Work Text:
The wind was howling against the window panes of their bedroom when Mathias woke, curled into the blazing furnace that was his lover. He glanced over Flynn’s shoulder to see the snow piled up high on the window sill from a rare Stormwind blizzard. With a sigh he rolled to get out of bed, but the arms around him tightened and tugged him back against a broad chest.
“Where do you think you are going?” came the sleep roughened voice behind him
Mathias huffed and turned himself in Flynn’s arms to face the man.
“I need to get dressed to head to the office.”
“Nope, nope, nope. You are staying here today, Master Shaw. There is a blizzard outside. You’re staying home with me in this nice warm bed.”
“Flynn -”
“Nope! Mathias, it's freezing and snowing, and you know how your leg acts up in the cold. Just stay here where I can keep you warm.”
Flynn dropped a kiss to the top of his head. Mathias gave a soft groan.
“Alright, you’ve convinced me.” He snuggled into Flynn’s chest, wrapping an arm around his waist and pressing a kiss to his jaw before tucking his face into the crook of his neck.
