It’s enough for the alpha to growl with want, then Chan is lifting them up by the backs of their thighs. He carries the omega over to the closest tree and roughly presses their back against it. They mewl from the force of it, yanking at Chan’s hair to pull him in closer for a kiss. The omega bucks his hips forward and they moan into each other’s mouths as the alpha’s cock slips in between his folds, the head nudging against the underside of their clit. Sweet slick lathers Chan’s cock as he slowly rocks his hips through the wetness. It’s so warm and he needs to be inside of this omega, aching to be consumed by their entire being.

His tip catches on the omega’s hole before pushing through their folds. They both groan, he nips at Chan’s neck impatiently and that’s enough for the alpha to guide his cock to the omega’s entrance and he begins to slip inside. The omega’s sharp claws dig into the back of Chan’s shoulders as he sheathes himself inside his core.

It’s pure bliss, wet and tight warmth massages his cock better than any partner Chan’s ever had before. This omega has ruined him. Chan is completely enraptured from simply being inside them. He can’t have anyone else after this. Chan refuses to have anyone else. He begins to thrust in earnest, too high off the omega to slow down. He’s rough and fast as he fucks into the omega.

The omega wraps their legs around Chan tighter, desperately trying to get him deeper than what’s possible. They whine high against the alpha’s mouth. The feral pace they’ve made is enough for their orgasms to hit fast and unexpectedly. Chan bites into his shoulder and the omega’s claws sink into his back as he slams into them hard and cums, shooting deep inside them. A messy combination of their fluids gush down in between the omega’s legs and splatter onto the dirt. The squelching noise makes Chan’s cock twitch and they stay like that for a while before he begins to pull out.

Chan still feels high and his carnal need for the omega is still strong. He’s cum that hard and he hasn’t even popped a knot yet. He’s still painfully hard. His thirst for this omega is unquenchable, he needs to fill them again. His omega must think the same because suddenly Chan is shoved away from them hard enough that he stumbles back and falls on his ass. The omega is pinning him down in the dirt, straddling his lap in a flash. Chan huffs when his back hits the ground, but he growls low in satisfaction.

The omega gets a good grip on Chan’s pecks and they shift backwards to sink down onto the alpha’s cock. They go down slowly, as if trying to savour the drag of Chan’s length against their walls. Chan grips onto their waist tightly, his own nails digging into the delicate skin. The omega whimpers, eyes going a little crossed. The alpha’s mouth waters at the way the other’s stomach bulges, the imprint of his dick visible. He’s going to breed this beauty so well. The omega keeps him pressed down in the dirt as they take what they want and begin to bounce on Chan’s cock properly. The blending of their scents is divine as the omega fucks themself. The wet, tight heat surrounding him is heavenly and his omega is producing so much slick that it drenches Chan’s lap. The slapping sound of their skin is like music to his ears and he can feel the base of his cock start to swell. Chan tightens his grip on the other’s hips and he growls at the way the omega clenches around him. He begins to fuck up into him hard causing them to purr.

They continue their pace like wild beasts and as Chan feels his knot grow bigger, it gets harder to pull out of his omega. He flips them over, and begins to pound harder into the omega. His growls are guttural as he continues to try and force his knot into the omega. His mind screams at him to claim this ethereal creature and make them his forever. They whimper as they stare up at Chan, eyes begging him to make them his. The omega bares their neck to him and the alpha doesn’t hesitate to dive in and sink his teeth into the omega’s scent gland, just as his knot locks into place inside of them. Chan feels sharp teeth pierce his neck in the same place and then his hips stutter and he’s coming hard. Chan feels the rush from their mating instantly, they keep their teeth embedded in each other’s necks as they ride out their orgasms. Their bodies continue to rock together even in the afterglow. It feels like an intermission for now, both still delirious and unfulfilled. They’re still hungry for more and their bodies heed the call, the alpha’s hips continuing to move, despite the limited space to do so. They retract their teeth from each other’s skin and their lips clash together in a mess of crimson saliva. The desperation in their actions shows that there's no signs of stopping anytime soon.

☾𖤓

When Chan comes back from his feral induced haze, it’s to the sight of the most radiant omega he’s ever seen, sleeping peacefully with his knot nestled deep inside of them. Their position is awkward, the alpha in between the omega’s legs on the mossy ground of the forest. All of Chan’s weight is pressed on top of him, yet the omega sleeps undisturbed. Their arms are above their head and their white-blonde hair fans out like a halo. Right on the junction between their neck and shoulder is a fresh claiming bite, crusted with blood. What shocks the alpha the most is that for the first time in his life, Chan feels calm. Settled.

The thick aroma of the omega’s peach scent has hints of vanilla and jasmine that soothes his inner wolf and keeps the beast’s rage at bay. Chan realizes this omega he’s just claimed is his mate. His inner wolf howls in triumph. Chan’s no longer forced to mate Hwayoung because he’s already claimed by the omega he’s meant to be with. His heart jumps into his throat, and he becomes aware of the dull ache of a fresh bite on his scent gland. Cedarwood and patchouli thickens in the air from elation. He’s now mates with a complete stranger he found in the middle of the woods, yet every fiber of Chan’s being knows this is the best thing that has ever happened to him. It feels too right not to have been fated.

The alpha’s knot still hasn’t gone down and Chan knows the two of them will be connected for a long while. He rolls them onto their sides, hoping it will make things comfier for his mate. The omega begins to stir, jostled from the shift in movement. Chan waits on bated breath as his mate stirs awake. They blink and Chan is confronted with the most beautiful and inviting brown eyes he’s ever seen. The omega whimpers from how full he suddenly feels, Chan tries to soothe them by running his fingers through their hair.

“Yeah, it is crazy, but oddly perfect, I feel like it was meant to happen this way. Does that make sense?” To Chan’s shock, his mate leans forward and kisses him, a light press of lips that sends sparks through his body like a fire. It feels so right and it doesn’t matter that they’re complete strangers. The connection he feels with Felix is so strong and pure that everything else is irrelevant.

“I completely understand,” Felix whispers as he pulls away from his alpha’s lips. “This feels perfect, like everything was meant to happen this way.”

“Why are you out here by yourself?” Chan asks, placing his hand on the swell of his omega’s back.

“I actually ran away from my pack,” Felix confesses with pride instead of shame. “They wanted me to mate with one of the pack alpha’s sons, but I hate him. My pack's elders are full of arrogant wolves. I’m considered one of the most sought after omegas in my pack because of my looks. He would’ve treated me as some kind of trinket and my parents didn’t care. I didn’t want that for myself—there’s more to me than my appearance,” Felix continues to explain and Chan holds him closer. “The idea of mating with anyone in my pack repulses me, I’d rather be a lone wolf than subject myself to the life they wanted for me. It just didn’t feel right, and I don’t know how to describe it but when I fled, my instincts brought me here. I guess I know why now.”

Chan kisses Felix tenderly and rests their foreheads together. “I am- well was promised to another omega that I was only going to mate for the sake of my pack. I’m next in line as pack alpha and my sire thought Hwayoung would be a perfect match for me, but everything about her and her pack disgusts me. I ran off because I needed space to get away and breathe.” The omega in his arms freezes.

“Did you just say Hwayoung? As in Hwayoung from the Cheong pack?” Felix’s eyes widen in utter shock. Chan tilts his head in question.

“Yes, do you know her?”

“The Cheong pack is the one I ran away from,” Felix confesses and Chan can’t believe his ears. This is all such a bizarre turn of events.

“Really?” He whispers in disbelief. “That's the pack you’re from?”

“I was set to mate with her brother, Hwanjoon, by the next full moon. The heads of the pack wanted to wait until after his sister joined her new pack. I wasn’t paying attention when they announced the one she was joining, too upset about my own mating to care. But I remembered it was a powerful pack.”

“Well, she won’t be joining the Bahng pack now.” Chan laughs softly, his omega giggling along with him. “My sire is going to be so furious when we get back and I introduce you as my mate.”

“You seem happy about that, but aren't you worried about what he’ll do?”

“My sire can’t do shit to me. The only reason he wants this union between Hwayoung and I is to control me. I’m much stronger than he is, and the majority of my pack respects me more than him. They’re waiting in anticipation for the day I become pack alpha and he hates that. This union is his attempt to tame my wolf, and put me in place but all it’s done is aggravate me more. That’s why I ran away from the village and into the forest. My wolf was ready to retaliate and I felt borderline feral. I didn’t want any of my pack members to deal with my anger, so I fled and let my wolf run free. I was hoping that this would calm me down, but I never could have imagined that it would lead me here to you,” Chan explains. Felix smiles softly, rubbing his thumb over his alpha’s cheek.

“I guess both of us knew where we truly needed to be.” He nuzzles closer, burying his face into his alpha neck and breathing in his scent. “We’re right where we’re meant to be. How long do you think we’ve been out here?”

“It’s definitely been a while. We got so scent drunk that it made us both delirious and created some kind of faux heat and rut. I’m pretty sure we’ve been fucking for days, my pack is probably freaking out and searching for me. I don’t know how far my wolf has run but I know it’s out of our territory.” The mates both snicker at the situation. No longer in a scent induced haze, their bodies are catching up to reality. Felix’s stomach growls, he squeaks in embarrassment. Chan smiles softly and pecks his lips. “Hopefully my knot goes down soon so we can leave and head back to my village and eat. I have to make sure my mate is properly fed.”

“I’m actually very content like this,” Felix purrs, moving his hand in between them to press his palm against his stomach. He moans at the slight bulge from how deep Chan’s cock is buried inside of him. “You feel really good inside me, alpha. I’m so full.”

Chan growls low at those words, already feeling a spike in arousal, dick twitching inside of his omega and making them both moan. “Darling, if you start this, we’ll both never leave this forest.” The term of endearment is impulsive, but fitting, and Felix hums in delight at the sound of it.

“Would that be such a bad thing? Just the two of us in the middle of the forest alone while you keep me on your knot for days on end. I wouldn’t mind that, it sounds like a dream.”

“If that happens, by the time we do manage to leave the forest, you’re going to come back to my village thoroughly bred and pregnant.”

Felix laughs, high and airy. “We’ve already skipped a bunch of steps to get to where we are now, might as well add a child into it,” he jokes, but Chan finds he wouldn’t mind if that was the end result of this coupling. “At least if you fuck me now, we’ll both be coherent for it.”

“Something tells me that I’ve just become mates with a very feisty omega.” Chan rolls them back around so Felix is underneath him again. His mate purrs and spreads his legs wider, trying to take Chan deeper than he already is. Arms wrap around his neck as the alpha rocks his hips forward as much as he can with his knot still locked inside of his mate’s tight cunt. They both gasp from the jolt of pleasure. Wanton moans fill the air as the alpha tries to thrust into Felix again. The omega kisses Chan sweetly before a wicked smirk graces his lips.

“Oh, Chan, you have no idea how much of a menace I can be.”

The alpha kisses him back with a fevered intensity. “I can’t wait to find out,” Chan says between kisses as he takes Felix on the forest floor again.

☾𖤓

The sun is rising again when the newly mated pair have fulfilled their carnal desires and their minds have cleared up enough to function. It’s then that they reluctantly decide it’s time to face Chan’s pack. With a tender kiss to Felix’s lips, the alpha finally slips out of his omega and carries his sleepy mate over to the river. They rinse off and sit on the bank as they dry off and enjoy the morning’s summer breeze. Felix sits in between Chan’s legs and the alpha holds him in a tight embrace. The omega tilts his head to kiss his mate’s shoulder.

“Do you think your pack will accept me?” Felix whispers, insecurity clear in his voice as his decadent scent begins to sour. Chan nuzzles his face into his omega’s neck to soothe him.

“My core circle of friends are going to adore you. I’ve already told you my parents are going to be furious and the elders probably will be, too. Maybe some others, mainly out of shock. My mating ceremony to Hwayoung was supposed to be soon. I’ve disappeared and come back with a mate, it’s going to cause chaos, but once everything dies down I’m sure they’ll accept you. They’ll learn to love you like I’m learning to right now.”

“This is actually insane.” Felix laughs, tone light and joyous. “We’re strangers that got so scent drunk that we mated. I should be horrified that we’re bound for life, yet nothing has ever felt so right. I can’t explain it, but I know that I’m going to fall for you so hard. You’re everything I’ve ever wanted, I just know it.” He looks at Chan with so much adoration in his eyes that it makes the alpha’s water.

“Me too. I feel it too, I get what you’re trying to say. I had accepted that I would never have a mate that cared for me. I was ready to sacrifice my happiness for the pack, love was never an option. But with you, this scarily intimate connection we already have, I-I know I’ve found it,” Chan whispers and Felix looks like he’s close to crying as well.

“What’s going to happen when we get back to your village?”

“I don’t know, but what I do know is that I’m not abandoning you. I’m already next in line for pack leader, regardless of who my mate is, but if I have to challenge my sire in order for you to stay, I’ll do it. Or if we’re forced to leave, then we can start our own pack together, I don’t care. It doesn’t matter that this is all so unexpected, I’m not losing you to anything.”

“Oh, goddess, stop it. You’re going to make me cry.” Felix sniffles, wiping at his eyes. Chan pecks his lips.

“Sorry, Peaches.”

“Peaches, huh? I like it,” Felix snickers.

“Ready to face my pack?”

Felix looks at him for a long while taking all of Chan in before nodding in determination. “Yeah, I’m ready. Let’s go.”

So they do. The new mates shift into their wolf forms and begin the trek back to the Bahng territory. They leave no space between them as they take their time trotting through the forest, neither in a rush to face the wrath of Yunseo and the Cheong pack.

Chan takes in the familiar scent of home when they get close, grateful that his cabin is right on the edge of the thicket with few buildings around. It makes it easier for Chan and Felix to enter his home without being noticed, giving them time to change and get properly dressed before facing his pack. Unfortunately for Chan, his circle of friends is too close for comfort sometimes. The moment he and his new mate shift back and step through the threshold of his cabin, he is greeted by three of his best friends sitting at his dining table.

Changbin halts in his pacing at the sight of them, Jisung’s jaw drops from where he sits at the table and Jeongin, who is kneeling in front of Chan’s fireplace stoking a fire, stares, dumbfounded. A series of shouting and too many questions to keep up with bombard them all at once, causing Felix to shyly hide behind his mate. At the souring of his scent and obvious discomfort, Chan growls. His friends instantly clamp their mouths shut.

“I will answer all of your questions but first let my mate and I put on some clothes. And we also need to eat.”

“Your mate?!” They all scream in unison, but all it takes is a glare for them to shut up again.

“Clothes and food first.” His friends nod, allowing Chan to guide Felix into his bedroom. He can hear their whispers from outside the door but he brushes them off for the moment. His focus is solely on making sure his mate is comfortable.

“They don’t seem mad,” Felix says, his demeanor tense and his scent sours slightly. Chan can tell his mate is still nervous, so he moves into the omega’s space to kiss him deeply.

“They’re three out of the six of my closest friends. Trust me, once they get to know you, they’ll probably try to steal you from me,” Chan jokes but he knows there’s truth to his words. He’s already so endeared by his mate that the alpha won’t be surprised when his friends instantly take a liking to Felix as well. The omega hums and lets his mate rummage through his dressers to find him appropriate clothes. Although they’re the same height, their size difference makes it difficult for Chan to find clothes that aren’t too big for his mate. He eventually settles on beige trousers he hasn’t worn in almost two years. None of the alpha’s tunics are small enough to truly fit Felix. The omega is practically swimming in the garment he’s given, the black tunic hangs off his left shoulder and the sleeves that were short on Chan drape past Felix’s elbows.

With a few more kisses exchanged, the couple makes their way back to the living room to find that Jisung is no longer there.

“Where’s Jisung?” Chan asks.

“He went to find Minho. We just finished our afternoon meals and Jisung went to see if there’s any extra helpings for you to eat,” Jeongin explains.

“It’s a good thing you came back when you did,” Changbin snorts. “If you stayed out there one more night, your sire was going to bring out a search party.” Chan winces at the mention of the pack leader. “Care to tell us how you ran into the forest to release your anger and came back mated?” He inquired, leaving no room for arguments.

Chan sighs heavily as he pulls out the seat next to Jeongin. As soon as he sits down, he brings Felix into his lap. The omega squeaks in surprise but smiles as he wraps Chan’s arms around his middle. “It’s really straight forward, honestly-” the alpha begins before going into a simple and to the point explanation of the previous events. Felix gives his input here and there, but lets Chan do most of the talking. Jisung comes back with Minho, Hyunjin, and Seungmin in tow, bringing with them the requested food. The alpha starts the story over and by the end of it, the six of them are sporting identical expressions of amusement. Minho was already setting up plates for Chan and Felix, while Jeongin placed cups of warm tea in front of them.

“Of course you would get so scent drunk that you end up mated to a random omega in the woods a week before your mating ceremony to someone else. That’s just so you, Chan.” Hyunjin cackles before turning to his fellow omega. “Hi, Felix, I’m Hyunjin and I can already tell that you and I are going to be best friends.”

“Not if I make him my best friend first!” Jisung chimes in. The two of them bicker playfully, while the rest of the table introduces themselves to Chan’s mate. Felix feels his heart swell with excitement. He can already feel the difference between this pack and his birth pack and he’s glad these wolves stumbled into his life.

“Your parents and the elders are going to be furious, Chan,” Seungmin points out and Felix bites his lip nervously. His alpha begins to hand feed him grapes to calm him down, rhythmic movements working wonders for Felix. The omega melts into Chan’s touch, letting the thick scent of patchouli and cedarwood calm him.

“Well, there’s nothing they can do about it,” Chan shrugs. “I’m mated now. Our agreement with the Cheong pack can still be considered valid if they accept Felix as my mate.”

“Huh?” His friends gaze at him in confusion.

“I’m part of the Cheong pack,” Felix starts to explain. “I ran away because the pack alpha wanted me to mate with his son and I hated him.”

“So, clearly, the Cheong pack sucks,” Minho snorts. “As wishful thinking as that notion is, I highly doubt any party involved will accept this.”

“Well, unless my sire wants me to challenge him for pack leader, then he’ll accept it. The Cheong’s are no longer relevant to our pack.”

“This is going to cause an uproar,” Seungmin groans.

“Let’s just get this over with,” Chan grumbles. “The sooner this is over with, the faster I can truly get to know my mate.”

“This is gonna be a fucking disaster,” Jisung huffs before winking at Felix. The omega lightly trembles from nervousness, but Chan kisses his temple and holds him tightly.

“Don’t worry, baby, everything will turn out fine, I promise.”

Felix can’t put into words how safe and cared for he feels with these people, even though they’ve just met him. Chan holds him like he’s something precious and the rest of his friends are already treating him like he’s part of the pack. With the Cheong wolves, Felix never truly felt like he belonged with them. He was always viewed as nothing more than an omega with a pretty face—better to only be seen than heard. The pack alpha’s son, Hwanjoon, only wanted Felix as his mate because together they “would have offspring worthy of the Cheong family name.” It made Felix sick and he would rather die than live his life with no other purpose than to breed. So, Felix fled and ended up mated to a stranger, with no idea what he’s in for. He could possibly be bound to someone worse than Hwanjoon. Yet the omega knows deep in his heart that he’s going to be cherished and taken care of for the rest of his life. Here with Chan and the Bahng pack is where Felix was always meant to be.

☾𖤓

“Of all the insolent things that you’ve done, this act of defiance is taking things too far!” Yunseo hollers in pure fury as he stands above them all on the dais in the middle of the village square. The entire Bahng pack is gathered in the center of their territory. Different levels of confusion, anger and even relief fill the space.

In the center of it all, is Chan and Felix. The once nervous and afraid omega now stands tall with his head held high, hand clasped tightly in his alpha’s hold. Chan’s dam stands beside his mate, gaze downcast and docile like always. Next to the pack leaders are the Bahng’s most important elders, along with the Cheongs. Hwayoung is an inconsolable mess, sobbing into her dam’s arms and glaring daggers at Felix.

“And you, Felix!” Myungdae snarls. “I can’t believe that you would go to such lengths to whore yourself out just to spite us.”

Chan sees red at the older alpha’s disrespect. “Do not speak to my mate in such a way,” Chan growls. “Unless you want me to tear you limb from limb, I suggest you watch the way you speak to him.” The Cheong’s leader backs away in forced submission by the bass in Chan’s voice. “As I’ve already explained to you, what happened between Felix and I was out of our control. There is nothing we can do to take it back and I don’t want to take it back. We’re mated and since Felix is still part of the Cheong pack, this arrangement can still be upheld.”

“The agreement was for Hwayoung to become your mate and the next pack luna, not Felix. I won’t accept anything else. The moment Felix ran away, he forfeited his right to be considered part of the Cheong pack,” Myungdae snaps.

“Then I guess that means that the arrangement you made with my sire is off the table, seeing as I am now mated to someone else that isn’t part of your pack.”

“This is ridiculous-!” Myungdae shouts.

“Chan can still bite Hwayoung and she can become the next luna-” The snarl that Chan lets out brings almost everyone to their knees. He cuts off his sire’s ludicrous idea before he has the chance to finish.

“Unless you want me to challenge you right here and now for the position of pack leader, I suggest you shut the fuck up,” Chan growls, eyes full of fury from Yunseo’s audacity.

Everyone gasps in shock, some members beginning to herd their pups away. No one wanted their children to see the gruesome sight, if it came down to it. A challenge for leadership in the Bahng pack was to the death and Chan is the strongest member of the Bahng pack. If Yunseo accepts his son’s challenge, it will be a death sentence and everyone knows it.

“You would betray your pack and challenge me for this omega that you don’t even know? Really, Chan? Don’t be ridiculous.”

“Yes,” Chan speaks with finality. “I’m not betraying anyone, I’m trying to stay civil and work things out peacefully. But if I have to challenge you for pack leader in order to make it clear to everyone that Felix is my one and only mate, then so be it.” He looks his sire dead in the eyes as he speaks, leaving no room for anyone to doubt him.

Felix grabs his arm in shock. “Chan, you don’t have to do this for my sake. We can leave, we’ll start our own pack.”

“You’re my mate. You deserve to stand by my side as a member of the Bahng pack.” He turns back to his sire. “So, what’s it going to be? Either you accept our bond right now and remain as pack leader until you retire the title or I take your position now and arrange a funeral pyre."  Everyone waits with bated breath to see what their pack leader will do.

“You will really tarnish the reputation our pack has upheld for centuries over an omega you hardly know?  It’s despicable.”

“It will not change the fact that we’re still the strongest pack in the region—this will have no impact whatsoever on our status,” Chan counters back. This has nothing to do with the Bahng reputation. His sire’s ego has taken a huge hit, Yunseo’s last ditch effort to control his son failing, and he knows it. And now, he’s given the choice to either accept that or die. Chan already knows he’s won, his sire is too prideful to go against his son in a challenge for pack leader.

Chan sees the moment his sire accepts defeat. Yunseo’s jaw clenches so hard that he might crack his teeth. His scent of rosewood heavy and rotting with fury is thick in the air and between Chan’s own burning anger, everyone is borderline bowing in submission. Felix whimpers, clearly overwhelmed and Chan holds him close, looking his sire in the eyes as he kisses his mate’s forehead. Yunseo snarls but lets it go.

“It seems that our agreement to join our packs has been terminated,” Yunseo grits out as he turns to Myungdae. The other pack leader gapes at him incredulously.

“You cannot be serious!” Myungdae yells. “This is an outrage and blatant disrespect to the Cheong pack and I won’t stand for it!” He shouts to the crowd. Chan rolls his eyes. He’s had quite enough of this man and his pack.

“And what will you do exactly?” Chan questions calmly. “What will happen if I refuse to give your daughter my mark?” The Cheong leader turns to Chan with blazing eyes but his mouth stays sealed shut. “Should I challenge you as well, to make things equal?”

Myungdae blanches, Hwayoung continues to sob and the rest of the Cheongs have matching expressions of offense. It’s extremely faint, but Chan can smell the slight increase of sweetness in Felix’s scent and it makes his nostrils flare, he can feel the tension in his shoulders easing. The alpha is already adapting to his omega’s scent. And right now, Chan’s aggression is turning Felix on. He needs this to end so they can leave and christen their bed.

“I’ll be more than happy too.” Chan raises an eyebrow waiting for his response, he smirks when the man remains silent. “That’s what I thought. I’ll assume that you’ll be gone by tonight. I’m sure plenty of my pack members are eager to help you pack.”

Chan’s pack continues to stand around in shock, while Yunseo does his best to keep his temper under control. Chan feels Felix tug on the end of his tunic and that’s the alpha’s cue that the conversation is over and he’s done talking.

“If that is all, we’ll be taking our leave. I’ll answer everyone’s questions later but for now I would like to get my mate well acquainted with our territory—starting with our cabin,” Chan muses, causing Felix’s pretty tanned skin to flush as he swats his arm. The alpha simply laughs and pulls his omega in for a deep kiss that is far too inappropriate for their surroundings.

“Mark my words,” Hwayoung seethes, eyes blazing with hatred as she glares at Chan and Felix. “I’ll make you regret this.”

Chan simply smiles at her cruelly. “Trust me, you won’t.” And before anyone can say anything else, the alpha lifts his mate off the ground and into his arms. Felix yelps in surprise as he’s whisked away back to their cabin, leaving Chan’s friends to take over damage control. He’ll deal with the real consequences of his actions later, but right now, he has a gorgeous omega to satisfy.

☾𖤓

Three Years Later

“C-Channie, Chan, alpha, please-” Felix begs, eyes wet and his legs trembling as he sits naked on the edge of their kitchen table. His knees are bent and his feet planted firmly on the wood, his mate sitting in between his thighs. Chan’s plump lips are wrapped around his clit, while two fingers thrust inside of his cunt. Slick gushes from him the omega, trickling down and coating the alpha’s fingers and dripping to the floor. Chan pulls his mouth from Felix and snarls, lip curling at his mate’s essences he’s wasted. The omega squirms, unconsciously trying to close his legs around his mate’s head. A hard slap to his inner thighs makes him go rigid before he throws his head back and moans, high and airy.

“Keep your legs spread,” Chan growls and Felix whimpers, trying his hardest to follow his alpha’s command. “That’s it, stay like that, Peaches. Such a good boy for me.”

“A-Alpha, please,” Felix continues to whimper, concentrating on keeping his thighs apart and with his fists clenching at his sides. “I need you.”

“Be patient, darling, we both know what this is really about.”

“But-”

Peaches,” Chan snaps, stopping whatever pleading is about to spew past his mate’s pretty heart shaped lips. “Behave.” His omega keens, biting his bottom lip so hard that he’s about to draw blood. “You’ll get what you want, I promise, but you have to be patient and let alpha take what he needs first,” Chan’s tone shifts to gentle and loving before kissing the sensitive skin of Felix’s inner thighs. “Pass me the vial, baby.”

With shaky hands, Felix reaches behind himself and blindly pats around the table for the teardrop shaped vial. The container is beautiful, glass encased metal with intricate floral patterns. Chan has a vast collection of pretty glass bottles but this one is his favorite because Felix picked it out. The omega removes the clasp and places the chain to the side and hands his alpha the vial. Chan nibbles on the sensitive flesh of his thigh before sucking a small bruise right at the edge of Felix’s trimmed pubic hair that’s damp from slick.

His mate hisses, bucking his hips forward from the slight pain. Felix’s entire body shudders as he glances down at Chan between his legs. It’s been three years of this and he’ll never get used to the sight of his alpha collecting his slick. “Ch-Channie,” the omega whimpers as his mate starts to rub his clit again.

“Patience, Peaches, I’ll get to you in a moment.”

“You’re taking too long,” he huffs, getting another slap, this time directly on his pubic mound, the base of Chan’s palm hitting his clit. Felix squeaks in surprise, the sharp mix of pain and pleasure making his eyes roll back and his arms give out. He falls backwards, now laying flat against the table.

“Behave,” Chan snarls and Felix melts at the tone, the thick scent of cedarwood and patchouli wafting through his senses. His body begins to feel fuzzy and his mind goes a little dopey.

“Yes, alpha.”

“That’s it, Peaches, you’re being so good for me, baby,” the alpha coos as he watches in fascination as his omega’s slick steadily trickles into the glass vial. He places his free hand underneath to catch the excess liquid that begins to pool into his palm. Chan never wants to waste a drop. His mate’s arousal permeates the air and he inhales deeply, mind going foggy. His eyes dilate as he continues to watch Felix’s cunt in awe as his slick fills the bottle. Chan is so transfixed that the glass almost overflows, there’s just so much. He pulls away, desperately licking his slick-filled palm clean before reaching for the cap beside his mate. Felix is already too far gone in his headspace to pay attention.

He takes the metal cap, the cool feel of the chain brushing against his forearm. Chan screws the top on carefully, making sure it’s secure before putting it around his neck. The necklace now sits pretty against his bare chest. His mate is still needy and whimpering and Chan’s chest fills with unadulterated lust and adoration. “You’re always so good for me, Peaches,” he murmurs against marked skin. It’s all he says before he hooks Felix’s legs around his shoulders and dives into his pussy like a man starved. Chan’s tongue licks a fat stripe up Felix’s folds, prying them open to dip his tongue into his omega’s hole.

A wanton growl escapes Chan as he buries his face in deeper, nose nudging Felix’s clit and brushing against his soaked hair. The sweet delicacy that is the omega’s slick floods his mouth and he feels euphoric, almost out of his body. He loves it, nothing beats the feeling of getting drunk on Felix’s pheromones. Chan lets it consume him fully, taking what he wants, getting high off the sweet blend of peaches and jasmine infused vanilla on his tongue. He’ll never tire of this.

Above him, Felix cries out his name, thighs squeezing the sides of his head as his legs try to pull Chan in closer. He can’t sit up properly but tiny fingers yank at his alpha’s curls. Felix ruts his cunt against the thrusting of Chan’s tongue, praising his alpha’s skills, thanking his mate for making him feel so good.

“O-Oh fuck, Channie, alpha it feels so good, I’m close already- yes,” Felix moans and it does everything to Chan’s ego. His inner wolf beams with pride knowing they’re satisfying their mate. It fuels him, pushing him to bully his tongue in deeper, fucking his sweet peach with the muscle harder. “Fuck yes!” Felix chokes out, back arching off the table. “Chan-baby, I’m close, I’m so fucking close,” he babbles. “Channie, alpha, I’m gonna- ah!” Felix comes hard, squirting into Chan’s mouth, flooding his senses and making him go wild. The alpha swallows it all, not wasting a single drop as he continues to work his tongue inside of his mate until Felix is completely spent.

Chan pulls back and stands, admiring the debauched form underneath him. His beautiful mate is a mess, drool trickling down his chin. Felix’s entire body is shaking, blond hair fanned out like a halo, legs spread wide and pussy so fucking soaked and creamy. Inner thighs covered in bruises with the shape of Chan’s teeth, Felix is wrecked, and the alpha isn’t close to being finished with him yet.

His cock is achingly hard against his stomach and he needs to sink into his mate to satisfy his hunger. Chan kisses Felix greedily, a sloppy clash of their mouths before he pulls away. His sweet peach has no time to react as Felix is manhandled off the table and before his feet are on the ground again, Chan is pressing him back against the wood, torso hitting the warm surface. Felix has no time to speak as his alpha pries his legs open and spears his cock inside his warm, tight cunt.

Felix’s eyes widen and he hiccups out a choked gasp. His hands scramble to find purchase on the table, the solid material rocking as his alpha pounds into him. The omega is an incoherent mess, nonsensical babbling as he moans and cries out for Chan. It’s just so fucking good. It’s always like this, the push and pull of their bodies as they connect on such a deep level—getting high and drunk off each other’s pheromones, adding to the pure bliss of their fucking.

Every thrust of his alpha’s cock is deep and purposeful. A firm hand and sharp nails dip into his tiny waist to keep him in place. Chan’s other arm wraps around his chest and his hand cups his throat, lightly squeezing. Felix’s entire body shudders, pussy clenching around his mate’s cock. Chan hisses, grip tightening, the chain and small glass vial knocking against  Felix’s spine with each thrust. The omega feels so claimed. So worshipped.

“Channie-”

“Fuck, Peaches, you feel so fucking good. You’re so tight and wet for me. Always so amazing with you, baby. Gods, I fucking love you,” Chan snarls, teeth grazing his mating mark.

“Love you too,” Felix whimpers back, he can feel Chan’s knot growing and slamming against his entrance, trying to force its way in. He wants it. Felix is always so greedy for his alpha’s knot. “Alpha, I want it,” he begs. “Want your knot, you’re so deep, I want it all.”

“Fucking hell, Lix,” Chan snarls, “I’ll give it to you baby, alpha’s gonna give you his knot.” His thrusts get harder and Felix screams in ecstasy, the heat rising in his gut again. He’s already so close to cumming.

“Alpha- Channie, please!”

Chan’s thrusts become more erratic the more his omega begs and then, his thick and heavy knot is bullying its way into Felix’s body with a harsh snap of the alpha’s hips, locking him in place. They howl in unison as they both cum, their orgasms crashing through them hard. Chan’s body slumps over Felix, pressing all of his weight on top of him. They pant heavily as they both try to catch their breath, the obscene sound of Felix’s slick splattering onto the floor like music to the alpha’s ears—too much for Chan’s knot to contain. The omega whimpers in embarrassment and his mate chuckles, lips pressing against the nape of his neck.

Chan stands up fully and reaches behind him to pull a chair close. Gently as he can, the alpha lifts his mate up from the table and guides him to sit down. Felix gasps from the new angle, his alpha feels so much deeper as he sits in his lap. Chan wraps his arms around Felix’s back and holds him close, nuzzling his face in his mate’s neck. The omega giggles as Chan starts to purr.

“Well good fucking morning,” Felix teases, squeezing his mate’s forearms. “I didn’t even get a start on breakfast before you pounced on me,” he scolds with no heat in his words. Chan huffs and nips at his shoulder.

“I needed a refill. You know I can’t function without losing my temper if I don’t have your scent with me at all times. Scenting me is never enough,” his alpha murmurs. “I’m sure there’s food in the dining hall, we can just eat there.”

“I know,” Felix whispers, tilting his head back and puckering his lips for a kiss. Chan is quick to give him what he wants. “You’re just gross and need to be semi-drunk on my slick all the time to function,” he teases, and Chan hums in agreement because it’s true.

“Everything about you keeps me in check.”

Felix rolls his eyes lovingly. “I think you’re just obsessed with me.”

Felix’s scent truly was the key to keeping Chan’s anger at bay. His pheromones were soothing to the alpha’s inner wolf, keeping him from breaking loose and going feral. Scenting Chan was fine, but something about Felix’s slick kept the pack alpha lucid and calm. It was why Chan decided to wear it in a necklace at all times. He called it a necessity. Felix knew that his slick seemed to keep Chan in a clear state of mind, but the omega was also positive that his mate kept the bottle of his essence around his neck at all times simply because he was obsessed with the taste.

Chan tilts his face to kiss him deeply. “I am. Have been since the day we met,” he admits with no shame. His words are so honest and tender and Felix really doesn’t know what to do with all the love he’s always given.

“You’re such a sap.”

“For you? Always.” Chan hums, kissing up the side of Felix’s neck. “Thanks for the slick, baby, I’m gonna need it to deal with the elders today.” The pack luna whacks his shoulder for that comment.

☾𖤓

Felix thanks the moon everyday for guiding him to Chan. His alpha was everything that the omega could ever want in a mate. As an alpha, he tended to take charge in situations and provided for Felix by fulfilling his physical and mental needs. His alpha was so giving and caring that Felix wasn’t remotely surprised that his inner wolf went crazy that day in the forest. Chan’s pheromones were intoxicating and so compatible with his own that it was meant to be. Felix in his scent-drunk haze knew he needed to claim the alpha for his own.

Ever since he and Chan solidified their bond, not once had Felix wondered if their mating was a mistake that neither could take back. Instead, the omega had fallen deeply in love with his alpha, and Chan showed him every single day that he’d fallen just as hard. His alpha was nothing like the man Felix was promised to in his old pack. Despite being an omega, his mate had never looked down on his subgender, or made Felix feel small. Chan let his mate do as he pleased, letting him thrive without the pressure of trying to impress the rest of their pack.

Being an alpha, it was a given that Chan sometimes had possessive tendencies. But Felix matched his soulmate’s energy when it came to some of the flirtatious omegas in the pack that stared at his mate for too long. Felix became pack luna a little over a year ago but there were still a few members of the pack that didn’t accept him. Although some members of the pack would never admit it out loud, it was obvious that some elders thought of Felix as some harlot in the middle of the woods that had seduced Chan when he was already promised to another. It used to bother Felix when he first joined the Bahng pack he felt unworthy to stand by his mate's side. But his alpha reassured him everyday that Felix was the best thing that ever happened to him.

Felix loves how Chan never demands compliance, unless one of them is in their rut or their heat, his mate has never used his alpha voice on him in a way that’s against Felix’s will. Unlike the pack alpha and the elders of his former pack, Chan never uses his voice to force his mate or anyone else in the pack into submission. Through his alpha, Felix has gained a family.

The situation had been tense when Chan first brought him back. But Felix has never forgotten how those closest to his alpha had welcomed him with open arms. Chan’s inner circle had taken him under their wing and treated Felix as if he’d always been there. They took care of the omega, helped him adjust to his new life in the Bahng pack. They didn’t treat the omega like he was just a pretty face with nothing to offer. The majority of the pack didn’t instantly write Felix off as arrogant because he was next in line as Pack Luna. Instead, they’d honed in on his skills, and helped him improve and assimilate.

Felix was still grateful for their patience and understanding for welcoming him into their pack with open arms and making him a part of it. Now, Felix was one of the head cooks of the pack. Minho, the pack's main cook and one of their best hunters, had taken Felix under his wing after learning about the omega’s time in the Cheong pack’s kitchens. Felix thrived underneath the alpha’s care, the omega loved his role and adored his pack even more. This was where he truly belonged. These wolves were his true family.

Felix is in the dining hall’s kitchen in the process of cutting up fruit for a punch he’s making for tonight’s dinner when the light and joyous smell of lilies wafts into the space from the back entrance. The pack luna pauses cutting the peach in front of him mid slice. A small smile graces his face as he puts the knife to the side. “Aera,” Felix warns, trying to keep the amusement out of his tone. “If I turn around and one of the cherry tarts is missing, I’m going to tell your dam.” A tiny gasp of shock graces his ears and Felix turns around to see a tiny hand hovering over the table where the treats for dinner are cooling down. The luna turns around and crosses his arms scoldingly.

The little girl that looks the spitting image of her dam squeaks in shock and backs away from the table. “Please don’t tell him!” The six year old begs, her loose curls bouncing as she rushes over to Felix. Tiny hands grip his pant leg and warm brown pleading eyes that are the same as Hyunjin’s stare up at him. “I haven't taken it yet!”

“Oh, so you were trying to steal one,” Felix muses and she whines.

“Lixie!” She pleads, “I didn’t take it, please don’t tell him.” Felix laughs before taking some mercy on the child and taking a tart off the cooling rack and handing it to her.

“Careful, it’s still warm,” he says as Aera takes it, patting her head. “It will be our little secret. Promise.” The pup takes a tentative nibble before her eyes widen from the burst of flavor and then she’s humming in delight and stuffing the rest of the pastry in her face.

“Who’s keeping secrets?” An all too knowing voice asks from the doorway. They both jump in surprise and Aera squeaks before hiding behind the pack luna as if that will help her escape the scolding she’s about to receive. Felix turns his head toward the door and smiles at Changbin. The alpha is leaning against the doorway, arms crossed and eyebrows raised in question.

“Nobody,” Felix smiles at his friend. “Your daughter is simply helping me bake some sweets for tonight’s dinner.”

“Uh huh, sure,” Changbin says sarcastically but smiles at the sight of his daughter peaking her head out from behind Felix’s legs, crumbs on her lips. “Aera is here helping you when she’s supposed to be at her lessons with Yeosang right now.”

“Oh, is she now?” Felix asks accusingly, turning to look at the child behind him. “She didn’t mention that.”

“But, daddy, the lessons are so boring,” she whines. Her adorable pout makes her sire fold.

“Doesn’t matter, you still need to learn. I can’t take care of you forever.”

“Yes, you can,” she huffs, making the adults laugh.

Changbin rolls his eyes. “Go back to your lessons before I tell your dam you’ve been sneaking off to steal Felix’s treats when you should be learning. You know how cranky he is right now.” Aera squeaks, eyes widening at the thought of facing the wrath of a heavily pregnant Hyunjin. She scampers off as her sire shakes his head fondly. “I swear she takes after me,” he chuckles. “Chan and I were always running away from our lessons when we were pups.”

Felix snorts. “I bet you two were a handful.”

“We were complete brats, and with your mate’s temperament-” Changbin shudders, flashing back to the past. “He was tearing up furniture and breaking things all the time. The elders hated it when Chan was in wolf form. He was an extremely rowdy pup, his sire couldn’t control him. Even out of wolf form, he was still his sweet self but there was an underlying aggression. We used to hate playing with Chan, he was so rough and competitive.” Changbin winces this time at the memories and Felix giggles.

“What was Channie like when he lost?”

“Thank fuck, he’s never lost anything a day in his life,” Changbin breathes out in relief. “The world will never know.”

“If I had lost any of our games as pups, I probably would have burned this village to the ground,” the pack alpha jokes as he walks up behind Changbin, resting a hand on his shoulder. “I guess it’s a good thing you were usually on my team, huh?”

Changbin scoffs, and rolls his eyes dramatically. “None of that mattered when we were play-fighting, Chan. I still have some of the scars to prove it.”

The pack alpha shrugs and turns his full attention onto his mate. “Hello, my love. I haven’t seen you all day.”

“We’ve both been busy,” Felix muses as he takes off his apron and tosses it onto a chair. “How did teaching the young ones to hunt go?” the omega asks as he wraps his arms around his alpha’s neck. Chan smiles as he leans forward to peck Felix’s lips.

“It went pretty well. Minjung managed to catch a hare.” Chan beams with pride as if the victory was his own. “Minho was there to guide her and promised to cook it as part of tonight’s dinner. He’ll probably be here soon, he’s going back to his cabin to drop her off with Jisung. Minjung wore herself out.”

“Aww, poor thing,” Felix coos. “I hope you weren’t too hard on her, you’re a pretty intense teacher, Channie.”

“I wasn’t that bad, I had a special something to keep me under control.” His eyes trail down to the glass bottle full of his omega’s slick that’s around his neck with a sly grin on his face. Felix flushes and smacks Chan’s arm. Changbin stands by the treats completely unbothered, managing to swipe one while Felix is distracted. Every adult in the pack knew their new pack alpha kept a vial of his luna’s slick with him at all times. It was a highly unconventional way to keep Chan from going feral but it worked. Their friends had seen worse when it came to their pack leaders. They’d walked in on Chan and Felix fucking on enough surfaces to be unphased by their antics. Just yesterday, Changbin had stumbled across the luna on his knees in the middle of the woods with the pack alpha’s cock down his throat when he was collecting firewood. Seungmin had come whining to him about catching their friends fucking on the side of his and Jeongin’s cabin.

Nobody was phased by how much Felix and Chan couldn’t keep their hands off each other. But as annoying as it was, the pack was happy that Chan found someone that keeps his wolf calm and loves him for who he is without trying to change him. Felix himself was so easy to adore and he had the pack leader wrapped around his finger.

“I’m going to leave and make sure my pup actually returns to her lessons before my mate finds her and we’re both in trouble,” Changbin interrupts them before the couple get too lost in each other and start fucking in front of him. The sexual tension in their scents makes his eyes water and his own arousal stir. The last thing he needs is to be turned on around Chan’s mate, even if his reaction to an omega’s scent is natural. One whiff of his scent and his pack alpha might go feral and kill him over it.

Changbin steps back into the threshold. “I’ll see you both at dinner. And don’t start anything you can’t finish. Minho will be here soon.” And then he’s turning on his heel and walking off. Felix and Chan don’t watch him leave, already sucked back into each other’s orbit, too focused on the world around them. Felix moves closer into his mate’s space, nuzzling his face into Chan’s neck to breathe in his scent. The alpha shudders as his mate nips at his neck. He glances behind the omega and notices the tarts on the table. While Felix is distracted, Chan slowly reaches forward attempting to snag a tasty treat. His fingers are just about to brush against the flakey pastry when a small hand swats him away. Chan hisses and Felix pulls back from his neck to glare at him.

“Between you and Aera, nobody is going to have any for dinner tonight.” Felix scolds, lightly tugging Chan’s curls. “You’ll have to wait.” The alpha pouts but the omega doesn’t budge. “Oh, don’t look at me like that. You’re still not getting any.”

Chan hums and backs Felix against the edge of the table. “Does that mean I get to have you instead?”

“Not on the table I prepare the packs’ food on,” a stern voice chimes in, causing Felix to laugh and Chan to groan.

“Minho,” the pack alpha says dryly.

“Chan.”

“Can’t I get one moment alone with my mate?” Chan whines. Minho rolls his eyes while Felix slips out of his mate’s hold.

“You can spend all the time you want with your mate. Just not in my kitchen,” Minho scolds, leaving no room for arguments as he places the dead hare on the opposite table. “You’ll have to wait for Lix’s full attention a bit longer. I need him to help me with dinner, we’ve got hundreds of mouths to feed. Seulgi, Lily, and Seongwha should be here soon.”

“That’s fine, I'll just stay and observe,” Chan states.

“Absolutely not. If you’re here, then Felix will be distracted and the food will burn.”

“Hey, that was one time!” Felix whines.

“One time too many, the entire pack had to suffer because you two decided to be horny. Never again. Get out,” Minho orders and the pack alpha snarls, his inner wolf rising in agitation from being told what to do. His right hand man remains unbothered. “Oh, don’t give me that. Nothing gets done when you’re around your mate.”

Chan opens his mouth to retaliate but his mouth snaps shut as the sweet smell of Felix’s alluring aroma infiltrates his senses. “Channie,” the omega coos, cupping his mate’s cheeks in his palms and gently forcing his alpha to look him in the eyes. “Alpha, breathe,” he orders and Chan does. The alpha quickly melts under Felix’s touch, his intense red eyes receding back to their gorgeous deep brown. When Chan exhales, he’s back to himself and he tilts his face to kiss Felix’s wrists. “You good?” His omega asks, carding his fingers through Chan’s hair.

“Yeah, I’m okay.”

“Good.” Felix pecks his lips. “Minho is right, baby, you’re a distraction. We’re all over each other whenever we’re together and I have to cook for the entire pack. Go do whatever pack alpha things you have to do. I’ll see you at dinner.”

Chan pouts but lets go of his mate. “Fine, I’ll see you at dinner.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you have an extra treat.”

“Do you mean you or the tarts?” Chan wiggles his eyebrows and Felix laughs and punches his shoulder.

“Oh my goddess, leave!” His luna giggles, gently shoving him towards the door. Chan swoops in for a passionate kiss, leaving Felix breathless when he pulls away.

“I’ll see you later, Peaches,” the alpha murmurs seductively against Felix’s lips. And with a final peck, he turns and leaves, Minho and Felix watching him go. As the pack alpha heads down the pathway, he unscrews the cap of the vial around his neck. Minho groans in annoyance while Felix can feel himself slick up and his soft peach scent spikes at the sight of Chan downing the glass container full of his slick like a shot.

“I’m gonna have to refill that before dinner.” Felix pouts and Minho rolls his eyes, looking between the omega and his pack alpha’s retreating form in disgust.

“You two are insufferable.”

“You love us.”

“Whatever, start cutting up the vegetables while I skin this hare. The others should be here soon.”

Felix wraps his friend up in a hug and Minho tries to act annoyed, but the slight sweetness in his citrus scent gives him away. “Yes Min.” He beams up at the alpha before moving away to get to work. They have a whole pack to feed.

Dinner is a lively affair. The loud bustle of the dining hall blooms with the aroma of delicious food and enthusiastic chatter. Chan sits at the head of the grand table in the center, with Felix by his side. The other six members of his inner circle and their pups surrounding them. At the table to his left sits his parents along with the elders. Chan has accepted his sire’s disapproval of his mate a long time ago. But it still stung that they were no longer on speaking terms. But Chan reminds himself that his sire was the reason for the fall out.

“Channie, try some.” Felix’s voice brought him out of his thoughts. The pack alpha turns back to his mate holding a spoon to his lips. “It’s the stew we made from the hare Minjung caught. I think we did a good job.”  His omega’s eyes are warm with anticipation and Chan can’t help the way his heart melts and his body relaxes. He lets Felix feed him and hums at the taste.

“It’s delicious, baby.” Channie turns to look for Minjung and spots her at the end of the table with her parents. Both Jisung and Minho are beaming with pride at the eight year old. She’s squished in between them a shy smile on her face as they feed her. “You did an amazing job today Minjungie,” Chan tells the little alpha. “I’m proud of you.” He says and she grins widely at him. As if praise from the pack alpha means the world to her. “I have no doubts you’ll be as good of a hunter as your sire.”

“Thank you, Channie.” She says shyly.

Chan nods and turns towards Hyunjin. “Hyune, do you need more food?” He asks and the omega rolls his eyes fondly. Their pack alpha does this every day. Always has to make sure the needs of his entire pack are met. Needs to provide. They adore and appreciate him for it and always indulge Chan when he’s like this. Hyunjin isn’t his mate but their pack alpha has been seriously worried about their friend. This pregnancy hasn’t been easy on the omega.

“I’m fine, Chan. I promise.” Hyunjin reassures, rubbing his round stomach. Changbin nuzzles his mate’s neck. Aera is too busy stuffing her face with the cherry tarts she was promised. “The little one has been a little relentless with the kicking today but other than that I’m good. You don’t have to worry.” He says but they all know their pack leader will worry regardless. Chan lived for his pack and there was nothing above them.

“Well if you need anything just tell me and I’ll get it for you.” Chan commands, it makes the table smile.

“His mate is right here, you know.” Changbin complains with no heat behind it.

“I’ll get whatever you need too.” Chan responds without missing a beat and sounding so serious. His best friend sits back in his seat and huffs. The whole table begins to laugh, completely endeared by their leader. Felix gazes around at his family and a rush of emotion crashes through him. He loves them all so much and at the center of it all is his mate. Felix is so grateful to have them.

Chan turns to his mate and notices the far off and fond expression on his face. Felix’s scent washes over him like a warm mist. He feels fuzzy and light. It’s the way the alpha always feels around his mate. It’s grounding. Chan loves him so much.

The pack leader watches as Felix’s nose twitches and then he’s turning his attention to him. The omega tilts his head in silent question and Chan flushes. He didn’t realize his scent spiked. He impulsively leans in and kisses Felix lovingly on the lips. The taste is sweet and he goes in for another. Chan can’t help himself.

“Save it for when you get home.” Seungmin groans. Taking a crumb off his plate and chucking it at them. Felix sticks his tongue out and leans against Chan’s side. “Once you two start you don’t stop, it's annoying.” Their friend says as his own mate Jeongin nuzzles his face against his neck. The youngest of the group clearly showing pre-rut symptoms.

“Sure we’re the gross ones.” Felix says dryly before giggling. He knows that Chan and himself are obnoxious when it comes to showing their affection for each other but they don’t care.

“They’re right, love.”

“I know, but I love us the way we are anyways.”

“Gross.” Jeongin grumbles, face still buried in Seungmin’s neck.

“At least you have me instead of Hwayoung as your pack luna.” Felix counters, the table collectively sighs in relief.

“Thank the moon for that.” Seungmin praises.

“True, she was only here for a month but she was insufferable.” Jisung groans. “Definitely will take Felix over Hwayoung any day.” Felix laughs because he gets it. The omega grew up with Hwayoung and she’d never been a nice person. Narcissistic and arrogant because she was the pack alpha’s daughter. She didn’t know how to be kind.

“Well it was literal fate that brought Chan and Felix together. Lix was always meant to be here.” Changbin states. The pack luna suddenly feels overwhelmed by the praise. He was still getting used to the affection his new family gave him. Having grown up in a pack where “pretty omegas should be seen and not heard”, to the opposite where his thoughts and opinions were valued was a stark contrast. Felix wasn’t just a decorative object in the Bahng pack. Here he meant something to people.

“Thanks.” He swallows thickly and the table coos at Felix’s sudden wave of emotion. The omega whines and buries his face in Chan’s neck to hide in embarrassment.

“Aw, baby it’s okay.” His alpha whispers against his hair. Chan wraps his arm around his shoulder and rubs Felix’s arm.

“I’m good, I promise.”

“I know, darling.” Chan kisses the top of his head. “I love you.”

“I love you, too. I really do.”

“Will you two stop it and eat?” Minho groans in annoyance, no real heat behind his words.

“I will never apologize for showering my mate with praise.” The pack leader declares, voice beaming with pride.

“Clearly,” Seungmin says dryly. “ You two are still annoyingly obnoxious together. But it’s better than the alternative.” As his friend speaks Felix’s eyes trail past the group and land on the former pack Luna. Dalrae is sitting at the furthest table away from the pack. He’s sitting opposite from his own mate. Yunseo’s back is to Felix. There’s a few other older members of the pack sitting with them. Probably surprised that their former leader is actually eating in the dining hall with everyone else for once. The older man tended to go out of his way to avoid Chan and Felix unless it was for pack meetings. And wherever Yunseo went Dalrae was at his side.

Felix sometimes wonders if he could allow himself to live in isolation to stay loyal to his mate? He knows Chan can be stubborn, but sometimes Felix feels a slight pang of guilt. His mate’s parents wouldn’t be living in self-isolation if he and Chan never mated. Felix tends to let those thoughts go easily nowadays. He is not to blame for Yunseo and Dalrae’s decisions. Yunseo made the choice to turn his back on his son and Dalrae, is a loyal mate that followed their alpha’s command.

To this day they’ve never acknowledged Felix as Chan’s mate. The leaders of the Bahngs weren’t there when the pack had Chan and Felix’s official mating ceremony. Yunseo and Dalrae didn’t even show up when it was time to pass the torch and instate Chan as the new pack alpha. A blunt act of objection. Chan let it all go much faster than Felix had. His alpha made sure his mate didn’t blame himself for his parents’ cruelty. Instead of accepting Chan and Felix’s mating they decided to reject it. And in doing so they’d isolated themselves. They had no one to blame but themselves.

Dalrae looks up from his plate, eyes widening when their eyes lock with Felix. A flash of sadness flashes through Dalrae’s face before it goes blank. The omega quickly focuses back on their plate. Felix doesn’t know how to interpret it, but he can’t help but wonder if the isolation is starting to get to them after three years. The pack luna hopes that maybe it’s a sign of things changing. Felix doesn’t get his hopes up. Even if Dalrae accepts Felix and Chan’s union, he would never go against his mate. Sadly, the new pack luna has long since accepted it.

☾𖤓

Pack meetings were always such a bore and the easiest way to ignite Chan’s irritation. The meetings were the rare moments that the pack alpha saw his sire. The man ignored Chan and Felix like a plague but was always in the great hall sitting towards the head of the table as if he was still the head alpha of the pack. It always made Chan’s teeth ache, canines threatening to elongate and form fully into fangs. His wolf simmering in rage and eager to be released. Chan and his sire butted heads on everything. Yunseo challenged all of his son’s decisions with no true reasoning behind his words. It was like his sire wanted to argue for the sake of arguing. Trying to regain some type of control after he’d already lost so much. It was routine at this point and pack meetings usually ended in shouting matches and Chan abruptly leaving before he lost his temper enough to level the hall to the ground. Unfortunately today was no different from previous pack meetings.

“What you’re saying is that I don’t take threats to this pack seriously.” Chan snarls at his sire sitting at the opposite side of the large oak table.

“That is not what I said.”

“No, but it’s what you implied.” Chan snarls, fists clenched underneath the table, resting on top of his thighs. He didn’t want his sire to see how riled up he was getting. But with the obvious tick in his jaw and the smokey cedar radiating from Chan gave his anger away.

Yunseo scoffs at his son, unimpressed. “I was merely pointing out how blasè you’ve been about the rumors that the Cheong pack is still holding a grudge.”

Chan rolls his eyes. “Because even if the Cheongs want revenge for the fallout of our pack merger there is nothing they can do. Our pack is stronger and has more resources. They’re not a threat.”

“Are you forgetting about the recent mating between Cheong Hwanjoon and the omega from the Park pack?” Chan’s teeth ache at the mention of Hwanjoon, the alpha Felix was supposed to mate with before the omega ran away and found him.

“I’m well aware.”

“Then you know that both packs together could be considered a threat.” Chan snorts at those words. Those miniscule packs have less resources and members. There’s a reason his pack has the reputation that it does. A reason no one has ever dared to challenge them. The only people in danger were the ones that had the audacity to try.

“You seem to forget how strong this pack is.”

“I haven’t forgotten, but there has been a lack of guidance these past few years. It seems that the focus on priorities has shifted.” Chan subconsciously cradles the glass vial hanging from his neck. The light whiff of peaches and jasmine filling his senses and lessening the tension in his muscles. He knows exactly what his sire is implying and it makes his blood boil.

“And when did this change happen exactly?”

“Chan-” Minho warns from his left but the pack alpha rolls his eyes. It seems that his sire forgets who’s the head of the pack now.

“Maybe it’s because you spend most of your days shut away in your hut that you don’t notice or that you’re still bitter, but the pack is thriving even more since my mate has joined. You just refuse to see it.” Chan bites, not in the mood to tolerate his sire’s disrespect towards Felix. The man was trying to provoke him. The only times the former pack leader acknowledged Felix’s existence was to speak about him negatively. Yungseo was so fixated on his grudge and bitter about not getting his way that he refused to see the positive changes that have happened because of Chan’s mate joining the pack.

“And you don’t seem to realize how divided the pack is. Ever since you irresponsibly mated, members of the pack have questioned the integrity of the Bahng’s.”

“No one here is being held captive,” Chan states glaring around the room. “If anyone wishes to leave the pack I will not hold it against them. I will even prepare packages to make sure they have the provisions they need to survive until they can find another pack to take them in. What’s done is done and cannot be changed. Felix is my mate and is now the luna of this pack. He’s done more than enough to prove that he belongs by my side. If that still bothers some people then they are free to leave.” Chan stares his sire directly in the eyes as he speaks. “Including you, sire.”

Yunseo’s nostrils fare and Chan snarls. The pretty vial in his hand shatters in his clenched fist. He curses at the sudden sting of glass cutting into his skin, a gross mix of blood and his mate’s slick pooling in his palm that quickly begins to drip onto the table.

“Fuck.” Minho hisses and jumps into action. Getting up from his chair and forcing Chan out of his. “Jeongin is gonna be so pissed at you for this.” The pack alpha doesn’t really hear his friend, his eyes are still sending daggers at his sire. The man looks smug, arms crossing over his chest as if his son has just proved his point. Chan didn’t prove shit, Yunseo just wanted to be an asshole.

“Changbin, you can finish up here, right?” Chan asks his best friend, voice coming out dry.

“Yes, of course.”

Minho is hauling him out of the meeting hall before anyone can say anything else. “I wish you would control yourself.” Minho snaps as soon as they’re out of the building. “You know he only says these things to rile you up.”

“I will not tolerate him speaking ill of Felix.”

“He does it to get this type of reaction from you. And you take the bait every time.” Minho chastises. “When will you learn?” He sighs.

“It’s been three years, you think he would have let it go by now.”

“The Bahng alphas are well known for their stubbornness,” His friend teases. “Your sire will hold a grudge until the day he passes on. My dam once told me that even when they were pups your sire hated not getting his way. You're rather like him in that regard.”

Chan rolls his eyes, he’s well aware of the stubbornness that runs in his lineage. It was why he loves his mate so much. Felix grounded him and eased his mind. Gave Chan the desire to yield and momentarily give up control and let others lead. There were no expectations, the alpha was allowed to be himself to the fullest with his mate.

“I’m well aware.” Chan grumbles and nods his head in the direction of Minho’s mate rushing up to them. Jisung has a wide smile on his face that turns to panic when he notices the pack leader’s bloody fist. “You’re mates coming this way.” Chan informs his friend. Minho stops fussing over his leader and his head snaps towards his Jisung.

“Oh no, what happened?” Jisung asks, expression full of worry as he rests his palms on Chan’s shoulder.

“Got into an argument with Yunseo and lost his temper, nothing new. Were you with Hyunjin?” Minho explains.

“Yes, I was about to go to the kitchen and see if there were any dried meats and cheese for him to snack on. His cravings are starting to kick in again.”

“Take a detour and tell Felix to head to the healers hut first. I think he’s helping Seungmin with lessons today.” Minho informs his mate. Chan groans, the last thing he wanted to do was send his mate into a panic.

“It’s fine, please don’t bring Felix into this. I don’t need him to worry.” Chan begs.

“On it!” Jisung salutes, ignoring his pack leader’s protests and taking off to find the pack luna.

“Come on, let’s get this glass out of your hand and your wounds cleaned up.” Minho continued to guide him to the healers. Chan was already dreading the lectures he was going to receive from Jeongin and now his mate. “I swear you have got to get your temper in check. You’re sire does this on purpose.”

“He implied that ever since Felix joined the pack it’s gone downhill.” Chan snaps. “You heard him.”

“And you know it’s not true, so why do you let his comments get under your skin?”

“Because it’s Felix. You wouldn’t tolerate disrespect towards Jisung either.”

“True,” Minho agrees. “But I wouldn’t fly off the handle like this every time.”

“You know I can’t help it. And as you can see I’ve just destroyed the one thing that helps.” Chan grumbles as he glares down at his injured hand.

“Don’t act like you don’t have a large collection of bottles at your disposal.”

“Felix picked this one out for me when we visited Seungmin’s old pack. It was special.” He pouts and Minho rolls his eyes as they enter the healers hut. Jeongin is there sitting at a table near the back, eyes trained on a large research book. His eyes snap up when he hears them come in. Pretty fox-like eyes instantly zoning in on Chan’s hand.

“Innie, we’ve got another temper tantrum incident.” Minho informs him. The young alpha sighs and shuts his book.

“Sit him down.” He says dryly as he gets up and heads straight towards the cabinets. “Has someone informed Felix yet?”

“Sung is collecting him now.” Minho tells him and Chan huffs in annoyance, the two of them are treating him like a child.

“I’m capable of getting patched up without my mate present.”

“Yes, but you’re less insufferable when Felix is here to scent you. Your wolf doesn’t like it when you’re poked and prodded.” Jeongin says as he rummages through the cabinets. “Minho, can you rest his arm flat on the table? And Chan, I need you to open your hand and keep it that way.” They both do as they’re told and sooner than expected the sickening scent of rotting peaches pierces the air. The distress in Felix’s pheromones makes Chan slightly shrink in on himself. He hates upsetting his mate. “I swear Chan, you come here injured after every pack meeting your sire attends.” Jeongin chastises, right as he plucks out a small shard of glass from his palm. “I don’t understand how you let this man get under your skin so easily.”

“Where’s my mate?” Felix’s voice is loud and  frantic as he barges into the hut. He’s on Chan instantly. Trembling hands coming up to cup his alpha’s face inspecting him for injuries until his eyes land on Chan’s bloody hand embedded with glass shards. He whimpers at the gruesome sight. “Oh Channie, what happened?”

“He got into an argument with his sire and lost his temper again.” Minho answers for him.

“My love-”

“I know,” Chan cuts Felix off, “I know, darling. I’m sorry.” He hates the disappointment in Felix’s voice.

“I wish you wouldn’t let him get to you. I don’t care what your sire has to say about me. It changes nothing.”

“I know, but it bothers me. It’s been three years, he should have let it go by now.”

“Bahng alphas are quite stubborn, it will take a while before he does that.” Felix rolls his eyes.

Minho snickers off to the side at Felix parroting his previous words. Chan shoots him a glare but his attention is quickly brought back to his mate. The omega moves to stand behind his alpha,  putting his weight on the back of the chair and rests his chin on top of Chan’s head. Slender arms come to wrap around his mate’s shoulders. Felix’s scent sweetens again and the pack alpha breathes it in. His body quickly sinks into the touch of his omega’s warmth.

Jeongin comes to them with a bundle of supplies in his arms and sets them up on the table. He sits down in front of Chan and quickly gets back to work. “What am I gonna do with you, Chan?” The young alpha shakes his head. “We’re going to run out of gauze if you keep getting into arguments with your sire.”

Felix starts nuzzling his face in the crook of Chan’s neck. Cutting off whatever snarky retort the alpha had in response. He’s quickly consumed by his omega’s scent and he lets himself sink into it. Chan’s head feels floaty within seconds, it’s how he always gets when Felix scents him. It’s all encompassing and it gets Chan drunker than the saccharine wine ever could. Higher than he’s ever been, it’s euphoric. The pack alpha is so lost in his mate’s pheromones that he doesn’t feel Jeongin’s process of cleaning away the mess and extracting the glass from his palm. Felix holds him through it, face buried in his neck. Nipping at the skin over his scent gland. Small hands trailing down to slip underneath his shirt to rub his shoulders. It’s far more erotic than it should be. Jeongin rolls his eyes and Minho groans in exasperation when the spice in Chan’s scent increases. It starts to clog up the room and his right hand man gags when the sweet peach aroma of Felix’s own scent intensifies.

“I’m going to head back to the meeting and work on damage control. Good luck Innie dealing with whatever weird foreplay this is.” Minho gestures at the couple. Jeongin rolls his eyes, far too used to Felix and Chan’s antics to care about what they were doing in front of him.

“Don’t worry, I’m immune to their weird mating rituals at this point.” He murmurs, not looking up as he dabs a balm of blended herbs over Chan’s wounds. “At this point they can fuck in front of me and I’ll be completely unbothered. I’ll see you at dinner.” The healer waves Minho off. Felix is too focused on comforting Chan to notice and the pack leader is too scent drunk to care. Minho looks Chan over to make sure he’s okay before he leaves. Despite his harshness, Chan’s best friend was deeply concerned.

Jeongin explains what they need to do to take care of Chan’s wounds as he wraps it up. Explaining more to Felix since his pack leader is too far gone to pay attention. He makes quick work of finishing, explaining to the omega that he might have to help Chan eat for the next couple of days, since he smashed the necklace with his dominant hand. Their pack leader slumps in his seat, head lolling back, eyes shut and a blissful smile on his face. Felix kisses his forehead, deeply endeared.

“I’ll leave him to you.” Jeongin says as he finishes up. “He’s free to do whatever, just make sure he doesn’t get the bandage wet. He should be able to take it off in about four days, maybe three. Chan’s always been a fast healer.”

“Thank you, Innie. I promise to take good care of him.”

“You always do, Lix. Do you need me to help get him up?”

“I’ve got him, don't worry about it. Go back to your research.” Felix reassures him, before focusing on his mate. “Channie,” he leans in and rubs his alpha’s shoulders. “Come on honey, let’s go home.” Chan responds with nonsensical murmuring. “I know, I know, but you need to rest. Between the pack meeting and this injury, you need to relax. And since you broke that vial I need to refill another one.” The thought of Felix securing his slick for him is enough to make Chan get up. The omega snickers as he wraps an arm around his mate’s waist. “I knew that would get you moving.”

Chan is still too high off of Felix’s pheromones to answer him properly, yet they somehow make it back to their cabin. The omega strips them both and gets them into bed. The alpha whines, eagerly wanting to collect Felix’s slick. His mate pushes him back down when he tries to get up. “Later, right now sleep.” he orders and Chan pouts but does as he’s told. Felix rolls his eyes. “You’re such an impatient puppy when you’re like this.” The omega teases as he gets into bed, scooting back so they’re in a spooning position. Felix reaches behind him to take a hold of Chan’s cock. The alpha growls low, hips rutting into the touch. The omega lifts his leg enough so he can guide his mate’s length inside his cunt.

Felix pushes himself back until all of Chan is buried deep inside him. The alpha snarls into his omega’s neck, tongue lapping at his scent gland, while an arm wraps tightly around Felix’s tiny waist. The other hand reaches down to cup his pussy, two fingers slipping past his folds to press at his clit. Chan makes no move to escalate, simply keeping his fingers there. He buries his face into the crook of his omega’s neck, Felix grabs his forearms, nails lightly digging into the alpha’s skin. With his nose buried in his scent gland, Chan is consumed and surrounded by all things Felix and it keeps him sated and floaty.

He lets himself sink into it and falls asleep. When they wake up again, Chan will take Felix nice and slow until he knots him. And after they go another round, his omega will help him pick out another vial. Then Felix will spread his legs wide so his alpha can collect his slick before Chan eats him out until he’s shaking. They’ll be late for dinner but it will be worth it. And when Felix and Chan sit down at the head of the table with matching glassy eyes and dopey smiles on their faces, no one says a thing. All too familiar with their pack leaders' antics.

☾𖤓

“Look, Chan-” Changbin starts, but falters when the pack alpha takes a long whiff from his jar. Chan inhales deep, leaning back in his chair as he exhales. Sighing in pure bliss, eyes slightly dilated. He’s going to need the purest form of Felix’s scent to help him through this conversation his two best friends insisted on having. His mate was currently discussing food preparations for the upcoming Summer Solstice celebration with the main cooks of the pack, all with the exception of Minho.

Changbin sighs and turns to Minho sitting on the opposite side of Chan. They were in the pack leader’s living room. “Chan, as ridiculous  as your sire is being, I do think you should seriously consider what he was saying.” Minho tries instead. “Yunseo may be a jerk but he does have a point.”

“There is no point to be made. He was implying that our pack has become weak under Felix and I’s leadership. That’s the farthest from the truth. If anything the pack has gotten stronger. The addition of Felix has done wonders for us.” Chan argues. “Are you saying that you agree with him? Do you think our pack is weak?” He snarls, hand clutching the new vial around his neck, eyes going slightly turning red.

“Oh stop it with the feral alpha act before you cut up your hand again.” Minho snaps back. He’s always been one of the few people in this world that didn’t automatically submit to Chan’s voice. “We don’t agree with your sire’s opinion. But we do think because of the internal conflicts within the pack, others have gotten bold. The Cheong pack is still furious at your humiliating rejection of Hwayoung. They’ve sought out alliances with their neighboring packs.”

“Our pack is strong,” Changbin cuts in. “There’s no denying that. But there’s no point in fighting when we don’t need to. There’s many new pups to consider. Hyunjin could be due at any moment. Now is not the time to let egos get in the way and cloud your judgement.”

Chan slumps back and lets out a loud and agitated sigh, rubbing his hand down his face. He sits forward and rests his elbows on his thighs. “You’re right.” he admits. “This isn’t something to take lightly. Any threat to the pack no matter how small is still a threat that must be dealt with.”

“The Summer Solstice celebration is in a couple of days. What do you want to do?” Minho asks.

“The celebration has been a tradition for centuries, we’re not going to cancel it. We should inform our strongest fighters to stay vigilant and on alert. And let’s try to keep a tight lip on the threats. I don’t want there to be a mass panic amongst the pack when there isn’t concrete proof of potential dangers.”

“Understood.”

“For now I think it’s better if we don’t tell our mates. Felix and Jisung have enough on their plates preparing for the festivities. And the last thing Hyunjin needs is any kind of stress.”

Changbin nods in agreement. This pregnancy was putting enough stress on his mate without any excitement. News like this could set him into early labor or something far more serious. “I’ll inform Seungmin right now.”

“Tell him and Jeongin together. Innie needs to know as well.” Changbin nods at the pack alpha’s request and leaves. Chan is already unclasping the top of the small glass jar and downing its content before his fellow alpha is fully out the door. The effect is almost instant. Chan feels the familiar rush through his system, the muscles in his shoulders relax and his jaw unclenches. His boiling anger turns into a simmer. The sweet taste of peaches fills his mouth and he licks his lips to savor it. Chan’s entire body goes slack within a few moments.

“Do you think it’s a good idea not to tell our mates until after the celebration?” Minho asks.

“No,” Chan honestly admits, “But everyone is so excited for the celebration, I don't want it to be ruined.”

“They could strike then,” Minho points out. “It’s when we’re at our most vulnerable, our guards are down.”

“Well whoever has the gall to try better be prepared to be torn apart.” he snarls and huffs out a laugh.

“Let’s just try to focus on the celebration. Minjung has been anticipating dancing with you. She keeps ranting about how much she can’t wait. My own pup wants to dance with you more than she does with me.”

Chan smirks, “Not my fault that I’m the favorite among all the pups.” his fellow alpha rolls his eyes.

“Aera has Felix wrapped around her finger, you’re not her favorite.” Changbin scoffs and shakes his head. “Your pups are going to be so spoiled when you finally have them.” The thought of pups of his own has Chan’s inner wolf yipping with joy. He and Felix have discussed it when they first mated and agreed to wait until they were more established and settled in their new roles in the pack to start trying for pups. Given the way Chan and Felix fucked like rabbits and the omega was lazy when came to taking birth control tonics, it was a suprise to everyone the alpha hadn’t bred his mate yet. But nobody in the pack doubted that they would be welcoming more pups to the pack soon, even if Chan and Felix hadn’t made plans for children.

“And I can’t wait until we have our own pups. But I’m patient, besides I have so many pups that already occupy my time as it is.”

“You’re going to be a great sire, Chan.” Minho reassures him.

“Thanks, Min. Hopefully my pups don’t inherit my temper.”

“They’ll have Felix to balance it out.”

At this Chan snorts. “You seem to forget that Felix can get just as feral as I can when provoked. He was a possessive brat when he first joined the pack.”

“True, he didn’t have slick to keep him calm but you sure fucked the aggression out of him. It’s seriously a mystery that there isn’t a hoard of your spawn running around the village.”

Chan laughs. “Oh don’t worry, the pack will probably get that sooner rather than later.”

☾𖤓

Tonight was one of the biggest celebrations of the year in the pack. It was the summer solstice and everyone was gathered in the center of the village for a night of lively fun. Ever since Felix joined the Bahng pack this was one of his favorite nights of the year. The singing and dancing around the massive fire pit. Eating so much delicious food that he might burst and drinking berry infused ale and wine until he was falling over himself in a giggly mess. It was such a wonderful time. His first Solstice had been a joy and today was no different.

Felix had spent the majority of the evening watching his alpha dance with the pups. Chan adored the little ones so much and it made the omega’s inner wolf yip in delight. It makes him yearn for pups of his own. He and Chan agreed to wait a couple of years to let Felix adjust to the Bahng pack life and his new role as luna. But now that three years have passed, the omega knows that he’s ready for Chan to sire his pups. Felix wants to give his mate what they both desire. Maybe they could discuss it by the end of the night’s festivities. Felix desperately wants to start a family with Chan and he wants one soon.

A scoff brings Felix out of his musings, and it takes a lot of his will power not to snarl. He’s gotten better at behaving over the years and he doesn’t want to give people an excuse to gossip again. Instead he rolls his eyes and tries to remain calm and unbothered by the whispering a few feet away. Sipping tentatively on his meade to appear oblivious to the conversation unfolding not too far from him. There’s a group of about five pack members around his age talking negatively about him. Felix knows them well and he tends to avoid them as much as possible. They were a part of the small circle of people that still disapproved of his mating with Chan.

“I will never understand what Chan sees in that whore.” One of the omegas says loud enough to make sure Felix could hear her over the boisterous music. He’s positive that it's Eunji talking. She’s made it known to everyone but the pack alpha to his face that she dislikes Felix and doesn’t think he’s worthy of the title of pack luna. “He had someone of prestige and perfect perigee and gave it up for some lowly omega. It makes more and more sense each day that they mated by accident. Chan could have done so much better.”

Felix hates to admit that her words sting. There was always a small part of him that still didn’t believe he was worthy to stand at Chan’s side as Luna to the Bahng pack. Despite how much his mate reassured him that he was. It had been three years and Felix had never gotten the approval of Chan’s sire. The former pack alpha refused to acknowledge him on most days. Sometimes pretending that Felix didn’t even exist. That hurt worse than any of their harsh words ever could.

Bahng Yunseo kept himself hidden away from the rest of the pack. It made Felix feel guilty. Like it was his fault the elder became a shut in. He and Chan had always had a tumultuous relationship but ever since Chan and Felix mated, it had left a large strain between Chan and his sire. The two didn’t speak unless it was necessary and Felix knows he’s to blame for it because his mate loved him more than his sire’s approval. Sometimes Felix wondered if the man’s dislike for him would soften overtime or if it would harden into something deeper and more resentful. In the future, would Yunseo acknowledge Chan and Felix’s pups? Or would he cast innocent children aside to satiate his grudge? Sometimes those thoughts would plague Felix’s mind but most days he remembered how loved he was by his mate and a large amount of the pack to care too much about the former pack leader’s approval.

As much as it sometimes hurts, Felix refuses to let the elders' opinions affect him. At the end of the day he and Chan were mates and there was nothing anyone could do about it. They loved each other and had the approval of the people that actually mattered. When it comes to the animosity from those that dislike their pack luna, Felix prefers to kill them with kindness. He ignores the jeers and nasty words whispered underneath their breath whenever they cross paths. Felix smiles in their faces, nodding his head in acknowledgement. He helps where he’s needed but he never lets anyone push him around too much or cross his boundaries. Felix learned to deal with it.

The omega could tolerate whispers behind his back, and the occasional rude words to his face. But Felix refuses to tolerate anyone flirting with his alpha. It was one of the main reasons why members of the pack disliked him. When Chan and Felix’s bond was still fresh and they were still solidifying it made other members feel emboldened. A herd mentally of ‘if Chan can mate with some random omega then I might have a chance too’ grew amongst the pack. As if the nature of their mating made Chan and Felix’s decision to remain committed to each other invalid. After the Cheong pack had cut ties with the Bahng’s the eligible unmated members of the pack saw Hwayoung’s absence as their chance to stake their claim on Chan. As if the alpha didn’t have the indents of Felix’s teeth embedded in his neck. They treated Felix like he was a mistake. It drove the omega insane. The way others would boldly flirt and act like he was invisible even when Felix was by Chan's side. To a freshly marked omega, their actions were a threat to his bond. People were trying to steal Felix’s mate and it infuriated him. The blatant disrespect got to the point that the omega eventually snapped and went feral when Eunji got a little too cuddly with Chan for Felix’s liking.

Felix had pounced on her and was close to clawing her face off before Chan pulled him back. Mentally the omega was too far gone to realize there was no actual threat. And despite being wrapped up in his alpha’s arms, Felix continued to try and scramble out of Chan’s hold to eliminate the threat. His alpha had to scruff him in order to calm him down enough to get Felix back to their cabin. Chan had to literally fuck some sense back into his mate to remind Felix that he was the alpha’s one and only. He’d kept his feral omega on his knot for days and it had gotten the point across. Felix was his mate and the alpha was completely devoted to him. The omega had walked around with a limp and smug expression on his face for days, while Chan was always by his side completely besotted.

Felix thought his former slip ups would have gotten the point across that Chan belonged to him. But there were moments when others still didn’t take the hint and insisted on pressing their luck. And tonight’s party was testing Felix’s patience. The majority of his friends had gone to get more drinks, leaving him to take care of Hyunjin while they were away. His best friend was nearing the end of his pregnancy and the pack healers suspected that he would give birth by the end of  the month or early into the next. Felix wasn’t in the pack when Hyunjin had Aera but his pregnancy with her was apparently far less difficult. Nowadays it’s hard for Hyunjin to even stand up for short periods of time. Jeongin had recently decided it would be for the best to put their friend on bedrest. But Hyunjin had been determined to enjoy tonight’s celebration with the entire pack. Jeongin relented and made today an exception.

Felix’s best friend rubs his stomach and frowns at the omega’s nasty words towards Felix, the pack luna gently squeezes Hyunjin’s hand before resting it on top of his baby bump. “Hyune, don't think about it, just ignore them,” Felix says calmly. “Stressing out about it isn’t good for the baby.”

“I don’t see why you don’t tell Chan about the things they say. You know he wouldn’t tolerate it.”

“You know how protective he can get and with his temperament I don’t want people in the pack to get maimed just because they don’t like me.”

“Doesn’t seem like a bad thing to me.” Hyunjin sniffs dismissably. “Besides, it wouldn't be the first time you’ve snapped and attacked someone. The main omega talking shit almost got her teeth knocked out because of you.”

“That’s just your hormones talking.” Felix laughs, “And besides, I’ve changed. I’m not insecure about our relationship anymore. I know one here is a threat to me. It’s annoying when people try to flirt with Chan. But it’s also a little amusing, he’s so oblivious to it because he’s so obsessed with me.” The omega giggles behind his hand simply enamoured by the thought of his mate. Felix was just as obsessed and never bothered to hide it.

“That may be so but I’m right. You don’t have to put up with disrespect just to be a part of this pack. That’s one of the best parts of us, everybody is allowed to speak their mind. And don’t forget that you’re the pack Luna. They don’t have to like you, but they do have to respect you. You’re Chan’s mate.”

“I don’t wanna pull the pack Luna card every time someone annoys me, Hyune.”

“Personally I think you should. You’re too fucking nice Lix. I think it’s time you get mean.”

Felix thought over his best friend’s words and nodded. Hyunjin was right, he was the pack luna of the Bahng’s and it was about time people permanently understood that. “You’re right, I should be meaner.” he sniffs, flicking his hair over his shoulder. “And besides,” he increases his volume, “My alpha is so obsessed with me that he literally can’t function most days without my slick. It’s a miracle that I can walk straight with how much he fucks me. Did I tell you that Channie started eating me out every morning before we have breakfast?”

Hyunjin gasps in fake shock even though he’s well aware of his friends’ sex lives but he plays along perfectly. The duo grinning deviously at the scandalized gasps behind them. “Really?”

“Yes is the perfect way to start the morning, his mouth is so perfect. Channie always makes me feel good before he collects my slick.”

“I still find it insane that he wears your slick around his neck everyday.” Hyunjin says scandalized.

“He said my scent is the only one that keeps his temper at bay. Channie says he’d go feral without. My slick is the best source; it's more potent. He says no one else could ever make him feel the way I do.” They hear scoffs of annoyance and disbelief from the group behind them. They just embolden Felix to continue. “It’s honestly so hot. Sometimes when he’s really annoyed about pack matters he’ll just bend me over and spread me before taking what he wants. He doesn’t even care where we are, Chan is so desperate for me.”

“No wonder why you’re never walking straight and always covered in bruises.” Hyunjin snickers and Felix swats his arm as if he’s embarrassed. He’s not, he wears all the love bites Chan gives him with pride. Always making sure that his mating bite was on full display. He loved showing off his alpha’s claim on him.

“What can I say, my alpha is a very giving lover.” Felix smirks. Hyunjin cackles at the spike of sweetness in his friend’s scent. The mere thought of all the filthy things he gets up to with his mate was arousing. Felix is just about to tell Hyunjin about how Chan kept him on his knot while they ate breakfast when their friends make it back to them.

“We’ve come bearing drinks and snacks!” Jisung beams, holding up two pints, one a deep purple and the other a fizzing gold. “Berry medley for Hyunjinie, and citrus ale for Lixie.” He squeezes himself in between his fellow omegas as he hands them their drinks. Hyunjin holds his drink on top of his round belly causing their group to laugh. Changbin sits down next to his mate and holds a blackberry tart to his face. Hyunjin practically devours it in one bite.

Felix looks around at the six of them and pouts. “Where’s my mate?”

“He stole our daughter and is dancing with her like he promised.” Minho informs him, pointing towards the center of the dance floor. Sure enough Chan is twirling Minjung in his arms. They’re too far away to hear, but the joyous laughter on their faces is obvious. Felix’s chest feels full and the catty chatter from the group behind him melts away. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks, Felix is happy, in love and surrounded by people that care about him. Fuck what anyone else has to say. The pack luna is having the time of his life with friends and family. And Chan looks so gorgeous illuminated by firelight as he sways with Minjung in his arms. This is all that matters, the joy of moments like this. So Felix lets the negativity go and focuses on enjoying the celebration. He chugs half of his pint down and engages in conversations with his friends. He can’t wait to dance with his mate again. They already danced together earlier in the evening and it was delightful. Felix is patient and can wait his turn for their next round of moving around the makeshift dancefloor.

Felix gets so lost in the merriment in the air that he loses track of his mate and the alcohol makes him loose limbed and chattier. As the night carries on the pack luna becomes pleasantly drunk and he’s having the time of his life. Seungmin’s gasp of surprise and Jeongin cursing brings his attention to them. They don’t seem happy. “What’s up?”

“Okay don’t freak out but someone is getting handsy with your mate.” Seungmin tells him warily, pointing off towards the right past the massive firepit. Felix whips his head towards that direction and snarls, hackles instantly rise. Chan is talking with a large group of people and that would be fine if Eunji wasn’t drunkenly trying to cling to him. Felix’s fists clench at his sides, he breathes in deep in an attempt to calm himself but it fails miserably. It was no secret in the pack that she’s always had an infatuation with becoming the pack luna. She was at the top of the list of Chan’s potential mates before Yunseo decided to outscourse his son’s mate. Eunji was always bitter because she believed Felix stole her mate and right to be pack luna. Felix had almost clawed her face off before but clearly she’d learned nothing from that incident.

Felix curses as he downs the rest of his drink and places it on the ground beside him. He observes the scene before reacting. Eunji is giggling up a storm and slapping Chan’s shoulder as if he’s saying the funniest things in the world. The pack’s alpha smile is terse, as if he’s semi-annoyed with her behavior but he’s too nice to push her away like he wants to. Felix’s entire body tenses when he sees her squeeze his alpha’s bicep. Her hand pressing against Chan's chest is what causes Felix’s inner wolf to snarl. He stands up despite Jisung trying to pull him back down.

“Felix calm down.” he warns but it's too late. The omega is too high strung, drunk and angry at Eunji’s audacity to be stopped. He growls, he can feel his mind slipping and his fangs start to sharpen, nails turning into claws. His friends are speaking, but their words are lost on him as he stalks forward. His eyes locked in on Eunji and when she buries her face into Chan’s neck to breathe in his scent, all of Felix’s rationality snaps. His mind is lost and his inner wolf takes over and then he’s running.

Chan pushes Eunji away once she starts to nuzzle her face in his neck, his wolf hisses at the touch. It’s not his omega and he despises it. “Eunji what the hell are you doing?” That’s all the words he manages to get out before a flash of blonde cuts through his periphery and then the omega is being tackled to the ground by his mate. Felix grabs a hold of her hair and starts banging her head against the hard soil beneath them. Everyone is in complete shock, but Chan is quick to snap out of it just as his mate sinks his claws into her shoulder.

“He’s my mate,” Felix snarls, “He’s mine!”

The alpha works fast, jumping in to wrap his arms around Felix’s middle and hoisting him up. The pack luna doesn’t let up without a fight, too lost in his head and focused on the omega that tried to make a move on his mate to notice his alpha is trying to yank him off of her. Felix snarls and thrashes and Chan bits down on the back of his mate’s neck hard. The omega instantly becomes putty in his hold, body going slack. Felix’s knees buckle and before he can collapse to the ground Chan hoists him over his shoulder.

“Jeongin, make sure she’s treated properly,” the rest of the pack stares in shock, unsure of what to do. Felix whimpers and that’s Chan’s queue to leave. “Alright, show’s over everyone go back to celebrating.” he snaps and tentatively the pack does as they're told. Eunji’s little group of friends help drag her away as they make their way to the healer’s hut. The pack alpha turns and quickly makes his way back to their cabin, Felix starts to become more coherent and little puffs of anger graze Chan’s neck. The omega’s claws lightly dig into his shoulder, indicating Felix's wolf is still in control of his mind and will still be in a possessive rampage once it recovers from Chan’s scruffing.

The alpha hastily makes it back to their cabin and roughly slams it behind him. He heads straight for their bedroom and tosses Felix on the bed. As his omega lets out small hisses he strips them both of their clothes. He climbs on top of Felix and hooks the omega’s legs over his shoulders as he lines up his cock and pushes slowly into his mate. Felix purrs in delight, eyes still closed as he takes his alpha into his body, already leaking copious amounts of slick around his cock.

“Alpha-”

“I know baby, I know.”

“Mine.”

“I’m yours, only yours.” he promises as he sheathes himself inside of his mate completely. “Love you so much darling. Nobody else can have me. I belong to you.” Chan reassures as he starts at a slow pace, simply grinding into Felix, barely pulling out. The omega keens, head tilting back to expose the column of his throat to his alpha. His eyes open to stare up at Chan, and they’re still wide and hazing, he’s slowly coming back to himself yet that possessive edge is unrelenting. His claws reach up to dig at his alpha’s chest, leaving light red marks in his wake. Claiming Chan over again and leaving no doubt who the alpha belongs to. They’ll fade in a few days but the pack leader will keep them exposed so everyone can see Felix’s claim on him.

Chan begins to properly fuck his mate, thrusting into him so hard that the bed starts to creek from the force. Felix snarls possessively, inner wolf humming in satisfaction from being claimed again. The omega’s previous actions make his own wolf gleeful. Chan fucking loves it when Felix stakes his claim on him. Loves that his omega will do whatever he has to in order for others to understand that no one else can have Chan. He thrives off of Felix’s possessiveness, letting him know that he’s not alone in his obsession. The wild beast that is their love can’t be contained and he never wants it to be. Chan howls at the intoxicating blend of their scents; it’s enchanting the way they compliment each other. He will never get enough of it.

Chan feels his knot begin to form as he pounds his mate into the mattress. Felix begging for it is enough to have the alpha’s head spinning from the force of his orgasm as he slams into his omega, knot locking them in place. The alpha curses as he spills inside of his mate, Felix purrs in delight at the feeling. He feels so claimed and it’s blissful, his omega is satisfied. Chan rolls them over so Felix is resting on top of him. His mate’s eyes are closed and he sleepily hums, nuzzling his face into Chan’s neck. The alpha kisses his forehead.

“I love you, Felix. There’s no one else for me. You’re my mate, my life.” Chan reassures him. “Nobody else in this world compares. You own every part of me, baby.”

“Mine.” Felix whispers back, sleepily, eyes shut and an adorable pout on his lips. Chan is so enamoured, truly nobody else in this world holds a candle to his mate. Felix holds his heart.

“Just sleep, honey. I’m not going anywhere.” Chan reassures. Felix purrs, rubbing their cheeks together before burying his face back into his alpha’s neck. He’s asleep within moments. Chan continues to rub his back, occasionally kissing his forehead before he follows behind his mate and slips into slumber.

Felix wakes up the next morning, naked, alone and with a pounding headache. He groans, burying his face into his pillow as the events of last night’s celebration come back to him. He snickers to himself as he remembers pettily talking about his sex life to Hyunjin in order to rile Eunji and her friends up. But that only causes a sharp pain in his head and he winces. Everything was a blur after he started drinking. He had no clue what happened but he does remember the sex he had with Chan and it was mindblowing as usual. He clenches his thighs at the thought. Felix’s throat is dry and he needs to drink his weight in water and eat to feel better again. A light chuckle from the doorway makes him turn his head away from his pillow. His mate is leaning in the doorway, arms crossed over his bare chest. His pants are hanging sinfully low on his hips and it's far too sexy for Felix to comprehend so early in the morning.

“Morning sunshine.” Chan coos and Felix groans face going back into his pillow.

“Fuck off.” he grumbles and Chan laughs.

“Come on baby, get up, I made breakfast.”

No.”

“Yes, you need to eat in order to function enough around the pack. Especially after the chaos you caused last night.”

“Oh gods what did I do?”

“You just attacked Eunji when she got a little too close. No big deal.” he laughs and Felix sits up straight.

“I what?”

“Mhmm,” Chan was too amused for Felix’s liking. “Eunji got a little flirty with me last night and you went feral and attacked her before I could stop you. Managed to get a good swipe to her shoulder before I yanked you off of her. Didn’t calm down until I took you home and fucked you.”

Felix groans, flopping back against the bed and lets out a loud annoyed huff, covering his face with his hands. “Please tell me, I didn’t.”

“You did, it was cute. Even stated your claim on me.” Chan twirls in his spot to show off the marks Felix left on his chest and back last night.

“Well if that’s the result I have no regrets. You’re mine, everyone needs to remember that.” Felix quips.

“Well I’m sure this got the point across since it didn’t when we first mated.” Chan agrees and the omega loves the fact that his mate always agrees and approves of his antics.

“I hope it leaves a scar.” Felix grumbles, making Chan laugh.

“Come on baby, get up so you can eat. I'm making tea.” He tells him before walking into their living room kitchen space. Felix lets himself wallow in embarrassment for a while before he forces himself to get out of bed. He stumbles a bit once he stands up, whether it's because he’s recovering from a hangover or from being fucked so good the night before  Felix has no clue. But he manages to make it to the front of the cabin. There’s a large spread of food, some fruits, bread and a large pot in the center of the table. Felix raises his eyes in curiosity.

“What’s that?”

“Minho dropped off a large pot of his infamous hangover stew right before I came to wake you up. He brought over an extra big pot for you.”

“Good, I need it.” Felix grumbles as he sits at his usual spot at their table. Chan caters to his mate, and sets everything up for him. The omega is grateful for it, and tilts his head up for a kiss before his alpha sits down. Chan quickly obliges him and leans down to kiss him sweetly as he places a cup of oolong tea in front of his mate. “Love you.”

“Love you too.” He says as he sits on the opposite side of the table. “What’s on your agenda today?”

“Festival clean up and cooking as usual.” Felix tells him. “Maybe playing with the pups when they have a break from lessons. You?”

“Damage control. I can already hear the earful my sire is gonna give me about last night.” Felix looks down at his bowl, a wave of shame crashing through him. The last thing he wanted to do was cause issues for Chan.

“Sorry.”

“What? Oh no baby. I’m not mad at you at all. It was hot. And you know I don’t give a fuck about what my parents have to say.”

“I know but I don’t want you to have to deal with the elders complaining.”

“I don’t care about what they have to say. They always come up with something to say about you that never sticks with the rest of the pack. They’re just stubborn and stuck in their ways. They’re still mad about our mating but that’s their problem to get over. Neither of us should be concerned about that anymore.”

“I try not to be.”

Chan reaches for his hand from across the table. “That’s good. Their opinions on our relationship don’t matter.”

“Still-”

“Don’t worry about it honey. They just want an excuse to be negative. The elders will probably demand that you apologize.”

“And I won't.” Felix snaps. “Eunji had it coming especially since she had so much to say about our relationship before she approached you.”

Chan hisses at those words. “What did she say about you?”

“Channie, I swear it’s not a big deal.”

“What did she say?” He asks again, tone sharp. Felix rolls his eyes, affectionately. Chan rarely commands Felix to do anything. But if it has to do with someone disrespecting his mate, the alpha will always demand to know.

“She was talking to her friends about how you were better off with Hwayoung and that I’m not worthy of being your mate. The usual things people say. It’s nothing I haven’t heard before.”

“This isn’t the first time?” Felix gulps, he forgot that Chan didn’t know about most of the shit some of the pack said about him. They always made sure the pack leader wasn’t in earshot. All afraid of what Chan might do if he heard the way they talked about Felix.

“I swear it’s not that bad, I’m used to it now.”

“That’s not something you should ever get used to.”

“Channie, I’m fine. I promise. Just don’t make me apologize to Eunji, she truly brought that upon herself.”

Chan reaches for his hand over the table and squeezes, rubbing his thumb against his skin in a tender motion. “Never Honey. You don’t have anything to apologize for, she knowingly disrespected a mating bond. You were well within your rights to defend it.”

“Thank you.” Felix smiles. “I knew you’d have my back.”

“Always, baby.” Chan says before taking a sip of his tea and making a face of disgust.

“What’s wrong with your tea?” Felix looks at him confused because they’re drinking the same thing and there’s nothing wrong with his tea.

“It’s just not sweet enough for me.”

“I’ll go get the honey for you.” Felix gets up and heads to the cabinets when his mate stops him.

“No need, I know a better sweetener.”

“Huh?” Felix asks just as Chan moves next to him and bends him over the table. “Oh my goodness, Chan!” He gasps in shock but it’s truly not that surprising. Especially not when his alpha drops to his knees behind him.

“I need my fix and this is the perfect way to get it.” The alpha hums as he spreads Felix’s folds and dives right in before his omega can protest (not like Felix would anyways).

“Chan wai-ah!” Felix moans burying his face into his arms as his mate proceeds to eat him out from the back. Chan gives him no time to adjust as he licks into him, tongue pushing into his entrance. Felix subconsciously ruts backwards, tilting up on the tips of his toes from the pleasure. It’s always so good, and he can’t get enough of it. “Fuck, Channie-”

“You always taste so fucking sweet, Peaches.” He growls before sucking Felix’s clit. He’s already so wet, slick tasting like nectar on his tongue. “I’ll never get enough of you.” He kisses the bundle of nerves before going back down to suckle his folds. Felix can do nothing but take what he’s given. Clawing at the table to stop himself from collapsing. He feels boneless and floaty, the things his mate does to him with his tongue are indescribable.

“A-alpha.” He whimpers shamelessly. He can feel the way copious amounts of creamy slick trickle down his inner thighs. Chan always makes him so wet and it’s always so messy. His mate takes what he wants, fucking Felix with his tongue. It’s all too much too soon, how alpha has barely started and he’s already going to cum. “Channie baby, I’m gonna-” Felix lets out a guttural shriek of anger as Chan pulls away right when he’s at his peak. “What the fuck!” Felix moves to stand up straight but his alpha stands up and pushes him back down.

“Stay.” He orders and Felix does what he’s told despite his confusion. He tilts his head to watch as Chan grabs his mug before moving behind him again. “Spread your legs.”

“Chan what-”

A harsh smack to his ass halts Felix’s question. “Spread’em.” He asks again and the omega does, legs opening wider. “Good boy.” Chan coos and then Felix feels the warmth of the mug in between his thighs. Heat spreads across his face as he realizes what his mate is doing. Mortified and aroused when he hears and feels the steady leak of his slick dripping into Chan’s tea. It makes his legs tremble from how turned on he feels. His mate is so obsessed with him that the alpha will consume his essence in any way he can get it. It drives Felix’s inner wolf wild.

Felix out right moans when Chan removes the cup from in between his thighs and he watches as his mate takes a sip. The alpha hums low with a pleased grin. “Perfect, my tea’s just right now.” He muses and to Felix’s horror instead of finishing what he started, Chan makes his way back to his seat and resumes eating.

He blinks in surprise. “What the fuck?”

“Eat your food baby before it gets cold.” Chan says before digging into his food. Leaving Felix bent over the table with his legs spread, leaking all over the floor and dumbstruck. When Felix realizes his mate is seriously not going to continue he snarls before standing up enough to slump back into his seat.

Felix begins to eat his stew, pouting with each bite. He glares across the table at his alpha, thighs clenching as his clit throbs, he feels so needy and unfulfilled. He had his alpha last night but his body would always crave Chan’s touch. His mate knows this because he stares directly into Felix’s eyes as he lifts his cup back to his lips and smirks. Chan makes a show of drinking his tea causing his omega to scowl. Felix rocks in his seat as he eats, blushing as he feels his slick begin to leak onto the hardwood beneath him. He’s too worked up and he knows his mate is also affected even though he’s acting like he isn’t. Chan’s strong cedarwood gives him away, the undertone of patchouli is heavy in the air and makes his blood simmer and his inner omega whimper with need. Their pheromones blend together so perfectly and it fills them to the brim with lust. The omega is the one to snap first.

Felix pushes his seat back and stands up. He's eaten enough and now he’s hungry for something else. The omega stalks around the table, squeezes in between the table and Chan’s lap to straddle him. The alpha’s nostrils flare from the thick scent of peaches and the way Felix’s slick begins to soak into his pants.

“Now what are you up to, Peaches?” Chan teases, lips curling up in a smirk. Felix scowls as he squirms in the alpha’s lap.

“Oh shut up.” Felix grumbles as he shifts backwards to unbutton Chan’s pants and hastily pull his rock hard cock out. “You do this all the time to rile up on purpose.” the omega hisses, giving his mate a few quick strokes before he stands up enough to angle himself above Chan’s dick before sinking down. Felix doesn’t take it slow as he takes his mate inside of him. The omega is far too eager and needy for that.

Taking Chan all the way down to the base Felix begins to rock his hips. His left hand cupping the back of his mate’s neck while his right, yanks his hair hard enough to pull his head pack. The omega snarls, leaning in to graze his teeth over his mate’s exposed neck. He growls as he remembers Chan denying him an orgasm and Felix bites down hard on the alpha’s mating mark. The older man’s hips buck up and the omega moans at the way Chan’s cock twitches inside of him.

The scent of patchouli is heavier than the cedar and thickens in the air infiltrating the omega’s senses and making them feel light. Chan’s pheromones feel like a warm embrace that fills every crevice of Felix’s body and lights him up inside. It stokes the fire within and he begins to properly ride his alpha.

“You have some nerve leaving me high and dry. Taking what you want and giving nothing in return is cruel Chan.”

“Sorry love.” He smirks, his entire demeanor screams everything but sorry. It fuels Felix’s annoyance and makes him ride Chan faster. The alpha lets his mate take what he wants, gripping Felix’s hips but not guiding his movements. His omega is so eager and desperate to receive pleasure. Bouncing on Chan’s dick like his life depends on it. He tries to remain still and let Felix work but watching his omega fuck himself so eagerly, blended with the filthy slapping sound of his slick was all too much.

Chan bucks his hips up, drawing out a punched out gasp from Felix. “Yes Channie, please don’t stop.” He whimpers, tugging the alpha’s face forward to kiss him. Chan’s grip on him tightens and Felix keens. “Harder.” He commands and his mate does as he’s told. Thrusting up harder, pace becoming quicker. Chan can feel his knot forming and Felix’s deep voice gets whinier, higher in pitch, his mate is about to cum and the alpha is right there with him.

“Come for me, baby.” Chan coos, reaching in between them to rub at Felix’s clit, it makes the omega go cross-eyed, body twitching from the sudden intensity of their orgasm. The omega’s body slams down just as Chan thrusts upwards, burying his knot inside and locking them in place. Felix slumps forward, burying their face in Chan’s shoulder as they try to catch their breath.

“Feeling better now?” The alpha teases, Felix scoffs and yanks the hair on the pack of his neck. Giving Chan’s neck another nip. The older man laughs at his mate’s antics and wraps his arms around his back.

“You’re such a menace.” Felix scowls, but puckers his lips, silently asking for a kiss. The alpha quickly obliges, pecking the omega’s lips before moving to his cheeks and his forehead. Felix squirms from the ticklish touch before sinking into Chan’s embrace.

With his omega locked on his lap, Chan reaches around Felix to grab his plate of food. He brings a piece of  bread to the omega’s mouth and smiles. “You still have to finish your food, darling.”

Felix rolls his eyes but bites into it anyway.

☾𖤓

There had been a lot of changes in the pack since the summer solstice celebration. Hyunjin and Changbin welcomed their new pup Siwoo. He was the cutest bundle of joy and the entire pack was enamoured with the infant. Hyunjin’s labor was difficult and his healing left him exhausted. Felix and Chan had practically kidnapped Aera to help ease the load so Changbin could focus on the infant and his mate. The rest of the pack was helping where they could and it was helping Hyunjin recover quickly.

Those in Chan’s most trusted were informed of the possible threat from neighboring packs. He didn’t want to believe it but he had a hunch that some members of their pack were secretly involved. The incident during the celebration had caused some tension within the pack. Chan had heard whispers of people claiming Felix was unqualified to be pack luna. No one had the guts to say it to his face but he was prepared to assert himself as leader and make it clear that Felix was their Luna whether they liked it or not. Chan wouldn’t stand for any threats placed on his mate and anyone that tried to harm Felix would be dealt with accordingly.

“Channie.” The soft tone of his mate calls to him from across the room as he gazes out the window that looks out towards the entire village. The sweet scent that’s all Felix surrounds him just as he feels a gentle hand press against his back and another wrap around to squeeze his hip. “I just put Aera down for a nap.” he rests his chin on top of his mate’s shoulder, tilting his face to press a kiss to Chan’s mating mark. “She wore herself out trying to keep up with Minjung this morning.”

“I’m sure Aera held her own running with her.” Chan muses as he turns his face to kiss Felix softly. “Between Changbin’s strength and Hyunjin’s resilience, Aera is a true fighter. The two of them will be some of our strongest hunters in the future.” His voice was full of pride. Felix subtly cups his stomach as he pecks Chan’s lips again. The omega had his suspicions about a possible new addition to the pack soon, but he needed to confirm it with Jeongin first before telling his mate.

“What’s weighing on your mind? I can practically hear your thoughts, and your scent is starting to turn stale.”

“I just have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that I can’t seem to shake and it’s not pleasant.” Chan whispers as he continues to gaze out the window. Felix knows what his mate is saying without having to say it. The omega simply holds his alpha and nuzzles his face into his neck. “I know that I’ve been nonchalant about this entire matter, but I am worried sick about everyone’s safety.”

“You don’t have to shoulder all of your thoughts alone. I’m here.”

“I know, baby. No one understands me better than you do.”

“And no matter what life throws at us, we’ll be ready. This is the Bahng pack afterall, we’re the strongest pack around for a reason. There’s no threat to our family that we can’t crush.” Felix reassures, holding him tight. “And whenever that threat comes we’ll be ready.”

“What are your plans for the afternoon?” Chan turns around in Felix’s hold, leaning back against the window to pull his mate to stand in between his legs. The omega leans into his mate, letting himself be held. It’s moments like this that Felix understands why their friends call them disgusting. They’ve never been able to keep their hands off of each other, and the omega could admit it was borderline obnoxious but Felix wouldn’t want them any other way.

“Kitchen duty. Minho and Jisung want to look after Hyunjin while Changbin is on patrol. That leaves Seongwha, Lily and I to feed an entire pack. Seulgi will be out on patrol too.” he jokes and Chan laughs.

“Well your fellow cooks have banned me from the kitchens for life and I’m about to go on patrol too, so I can’t help you.” Chan shrugs.

“I’ll be fine, Channie. Go be a big strong alpha and protect our pack. I’ve got things handled here. I’ll be with Aera until Seungmin gets here. Don’t worry about us.” They both know Chan will always worry about Felix and the rest of the pack regardless. His alpha kisses his forehead and lets Felix step away. They kiss again and then the omega is guiding Chan towards the door. “We’ll be fine, I promise.”

“I know, you’re stronger than everyone thinks you are. I’d never underestimate you.”

“I love you.” Felix murmurs against his lips in the doorway.

“Love you too.”

“Now go because we continue to say it back and forth and then we’ll be stuck here forever.”

“Is that really such a bad thing?” the alpha teases.

“Go!” Felix giggles as he shoves Chan onto the porch.

“Alright, alright, I’m going. But just one more kiss before I leave?”

Felix slams their front door in Chan’s face. His alpha howls with laughter from the other side.

☾𖤓

Once Chan is gone Felix checks on Aera to make sure she’s truly asleep. The pup is curled up on the center of the bed, looking absolutely adorable as he snores. She’s out cold and Felix knows Aera won’t wake up soon. It’s a little risky but he slips out of his cabin to head over to the healers. He’s been feeling nauseous lately, especially in the mornings. Chan has been out on patrol before the sun even rises most mornings so he hasn’t noticed. Felix only needs a tonic to ease the waves in his stomach, he’ll be there and back in no time. Aera will be fine. Seungmin is on his way anyway.

Felix has his suspicions about the cause of his sudden illness but he wants to confirm with Jeongin first before telling Chan. Felix wants to be absolutely sure before telling his alpha that they’ll be expecting their first pup. He’s almost there when he sees Yunseo stepping out of the building with his mate behind him. The omega momentarily stiffens at the sight of them but he continues. Despite the disdain Chan’s sire has for him, Felix still tries to remain cordial and respectful. He bows when they pass, and feels a pang in his chest when Yunseo continues to walk past him as if the omega is invisible. Dalrae winces in silent apology for his mate’s behaviour.

On any other day Felix would just take it for what it is and accept the former pack leader’s coldness. But a low simmering anger that has been building inside of Felix seems to have finally reached its boiling point. Maybe it’s because he’s finally fed up or maybe it’s pregnancy hormones. Either way Felix finally snaps. He doesn’t understand why Yunseo is still behaving like this when it’s already been three years since Felix joined the pack. Felix can’t put up with this for the rest of his life. He refuses to tolerate this for the rest of his life. It eventually gets to a point and Felix honestly just can’t take it anymore.

“Is it always going to be like this for the rest of our lives?” Felix furiously snaps as Yunseo continues to walk away. The former pack alpha stops but he doesn’t turn around. “I’ve been Chan’s mate for over three years and you’ve spoken less than eight words to me. Are you going to pretend that I don’t exist forever?” The omega moves towards him, body shaking in rage, patience finally lost. “I’m sorry that you couldn’t force Chan to mate with Hwayoung so he could be miserable for the rest of his life. But I love your son more than everything else in this world.”

Felix hates the tremor in his voice. Loathes that he’s let this man get to him. “It’s been three years and you still can’t let it go! Why? What have I done wrong? I’ve tried my hardest to integrate into the pack, I’m always there when needed. I listen to what everyone has to say. I’ve put up with countless disrespect just to keep the peace. And I do it all because I love Chan and I care deeply for this pack. This is my family. Just because I’m not what you chose for him it doesn’t mean that I’m not right for him. Your son is happy, isn't that enough?”

The omega continues to speak, giving Yunseo  no chance to interrupt him. “You refuse to speak to Chan unless you have to. And when you do your words are full of nothing but cruelty. Are you going to be the same way with our pup? Will you ignore them too?” Felix sniffles but then his eyes widen when he realizes his slip up. “I-I mean Chan and I’s future pups don’t deserve your cruelty.” He backtracks. “They shouldn’t have to suffer because of our actions.”

Felix wipes his eyes. The former pack leader refuses to turn around and face him and the omega doesn’t want to waste his tears. “Fuck you. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for my mate and this pack, but you’re too stubborn to see that. I make Chan happy, why isn’t that enough?” The man continues to stay silent and he refuses to turn around to face him. Felix stays still and waits for a reply but Yunseo says nothing. Dalrae stands by his side with his head down. More than ever Felix pities Chan’s dam. So deeply devoted to the man that he was willingly to live in isolation. Felix knows that Dalrae loves Yunseo but Felix wishes the two of them could be happy.

A frightened cry rings into the air suddenly and Felix’s blood runs cold. “Aera!” The former pack leaders are quickly forgotten as Felix sprints back to his cabin. He can hear a large commotion coming from the center of the village. But his sole focus is getting to Aera and then rest of the pups to herd them off to safety. He barrels into his home and freezes at the sight of Hwayoung and her brother Hwanjoon in his home. The woman is holding a squirming Aera tightly in her lap. Her claws extended as she gently caressed the little girl’s cheek. Felix feels his heart stop at the sight, but he remains calm in order to make sure Aera doesn’t get hurt.

“Long time no see, it’s great to see you.” Felix says, tone dry and dripping with sarcasm. “What do I owe the pleasure of a surprise visit?”

Hwayoung glares. “I told you that I’d make you regret it didn’t I? We’re here to make due on that promise. You still owe my brother an apology for running out on your mating.” She snaps, while Hwanjoon glowers at Felix silently.

“I see,” Felix nods, stepping deeper into the room.

“Lixie-” Aera sniffles, reaching out for him.

“Hey, Sweetheart, it’s alright I’m here.” Felix reassures, internally panicking but he’ll do whatever he has to in order to ensure that Hyunjin and Changbin’s daughter remains safe. “Clearly you’re here for me, let’s not bring innocent pups into this, yeah?” Felix puts his hands up in surrender. “I’ll do whatever you want, just let her go. I swear on my life I won’t try anything stupid. Just release her. She has nothing to do with this, none of my pack does, this is strictly between us.”

Hwanjoon moves to block the door so they can’t escape. Hwayoung thinks it over for a moment before releasing Aera. The little girl is up and running into Felix’s arms in an instant. He holds her tight, kissing all over her face and checking her for any injuries. “You’re alright, I’m here. You’re so brave Aera. I’m so proud of you.”

“Lixie-” she clutches onto his shirt in a tight grip. He holds her tightly as she sobs. Memorizing her sweet and innocent floral scent as if it’s the last time he’ll get to do it.

“I know sweetie, I know it’s scary but you’ll be brave for me right? You’ll be good for your parents.” He holds out his pinky and although Aera is clearly terrified, she’s trying so hard to stay strong for him. Felix is so proud. “I have to go away for a while okay? But I’ll be back, for now I want you to go into my room and crawl behind the dresser and stay there until someone you know comes in. Do you understand me? Don’t let anyone you don’t trust know you’re here.” Aera nods and stays silent, eyes still wide and teary, yet still so brave. “That’s my girl, now go.” Felix orders and he watches her do exactly as she’s told before he shuts the door to his bedroom.

Felix takes a deep breath, bracing himself for any possible outcome before turning around. Under different circumstances, he would have instantly tried to fight them, but the omega refuses to risk the life of the pup he cares so deeply about.

Felix turns around and scowls at the siblings. “So what happens now?” He drawls. Hwanjoon launches forward in response and before Felix can even brace himself, he’s struck over the head hard and his world goes black.

☾𖤓

Everything happens so fast that if Chan wasn’t tipped off about the plot to overthrow his pack in advance the outcome could have been deadlier. The pack leader is patrolling the western border of the Bahng territory with two of the older pack alphas. He’s sent out some of the best fighters to monitor all corners, to make sure nothing is amiss. Chan is in the process of giving out orders when the two men attack. He’s only caught off guard for a split second before his claws are out and tearing through their chests. One of them is dead before he even hits the ground. But the other begins pleading for his life when Chan pins him against a tree. Claws wrap tight around his throat, sinking in just enough to break the skin.

“Who’s behind this?” Chan snarls, his question direct. He doesn’t care for the reasoning of this little rebellion. The pack leader just wants the source so he can find it and stomp it out.

“B-Beomseok,” he stutters, “He’s joined forces with the Cheong pack, says he’s going to make things right.” Chan knows the man in question well. He was his sire’s right hand man since Yunseo became pack leader. The sense of betrayal hits Chan harder than the way he crushes the man’s neck in his fist. Was his sire so angry that he would orchestrate a coup? Was this his fucked up way of restoring order? Chan’s blood runs cold.

“Felix.” He whispers in horror as he tosses the man’s corpse to the ground and takes off running back into the village. Chan lets out a loud warning howl. Alerting his pack of danger. He discussed with his most trusted in the pack what to do in this situation when it came down to it.

All Chan can think of is Felix at home with Aera and his heart pounds, adrenaline pumping at the rage building inside of him. He howls again as he races back to the village. His cries are answered and he knows his pack is in danger. It’s chaos when he arrives and it’s not easy to tell who’s on the Bahng pack’s side. Fully shifted wolves and humans fight alongside and against each other. When he steps into the fray as he spots San fighting alongside Changbin’s wolf. It doesn’t take him long to figure out who’s on his side and then he jumps into the fight and takes people down with ease. His sharp claws cut through bodies like they’re merely paper. Now that Chan has joined in, the enemy begins to retreat. A cry rings out and he sees Beomseok attacking his dam. He’s cornering Dalrae against a cabin and fury courses through his veins as he watches his dam clutch his bleeding stomach. Chan snarls as he pounces on the older alpha’s back, sinking his claws deep enough to reach bone. He yanks Beomseok backwards and away from his dam.

Chan doesn’t give the older man a chance to explain or plead for his life as he slams him onto his back. He shreds into Beomseok’s stomach, cutting straight through bone and guts. The threat to his dam’s life fueling his rage as he continues to tear into the man. Blood splatters and he’s yanked away from the man’s remains by Changbin, Minho and San. It’s still a struggle even with the three of them holding him back. Chan is on the verge of losing it and Minho has the brilliant idea to grab a hold of the pack leader’s glass pendant and shove it underneath Chan's nose. Felix’s scent hits him instantly and Chan’s body slums back against them.

“Chan-” Changbin starts but the pack alpha cuts him off.

“We have to get to my cabin, Felix and Aera are still there.” Changbin’s eyes widen in horror but he swallows it down to stay rational.

“Jeongin and Wooyoung, have guided all the pups to safety. Hyunjin and Jisung are with them.” Minho explains.

“Chan, you go and find Felix; we can handle things from here.” San insists. Chan nods in gratitude knowing San is someone he can truly trust.  Without a second thought, he takes off towards his cabin, Minho and Changbin are hot on his heels. They’re halfway when they spot Seungmin running towards them. Aera held securely in their friend’s arms.

“Oh thank the moon you’re both alright,” Chan breathes out in relief. “Where’s Felix?” he demands frantically just as Changbin yanks Aera out of Seungmin’s hold and pulls his daughter into his arms. He lets out a sob of relief kissing all over her face and checking her for injuries as the little girl clutches onto him and sobs. “What happened?”

“I-I don’t know, I went into your cabin and found her hidden behind the bedroom dresser. Aera said two bad people took Felix.” Seungmin explains.

“Where is my sire?” Chan snarls, turning to his friends for answers.

“Nobody can find him,” Minho tells him. “Why?”

“Beomseok was behind this.” they gasp in disbelief at his words.

“Chan are you sure?” Changbin asks.

“It was confirmed when I was attacked on patrol. If he was behind this then so is my sire.” Chan sneers, “Seungmin go help the others get the pups to safety, Changbin, and Minho go with him.”

“Fuck no.” Minho hisses defiantly, while Changbin presses a long kiss to his daughter’s forehead before handing her back to Seungmin.

“I’m coming with you.” he says firmly.

“You guys-”

“Don’t argue with me over this. My family is safe and with those I trust. They’ll be fine, I’m helping you find Felix.” Changbin left no room for argument. His best friends knew the risks they were taking and Chan was grateful. He nods and then the three of them are taking off and heading to Chan and Felix’s cabin. Their best bet is to start there to trace the omega’s scent. The second they barrel through the front door they’re hit with the nauseating scent of lemon and pine. Chan grips his necklace tight as a rage so strong that it nearly knocks him over, hits him in the chest.

“It’s the Cheongs, Hwayoung has him.” Chan snarls. “They took Felix to get to me.”

“Then they won’t kill him,” Changbin reassures him. “They’re waiting for you. Whatever they’re planning, they want you there to witness.”

“Then we’re wasting time.” Minho says.

“One of you should really go back-”

“Don’t even try to argue with us, we’re coming with you. The rest of the pack have a handle on things. Trust in the ones that follow you. Trust your pack, Chan. The ones attacking us are not part of this family and they will be dealt with. We’re the strongest pack in the region for a reason, they can handle it. Let’s go.” Minho orders as he turns to leave. He’s one of the best hunters in the pack, Minho will have no problem tracking them down. He takes a deep sniff of the air and then without a word their fellow alpha bolts into the thicket. Changbin and Chan follow after him, they head deeper into the woods, the souring scent of peaches turns his stomach as they weave in and out of trees.

A howl rings through the air causing a small sense of relief to wash over him. Chan answers his mate’s call, reassuring Felix that he’s on his way. As the three of them run they hear movement in the trees, growls begin to get louder. Suddenly the three of them are ambushed from all sides. A hoard of wolves appearing from within the trees launch themselves at the trio. They instantly shift into their wolf forms, unwilling to give their opponent an unfair advantage.

There’s at least a dozen enemy wolves and they all run straight towards Chan. If they take him out then the Bahng pack is theirs to claim.  Chan will never let that happen. All threats to his family will be eliminated. He recognizes a couple of them but he closes off his emotions. He won’t give anyone the satisfaction of seeing him upset. He’s distraught from this betrayal, but they’ll all get what’s coming to them.

Minho and Changbin manage to take down a couple of them but it’s still Chan that takes the brunt of the attack. He bites and claws at them all but there’s too many and they keep coming. The alpha shakes off two wolves and pounces on another, sharp teeth going straight for the jugular. Blood fills Chan’s mouth and the wolf beneath him is dead in an instant. The heavy weight of three or more wolves hits from all sides and Chan topples off the corpse.

Someone yanks at Chan’s chain and it snaps off of the wolf’s neck and it’s crushed in the ongoing tussle. The effect is instant. Chan’s wolf has been raging underneath his skin since the attacks began, his untamed anger threatening to crack up at any moment. The only thing keeping his beastly state of mind at bay was the scent of Felix dangling beneath his nose. The omega’s sweet scent keeps him calm, composed and level headed. Stopping Chan from getting lost in his fury and slipping into a feral state of mind. But it’s too late for that now. His last lifeline has been crushed.

Chan’s movements are deadlier than before, the carnage immense. The enemy seems to realize the change in him and that they’re truly beginning to lose the fight. The pack alpha growls and the force and ferocity behind it makes everyone halt in place. They begin to whine and cower back in fear. Silent pleas of surrender. It’s over and the enemy knows it.

But there will be no negotiating or begging for mercy. None of them will be leaving this fight with minor injuries because they won’t be escaping at all. Anyone standing in Chan’s way of getting to Felix will die. The alpha loses all humanity to his wolf. The only thought in his brain is to kill. They try to fight the dominance in his snarl but it’s no use. They cower in submission, even Changbin and Minho step back. Trying to avoid the eventual blood splatter. The remaining wolves won’t stand a chance, and with a deep and guttural howl Chan descends on them.

☾𖤓

Felix wakes up to a pounding headache. Hwajoon had hit him hard. Blearily he opens his eyes and takes in his surroundings. He’s laying in a clearing, and Felix can tell he’s still in the Bahng territory. As consciousness fully returns to him, Felix can hear the sound of rushing water. He realizes he's close to the river where he and Chan first met. He groans from the pain and when he tries to sit up he realizes he’s hog-tied. Felix groans in annoyance, this is going to take forever to get out of.

“I see you’re finally awake.” The voice of his former pack leader speaks and Felix takes a deep breath to compose himself. He could not afford to lose his temper right now. All he could do was hope that someone found him before they killed him. Felix wasn’t going down without a fight, he had too much to lose. A family he needed to protect.

“It would appear so.” Felix drawls sarcastically as he turns his face towards the sound of Myungdae’s voice.

“Did you think you could get away with stealing from Hwayoung?” he snaps. “Abandoning your pack and betraying us. Skip out on your own promise to Hwanjoon.”

“You stole my mate, you bitch and you ruined the Cheong’s connection to the Bahngs. Did you really think we would let that slide?” Hwayoung, hisses from his right. Felix turns his face towards her. Her voice is still as irritating and her scent off putting as ever.

“Well I was hoping that you would have accepted defeat by now.” Felix grumbles, he shifts his left arm over his right to cover his hand as he unleashes his claws. It’s difficult but he manages to get them hooked onto the rope binding his wrists. He slowly begins to try and saw through the rope. Trying to keep them talking in order to stall whatever they’re planning. Chan is most likely going on a rampage to find him and Minho is one of the best trackers in the pack. It wouldn’t be long before they got to him, Felix just has to make sure he can hold his own until they do.

Hwayoung stomps forward and kicks him in the stomach, he rolls back from the force and panic and fury jolts through him. Felix tries his best to maneuver his body so his stomach isn’t exposed. They already have a death sentence placed on their heads but once Felix manages to release himself from his confines he’s going to kill her for possibly hurting his child. “Chan was supposed to be my mate. I was supposed to be the luna of the greatest pack in the region and you fucked everything up by being a whore!” She snarls. “You seduced him from me!”

“Chan never liked you, he found you revolting. So what if you were promised to him, he would have never accepted you as his mate. He despises you!”

“He would have learned to love me!” she screams. “All he needed was time! Time that you stole from me!”

“Hwayoung,” Myungdae hisses. “Enough, you’ll get your chance. Everything will be restored back to the way it should be.” he reassures his daughter. “Very soon, we just have to be patient.”

“What do you mean?” Felix asks through gritted teeth as he ignores the pain in his abdomen.

“I mean that you’ll be disposed of and Hwayoung will take her rightful place as the luna to the Bahng pack.”

Felix snarls at their audacity. “You can’t be serious.” he takes in his surroundings and gapes at the sight of some of his pack members. Although he already knew some of them were a part of this it still hurt to find out the truth.

“A perfect union was ruined because of you and now we’re going to make things right.” Myungda states. “Chan will mate with Hwayoung. We’ve already found another mate for Hwangjoon that’s far better than you. But we’ll keep you alive long enough just so Chan can watch you die.” The thought of putting Chan through that torture made Felix’s blood boil. These people wouldn’t get the chance to put his mate through that. Felix worked on the ropes harder, smirking when he felt them begin to give way. No one noticed that his hands were almost free. Felix was worried about getting his legs untied but he prayed his flexibility would help him.

“Even if I die, Chan will never mate with her. You’re delusional.”

“He will for the sake of his pack.”

The omega howls loudly, desperately hoping it reaches his family. “We’re much stronger than you think, just because some of the Bahng pack are on your side doesn't mean they won’t bow down and let you control them. They’ll do whatever Chan says and if that ensures a fight that ends in bloodshed so be it.” Felix snarls, just as he claws slice through the rope. His arms break free and he jolts a bit from the break in the rope but everyone is too distracted to notice when wrestling comes through the trees. Felix perks up at the sound, hoping it’s someone that can help, but the familiar scent of rosewood puts him on edge. Yunseo walks slowly through the thicket, stoned face and Felix’s stomach drops. He knows the former pack leader hates him but he never could have imagined to this extent.

“Oh, Yunseo. You’re just in time.” Myungdae, greets.

“How could you betray Chan like this!” Felix screams, tears brimming in his eyes. He tries to claw at the restraints on his legs faster. If Yunseo is behind this then this plot is far more sinister than he thought. Felix refuses to die here, he won’t give Yunseo or any of these people the satisfaction of watching him die. “I didn’t think you hated me so much that you'd be so cruel to your son.”

“I-” Yunseo begins to respond but a loud and angry howl calls through the trees and this time a small sense of relief washes through Felix. Chan is coming for him. His mate will be here soon and he’ll handle this. He strains his back in order to snag a claw onto the rope binding his ankles. His anger and composer gone as he saws through the ropes harder than before. He has to get out of this before Chan gets here. Everyone is too focused on their early victory to notice what Felix is doing. But then Yunseo looks right at him and he freezes. Fear courses through him as the man walks towards him. Felix is terrified that he’s about to die by the hands of Chan’s sire.

“Ah, I see.” Myungdae smirks. “You want to do the honors of killing the omega that ruined your pack. Of course.” Yunseo is silent as he continues to make his way over to Felix. The omega shakes his head in fear trying to move backwards as he continues to work on the ropes. His binds on his legs are thicker than the ones that were on his arms and he whimpers as Yunseo bends down and grabs him by the throat.

“Please don’t do this.” Felix pleads as the man leans in close.

“Play along.” He whispers in Felix’s ear just as he leans forward and slices through the ropes binding the omega’s ankles. Felix is so confused and he doesn’t understand what’s happening but before he can say anything the rumbling sound of paws stamping on the dirt comes closer. Chan’s enraged cries call through the thicket and then he’s barreling into the clearing in his wolf form. Felix instantly notices that his chain is gone, his maw is drenched in blood, and his eyes are red and wild. Chan has gone completely feral and Felix almost feels sorry for them all. None of them are about to make it out alive.

Chan growls as his eyes search for his mate. Changbin and Minho come barreling in moments later. Yunseo sets him free and Myungdae cries out in outrage. Felix tries to make a run for it to get to Chan. Hwangjoon steps in the way to block his path. It’s a mistake because Chan is on him in seconds, jaw clamping around his throat and ripping it out. He’s dead before his body even hits the ground. Myungdae and Hwayoung cry out in horror, and before the Cheong alpha can say anything else, Chan is charging towards him. That kicks off the fight, Minho and Changbin follow suit and charge into the clearing. Yunseo shifts and charges at Myungdae as well. Felix uses the chance to charge straight towards Hwayoung. The woman that thinks she has a claim on his pack and his alpha doesn’t deserve to breathe a moment longer.

She sees him coming and tries to make a run for it but Felix is pouncing on her and sinking his claws into her back before she has a chance to defend herself. She screams out in pain as Felix tears into her. Hwayoung tries to scramble away, claws digging into the dirt as she fights for her life but Felix doesn’t give her the chance. She threatened his life and by extension the life of his child, Hwayoung was going to pay. Felix tears into her and he’s too far gone to notice when she stops screaming and what remains of her body goes stiff. He’s stopped when a firm hand is placed on his shoulder.

“Felix, you can stop,” Yunseo says calmly. “She’s dead.”

Felix gets up, panting heavily, body trembling in rage, he’s drenched in blood that’s already beginning to tack onto his skin and his hair. The omega quickly comes back to himself as he looks around. The damage has been done. It’s carnage. There’s bodies thrown everywhere and the wolves that have surrendered are backed into a corner in the trees. Felix looks for Chan and finds him over the remains of the Cheong pack leader's body or at least what’s left of it. Chan has literally torn Myungdae apart and the only thing Felix can make out are limbs. His mate is panting heavily, and his growl is so low and dangerous that nobody dares to make another move. Chan’s eyes shift to Felix, and when he sees his sire’s hand on his mate's shoulder, he snarls and in flash the alpha is bounding towards them. He’s fast and his eyes are trained on Yunseo; Felix knows Chan is going in for the kill. The omega doesn’t hesitate when he throws himself in front of the older man to stop his mate’s attack.

“Chan stop!”

☾𖤓

Chan growls in absolute fury as his mate steps in front of the enemy. He doesn’t understand why his omega is protecting the one responsible for all of this but Chan can’t get to Yunseo without hurting his omega. The alpha snarls enraged. He can’t think past his mate being in danger. Chan needs to protect his omega from everyone and everything.

“I’m alright.” Felix speaks softly as he raises his hands up as a show of submission that the rabid wolf needs. “He saved me. He didn’t hurt me. I’m safe.” The omega reassures as he gently holds Chan’s maw in his hands. Felix gazes at his mate with warm loving eyes and kisses the tip of his alpha’s nose. “I’m alright Channie.”

Now that he’s close, the pack alpha starts to sniff him. Chan nudges his nose against Felix’s torso and begins to circle around him. Sharp teeth on display and glaring at every on looker. Almost daring them to come closer and find out the consequences. Too far gone to remember they weren’t a threat. Everyone knew better than to come close. Chan starts to nudge Felix with his head, pushing the omega away from everyone to keep them all away. Despite the situation Felix was incredibly endeared. He couldn’t help but to laugh. Everyone around them waits on bated breath, scared to make any sudden movements that could aggravate Chan further.

Felix takes the lead in the situation and addresses his pack. “Take the surviving betrayers and Cheong’s back to the village and restrain them. Keep them locked up and under constant watch.”

“Yes, Luna.” Minho addressed Felix by his title, Changbin nods as well. To Felix’s surprise, Yunseo bows his head to him as well. Chan steps in front of him blocking anyone from coming near his mate. The omega runs his hands through the alpha’s fur to soothe him. Chan huffs but he’s still on high alert as he slowly backs them out of the clearing and towards the trees. Felix lets him, following his alpha’s lead and moving backwards. He nods at his pack as they get further away. They’ll be fine without their leaders for a couple of hours. Right now Chan’s wolf needs to protect and Felix needs to bring him out of his headspace.

The alpha is still on edge once everyone is out of sight, but he allows himself to turn his back to the clearing. Felix gently grabs Chan by the back of his neck to guide him towards the riverbank. His alpha turns his head to lick at his arm. A mix between needing to claim his omega and self-soothing. The sound of rushing water approaches faster and soon they’re back at the place where they first met.

“Channie,” Felix turns to face the wolf as he begins to walk backwards into the river. “My love, come here and rinse off with me. We’re disgusting.” As satisfying as it was to be covered in the blood of their enemies, it was starting to congeal on his skin and it was irritating. Plus blood was matted in Chan’s fur and needed to be washed out. His alpha had done a lot of damage in this headspace. Felix has never seen Chan lose control to this extent before but he wasn’t ashamed to admit that the brutality was arousing him. He kept walking backwards until the water was above his waist. His mate was still diligently beside him. Felix dunks himself fully underneath the roaring current and Chan follows suit. When they break the surface Chan has fully shifted back to human.

That crazed look is still in his eyes. It’s possessive and as his mate tugs him against his chest, the omega gasps from the sharp force of which he’s pulled in. Felix is pressed up against Chan’s soaked chest, both his small hands squeezed in between them and groping his mate’s pecks. Felix squeaks from the shock and then Chan’s mouth is on him. He bites into the omega’s mating mark hard. Felix cries out for his alpha, instinctively trying to get closer. His tongue laps over the bloody and bruised skin, as Felix’s claws dig into his pecks.

Channie.” Felix moans out his name, hips beginning to rut against Chan’s thigh. His alpha’s cock is already rising to attention. “Alpha.” he whimpers just as Chan claims his lips. He melts into his alpha’s touch letting the older man consume him. Every action was ferocious and possessive. Felix could smell the burning anger in his alpha’s scent. The fear of almost losing his mate and the desperate need to feel him. Felix feels it all too, he fiercely needs his mate all over him, in him. The omega aches for Chan and their connection. “Alpha please-” he begs and Chan growls deep within his throat and lifts Felix up by the back of his thighs. Kisses hungry as Chan carries them back to the edge. He puts his mate down, rougher than intended but the alpha is still too far gone in his feral state to realize.

Felix is too eager to care, quickly getting onto all fours in the rivers edge and presenting himself to his alpha. Chan rumbles deeply in approval and within seconds he’s mounting him. Felix cries out as his mate thrusts in deep. His body takes Chan’s length to the hilt, so well adjusted to his size. His alpha instantly starts a brutal pace, it’s rough and fast. There’s nothing gentle about the way Chan is fucking him. His actions are dominant and possessive, all consuming. But Felix knows this means more than that. This is Chan’s wolf reassuring themselves that their omega is there and safe and Felix loves it. He cries out his mate’s name as the rough fucking continues, burying his face into his folded arms. His body shifts forward into the mossy dirt with each thrust. Nothing coherent escapes the omega’s mouth, as he continues to take what he’s given.

Felix can already feel the warm pressure in his body begin to rise and he’s so close to the edge when Chan suddenly pulls out without warning. He cries out mournfully from his bliss cut short but he completely collapses and his eyes begin to roll back in his skull at the wet and warm feeling of his alpha’s tongue against his folds.

Chan laps at his cunt like a starving man, lapping up Felix’s slick like it's his first taste of water in months. It’s pure bliss as his mate devours his essences in order to extinguish the rage inside of him. Felix is too weak to turn his head and attempt to glance back at his mate. But Chan’s heavy panting, and the wet sounds of his slick against the alpha’s tongue ring loudly into the air. His mate grips his ass and starts to thrust his tongue inside his pussy. Felix’s eyes flutter shut as his mouth opens wider, drool dripping down onto the dirt.

Channie-” he cries out, hips pushing back against his tongue despite his exhaustion. “Alpha, please-” Felix doesn’t even know what he’s begging for but all he knows is that he wants it. His mate snarls and pulls back, getting up off of his knees to squat behind the omega to mount him again. Chan thrusts his thick cock back inside of his mate’s cunt, hand reaching down to cup the back of Felix’s neck to keep him in place as he ravages him. The omega screams out in pure bliss, squirting around his length from the force of his sudden orgasm.

Dark spots start to flash in his eyes and Felix feels so good that he’s on the verge of passing out. Chan’s knot is beginning to expand and the omega so desperately wants to be claimed. He can’t move, forced to take all of his alpha to the hilt. Felix can feel Chan in his stomach, his body trembles at the feeling. He’s so fucking deep and the omega wants his alpha’s knot so it locks his cock inside of him. It’s getting harder for Chan to pull out and when he starts to snarl and his thrusts become erratic Felix knows he’s about to cum.

It doesn’t take long for Chan’s knot to lock inside him, the warm feeling of the alpha’s release flooding into him makes Felix’s eyes roll back in his skull. He twitches as another orgasm is forced out of him, a copious amount of his creamy slick and Chan’s sperm leak past his entrance. Felix feels so high but it’s all too stimulating for his body to handle and without warning he begins to black out.

☾𖤓

Felix wakes up to the light press of lips trailing down the nap of his neck. He purrs in content as big arms squeeze his middle tightly. It takes the omega a moment to realize that he’s in a seated position in between Chan’s legs. His mate’s knot is no longer nestled inside of him and Felix finds that he’s been bathed. Gentle fingers run through his damp hair and the omega hums in approval, tilting his head back to look up at his alpha. Chan is already looking at Felix, eyes so full of love. His mate is back to his normal self, the tension in his body is gone and Chan looks so relieved now that the danger has passed. Felix smiles and reaches up to cup Chan’s cheek.

“Hi love, are you with me?” Felix asks, voice soft. Chan’s hand gently cups his throat to keep him still as he leans down to kiss his omega deeply. The fog has been lifted from his mind and his tunnel vision of rage and possessiveness has faded.

“Yeah love, I’m here.” Chan kisses him again. “Are you alright?”

“I’m fine, and you?”

“I barely got a scratch.” he snorts as he removes his hand from Felix’s throat and wraps his arm loosely around his chest instead. Chan buries his face into Felix’s neck to breathe in his scent. Now that he can think clearly Chan knows that his mate is no longer in danger and that he can relax. But seeing Felix tied up like that sent him into a rage that Chan has never experienced before. He needs Felix’s scent to keep him calm. As he continues to scent his mate he notices there’s a miniscule change in the omega’s pheromones, almost milky. “You smell a little different.” Felix stiffens for a moment.

“Do I?”

“Mhmm, it’s almost milky, thicker if that makes sense?”

Felix looks like he’s moments away from crying but there’s a wide and hopeful smile on his face. “Well I guess that confirms my suspicions." he says happily.

“Huh?” Felix takes Chan’s arm from around his throat and entwines their fingers. Bringing their joined hands together to rest on his stomach. The omega tilts his chin to properly kiss his mate.

“I’ve been feeling under the weather for the past week in the mornings. I’ve had my suspicions as to what might be the cause. I was on my way to the healers to confirm when all the chaos started happening.” Felix explains. He could see the way Chan was beginning to tear up as he realizes what Felix is implying.

“Really? You think so?”

“Yes,” he nods, eyes watering with happy tears. “I still want to go to the healers to make sure but Channie, I really think we’re going to be parents.”

“Felix-I, oh my god baby, that’s amazing. No wonder I fucking lost it when I smelled your scent after you went missing.” Felix winces at the reminder, the guilt of leaving Aera alone for only a split moment causing a pang in his heart. They can talk about it all later but right now he doesn’t want to ruin this moment. “I love you so much honey. I don’t know what I’d do without you?”

“Well it’s a good thing you’ll never have to find out.” Felix smiles, kissing him again. “Are you ready to go back and lead the pack?”

“I guess I have to be.” He huffs, squeezing Felix tighter, pressing his palm against his mate’s stomach and rubbing gently. “There’s a lot to handle, and as much as I want to stay out here with you, I don’t want our friends to handle everything without us.”

Felix pecks his lips. “You’ve been guiding the pack for three years and this little coup was handled and ended quickly because of you. You’re a great pack leader, Channie. I’m proud of you.”

“And I’m proud of you too.” Chan nuzzles his cheek with his nose. “You handled things amazingly.” Felix doesn’t think so but he won’t refute his mate. They sit for a few more minutes before getting up. The omega stumbles a bit; Chan ends up picking Felix up and carrying him back to the village. The alpha howls to let the pack know they’re on their way.

“Channie, put me down.” Felix giggles, Chan lightly tosses him a little to be silly. It only makes Felix laugh harder. He swats at his mate’s chest. The alpha just grins and he’s about to reply when he spots their cabin coming up in the distance, Seungmin and Jeongin on the edge, clothes in hand.

“Welcome back,” Seungmin greets, handing over the garments. “Everyone is fine and the threat has been handled.”

“Did you kill them?” Chan asks as he and Felix put their clothes on. Seungmin and Jeongin’s faces fall.

“Shit, were we not supposed to do that?” The couple turn to each other in a panic. Felix cackles just as he’s tying his pants. The pack leader shakes his head. Chan did want to be the one to handle it but he finds that he really doesn’t care. As long as the threat to his pack has been stomped out then that’s all that matters.

“Eh,” Chan shrugs. “As long as it’s handled then that’s all I care about. I still need to address the pack regardless.”

“Everyone is waiting for you. If you need to take more time it’s fine. Everything’s being handled.”

“I’m ready, it's better to get it out of the way now. With this little stunt that was pulled today, I clearly have to make some things crystal clear to the rest of the pack.”

“How is Aera?” Felix asks, there’s a slight tremble in his voice and Chan wraps his arm around his mate's shoulder for comfort, tilting his head to press his lips to Felix’s temple. Seungmin gives him a reassuring smile and moves in to squeeze his hands.

“Aera is fine Felix, I promise. She's safe, still a little shaken, but she’s been with Hyunjin and Jisung the entire time. And now that Changbin is back, she hasn’t left his arms since. Aera is safe, you don’t have to worry.” Jeongin answers, reassuring his pack luna. A huge sense of relief washes over Felix knowing that the pup is safe. He swallows thickly, staying silent in fear that he might burst into tears if he opens his mouth again.

“You'll see her soon, baby,” Chan squeezes him closer to his side. “Come on, let’s go to our pack.” He kisses his cheek before guiding them to the village center. Chan howls to announce their arrival and Jeongin and Seungmin catch their pack leaders up on everything they missed.

The entire pack is present by the time they reach the center. The atmosphere is grim as Chan and Felix step up to the podium. The leaders look out at their pack and Felix’s eyes begin to water again when he sees Changbin holding Aera securely in his arms. Hyunjin is right next to him bouncing their new pup in his hold. Beside them is Minho and Jisung with their daughter standing in between them. Seungmin and Jeongin move to stand beside their friends. It gives the leaders a sense of relief that their large family is all safe.

Chan spots his parents standing at the edge of the crowd. He sighs in relief knowing his dam’s injuries weren’t fatal. Chan vaguely remembers being ready to kill his sire in his feral state. He wouldn’t have regretted it if he had. There is nothing in this world that Chan wouldn’t do for Felix. He acknowledges them for a brief moment before he focuses attention onto the pack.

“Let me make one thing perfectly clear,” Chan starts as he looks over his pack, voice stern. “Felix is the Luna of this pack and that will never change. If you have a problem with that then you’re free to peacefully leave right now. But know this, any threat to my mate is considered a threat to the entire pack. So unless you want to end up like the scum that dared to challenge me and question my leadership then I suggest you accept it now or leave.” The pack alpha addresses the last words to his parents. Really drilling his point into everyone’s heads that there will be deadly consequences for anyone that challenges his authority. “So if you want to go, feel free to do it now.”

No one moves, a few people gaze around the crowd to gauge their reaction and seem to give up in silence. “Now that that’s settled, let me tell you all about how proud I am of the resilience, courage and strength you’ve shown today. We’ve managed to get through the day with no casualties on our side. And we’ve kept our young ones safe. You’ve shown why the Bahng pack is the strongest and I couldn’t be more proud as pack leader. Let’s continue to stay strong. You’re all dismissed.” He keeps his speech short and to the point. He and Felix step down, speaking to the members of the pack that approach them.

Over the crowd, they can see Yunseo and Dalrae observing. Chan’s dam is looking at them with eyes full of pride. Chan locks eyes with his sire and Yunseo slightly bows to them before guiding Dalrae away. Chan and Felix take the silent gesture for what it is. It’s an apology and an acceptance of their union. Yunseo saving Felix in the forest was a turning point. Now he hopes that all of them can form a proper relationship in the future. It will take time but the omega is certain that they’ll get there eventually.

“Excuse me,” Jeongin calls as he squeezes his way through the crowd. “I would like to have a quick check up with our pack Luna to make sure there’s no long lasting injuries.” He gently takes a hold of Felix’s elbow and starts to pull him out of the crowd. Chan moves to follow but Jeongin stops him. “Focus on the rest of the pack, alpha. You’ll survive being separated for a short while.”

Chan looks like he wants to refute that but Felix stops him. “Focus on our family, Channie. I’m alright.” He reassures and Chan huffs but lets them go. His mate is right. The danger is gone and everyone is safe. Even though his inner wolf protests being apart, it’s fine. Chan has nothing to worry about right now.

By the time Felix makes it back to their cabin, Chan is already there. He doesn’t even make it past the threshold before his mate is scooping Felix into his arms. “So what did Jeongin say?” The alpha asks eagerly. He looks like an excited puppy and Felix smiles wide as he nods.

“I’m pregnant, and despite the minor injuries besides the kick to the stomach, he thinks that the pup and I are safe.” Felix tells him. Chan lifts him up and spins Felix around in excitement. The alpha kisses him long and passionately, leaving Felix breathless when he pulls away.

“Sweetheart this is amazing, wish I could go back in time and kill Hwayoung myself. But you tore her apart already and I’m so proud of you.” Chan holds Felix like he’s something precious. “Thank you for this blessing, baby.” His mate laughs as he pushes Chan deeper into the cabin. He wraps his arms around his alpha’s neck, locking their lips together. Three years of instantly mating and falling in love fast has led to this. Felix and Chan were creating a life together. Expanding their family and the Banng pack by extension. The promise of a happy future is exciting and the couple can’t wait to watch it all unfold.

They can’t help it when they continue kissing. The pride they feel from creating a new life together is too great to be contained. It doesn’t take long for their innocent smooches to turn lustful and soon clothes are frantically stripped off as they stumble into their bedroom. They're completely naked by the time Chan has Felix spread out on the edge of the bed. The alpha reaches over the omega to into their bedside drawer. Felix rolls his eyes playfully when he sees what his mate pulls out.

“Channie, seriously?” Felix giggles when he sees the pretty glass vial. His mate leans down to kiss him hungrily before placing the vial on the bed beside Felix’s head. Chan makes a slow descent down the omega’s torso. Trailing kisses down his stomach before he’s on his knees in between Felix’s legs.

“What? I’m trying to savor this for as long as I can. When our pup is born we’ll be so occupied that I won’t have the time to collect your slick. I gotta make these moments count.” Chan teases and Felix playfully tugs at his alpha’s hair.

“You’re so silly.” Felix laughs as he cradles his mate’s face in his hands from in between his legs. His gaze completely smitten. “I love you.” Chan smiles softly as he presses kisses on the omega’s inner thighs.

“I love you too.” Chan hums. “Now pass me the vial, Peaches."
