Rain falls down from the gray skies in a drizzle. Soft enough that it wasn't audible to everyone inside the university but enough that you could watch the rain drops against the large windows. Mist could be seen in the distance and making the mountains and forest practically invisible with the occasional car headlight piercing through the thin mist.
Despite classes having ended an hour ago, many students still lingered behind in the library to get their homework and studying done. Quackity was one of those students, sitting at one of the many circular wooden tables with two huge law books stacked on top of each other with another one open in front of him with an open notebook to the side so he could take notes. He had to get this studying done for his upcoming test and couldn't afford any distractions.
Which is why he's now wondering why he brought his boyfriend along.
"You're staring again," Quackity points out as he keeps his focus on his notebook, quickly glancing between the book and his notes as he copies down a passage from the book in it, his hand moving fast as he scribbles it down in his slightly messy handwriting.
"How could I not? You look so cute when you're focused," Wilbur replies with a smirk that Quackity could hear. He lets out a small huff and finally glances up from his notes to see that he was right as he was met with Wilbur's typical smile he wears whenever he feels like teasing Quackity, his head leaning into the palm of his hand as it was propped up by his elbow.
"How do I look cute?" Quackity asks, trying hard to hold back the smile he didn't want to appear on his face. He didn't want to admit that he loved studying with Wilbur even if the other man spent most of the time distracting Quackity and making him blush. He knows in the end Wilbur will help him with studying once he's had his fun.
"Your little nose scrunches up when you're focusing and you always bounce your right leg when you're trying to figure something out. It's adorable!" Wilbur explains which causes Quackity to blush and his smile to escape a little bit with a small smile forming on his face.
"I'm not adorable!"
"Yes you are."
Quackity huffs and looks back down at his book although he isn't really taking any of the words in as he listens to Wilbur's quiet chuckle. His face feels a little hot and he's sure he looks flushed right now.
"Are you actually going to work on your homework? I know you have some," Quackity asks in order to change the subject, giving Wilbur his best glare even though there wasn't any heat behind it.
"I'm already done!" Wilbur proudly exclaims as he flips his notebook right side up for Quackity to show off his neat, cursive handwriting and color coded notes. They were simple but had everything he would need to know. Quackity just wrote down whatever would help him.
"No fair!"
"Way fair!"
Quackity lets out a small groan while throwing his head back. Then he hears some shuffling and looks over to see Wilbur had moved his chair to sit beside Quackity and is leaning in close. He blushes once more and smiles as Wilbur starts to help him with making his notes a little nicer and helping him write what he needed to know, only making the occasional joke.
Quackity hopes they never quit doing their study dates.
