Had a guy use the jukebox and queued up ‘survivor’ by reba like 20 times. Eventually we had to unplug the jukebox after the 6th play. Its a great song but i can only be a single mom who works two jobs so many times. Once we unplugged it, he immediately closed out and left. No tip.

A regular came in and offered me $200 cash for the tshirt I had on (was nothing special, just the bar uniform shirt). Went to the back and changed, and got my $200. Never saw him again. It's been over a year.

I watched these two guys stare longingly at each other for like several minutes all the while these girls were literally dancing on them/making out with them. i felt like I was intruding even tho i was literally at my place of work and we were in public.

Edited to add:

The full story, for the like 3 people who asked:

So basically i’m a barback at this club, and to start, the night this all happened, the bar was literally so crazy. We had several VIPs in the building, there was a line out the door, and genuinely i’ve never had so much shit to do during a shift before. It felt busier than new years eve.

On one of my laps to collect dirty glasses, i noticed this couple dancing together. The girl was actually one of the VIPs, she’s actually a pretty famous actress, and she was with her boyfriend, who i think was in the olympics? (don’t come for me, i don’t watch sports). I saw them and immediately felt the vibe was OFF- not in a creepy or bad way, but in like a… ‘something smells a lil fruity here and it isn’t her friends vodka cranberry’ way… if u catch my drift. Mr. olympics over here seemed so uninterested in her that it actually felt awkward watching them dance together. Girl literally had her hands up his shirt and he was like forcing himself to kiss her (at least thats the vibe i got). I was seconds away from begging that man to let me in step in so she could have someone who gaf about her… but unfortunately i had to cut more limes for the bar </3.

Maybe like 15 min later, a different group drunkenly knocks over their whole table, including all their drinks and of course, i had to deal with it and clean it up. I was on the floor with the dustpan, when i noticed mr. olympics walk away from his girlfriend. He stopped dead in his tracks in the middle of the packed dance floor, and just stares at this other (straight) couple on the dance floor who are, keep in mind, like 10 feet away from him TOPS. when i looked over at the other couple, blondie (the guy) IMMEDIATELY noticed Mr. olympics, and also just stares back. Keep in mind, blondie is FULLY kissing this girls neck, feeling her up, but is staring back at mr. olympics. For like half a second, I thought I was about to have to get security to break up a fight, but then i actually saw their faces and could tell they were absolutely staring at eachother longingly. There was so much pain in their eyes, I could sense that even from the floor. I got up to dump the glass in the garbage, and when I turned around, I watched Mr. olympics’ girlfriend drag him back to their booth, and that was kinda that. I looked at the other people in the club, and I guess no one else clocked what had happened, and neither did any of my coworkers. I tried to get my manager to pull the tapes, but he claimed they delete every 48 hours </3

Mr. olympics & blondie, if ur reading this i hope u figure ur shit out soon, and pls invite me to ur wedding <3

Notes:

i've never worked in a nightclub, but i currently work at two different restaurants (as a server & a food runner), and there was a time I was briefly a barback. yesterday at work, while i was being quadruple sat, and was fighting for my life running around, all i could think was like "if i worked in that club where they all went, i would've clocked their tea cause i'm in peoples business & im nosy" and so i went home and wrote this. :)
