Chapter 1: I'm on a bench in Coney Island, "wondering where did my baby go?".

Chapter Text

It was Wednesday, Giyuu's day to pick up their daughter Yuuki from school, yet Sanemi got a call from the school saying that she was not picked up; Giyuu doesn't forget simple tasks like that, she is always on top of things, she has always been like that. Even if she got bad grades, she still studied to try and understand it (Though she never did.) If a birthday was in 4 months, she bought a gift early.

Sanemi went to pick Yuuki up and dropped her off at Giyuu's older sister Tsutako and Tsutako's husband.
Sanemi did this because he knows something is wrong. Something is wrong with Giyuu, he is very nervous to find out what it is.

It's silent when he arrives home. Not unusual, when they first started living together before they had Yuuki, it was silent most of the time. But this is not the normal silence. It's too eerie

----------------------------------------------

"Oh god." Sanemi is gonna puke. Fuck. What the fuck. He unties the rope from the roof, her body thuds to the ground because he didn’t have time to catch her. he checks Giyuu's pulse. How do you check a pulse again? What are you supposed to do in these moments? Should he call Tsutako? Should he call 119?
Sanemi is stuck in place, untying the tope around Giyuu's neck shakily. Her fingers are raw and bloody, like she tried to get out of the rope, like she regretted it. Small scars are visible on her wrists; Sanemi doesn't care about that.
He picks up his phone and dials 119. Ambulances come; it's all a really fuzzy memory.

----------------------------------------------

Giyuu is barely alive, they tell Sanemi, if he had come any later, she would be dead.

She coded twice, but they didn't use the shock thing Sanemi sees in that show Giyuu loves to watch after they put Yuuki down to sleep. As she codes for the third time, Sanemi asks why they don't use the shock things to help her, they have them in the room after all, "We don't use Defibrillator's on people who are pregnant," one doctor says. Pregnant? Giyuu is pregnant? Did she know? Probably not if she did this. Though Sanemi will have to wait to ask her.
Sanemi calls Tsutako and lets her know that Yuuki will need to spend the night. Tsutako says that it's alright.

----------------------------------------------

Giyuu wakes up the next day, she said it hurts to talk, so, they don't talk. Sanemi knows they need to have a conversation about this, but not now, that is for another day.
What is good is that she is alive, she didn't die, she will be here another day. Sanemi didn't lose her like he lost his mom. He is glad he didn't.
